It was almost one o’clock in the afternoon and Kaiyo Habane was just getting up for the day. Blinking and bleary-eyed, the teenager stared out her bedroom window at the busy streets of West Capitol as she tried to wake herself up all the way. The redhead had once again stayed out all night. It had been pretty uneventful, but at least she had thought to bring along her mp3 player and a pair of headphones. Her late night meandering had definitely been more lively with heavy drum beats filling her ears. It was a nice change of pace to the usual stillness of the night.
After getting dressed in her usual attire and tying her hair up in pigtails, Kaiyo let out a big yawn as she shuffled out of her bedroom. Athren was working out in the living room as usual. It seemed like every time she saw the guy, all he ever did was train. It wasn’t like the teen disliked training or anything. It had been one of the biggest constants in her life ever since she was four years old. However, even Kaiyo would have gotten burnt out if she had devoted that much time to it day in and day out. ”Mornin’,” she grumbled despite it clearly being the afternoon, tossing the Saiyan a wave before shuffling over to the fridge to pour herself some orange juice. With her beverage in hand, Kaiyo leaned against the counter and faced the guy who was in the middle of a set of pushups on the living room floor. ”So, what’s on the agenda today? More training?” she asked casually, already having a pretty good idea of the response she was going to get.
However, before Athren could answer Kaiyo’s question, the door to Anzu’s bedroom swung open. The elder of the Habane sisters strolled across the room wearing a rather nice looking blouse that completely concealed her large tattoo and a long black skirt. Her dark brown hair was free from its usual loose braid, and her high heels clicked on the hard wooden floor of the apartment. She was applying finishing touches to her makeup as she headed for the door. It smelled like she had gone a little overboard with her perfume.
”You’re all dolled up today, An. You got a date or something?” Kaiyo asked, eyes fixated on the drink in her hand and taking the occasional sip of it. Anzu stopped at the door and shot Athren a quick smile before turning to her sibling. ”That’s right. I’m meeting Ryosuke for lunch,” she answered, still putting the finishing touches on her face. The fiery-haired teenager raised an eyebrow, giving her sister an unamused look. ”Ryosuke? You mean the guy that was missing a spine? I thought you broke up with that loser.”
Anzu placed her hands on hips and let out a sigh, shaking her head and returning Kaiyo’s look of disproval. ”That ‘loser’ is both highly intelligent and quite the gentleman. He’s kind, he knows how to treat a woman, he’s got wonderful aspirations for the future-” ”Isn’t he the one that cried like a baby when you took him to see the slasher flick last month? I’ve never heard of a grown man sobbing because he thought the masked killer was going to come though the screen,” Kaiyo interrupted, rolling her eyes and snickering under her breath. ”Oh, come on. He didn’t actually think that was going to happen. He’s just got his quirks... I’m not a huge fan of all the fake looking gore in those movies, so it doesn’t bother me any. Anyway, I’m late as it is. You two have fun and keep the place clean. Ciao.” ”Mmhmm, later,” she grumbled as she watched her sibling disappear out the door, shutting it firmly behind her.
Kaiyo downed the rest of her orange juice and tossed the plastic cup in the sink. She honestly didn’t get her sister’s thought process on this one. The teenager had met Ryosuke once before. He was definitely the type of guy that would flip out and run away screaming once Anzu finally worked up the nerve to show him her pyrokinesis. It was going to end up just like the last guy she dated. And the one before that... And the one before that... And the one before THAT...
”Hey, mind opening up the window? This place stinks...” she spoke up looking in Athren’s direction, referring to the lingering smell of perfume that still hung heavily in the air from Anzu’s passing. Kaiyo motioned to large window that the couch was pushed up again, framed by cheap, green curtains. Whatever the hell her sister was planning with her current boyfriend today, she hoped it didn’t involve spilling the beans about the fact that their family could create and control fire. She would rather not have to deal with Anzu’s drunken shenanigans, which is pretty much always what happened when she scared a guy off like that.

What Kaiyo didn't know is that Athren had already been training for hours. He was an early rises usually and dedicated all of his time to training. Unfortunately Athren didn't realize that sometimes he did more harm then good to his body. When he trained hard he didn't give his body enough time to rest and heal and he just strained his muscles instead of letting them heal to gain the full benefits of his training. Lucky Athren was only doing light duty trainings lately as he didn't really have a sparring buddy yet.
Finally there was some other activity in the building other than just him doing his push ups. At the time Kaiyo had come and and mumbled mornin' Athren had already achieved about four hundred and some push ups for his location on the couch. When she said morning Athren greeting her back. "Morning." It wasn't much of a greeting but it was about the same as he got at that time. As he continued she followed up with another question. Athren was just about to answer before Anzu entered the room. Her perfume took over the whole apartment and Athren would have thought it smelled good if it was in a much smaller dose. He simply kept his mouth shut as he listened to the two speak back and fourth about some panzy earthling that Anzu was seeing.
He didn't sound like much of a man and Athren couldn't really see why she'd pick such a human like that. Sure he didn't meet the guy or know him from a whole in the ground but it didn't sound like he'd be able to handle some of the situations Anzu could get herself in. Especially while Athren was around. He did always bring lots of trouble to his location, no matter where he ended up.
Just as Anzu was leaving Athren had finished his push ups and stood straight up. His armour and scouter would have laid on the couch beside him along with the upper part of his saiyan suit. He was completely topless at this point. He glanced over at Kaiyo as he was about to open his mouth again but of course she had asked him to open the window. "Yeah. Sure. I'll get it." He then walked over to the window to unlatch and open the window to let the fresh air cleanse the perfume smelling apartment air.
"And.. To answer your first question. Of course more training. I'm not going to get stronger by sleeping in till.." He then looked at the clock and rounded it to the nearest hour. "One in the afternoon. I'm going to take a guess and say you had another long night out on the town?" Of course the first part was a little jab at her. It was only out of fun though. What Athren didn't realise is that Kaiyo could probably drop him in a fight if the full moon didn't present itself. If Athren actually found that out he'd probably lose it and throw a fit. It'd also be highly likely if he blasted out of the apartment and didn't return until he was much much stronger than her.
"So, Who's this Ryosuke guy?" He asked curiously as he turned to face Kaiyo. Though he did stay near the window. "He sounds like kind of a fool and a coward. The hell does she see in him?"

”It’s not like I spend more time sleeping than you do, I just go to bed a lot later,” Kaiyo remarked with a shrug of her shoulders. It the teenager had one Zenni for every time she had gotten lectured about her sleeping habits, she could buy the entire Southern continent. At least Athren didn’t seem to be the lecturing type. That was more of a thing that was done by her sister and her parents. It was actually kind of a nice change of pace. ”I’d go stir crazy if I stayed cooped up in here all the time, and there are way too many people out and about in the day for my liking. One persons’ hair or briefcase gets accidentally ignited and boom, everyone else on the sidewalk panics.”
She took a deep breath once the air in the room had started to clear up. Kaiyo didn’t know if there was something about the smell of artificial jasmine that rubbed her the wrong way. It might have been because Anzu always wore the stuff every time she decided to go pursue a guy, which always inevitably ended up in disaster. Either way, she couldn’t stand the stuff.
Kaiyo walked across room and plopped herself down in the armchair that sat next to the couch Athren normally slept on. Its back and arms had a couple of noticeable burn marks on them, but so did almost every other piece of furniture that littered the home of the Habane sisters. At this point that just meant it had been properly broken in. Thankfully there were at least four fire extinguishers per room, so the burns never got very big. Both of the young women that lived there had excellent reflexes when it came to putting out the random little fires that sprung up on a regular basis. It was kind of a necessity to be quick on the draw when it came to that.
”Ryosuke? He’s just some guy An’s been seeing for the past couple of months. I guess he’s supposed to be super smart or something, but I dunno,” she sighed, tilting her head back to stare at the ceiling. ”The best answer I’ve got is what she listed before she went out the door. I honestly don’t get her taste in men. She always goes after the same type. I think her main thing is stability or something, but she’s always so surprised when they end up freaking out and leaving her as soon as she reveals our family’s little ‘gift’. You’d think she would have learned by now...”
Suddenly, a thought came to mind. Athren hadn’t been staying with them for very long, so he didn’t know about what happened when Anzu got broken up with. She was kind of tempted to keep that a surprise until it actually happened, but that seemed pretty mean. Her sister NEVER took break-ups well. ”I should probably warn ya about this sooner rather than later. When An finally tells Ryosuke about our pyrokinesis and he ends up pissing himself before he drops her like a bad habit, she’s probably gonna get absolutely wasted and spend all night in here blubbering about it. I’d recommend finding something to occupy yourself elsewhere that night. You’re not going to be getting any sleep on the couch when that happens. She's kind of a loud drunk.”

The reason Athren wasn't the lecturing type was quite simple, it was because he didn't care what other people did at all. If she wanted to spent six days sleeping it wouldn't bother him none though he would be more than likely to comment on it just to see if he could get a rise out of her. It wasn't just her that he would have been like this with, it would simply be everyone. " Look at the bright side. At least you can still hide your abilities to an extent. Try walking around with a tail daily. The looks I get are quite odd. Wouldn't mind punching ninety percent of the people I encounter in the face for being so damn judgemental because of a damn tail." Athren smirked before he let out another little comment. " They look now, but I'd love too see their reaction when and if I ever look at the full moon. They'd really stare then." Though it would be a VERY bad situation it would probably amuse Athren if he could take over the primitive mind long enough to actually remember what he's seeing.
Next, Kaiyo began to dig into Anzu's love life and tell Athren about the current guy that she was seeing. Though he did sound like a completely clown if that's what made Anzu happy that really would be all that mattered regardless of how weak the man was. " Well what does she expect them to do? I mean really people tend to fear what they don't understand. The only way she's going to find somebody to accept her ability is by looking around and trying again. So she doesn't really have a choice unless she wants to be alone forever."
Athren then thought about Kaiyo's warning. He knew a thing or two about loud and rowdy drunk people. Athren highly doubted that she could compare to the mug throwing, mug shattered, loud mouth Saiyan brawlers that Athren had to put up with back home. He assumed she wouldn't throw mugs or try to start fights. So it shouldn't be that hard to deal with.
" I'm not worried about it. You don't know what a crowd of drunk saiyans is like. I'm sure she couldn't compare to those." Athren then walked over to the couch and plopped down to take a seat on the couch. Once sitting his gaze went to Kaiyo. He decided to dig into her personal life a little bit. She had him curious. If this backfired it wouldn't be that big of a deal. If Athren didn't ask he wouldn't be able to get to know her.
" What about you? What's your taste in men like, I figured you'd have some kind of boy toy lingering around so I could find out but I haven't seen any yet. So, where is your guy? Or do you not have one or something?" At this point in time Athren would pay very close attention to her facial expression and her body language. He was usually good at reading those because those two features could help predict an opponents actions in a fight. Here they would come in handy to how much this topic bugged her. He really don't want to upset her but he did want to get to know her on a little bit more of a personal level. What she didn't know is that she had Athrens attention at this point and he wanted to learn as much as she was willing to tell, without messing it all up of course.
Resting his arm now on the arm rest, Athren awaited her answer patiently. Hopefully this wouldn't blow up in his face and hopefully his hair would stay in its current state as well, a long with the rest of his figure.

”I get what you’re saying and all; there’s always gonna be a good chance of that no matter who she tries to hook up with. She always seems to go for the extra pathetic ones though. They’re never the types who would ever be okay with the kind of weird family we are. The least she could do is try to go for someone even a little bit... adventurous I guess?” Kaiyo sighed. She wondered if their mom had ever given Anzu any advice on the subject, or whether she would agree or disagree with how she was currently approaching at. After all, she would have known about how to go about the whole dating thing with their abilities better than either of them.
”Haha, you might have a point. It doesn’t make her any less obnoxious though, especially since she always seems to drink her problems away in one of the spots we’re sitting in.” Thinking back a bit, Brahma and the two assholes that accompanied him had been pretty obnoxious, and as far as she knew they had been sober when they had fought. Trying to imagine a room full of them all boozed up didn’t sound appealing at all.
Kaiyo felt herself tense up when Athren asked about her preferences as far as the opposite sex went, including whether or not she was seeing anyone. ”Well, that’s...” she mumbled, dropping her gaze to the floor and falling silent. It had brought up a memory of her’s she wasn’t a fan of recalling. There used to be a guy like that. Itsuki was his name, and they had started dating when Kaiyo had first started high school. He was nice; she liked him a lot at the time. He even tried to reassure her that they could still make it work when her pyrokinesis first manifested itself within her. Unfortunately, that attitude hadn’t lasted long. After a few weeks he refused to return any of her calls and avoided her like the plague at school. Itsuki was scared of her. It still stung a bit to think about.
The teenager stopped her train of thought when she realized that she had been quiet for last fifteen seconds or so, completely leaving Athren hanging. ”Nah, not even close. It’s been three years since I tried anything like that, and even then it wasn’t serious. I’ve got too much to worry about with trying to keep my pyrokinesis in check to even think about something like that nowadays,” she grumbled, casually waving off the question. Shit, now she was feeling kind of depressed. Kaiyo didn’t like the feeling, especially considering the subject that had brought it about.
She stood up and stretched her arms over her head, trying to get her blood flowing. Kaiyo spotted the calendar hanging on the wall from the corner of her eye. Now that she thought about it, what exactly was Athren’s deal about looking at the full moon anyway? When Anzu had first offered to share their apartment with him, she seemed to know what he was talking about when he had asked her to mark the nights on the calendar when the moon would be full. Kaiyo hadn’t been able to get any information out of her sister about it though.
”Now that you mention it, what’s up with you and the moon? I know you talked to An about and all, but I’m pretty sure she already knew about whatever it is that makes you so ‘scary’ when you look at it. Mind filling me in?”

Athren listened carefully as she first went on about her sister Anzu and her own personally boy problems. She did make sense when it came to Anzu's situation and it was quite clear but when it came to her own Athren could tell that she wasn't too impressed with the situation she was in. He figured that something that happened to Anzu what sounded to be often had happened to Kaiyo in the past. This theory would make sense considering the mindset of a human male. Athren figured he'd make a quick statement about it to try and cheer her up. Worst thing he could do was piss her off, right?
"Well, You've got time for men if you want. Just don't be so nervous about setting them a flame. I mean you've got the looks and you're a fighter. I really don't see why there aren't men lined up out the door. You'd make a fine companion to any saiyan." Of course he wasn't referring to himself. He was speaking of the whole saiyan race in general. She did have the heart of a fighter and she did seem quite stubborn. "You'll meet somebody someday that won't care about your powers." With that, he went silent for a matter of a few seconds. Now he had something else to answer. He wasn't really one to hide his abilities but like her and her pyro powers Athren didn't want to be judged negatively by her for this.
"So, you want to know about my issue with the moon. Well fine.. I'll tell you." Athren then got to his feet and walked over to the opened window. He gazed out it at anything he could and began to speak of it. He didn't want to see her reaction after he had told her. It was kind of a big deal and he could destroy countless cities and kill off thousands of humans if he did change. With his grey tail flowing softy behind him he began to speak again. " It all starts with the tail. It can be one of the biggest weak points for the saiyan or one of the biggest trump cards for them." Of course there was always the super saiyan which was believed to be the strongest, but Athren had never seen one and so far it was just saiyan folk lore spoke around the fireplace. So that didn't really count. "At an early age or if not trained. When a saiyan's tail gets pulled he loses all of his power and becomes completely helpless it the situation. That's the bad part of the tail. The good part is the Oozaru transformation, well. It's good if it's controlled anyways." he paused again as he tried to think of how to word it properly to make the most sense. He now crossed his arms as his gaze stayed out the window. It was obvious that he was slightly nervous about something. "It's a transformation of the great ape. Any saiyan with a tail that looks into the full moon will grow into a giant ape from anywhere between fifty to one hundred stories tall and his power will multiply tenfold. Most low level soldiers like myself can't control it but most elites can. When in that state I can't control anything nor do I remember what I do. I usually just wake up to destruction. Of course with the lack of the tail it can't be done, but it's the saiyan's biggest trump card. Hell, If I ever see the full moon say goodbye to west city."
With this he let out a big sigh. Now all he could do was wait for Kaiyo's reaction. He didn't expect it to be good but she might see him with a similar problem to her own. Sure, they both had completely different powers but neither one of them could fully control it. Sure from time to time Athren could probably overcome the might of the primitive Oozaru mind but it strained him mentally and wouldn't last more than a minute. Hell he was lucky if he could control it for even that long.

”That’s easy enough to say, but there’s only so many times you can light a guy on fire before they start doing whatever they can to avoid you. It’s bound to happen, nerves or not. An had her powers completely under control before mine even showed up, so she never had to worry about that part,” Kaiyo groaned, crossing her arms over her chest once she had finished stretching them. ”And again, I’ve already got too much on my mind as it is.” The teenager had completely missed the complements that Athren had tossed her way, whether they had been intentional or not. She was frustrated that they were still talking about this. It should have been a topic that had been dropped ten seconds before it was even brought up.
The teenager’s sour mood lightened up a little bit when Athren started to answer her question. Though, she noticed that quite the opposite seemed to happen to his own mood. He stood up from his seat and walked over to the window with his back facing her as he explained what happened to Saiyans when they looked at the full moon, and why it was so important that he avoid it. So, it was all because of that tail of theirs, huh? That explained why Anzu had left two remaining Saiyans tail-less before allowing them to leave that night. It would have been some seriously bad news if they had stuck around and stuck again on night of the full moon. The idea actually reminded her of those old timey giant monster flicks with the rubber suits and the bad special effects.
”So that’s why you had An mark the calendar for you? Makes sense to me. I always hated how ugly our window curtains were, but I guess they’ll be coming in handy here,” she remarked with a shrug of her shoulders. Perhaps her reaction might have been a lot calmer than most, but it’s not like the life she had led up to this point had been all that normal. Even before she first got her pyrokinesis, Kaiyo had been training to fight off and on since she was four years old. She used to hear all sorts of crazy stories about what her mom and sister had seen and fought when they went on their crazy little field trips. Besides, it’s not like she had seen Anzu freak out over it; she knew what she was doing. She also knew that it wouldn’t have be anything tame with how hush-hush they had kept it until now.
Kaiyo tapped her foot lightly as her eyes casually shifted around the apartment, trying to think of a new conversation topic since Athren didn’t seem all that thrilled about their current one. She wasn’t exactly sure what she was going to do for the rest of her day. The only solid plan the younger of the Habane sisters had was her usual nightly stroll, but it was barely even afternoon. She had to do something to pass the time between now and then.
It was a pretty nice day out. Kaiyo supposed she could always head up to the roof and sunbathe for a little while. It’s not like she got any Vitamin D from wandering around at night. The teenager didn’t feel like sitting still for that long. Not right now, at least. Hearing Athren’s plans hadn’t exactly given her any ideas either. ”C’mon though, you can’t seriously just spend all day every day training, right? You don’t have any hobbies?”

Ah, it felt so nice to be out of that blasted Desert. The heat hadn't been all that great, and Toma wanted to explore this world. He had flown off after meeting the Namekian, promising that they would meet again, soon. He wanted to learn things about this world before helping the Namekian out. He had to find out what he was, and what he could do. He flew over West City quite quickly, before he felt something. Two strong power levels. They were considerably stronger than he was, but that excited him! He hoped they were friendly. Judging from the fact that they didn't seem to be attacking, he assumed they were. Perhaps he could train with them! Oh that sounded like fun!
Toma couldn't help but get a bit smile on his face as he descended down to the apartment complex, happening upon the window that Athren was standing infront of. He looked at Athren, before noticing his tail. "So you're the two people I sensed, huh? Hi, I'm Toma! Hey! You have a tail just like me!" Toma said with suprise, as his own tail unfolded from his waist and moved to the side so Athren could get a good look at it. "I've never met another one of my kind before. Or at least I assume you're the same as me... we're called Saiyans or something like that, right?" Toma asked. He really wasn't too sure on how to go about this. He didn't even know these people or how own race all that well. But, he needed to learn. Might as well start now.

Finally she had changed the topic. The last one didn't go nearly as bad as he thought it would. It actually turned out quite alright considering the situation he had spoke about. She didn't freak out and nothing got burnt. So that must say something about it. She then brought up a very easy to answer question. Athren didn't even need to think about it to answer it. Finally he turned to her as his arms stayed crossed in front of his chest. Every word she had said before that question had pretty well disappeared from his mind.
" All day every day if possible yes. I love fighting and I want to be the best. I don't want help when I'm getting attacked by a number of opponents. I want to be able to handle my problems myself and rise to be the most powerful saiyan to have ever lived." His reasons were simple and his answer was solid. It may have sounded selfish but it wasn't, there was much more too it. "Plus, There is beings out there who want nothing but suffering and pain. Ones that could destroy this planet using a little bit of their power. If and when a threat like that ever comes here. I want to face it head on and win." His eyes would have attempted to lock onto hers at this point. " It is my hobby. I love receiving every hit to landing every hit. I love the thrill of a fight and the struggle to continue. It thrills me to fight people better and I need to surpass every single one of them. It's more than a hobby though. It's a passion and an obsession. I was born for it." That final statement was true. Saiyan's were indeed a warrior race built off of combat and that was their passion.
He then turned back to the window and glared out how he was. " That answer yo--" Just then in that moment he got interrupted by a figure floating just on the other side of the opened window. What he saw came off as a slight surprise. This man had a tail just like him but he followed his opening sentence with a stupid question. This saiyan didn't know what he was. Athren answered rudely. He was interrupting his time with Kaiyo and it wasn't the politest way to do it.
"You appear to be a saiyan you idiot, How don't you know what you are?!. What the hell are you doing here and what the hell do you want?!" Athren's voice raised a little bit here. He was a little bit annoyed but at this point not ready to throw a fist or become hostile but if this clown of a saiyan decided to say the wrong words Athren wouldn't hesitate to pound his face in. " And don't you dare say we're the same. You don't know a thing about your own race and you don't even look like a warrior, You're a fool." Sure Athren was a little bit hot on the trigger but he didn't like being called the same as somebody or anything for that matter, he was his own man and completely one hundred percent unique. He was proud of who he was and he had worked hard to get there. He didn't want to be degraded by this clown. Even in the slightest manner.

Athren answered her question pretty enthusiastically. Again, Kaiyo didn’t think there was anything wrong with training, but it seemed like it would get incredibly dull after a while. She needed to have a couple of other interests to attend to in between training sessions or she would go insane. Still, if that’s all he wanted to do, then that’s all he wanted to do. It really wasn’t any of Kaiyo’s business. She would just have to find other ways of entertaining herself.
Suddenly, a man appeared just outside of the window and started speaking to the two of them. It wouldn’t have been all that strange if they hadn’t lived on the third floor of their apartment complex. Apparently he was a fighter that had sensed their energy signatures, and another Saiyan at that. He sounded like a clueless Saiyan, but still a Saiyan. Athren sounded ticked off at his lack of knowledge regarding their race, especially at the comment on how they were alike. Either way, if he just kept hovering like that out there it would start attracting unwanted attention from the people going about their day below. That was something Kaiyo didn’t feel like dealing with that afternoon.
”Hey... You said your name was Toma? Well, could you stop hovering out there like that? You’re gonna cause a scene,” the teenager commented, looking at him from over Athren’s shoulder. The people of West Capitol had definitely seen stranger things happening in that city before, but that wasn’t going to stop them from gawking. The younger of the Habane sisters didn’t need a crowd forming on the sidewalk below because they were fascinated by the guy floating right outside of her living room window. She motioned to Athren to step back a little bit to give him some room to climb through, and then waved him inside. Hopefully Anzu wouldn’t be pissed off that she had invited another Saiyan into the apartment that they shared. Then again, Kaiyo honestly didn’t care what her sister thought of it. It’s not like she was there...

"I don't know what I am because I wasn't raised on whatever planet we're from. I landed on a planet as a baby and was raised by the inhabitants there. Eventually the planets inhabitants got destroyed so I came here hoping to find someone that could teach me about who we are. You just happen to be the first Saiyan that I ran into." Toma spoke, as he then looked to Kaiyo, who mentioned something about causing a scene. Toma turned his head to look around, then rubbed the back of his head and laughed nervously. "Hehah.... I guess you're right." He spoke, as he looked back to Kaiyo, before moving over and landing inside the apartment, assuming Athren moved.
"Sorry for poping in like this, I just really need to find out about where I'm from and what I am, ya' know? I can leave as soon as I get some awnsers. I don't want to be too much trouble."

If Kaiyo was looking for ways to entertain herself and Athren knew, he would have actually cut into his training time to hang out with her. Anzu did suggest that Athren talk to her so that would be an easy open door to do so. Thats assuming she'd ever ask him to do anything. Of course that probably wouldn't happen anytime soon. Even if he wished it would. Right now though that really wasn't the worry. The worry at the moment was this fool of a saiyan that had just entered the apartment he was staying in. Athren didn't want to let him, but he did move back under Kaiyo's orders. It wasn't his place to kick this fool out of so he'd have to bite his tongue a little bit, just a LITTLE bit though.
His eyes staying on Toma Athren shook his head lightly, it was obvious that he was a little bit annoyed. "So Kaiyo. You invite every single guy that floats up to your window in? Or is this clown just an exception?" His tone would be a firm one and it would show his negative feelings towards this. He didn't like the idea at all, especially since this saiyan didn't know a damn thing about his very own race and some of his words already had rubbed Athren the wrong way. If Kaiyo had listened closely to Athren's words there might have been a slight tone of jealousy. Though it didn't show on his face. If one were to look at Athren, his eyes would be locked on Toma and his face would be quite blank. He was ready to throw a fist if need be and he really hope it came to that.
Almost instantly After his words to Kaiyo he spoke to the Toma saiyan again. His tone completely rude and disgusted in this saiyan. "It's called Planet Vegeta. That's where you're from and yes. You appear to be a saiyan." Athren then paused for a moment, his eyes still locked onto Toma. He then quickly blurted out of his place. "Now that you've got your answers, You know where the damn window is." It wasn't his place to say that and he really didn't think of the reaction he'd get from Kaiyo for saying all this, but he truly didn't care. This situation wasn't one for the liking of Athren.

The Saiyan that was staying with the Habane sisters didn’t seem happen with her decision to let the new guy in through the window at all. “If he stayed out there he would have drawn an even bigger crowd. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I don’t need any more unwanted attention than I already get,” Kaiyo grumbled as she crossed her hands over her chest, throwing Athren an annoyed look. The last thing she wanted was for some random shmuck to come pounding on the door because they were curious about the floating dude that was outside of their window.
Kaiyo tilted her head to the side as she listened to the two of them talk. So, the new guy was sent out into space as a baby? She was curious as to why anyone would ever do that, but he obviously wouldn’t know why even if she felt like asking. Was it a Saiyan thing or had Toma’s parents just been a little weird? She thought about asking Athren since he would be the expert on the subject, but figured she would let Toma do the asking if he felt like he needed more answers. Though, Athren didn’t seem too happy to be talking to the guy at all.
As she was trying to figure out what to do about Toma, she spotted a quick flash out of the corner of her eye. The very bottom of the curtains on the left side of the open window had ignited! “Augh! Come on!” the teenager growled as she grabbed one of the several fire extinguishers at her feet and proceeded to douse the flames with the grey foam that it held within. Thankfully it wasn’t accompanied by the shrill beeping of a smoke detector; she and Anzu had disabled those almost immediately after they had first moved in.
Kaiyo sighed and dropped the bright red canister back at her feet. The curtains had only been burning for a second or two, but it had still been enough to leave the bottom edge with a noticeable black char to it. Oh well, at least it hadn’t been one of the two guys in the living room that had caught fire. The curtains didn’t look out of place when compared to the rest of the furniture in the apartment either.
With a sigh, the teenager plopped back down in the chair she had been sitting in a few minutes ago and crossed her legs. She rested her chin in the palm of her hand and looked up at the both of them, irritated by the fact that her pyrokinesis had decided to go off like that. “By the way, the name’s Kaiyo,” she grumbled quietly, figuring that she might as well give him her name since he was standing in her house.

"Planet Vegeta, huh? That's an odd name for a planet..." Toma spoke as he looked up at the ceiling of building, a hand brought up to his chin, lost in thought. Perhaps visiting this "Planet Vegeta" would be the best thing. He was sure there would be records of his birth there somewhere, and if it was a planet full of Saiyans, he'd fit right in. At least from apperances, anyways. He just hoped that most Saiyans weren't grumpy like Athren. Though, based on what he had heard about people having grudges against Saiyans from the little namekian boy he had run into, he doubted that would be the case.
That was when Toma saw the ceiling light up due to the curtain catching on fire, and he jumped a bit when he saw it suddenly in flames. "Aah! Does stuff on this planet just burst into flames randomly?!" Toma shouted out, in a suprised tone, but he recomposed himself shortly after. He had just been caught off-guard, is all. Nothing too bad... he hoped. He let out a sigh when Kaiyo then put out the flames. "Oooh, so those red cans are fire extinguishers. I was wondering what they were. They look different than where I'm from." This only helped to reaffirm Toma's belief that stuff on this planet just randomly caught fire, hence why the young lady who owned this place had so many. And that would also explain the burn marks. Though, he was probably wrong, he just had an over-active imagination sometimes.
The young lady infront of him told her his name, and Toma smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Kaiyo. Thank you for letting me into your home, by the way."

Athren didn't really have an argument for Kaiyo's statement and reasoning as to why she had invited the random saiyan inside. It would have brought some unwanted attention to the building but Athren really didn't see how somebody from the streets below could navigate all the way through their apartment complex to the exact door. It just didn't seem likely. Regardless of that though Athren really didn't approve of this saiyan coming into his current home and the worst part was that he didn't really have a choice. Just then Athren's attention went from the saiyan Toma to the curtain that had been set aflame. He knew right away what caused it and it really didn't make him move much. He simply turned his head and arched a brow at the girl he had been living with.
Athren had now looked back to Toma as he mumbled about fire extinguishers. He didn't seem like any ordinary saiyan that Athren had met but then again he had a reason. He didn't grow up with his own race and must have adapted to the attitude that the race he grew up with had.
Finally he had spoken to Kaiyo and was grateful for being let in. This really didn't go over with Athren too well though he really couldn't do anything about it. He wasn't fond of how nice this guy was or how he was so damn polite to Kaiyo. Something about it just made Athren feel uneasy. Regardless of how Athren was feeling his body language wouldn't have really said much. His face would have it's neutral looking style as he wasn't exactly happy nor upset. He looked blank. "Hmph." Mumbling a noise Athren walked away as his arms were crossed in front of his chest. He went over to the kitchen and out of sight, though if they talked loud enough he would more than likely be able to hear what they were saying. Athren then placed both his hands on the edge of the counter about four feet apart and slid his feet back. He then did a work out similar to a push up but he was standing on his feet and leaning himself forward and pushing himself up as needed. Maybe this would keep him cool. Hopefully anyway.
