”Mountain near the desert...“ Kaiyo murmured to herself, trying to remember if a place like that rang a bell in her head. ”I dunno where you landed, but we got two deserts here on Earth. First there’s the Fortuneteller’s Desert, which isn’t too far to the East from here. Then there’s the Diablo Desert, which is pretty far to the Southeast.“ While she knew that much, she couldn’t really remember if there were any mountains near either of them. The teenager really should have paid more attention in her geography class back in high school. Well, at least she had some info to give on the subject.
Listening to Athren’s overconfidence as he talked served to draw a chuckle out of the redhead. How many times had Anzu gotten on her case whenever she talked like that? Of course, she never had all that much room for overconfidence when the only opponent she pretty much ever faced had not only been training longer, but had a much firmer grasp on her pyrokinesis than she did...
Athren’s reaction to her words of caution through her for a bit of a loop. ”Huh?“ Kaiyo grumbled, returning the arched brow. ”Uh... Should I not be?“ So what if she was? Why was that even worth pointing out in the first place? ”You’re the only one I’ve got to talk to around here aside from Anzu, and you’re about to go chasing after some whack job who hunting Saiyans for some reason. What, is that weird where you’re from?“
With that, Kaiyo hopped out of her chair and started stretching out her limbs. All of this sitting around and talking was starting to make her anxious. She then tossed a look back over to Toma, curious as to what he thought about all of this. ”What about you Toma? Were you gonna go after this guy too, or were you gonna go back to finding that lookout you were talking about?“ she asked.

"I'm not sure what I'll do." Toma spoke, shrugging his shoulders as he sighed some. "I probably will go find the lookout, maybe... but I need to make sure my friend Milac is OK. I told him I'd go find him sometime too... So many options..." Toma seemed to be talking to himself some for the last part of his sentence, as he looked up at the ceiling rather than at Kaiyo.
And with that, he looked over at Athren, to see what Athren's responce to the situation would be. He wasn't sure at all if Athren was serious about going to fight this man. He hoped he wasn't. After all, even Toma wouldn't wish death upon anyone for no reason.

Hearing Kaiyo's words Athren shrugged his shoulders lightly. Though it may have not been worth bringing it up to her to him it was just weird. That was the first time anyone has ever actually given a damn if Athren had returned or not. He then began to walk over to the window. "Well Kaiyo. In the case that you're the first person to ever show the slightest bit of concern over my well being. I guess you could say it's somewhat weird where I'm from. " Answering her the easiest way he could Athren had now stopped in front of the window.
"As for you saiyan. When we meet again you can teach me that sensing thing you had mentioned. Sounds like it could be quite useful. Anyhow. I'll see you two around." With that, Athren leaped out the window and blasted off into the sky.

Toma looked lost as he talked while staring up at the ceiling. Kaiyo shook her head. ”That part’s up to you,” she commented with a shrug of her shoulders. ”I’ll say this though. If all you do is sit around thinkin’ about it, you’re doing nothing. Just pick one and go for it if you really don’t know, even if you have to flip a coin.” He might have been talking to her; he might not have been. Either way, people who were all talk and no action bugged her. It was one thing to not have any clue where to go next, but the guy had two perfectly good options sitting in front of him. He was just being indecisive.
The teenager turned to look at Athren at the same time Toma did. Just like his previous question, what he said to her next wasn’t something she had been expecting. Huh... Kaiyo’s question had been a rhetorical one. Even if she had been looking for an answer, she didn’t think it would have been ‘yes’. ”Is that so...” was all she was able to mumble as she looked at him blankly. Damn. Vegeta may have been the type of place where nobody would have bat an eye at her pyrokinesis, but that was pretty cold. As annoying as Kaiyo thought the rest of her family was, she at least they cared for her wellbeing.
Athren made a quick comment to Toma about the technique he used to sniff them out before disappearing out the window. What was it with Saiyans and their aversion to doors?

"It'd probably be best if I went to look for that lookout then, first." Toma spoke, as he stretched his back. Athren spoke about Toma teaching him Ki Sensing, but Toma thought he might not do it. Not with Athren being such a grumpy-pants about everything. A man like that was no friend of Tomas. At least night right now.
Toma walked over to the window after Athren and he turned back to Kaiyo, giving her a warm smile. "Hey, if I find the Lookout, I'll be sure to come back and give you an update, alright? Cya later!" Toma spoke as he jumped out the window, flying off into the sky and heading west and high up into the sky.

Kaiyo let out a sigh as she glanced around the now empty living room. That had been an odd start to the day to say the least. The redhead closed the window; the stench of her sister’s perfume had dissipated a while ago. Her life seemed to be taking a turn for the bizarre lately. One day she’s going through life like any other human aside from her fighting capabilities and her tendency to accidentally light things on fire. The next, she’s suddenly meeting up with all of these Saiyans. Toma was the fifth one in that short period of time. It wasn’t an unwelcome change; far from it, actually. It was a whole hell of a lot better than having the only thing to break the monotony be finding a new job that she would be fired from in a matter of days thanks to her unstable powers. Her life was actually starting to gradually sound more like the stories she was told growing up about the adventures that Anzu and Mom had gone on while her sister was still in training. Kaiyo had to admit she had always been a little jealous of those when she was a kid, wanting to go with them but having no pyrokinesis that needed to be trained. By the time it had actually shown up, her situation had been way different than Anzu’s and those kinds of adventures had been out of the question. ”Whatever, I’m thinkin’ about this too much,” she grumbled to herself as she headed for the door. Maybe a walk out in the daylight would do her a bit of good. At the very least it might be nice to see what the different stores in the commercial district were like when they were actually open for once. ~~~Thread Complete~~~
