Things like this happen. I think it'd be better to look at the IC reason, as it will make sense for everything to flow through. It's a lucrative process of writing creation. Think about that, and see if Denim's take (the character's take that you're writing) makes sense.

Taiga has returned to life, and will be seeking answers. He is not aware that the Empire has splintered into separate factions, and will be very displeased. (Not that he has the power to oppose the faction leaders) He likely will not immediately be joining any of the three, but expect him to at least visit and question them.

I'd like to join the Arcosian Empire OOCly once my character is accepted, as Brenchians have always been loyal to the AE.
Although what I'm not sure on is this whole 'separate faction' thing, and what faction the Brenchians have sided with. I'd like Soyce to be loyal to whoever the Brenchians are loyal towards, though.
