Cheers exploded across the control room as the image of Vi-Poi’s brilliant blue Mega Negative Bomb enveloped the Queen and detonated with an electric azure flash. The image of the would-be conqueror diminished to her Saiyan form falling to the ground lead to many high-fives being exchanged across the office, those Blue Banner officers and technicians forgoing all military decorum and protocol.
The Saiyan military machine was swiftly collapsing as news of the monarch’s fall disseminated among the remaining invaders. It would be mop up duty for the Earthlings from here, chasing those retreating Saiyan offworld.
The blue-haired android let his energy reactions dwindle after hearing Zucceta’s words. The shock of his ki, the bloody and unsuccessful end of her conquest, something had triggered that wounded and beaten down kernel of goodwill in the Saiyan warrior. He didn’t truly understand what having and losing a child must be like, though he assumed it was something of the strong connection he had with Poi, and he couldn't imagine losing that part of him. He'd be a machine corpse without Poi. Her words made him flush green with a bow of his head. “He takes care of me now.” Vi-Poi said to Zucceta in acknowledgement of the living ghost in his circuits.
He dipped his head in agreement of Bing’s words as he floated nearby. “The Kami position is really rubbing off on you.” He said to the Snake Master jovially, thinking back on the battle.
Reikiko had cleansed herself of her darkness, as well. There’d been a path to choose, and love had lit the way. He’d been wrong all those months ago, for being disturbed and scornful of that illogical emotion. It fostered in all life a spirit of togetherness and hope that was difficult for any spats of selfishness to overcome for long.
“Make sure she gets offworld safely.” Vi-Poi said to Ochus. “All I want for terms in a peace accord is the first word of it. Peace, with assurances that if the Saiyan Empire returns, it will never be to conquer.”
Beams of sunlight broke through the sullen and smoky skies, alighting the broken and ruined civilization that spread out before them. It was surely an end of an age, Vi-Poi thought.
It slowly became apparent that none of the Earth warriors would be seeking to take advantage of Zucceta's weakened state, perhaps the Guardians presence and his choice to save her was enough to keep them at bay, with a title like 'Guardian of Earth' she had to imagine his opinions held at least some weight with these people and Habana was rather glad for it, as much as she was -willing- to fight any of these warriors there was very little chance of her successfully fending off many of them, especially the android who even after delivering such a powerful attack remained at a constant level of power beyond even Zucceta's. It was strange to know that these were warriors, both artificial, human, and otherwise genuinely this far beyond many super Saiyans, and even a few beyond a golden Oozaru a combination she had not even known to be possible.
As things began to cool down Zucceta began to speak up, Habana was curious why it was that the Queen was unwilling to simply return to the ship and receive the healing she rather badly needed but it seemed that she yet had a point to get across to the defenders of Earth. Habana remained ready to defend as Zucceta spoke, the way she spoke and what she was talking about held little likelihood that it would lead into something that would encourage any of the warriors to take a strike at her but Habana was less than inclined to start relaxing until they were finally on the ship.
Habana knew to an extent some of what Zucceta was explaining to the Earth's warriors, but as Zucceta began to explain how she had become 'Lady Death' Habana frowned as she heard what had happened to Zucceta, a loss like that certainly explained a lot of the attitude shift Zucceta had, her willingness to charge headling into the war with Earth with what seemed to be a lack of information on the quality of its warriors. She ended what had become something of a speech to the warriors with a strange comment directed at the android and surprsingly a comment directed at Habana herself. Habana half grinned under the praise, and turned to look at Zucceta only to find the queen promptly losing what ltitle grap on consciousness she had left swiftly taken by the Zoon medic Orchus, confident that Zucceta would be in good hands for the moment Habana turned back to the Guardian.
“I kinda wish I could stick around for a bit, get another chance to knock Maeve around and a proper shot at you. But I think it's best if I head home with Zucc, make sure she gets patched up right and see about some of the other problems we've got” Habana said her expression briefly darkening as she let her mind drift back to Natto and Tomo. They would still be somewhere on Earth right now most likely, she COULD go hunt them down herself. But she knew Natto's power, he was stronger than her still and she would need more time to catch up to him, throwing herself at them and dying needlessly would put Zucceta and the rest of the Empire in danger, there was no telling what they would do now that they had gone rogue. “Good luck with the cleanup, I -will- be making a trip back here some day for a proper fight.” Habana said giving the Guardian a grin before turning away from him and moving on into the ship.
