He was not born with a tail, but he grew a brown tail about two feet in length at the age of eight. Since then, he has had it. Pieter stands at six feet. His muscles are well developed and are not very thick. However, he has developed more than enough strength to wrestle many a creature in the wild. Pieter received the permanent tattoos that now adorn his face, to show to others what he had done in his young life. The red marks on his cheeks represent his successful hunting and wrestling of a grizzly saber tooth dinosaur. The blue on his face that are made like streams flowing down the sides of his face represents his success in slaying a dreaded serpent known to his people, in English, as the Man Eater. He wears a tribal bandana that represents his devotion to his tribe, the bandana having three feathers in the back. In his tribe, the feathers represent the number of years since Pieter had become a man. They have red tips with a dark brown drifting down into a white base. Pieter wears a seastone blue necklace that has a tooth at the end of it. The tooth comes from a creature his tribe and other tribes call Kinepikwa, a horned Serpent that is said to be the father of the Serpents in his area. It is said that a tooth from the great Serpent is either boundless good luck or a curse to the holder. However, it is neither and is simply a peacekeep from the leader of Pieter's tribe to him on his journey.
History:
Pieter and his family descend from a saiyan who, two hundred years in the past, encountered one tribesman and produced a child who, as time went on, would have their own child and so forth with humans and saiyans alike that each grew fond of. His grandfather was a fourth saiyan and three fourths human, his grandmother three fourths saiyan and one fourth human, causing his mother to balance out and become a half breed between saiyan and human. His father was a saiyan whom his mother rescued and united with under the tenets of her tribe. His father would become part of the tribe and they would give birth to three children.
The first was Waputhi Talon, a boy who would be known for being able to speak backwards and forwards, as well as being able to produce thunderous power. Waputhi tends to be more human, despite the majority of saiyan blood in him and his siblings. The second would be a girl named Bai (Pronounced Bay). Among the children, Bay is the most violent and saiyan like, which also caused her to be their father's favorite. Pieter Wolfbane, the middle child, had been born when wolves were prowling the area. When he was born, though, the wolves scattered in the night as he cried out at birth, giving him the title, 'Wolfbane,' at a young age.
As Pieter grew up, he and his siblings learned about the worlds and other civilizations, as well as the legends of their tribe. Pieter grew found of some of the tales concerning serpents, how they shaped the rivers with their immense power and helped build the world. At the same time, he also received the lessons from his father about general geography, in which he was given the scientific explanation of how the rivers were made. Even though agreeing on this, Pieter still had a fascination with them. In particular, the fascination was from the saiyan in him, in that he wished to fight a such powerful beasts and win.
Wolfbane had become a hunter at the age of 15 and, on these hunts, he also became a sportsman! However, he still had help from the others, as he was not a man as of yet If they came across a powerful creature, like a dinosaur or any sort of large animal, he would distract the creature and wrestle them into submission, while his fellow hunters either delivered the killing blow or restrained the creature. Some of these creatures would become the pets of the tribesman and served as physical evidence as Pieter's successes. Eventually, at the age of 19, Pieter would receive his first feather, signifying his entrance into adulthood.
In the following years, Pieter would fight a colossal carnivore that stalked the plains near the forest that proved troublesome for not only his tribe, but also some of the locals in a town that they traded with. His father would usually be there to get information on criminals, as well as books for his kids and the tribe to read. While they kept to the old ways, they had keep knowledge of the worlds. Pieter and his fellow hunters found the beast chasing a caravan. They moved fast, Pieter and the majority of the group attracting the attention of the beast while the others made sure the driver and his cargo got to town safely. Pieter proceeded to charge the beast head on, punching the beast in its belly. However, the hide was too hard, simply causing the creature to bite at him! He would dodge and proceed down to its tail, grabbing a hold of it as tightly as he could and making sure he kept to the ground, so it would not strike his tribesman with its thrashing. They would hurl spears into its neck, their weapons only bouncing of the creature's scales. Pieter was then forced to release the tail and charge the creature with a tomahawk fashioned Ki blade to rip open its hide and slay it himself. The creature went down and they brought the body back to their home, where they feasted on it and fashioned it into weapons, clothes, and tools! Pieter was awarded for this feet by receiving the first level marks of the master hunter by the tribe's leader, a man adorned with a head dress of feathers that spiked upwards.
The next year, after receiving the 2nd feather of his manhood, Pieter's people were then being threatened by a dreaded serpent they deemed Chi Ren, 'Man Eater.' His tribe was being threatened for tribute sacrifices for four months by means of demolishing all the tribes. These sacrifices had to come every two weeks by Pieter's tribe, who were thought to have disrespected the Great Serpent a year prior by slaying a 'dear friend,' a year prior. Pieter and his siblings all wished for their kin to live, so they decided to hunt the Chi Ren. They, as well as the tribesman themselves, knew better, so they allowed the siblings to engage the beast. They proceeded to to a waterfall where the creature demanded the sacrifices. It met them, believing that they had fallen for the rouse, but to its dismay, the siblings attacked it. Waputhi confused the serpent with powerful waves of ki that sounded like thunder, as Bei and Pieter smashed the beast with fist, rock, and ki. The serpent was defeated quickly, its carcass being brought to the tribe, to represent that the hunt had been a success and they would be at peace. All the siblings were rewarded with tattoos symbolizing the purity of streams, showing that even powerful and evil serpents would not corrupt their tribe. Pieter, in particular, felt great pleasure in this victory, as well as dismay in it.
Pieter would receive his third feather of his manhood, though he had not seemed happy. The serpent he and his siblings had fought proved to be a weak beast. From the legend he had heard when he was younger, Serpents were mighty beings, capable of carving out the land itself to make mighty rivers! He addressed this to his father, to which Pota told him that he had been experiencing the saiyan's lust for a life-threatening battle. His whole family, even his grandfather, had wanted to participate in a good fight. Pieter's father had been itching for a really good brawl for a very long time, but he had to make time for Pieter and his siblings, as well as the tribe. He told Pieter that he should ask the tribe leader tomorrow on what he should do, as he was the wisest man that Pieter had known, aside from Pieter's grandfather.
Wolfbane proceeded to do this and asked the tribal leader about it. He told Pieter that this was to become a period where Pieter would needed to understand whom he was fully, that he would have to embark on a journey. The tribal leader then proceeded to give Pieter a necklace with a tooth on the end of it. He told Pieter that this was a tooth of the Great Serpent itself and would serve him as a reminder of where he came from. After that, Pieter collected supplies and clothes, as well as giving some heartfelt farewells to his tribe before going on a journey of self discovery.
