"What good would it do? I'd at least be doing something rather than sit and watch my brother be maimed. I cannot tell you more than I've already confided about the Empire's status, as I would likely get punished by my son and brother being killed by the emperor." A quiet sigh came from the general, who turned her head away. "I wish Wyntre would return.. She was a better ruler than Abzerute would ever be. Truth be told, I grew up serving her. But with this more militarist approach, I can't help but feel like I'm on a leash."
Running her hand over the dome on her head, the black and white lizard briefly closed her eyes. "Wherever Wyntre is, I want her to come back. If I had to fight the queen of the Solar Empire to return her to her throne, I would. I don't feel as much loyalty as I should, but I can't leave. I don't want my son and brother to be hurt, I'll do anything to prevent that from happening.." Taking a brief look at the green sky, a shake of her head would occur before she gazed at him once more.
"I just... I want to be free to protect my son and brother. They are all I have left. Namek is a quiet, peaceful place, but should I really be serving someone I have little faith to?" Having a bit of self doubt, it would be quite obvious all she wanted to do was be on Earth with her loved ones. However, the emperor was preventing this and keeping the mother of three on a leash; something she didn't like but could do nothing about.
Riku understood Polara a bit better after she stated her fear of having her brother and son killed by the empire. "Have you...seen or experienced the strength of those on Earth? Your son, Defrosch...is one of the more powerful beings on the planet...would your emperor really be able to defeat him? Truth be told, I doubt your emperor and some of your soldiers would be able to defeat the Z-Fighters. Hell, there are those on Earth who aren't Z-Fighters and may be able to best a good amount of the Z-Fighters."
Polara then spoke of the former Queen, Wyntre. The name rung a bell and after a few moments, he remembered that Wyntre had been eliminated during the Saiyan's invasion of Arcose. Riku truly believed that opposing Abzerute and escaping to Earth would be much better, seeing as how they would all be together again. "Namek may seem quiet and peaceful, but things have happened here and there. Once more outsiders begin to learn of the dragon balls, it will become harder and harder to keep the planet safe. I recommend fleeing and staying with Defrosch. Abzerute shouldn't be so Foolish to leave his throne room, simply to track down one Arcosian, especially not one who escaped to Earth."
The saiyan sat down and placed his staff over his lap and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and then opened them. "You should seek shelter on Earth, Polara. The dragon balls will take a while to be made, and in that time I don't know what will happen. All I can do really is tell you to go to the Z-Fighters and talk to the one known as Etoru. He's a child, yes, but he is far stronger than me, and we are well connected. They will most definitely give you a place in their lookout, or offer you their protection."

Polara looked at Riku, sitting down in turn shortly after he did. He seemed to understand her, to which she felt some relief of actually being able to speak to SOMEONE about it. He recommended fleeing to Earth to seek refuge with her son. It gave her some nervous hope to hear that there was a possibility of giving their protection, but she realized something and shook her head. "We are allied with Earth; Abzerute could easily track me down if he needed due to our alliance with the planet."
Her tone had a bit of fear in it, looking down at her legs. "My family will be in danger if he attacks us; why would the Z Fighters help us other than the fact my son is one of their members? If you say some of the ZFighters are as strong as they are, maybe I would have a chance to escape.. But when Wyntre returns, she'll be calling for me. It's difficult; all I want to be is with my son and brother. This keeps a wall between us, and if the Empire and the Z Fighters ever came to blows, what would I do? I could never hurt my son. The Emperor has threatened to do it before."
Riku understood well how Polara was feeling, but what surprised him was that Earth and the Arcosian Empire were allies. This was something he hadn't really learned of, and now it seemed to make more sense. They needed allies, and Earth was a place where strong warriors who weren't trying to destroy them resided. "Why, you ask? I have seen first hand your determination to protect your loved ones, and I would go far enough to say that your place is beside them, not a ruler you do not hold faith in. When Wyntre returns, who knows how things will go? If the empire has changed as you say it has, will the position for ruler not be challenged when Wyntre comes back?"
Riku gazed at Polara, his black pupils analyzing her. Her situation was difficult, but he believed he knew where Polara belonged, and this wasn't it. The saiyan stood, leaning on his staff even though he didn't need it. "I insist you go to Earth. If the empire comes to blows with Earth... you choose those that you have vowed to protect. Think about those that have mattered more to you, whether you have vowed to the Empire or to another legion. You have the power to choose what's right and what's wrong. I've learned this much: in times where things seem impossible to decipher, or when your decisions will decide what road you will go down, look inside of yourself. Your thoughts and your heart will become one and your choice will be made clear."
The saiyan released the remaining amount of energy he had surpressed and allowed Polara to see his strength at full in his normal form. "I cannot tell you what you must do, Polara. I can only suggest that you create this distance between you and the empire until Wyntre returns. You served under her, and it is only right you continue to serve under her if it is what you see fit. Wyntre...at least from what I have heard, wouldn't attack Earth. When she returns, that will be the time for you to return. You can aid her in her struggle against Abzerute, and together you can bring him down. Until then, your best option would be to flee and stay on Earth and continue to grow."

Polara looked at Riku, listening to what he had to say. Hehad a very good point; for a Saiyan he was pretty wise. His suppression dissipated; and to her felt far stronger than she at the moment by about fourfold. Standing up, she gave a quiet nod and looked towards a main island. "Thank you. I hear your words and understand your point; I will put distance between myself and the Empire until Wyntre has returned to us."
With that, she'd slowly hover a bit off the ground and give a respected bow. "You're wise, for a Saiyan. Until next time, maybe I'll return to visit you and the Namekians." With that, she'd hover to her ship and enter it, punching in Earth's coordinates swiftly if he allowed her to leave. Autopilot setting for Earth, the general would go to walk down the hall and relax on a bed. Why? She didn't know. But soon she'd see her son and her brother again.
