The Caste leader walked on an isolated island off on the Ajissa lands. His robe had been left behind in the village with the elders and the guards. He held his staff in his right hand and looked up at the green sky. "What shall become of me here? I don't know if I'm truly one to be residing on this planet, and I definitely cannot stay here for all of my life. Maybe I simply need a few days off of the world here and there...but then who would stay and protect the villagers..?"
The wind blew softly, ruffling the saiyan's hair. He did not speak aloud, and his power was surpressed to around a mere twenty thousand in order to keep from bringing attention to himself. The warrior stopped in the midst of his walk and knelt down to feel the soil. It was smooth, a pure blue grass that made the world feel...vibrant and alive. Staring into the soil, his thoughts shifted to Earth and the people he had left behind. To anyone that had noticed him on the island, he would look like a statue.

Polara's eyes were closed and she wasn't too far away from Riku, legs crossed in front of her and arms folded. The Arcosian had her ki sense spread out, detecting Riku rather quickly. Keeping silent, one of the bird species of Namek had landed on one of her horns and began to sing; something the general welcomed amongst the semi-annoying silence. He didn't seem like a threat, and as such the warrior left the Saiyan alone.
I hope Defrosch isn't up to anything stupid in my absence.. He's still young, he's got a good head, I know I probably shouldn't be so protective but I miss him the more I am stuck on this pathetic mudball. Why the hell is the grass blue, the sky and water green, and the people have their own language? How long does it take him to make the damn balls so I can go back to Earth and see my son and brother?
The saiyan snapped out of his small trance rather quickly, and his scouter beeped rapidly. He turned his head to the direction of the power level and raised an eyebrow. He analyzed it for a moment, then removed the device from his eye. "Why the bloody hell do I still use this anyway...I should really have learned how to sense power levels by now. No matter, that can wait. For now, I'd like to investigate this source. It appears to be alone, whatever the specimen is that is giving off this power is, but....maybe I should try prying into their mind for a- no, that would be idiotic. The last time I did that, I did not enjoy it."
Floating high, Riku looked around to spot the power, and was surprised to see a white and blue figure nearby. It seemed to be in a thinking state, and from the looks of it, it certainly wasn't human, saiyan or Namekian. The Caste leader floated towards the figure slowly, stopping about a yard or two overhead. He analyzed the figure and instantly came to the conclusion that he was looking at an Arcosian. Something in him tensed, most likely his last real confrontation with an Arcosian. "Fucking Polar... I'm gonna get his arse one day."
Projecting his voice, Riku began to ask the Arcosian what they were doing on Namek, and who they were exactly. "Pardon me, but who might you be? There aren't really any Arcosians on this planet...not as far as I've seen, so seeing you makes me wonder why you would come here."

Polara had her eyes closed still, deeming Riku to be no threat despite how much closer he got. The Saiyan proceeded to speak to her, to which cyan eyes were revealed as the lids covering them opened. "My name is Polara Thermia. As for why I am here, I am at no liberty to tell you this." A soft sigh would come from the female, as the black and white lizard stood up and turned her head to the sky.
"Mind coming down here? I won't kill you." The last part was spoken with some amusement, but an undertone of seriousness. She seemed to have a personality similar, along with a color scheme somewhat similar, to Polar himself at first glance. Polar and Polara were brother / sister respectively, but by Riku's ki she knew he was saiyan despite his seemingly nonexistent tail. Hybrid, maybe? Or did he get it chopped off..
Riku descended, feet touching the ground this time a bit closer to the Arcosian than before. As he got increasingly closer, the resemblance between Polara and Polar was too much for Riku to ignore. The color scheme, the posture, even the height of the two were similar. The saiyan's face showed a bit of tension as he folded his arms. The name Polara threw the Caste leader off even more than before. The names were extremely similar. His suspicion grew, and for a moment he thought about forgetting the possibility of them being related, but he simply could not release the feeling.
"Hello, Polara. I am Riku, a saiyan, if it wasn't clear...well, I have no tail so maybe that wasn't as clear. As to your response, I believe it is my right to ask what an outsider would be doing on the planet I protect. My Caste cannot be exposed to anymore threats. Do not take this negatively, it is for the safety of the Namekians and the planet."
Riku took a deep breath, then went ahead with clearing his suspicion. "Polara, do you happen to be related to someone? I believe I've seen...someone who looks relatively similar to you...but he wasn't you, for I would never forget the presence of that Arcosian."

Polara watched as Riku descended, arms folding over her chest in a calm manner. He introduced himself as a Saiyan by the name of Riku, to which it made her head tilt ever so slightly. He was protecting the planet, and was trying to nose in on what she was doing. It caused her eyes to narrow briefly, before he spoke of if she was related to someone; to which she responded calmly and clearly. "Yes. I have a brother, a husband, and three sons. Why? Are you talking about my brother Polar, by chance?"
A deep sigh would come from the female, who's tail twitched slowly. "I am not at liberty to say. I can assure you I mean no harm to the Namekians here, but my purpose of being on this world, despite wanting to leave, lays with orders from the Arcosian Empire." And with that, she was faintly ticked by the sheer nosiness, something the woman didn't exactly appreciate to begin with.
Riku cursed himself in his head for being right about this. "Polar, the Arcosian that resides on Earth and is or was among the ranks of the Blue Banner Army? The same Polar who fought during the invasion of the saiyans?" Riku's eagerness to confirm that this was the same Polar he had fought that day was shocking even to himself. He had vowed to return and fight Polar, but this time as a real fight with no limits. The day hadn't arrived, and he believed it would never come. He took a shaky breath and steadied himself.
"The Arcosian Empire, hm? As they have no ties here, I would have to say that whatever they need can be provided by someone in a position of authority, and it seems that the only people of authority are me and the new guru. I believe you won't harm the Namekians, for if you tried, I would need to put an end to you, which is something I do not wish to do if avoidable. Again, I am simply doing my duty as leader of the Warrior caste."

Polara gave a quick, quiet nod to his questions about Polar, and he pushed her a bit further after this about her business here. "I already met and informed the guru of my duties here, and I wouldn't want to harm the Namekians. I don't harm unless they in turn try to harm my family or me. I figure you will probably track the guru down for the answer, so to avoid his annoyance I tell you once. I am here for the Dragon Balls once they are created, in order to revive the home planet ravaged by the Saiyans."
Her eyes were calm and expressionless, before her tone got quite blunt. "And do not tell a soul. I had no intention of coming here to begin with, but if I leave I fear the Emperor will come after my family. I miss them greatly, for all I know after years of searching two of my sons are dead and so is my husband because THOSE ACCURSED SAIYANS DESTROYED MY HOME AND MY FAMILY!" The last part was roared aloud the quiet plains, before the general put her hand to her temple. "Forgive my outburst.."
Riku closed his eyes and sighed as Polara explained that she was attempting to bring back her home world using the dragon balls that would soon be made. The saiyan did not feel as if her intentions were more than what she told, and what she said next truly made him believe her. Polara confided into him her situation, of how she did not wish to be on Namek, but she had to in order to keep what was left of her family safe. Her last statement came out in a furious roar that could have been heard a few islands away. Riku only listened, and when she apologized, he responded as such.
"There is no need, Polara, your outburst wasn't something I would condemn you for, it was something I would do in your position. I am sorry, truly, for your losses. I'm assuming Polar and one of your sons are left, then. I am not sure who your emperor is, but he will not harm you or them as long as you're here. May I ask, where are Polar and your son? The last time I saw Polar...well, I believe if you were to know of how I met your brother, things would turn bitter. It is your choice, would you like to know about how Polar and I first encountered each other?"

Polara's gaze was a bit sad as the topic changed to her family, it was clear that even though the invasion of Arcose had been a while ago it still hurt her greatly. "They are on Earth.. Defrosch is my youngest and only surviving son. How did you meet my brother, I hadn't seen him until recently and even before that he left me alone after killing our father for years.." The female was very family-driven, and she'd not included fear of her own life if she left, rather the fear for her two surviving relatives.
Obviously a gentle soul beneath her seemingly cold exterior, an extremely shy bird would land on her shoulder. A white-gauntlet hand would reach to stroke the bird softly with a single finger, and she spoke again. "Our emperor is Abzerute, and he is far more powerful than I am. I cannot dream of holding a candle to him, he's a bit stronger than you yourself.. But go on about how you two met, I do not judge based on the past but rather who you are now."
Riku raised an eyebrow, his eyes opening at the same time. It appeared as though he had met the whole family now. "Ah, Defrosch, one of Earth's Z-Fighters. He's a very capable person, I met him once during a mission the former Galactic Patrol sent me on. It seems that I have met all of your surviving family, and now you." A small smile formed on his face, and soon faded when Polara mentioned Abzerute, the emperor of the Arcosian Empire. She stated he was only a bit stronger than Riku himself, which would be strange, considering Riku's ki was surpressed.
The saiyan assumed Polara had the ability to sense his full ki, which was rather impressive. At her insistence, Riku finally told her of his past with Polar. "When I was part of the Saiyan Solar Empire, back during the time of the invasion, I was sent down with the whole invading force. I was a relatively new soldier, but I had higher power than many soldiers even in their Oozaru forms. After a frantic introduction and entrance into Earth, we began to wreak havoc. The group that came to oppose us, members of the Blue Banner Army, was made up of androids, saiyans and one sole Arcosian. This was Polar. At the time, Polar was no match for me in his base form, but he bested me in his True form."
The memories flooded the saiyan's mind for a moment, and he paused in his story. It was hard remembering the invasion, and whenever he thought of it, the occurences came to life in his mind. "Forgive my sudden pause, it is just...difficult to remember all of this and not relive it myself. As I was saying, me and Polar ended up having a battle, and if not for his True form, I would have beaten him. However, we were up against a raging Oozaru as well, which did not help our situation. In the end, the Oozaru was defeated, and Polar spared me that day. However, I gave him a promise, that we would one day fight with no restrictions, and then we would decide who is the better warrior."
Riku took a deep breath and looked at Polara. He had most definitely given her something difficult to accept. "I am no longer part of the empire. During the invasion, our team retreated and turned traitor to the empire. I am the sole survivor of that squad. Today, as you can see, I reside here and protect the Namekians, but I fear that the empire has not stopped tracking me. I've encountered empire soldiers here and there, but none actually brought me to what they call justice. There you have it, Polara."

Polara's arms remained crossed as she listened to the Saiyan; sure his ki was suppressed but she'd never sensed Abzerute without his heavy weights on. He spoke of being a previous member of the empire, which stirred her internally for a moment. Polar seemed to have spared the monkey, after defeating an Oozaru alongside Riku. It caused her tail to go stiff when he spoke of no restrictions, and she held her tongue for a moment until he finished. "You kill my brother, I won't spare your life."
Her tone was deathly cold, eyes narrowed as the general was clearly very protective of her family, especially her two surviving relatives; one of which was her son on Earth. "I take your word that you do not reside with the empire anymore, however if you kill any of my family, you answer to me so be warned. You don't want to know what my third form is either, it scares most people. I do not hate you, I am just giving you a warning."
Riku kept his remarks to himself for a moment when Polara gave him a threat with a deathly tone. He was aware of what Arcosian's could turn into, more specifically their true form which was said to be their strongest. Her threat was true, he knew that much, but to him it was just words. "I don't believe I ever said I would harm Defrosch, and honestly, I don't think I can. However, the promise me and Polar made does not include you at all. It's something we shall settle. Death isn't assured in our fight, but I do not promise it will not happen."
Riku sighed as Polara stated she had no hate for Riku, but she would be who he must answer to if he kills Polar. "Your...threats, do not affect me, Polara. I know the transformations you can undergo, believe me. I've witnessed them first hand. However, I am not at the same tier I was back when I faced Polar. I am far stronger than that time without having to do any type of transformimg. Now, if I am forced to transform, I cannot ensure anybody's safety, the power is simply too intense and wild to be controlled. So, before you continue with your threat...just know that what you feel now is only three-fourths of the power I hold in my normal form."

Polara gazed at Riku, eye twitching as he said this wasn't affecting him. He spoke of transforming, to which the first thing that came into her head was a Super Saiyan. His power level increased a fair amount, yet weirdly she wasn't fazed by it and kept a calm gaze. "I don't like transforming, let me tell you this. But there is little I have left to hold dear, so I don't care if I die avenging my brother should you attack and kill him. As for your power, I'd fight and die to a damn Super Saiyan if it meant my brother would have a chance at being safe."
Her eyes would grow with a particular emotion, one that was incredibly protective. A mother's instinct was true in the cyan orbs, and Riku's presence was causing her tail to start twitching. A barbed tip would be visible; the barbs looking incredibly sharp and would be very very painful considering how deep she could drive them in a body from the obvious power in her thick tail. "I do not wish to cause a fight between us, for now be at ease. But if it comes to death blows between you and my brother, and I cannot save him, I will make sure you join him in the afterlife."
"Truth be told, I do not plan on shedding blood in our fight. However, I am aware that in the heat of battle, anything can occur." Riku understood Polara to an extent, or at least he thought he did. He had no real family, his blood parents had been killed by the empire. Her courage and protectiveness impressed him, and it made Riku rather happy to see such determination to protect her family.
"What good would attempting to stop me do if you are defeated? If it comes to that, if you fall, would it really change the fact that me and Polar will still fight? This is simply hypothetical, mind you. The only reasons I would spare Polar is because he spared me and because now I know he only has you and his nephew. If you were to be defeated by me, he would surely attempt to kill me, and if were to spare him, he would only come back to kill me again... This is something I would prefer to avoid. On a slightly different note, tell me of the Arcosian Empire's status, seeing as you have already confided in me this much."
