(Current thread PL - 13,685, Heavy Weights on)
After her time spent with Noxa, Shemha was curious as to what state downtown Satan City was in. The redhead claimed there was little damage, yet based on her recount of the exchange, the Majin found it hard to believe that such large and powerful individuals could engage one another and not cause damage to their surroundings. Even when she fought in her simulator, a machine designed to house powerful warriors, there was collateral damage. This was a city, structures and roads abundant. There just had to be some signs the fight had taken place.
In no rush she made her way to the downtown district on foot, boots softly clacking against the sidewalk as she went. Beyond her own desires and self assigned information gathering, the Majin had no pressing assignments. There was no reason to rush, she wanted to take in all the details she could. Perhaps she might be able to gather a hint as to where Zucceta had gone too. The woman was on Earth and Shemha at the very least would like to pay her respects to her Queen.
Gradually the scenery changed. The number of buildings decreased and the amount of people on the streets followed suit. Noxa had also been right that the area was less populated than the center of the city, a good thing most likely or there could have been countless casualties. The dipping Sun no doubt contributed to the reduced traffic, the evening in full swing now as the flaming orb continued its descent towards the distant horizon. Some lights had already begun to flicker to life, various timers throughout the city activated as the hours of the day ticked away.
Whether night or day, Shemha didn’t care much how the city changed. What she wanted to see were signs of a battle, buildings reduced to rubble, cars immolated beyond recognition or ravines stretching across closed streets. She saw none of it. There was minimal damage to surface areas, sidewalks and roads alike, but none of it was overly significant. Again Noxa’s words rang true, the skirmish, despite the power of those involved left only small scars on the city. From what she heard of the fight, Zucceta was partially responsible for that, the Saiyan woman blocking several attacks from their intended target.
Pausing on a street corner she slowly turned three hundred and sixty degrees, giving the area another scan. The amount of citizens had thinned, but a number were still out and none of them appeared to be overly concerned with the landscape around them, almost all acting as if nothing had happened. Shemha’s little trip downtown was less eventful than she anticipated. @namorel

Satan City, it had been some time since Namorel was in this particular city, spending his last few visits to civilization in West City, more specifically touring clubs to get his rap career started and his mixtape to those that may be interested in it. Success was in a flux, but he believed in Noxa and her ability to find him the appropriate clubs to preform at, mixed reviews were common, but for the most part they had been rather supportive of his dream to become the illest rapper on Earth. He had yet to come across any competition, but the bar fights were rather common after he took from the stage. However, now he wasn't in West City, he was in Satan City and honestly was here for no reason in particular. This was the deepest he had ever been in the city, the buildings here rose higher than in any other part of the city, he assumed it may be some sort of center of commerce or communication in the city. It was always interesting when he entered settlements like this, they varied so greatly from his villages back home in almost every aspect, and it always mystified him. The feeling grew eaker with each visit to the city, but it was still persistent regardless. He walked on the sidewalk, his skin standing out outrageously from the grey and white of the buildings beside him.

In her scan of the area the Majin’s senses noted a signature that stood out. Out of all the races she knew of, a Namekian was one of the last she expected to see on Earth. Through here experience the green men lived mostly on their home planet, Shemha having seen few in her travels over the years that were outliers. Not to mention his signature stood far higher than even the majority of the warriors she had met on the blue grassed planet. More interesting still was, although she did not recognize the signature tied to the Namekian, his facial features looked familiar. One might argue the Namekian people shared similarities in terms of appearance and although that was true, there were many unique features on their face, angles and positioning that made them rather different if one looked close enough.
For a moment she held her position, eyes locked on the male’s face as she attempted to recall where or when she had seen him. Perhaps they had met in the past and she had just forgotten his signature? That was unlikely, but not impossible, yet she felt it wasn’t that. As she pondered she slowly began to walk towards him. His face, she had definitely seen it before, the question was where. A poster? Some display? Despite her usually strong memory, the girl just could not place him. Left with little to go off beyond her hunch, she closed in.
”Excuse me. I do not mean to bother, but don’t I know you from somewhere? Have we met before?” Polite as ever, her soft fight remained inquisitive and unaggressive, asking and not accusing. Maybe he remembered when they had run into each other or might be able to explain where she had seen him before. Perhaps his minimal fame proceeded him or the red skinned creature was just wrong.

Namorel continued on his route down the sidewalk, his equipment and small stack of CDs in tow, all of these concealed in a animal skin pouch on his hip. He did not have his weights on today, and walking without them was a peculiar feeling to him as he felt almost lighter, but eh pouch would be easily visible sitting on his waist. He expected little direct interaction as he walked through the downtown district of the city, knowing most humans preferred not to interact with vastly different species such as namekians or arcosians. So he quietly continued his survey of the buildings, not expecting an encounter. Little did he know he would soon be approached. "I don't believe we have met."The namekian replied, knowing for sure he had not met this individual before, let alone anyone of this species. He had no knowledge of the majin people and was ignorant of their appearance or existence as a whole, so this encounter was a rather new experience for him. He took a quick survey of the majin woman from the front, trying to wrap his brain around their structure or build. Trying to be discreet about it, he would only take quickly glances otherwise in an attempt to collect visual information to help himself.

As the Namekian stopped, it was immediately clear he did not think they crossed paths before. Shemha continued on her path to get closer to him before she stopped several feet from his person. Unaware he had never met one of her kind before, she carried on the conversation as she would with anyone else, not at all bothered by his slightly appraising eye. Others often scanned her up and down whether it was for her general appearance or for the attire she wore, it was something she was plenty used to. His careful and somewhat discreet glances were far politer than most.
”Are you sure? Your face looks familiar to me.” A slight pause as she licked her lips and again attempted to recall where she felt she knew him from. Still unable to remember she continued. ”Perhaps I am mistaken... In that case, my name is Shemha and although I am likely pestering you, it is a pleasure to meet you.” Without even his name given in return she dipped into a low bow, respectful as ever. In the back of her mind she still thought she had at least seen his face before. It wasn’t impossible for her to be wrong though, it had happened before. A curious creature she figured she might as well attempt to engage him in conversation.
When she rose from the bow, a gentle smile decorated her face. However unlike her it was to approach strangers on the street, she maintained her well mannered disposition. First impressions meant a lot so she hoped she had not been too aggressive already.

Namorel continued to watch, reciting a less up front glance as the majin drew closer. The species was a peculiar type, reminiscent somewhat of the humans, at least in physical structure in the opinion of the namekian. Perhaps this was due to this particular saiyan's attire and the fact their physique was very similar to the humans he had seen since his arrival on this planet. Regardless f this however he found it rather odd that she insisted knowing him somehow, aside from his music career that was still rather underground he was of no real significance to media or local banter on any regards; maybe she had links to the few bit of music Noxa had him launch, if so then that was rather exciting for the namekian. "It is nice to meet you Shemha, my name is Namorel."The namekian said to Shemha the majin. He too would follow through with a bow, one of short bend and a quick rise from such. As he bowed however, when he rose the animal skin bag on his hip would fall to the ground, revealing a compass and a small bundle of CDs with a makeshift cover revealing the name 'Greener Than Kash' on the front. Noxa had also suggested the name of the album as it would 'attract attention' to it. He wouldn't instantly notice this until he heard the compass hit he ground, the soft ping of the metal against the cement that made up the sidewalks and roads of West City. Hence forth he would take a moment to start collecting the things without bending over by extending his arms to do so.

Namorel returned her polite gesture and introduced himself. In her travels she had found most Namekian’s to be friendly in nature. Perhaps it was thanks to their relatively peaceful home world, the place far less hectic than Earth or Vegeta in her experience. Unfortunately for her new acquaintance, his polite gesture caused the contacts of the sack at his waist to spill out all over the street. Immediately Shemha moved to help pick the items up, but the green man was quicker. As his arms extended and she saw the name written on his albums. The Majin’s head cocked to the side in response.
”Are you an artist? Forgive me, but I have never met a Namekian with such skills before. If so…might I take a listen?”
The question held no hint of judgement in them, regardless of the name Noxa had chosen for the Namekian. Shemha appreciated all skill sets, regardless of how relevant they might be. Through her younger years she had been taught various skills to support her master and he instilled in her that none were useless. He had always said, those with power may rule, but they do not do so on their own. There are countless others in the Universe, who play their roll based on the skills they were given, none should be overlooked. This was not to say the Namekian’s vocal abilities would one day decide the fate of the cosmos, but that each and every individual mattered. The Universe was limitless because of the creatures that lived in it.

Namorel did his best to retrieve his contents at the fastest speed he could, but despite his speed on the matter, Shemha had seen the mixtapes amongst the pile and asked him if he was an artist of sorts. He could play it off right now and avoid the need to play them, yet if he did that what good would that do his career? However, criticism, be it good or bad is beneficial to anyone of a skill set that requires the outlook of their audience and other groups of the same stature and stance among them. Namorel would wait a brief moment before replying to get the majority of htem back into the bag and get it fastened back to his hip. "I suppose, but I lack th machine that operates them at this moment... which honestly is rather counter intuitive on my behalf."Namorel replied, laughing some at the second part as it was true that him not having the device to play the CDs made it rather difficult to sell himself to others without some speculation of herecy or a bad acceptance... even if he was giving the first sample out for free. He kept one of the mixtapes out of hte pounch for however the majin may reply on his statement, whether she had a solution or would simply listen to it at some other point in time.

”Oh, I see. Well, my ship has the capability to play such things. May I purchase a copy from you? I enjoy new things and a Namekian musical artist is definitely new to me.” Now, if he chose to give her a copy of his music the Majin wouldn’t object, but she was completely honest about paying for it. The Solar Saiyan Empire supplied her with enough on a monthly basis to be more than enough for her. She honestly didn’t understand why her pay hadn’t been adjusted. She received the same amount as any Saiyan soldier, yet she consumed likely one tenth of the food they did. That alone left her with a substantial amount to spend as she saw fit. This was as good a thing as any to spend it on.
”I must inquire though, what are you doing with all those copies, trying to place them in stores?” By no means a performer unless she counted her current ruse as a non-allied traveler on Earth, Shemha was aware how such an industry worked. Like many, a new artist or manufacturer on the scene had to earn their way into the market. With any economy the only things that sold, were the items people wanted. Art appeared to be one of the hardest types of merchandise to move, so much of its value determined by personal preference.
If Namorel accepted her offer to purchase the recording then she would hand over his asking price or if he handed her the demo for free in order to promote she would accept it just the same, a small bow following whichever transaction took place. She didn’t really know how to haggle, but she knew how to be polite.

Shemha mentioned having equipment on her ship that would suffice the needs to play the CD in the case that she had one. She quickly followed that with a request to purchase one of his mixtapes off of him. At first he considered dropping a price on them, but rather felt it wrong to make exception for someone who thought he was trying to sell them to people, so instead he would take a moment to explain his purpose as to having them on him before handing her one of them. "I am actually giving these out to whoever wants one for free... I was told to do so as one method to get my name out here and step out of the 'underground'"After explaining this to shemha he would offer her the CD that he had in his hand so that she could listen to it at a later date if she so pleased, he didn't mind when she did, but he supposed any time from anyone was better than none from no one at all. He did wonder though if he would ever see them in stores at some later date. Perhaps he would become famous from this or perhaps it would spiral down into a hobby career that he could still enjot doing without worrying about the amount of money he was making from each new album.

Namorel’s honesty brought an appreciative smile to the Majin’s features, red cheeks slightly scrunched as her lips curved upwards. The Namekian could have taken her for a ride if he wanted, asking for a desired price and taking the zeni without repercussion, yet he had not. That alone earned him respect from the red skinned woman, a slender arm extending to take the CD from his. Taking a glance at the album, “Greener Than Kash,” she nods with some form of approval before her attention returned to him, arm dropping to her side with CD in hand.
”A promotion type offer? Makes sense, but you said someone gave you the idea. Do you have other members in your group or perhaps a manager?” Unbeknownst to her the individual who had helped name the album was none other than the energetic red hair woman she had so recent met at a local bar in Satan City. Noxa was apparently diversified in the people she interacted with. She hoped her questions didn’t seem aggressive, she just found herself interested in the prospects of a Namekian musical group, it was rather unheard of. The chance run-in with Namorel and the fact he was out trying to distribute his CD’s, the fact he had CD’s in the first place, went to show how unpredictable of a place the Universe was.
After she posed the questions, her arm came back up and with a turn of her wrist, she took a look at the back of the case. No music fanatic, Shemha was aware that most similar records listed the songs on the back. It was a marketing gimmick to give potential buyers an idea of what they might be in for. The concept had never really made sense to her though, for a songs name didn’t have to do have anything to do with its meaning, not by definition or rule. Even so, she took a look to see what was listed, if anything.

"Yeah, sort of. As far as the other person involved. She is one of the first people I met when I landed on the planet... she calls herself my manager, she is a bio-android by the name of Noxa. She got me into the gig and I'm giving it a shot."The namekian replied as the majin woman took the CD, little did he knew that she had met the bio-android before hand. As ironic as it was that their mutual friend was no way involved in the meeting at hand,, but rather was actually one of the catalysts that allowed the interaction to occur either way. Noxa seemed to somehow drive a lot of those she interacted with together somehow, Namorel had yet to uncover if it was a predetermined sort of peculiarity, or merely one that was dictated by an oddly lucky chance. Either way it always led to unpredictable and interesting encounters between all of those involved in one way or another.

Shemha just couldn’t help the grin that spread across her face. Of course his friend was Noxa, this had the girl’s name written all over it. Having met the girl several days ago in a local bar, the two quickly became friends. Now, here she was meeting another one of Noxa’s friends. Small world, wasn’t it? With a light chuckle she responded.
”Noxa is a friend of mine, as long as we are talking about the same Noxa that is. Red hair, not really a fan of clothes and quite the energetic girl, right?” Even as she spoke, her head slowly shook. The next time she spoke with the girl she was going to make it a point to bring up Namorel and this singing career of his. She might even suggest that Noxa support him more, be his cover girl or something. From the albums displayed in various stores, it was clear what sold to the general public. Whether she meant it or not, Noxa had what sold.
”I will definitely have to make sure I give your album a serious listen then, Noxa and I have some similar tastes.” What she referenced was their taste for food and treats, but perhaps it carried over to the music spectrum as well. In all honesty, whether Shemha realized it or not, the strange girl was likely her first female friend. The whole concept was knew to her, but she was willing to explore it as long as it continued to prove beneficial.
