After just another ordinary training session between Kaiyo and Anzu Habane, Kaiyo had abided by her sister’s wishes and returned to the apartment, even if she had to grit her teeth while doing so. However, Anzu had a full time job to worry about as well as a boyfriend to spend time with when the two of them weren’t training, so she never stayed up very late. The younger of the two sisters didn’t have to worry about that damned seal that bound her to her sibling when Anzu was passed out. The night was Kaiyo’s time to feel somewhat free.
She never bothered to change her clothes before going out, but she did toss a light gray hoodie that was at least three sizes too big for her over her normal, fitted attire with the hood pulled up over her bright red hair. The large garment made it easy to conceal the small fire extinguisher that she liked to stuff in the front pocket.
Free as she may be, there was only so much Kaiyo could do so late at night in West Capitol. Most shops were already closed down for the night. She wasn’t old enough to be let into a bar yet. Clubs were out of the question as well. The music was nice and generally had a good beat to it, but they were always way too crowded. The young woman had a couple of favorite spots that she frequented. For the most part her nights were just spent wandering wherever her feet took her and hope something interesting happened; something interesting that didn’t involve her pyrokinesis acting up, that is.
On this night in particular, Kaiyo found herself in her favorite little diner on the outskirts of the city. The owner was an old guy named Marcus who was nice enough. He didn’t hover despite the fact that most of the times she was in there, she was the only patron. It was even enjoyable to make a bit of small talk with him every now and again, though he could always seem to tell when she was in no mood for talking when she first walked through the door. He didn’t even make too much of a fuss on the few occasions that Kaiyo had accidentally set the napkins at her booth on fire. Then again, a big part of that was how quick on the draw she always was with that fire extinguisher of hers. Still, even after surely noticing something was up with her, he didn’t pry.
Kaiyo sat in her usual corner booth with nothing more than a small cup of black coffee and whatever magazine was available at the time. She didn’t really care about the magazine’s content; it was just something to keep her mind occupied while she sipped her coffee. Most of the articles were just about the usual celebrity drama bullshit that some people could never get enough of. Were there people out there who were so bored of their own lives that they had to follow the personal lives of these people that they never met so closely? She was sure that at least half of these stories weren’t even true. It was just one of those things Kaiyo would never understand.
The hoodie clad young woman sighed as she finished off her coffee. She didn’t mind the bitter taste to it, and it helped keep her awake. Besides, it was cheap. After tossing some money onto the table she gave a quick wave to Marcus, who was contently working with the cash register from his place behind the counter, and stepped out into the night.
It was another one of those nights where Kaiyo didn’t really have a destination in mind. Feeling a little better now that she had her nightly cup of coffee in her system, she started walking deeper into the heart of West Capitol. While walking down the sidewalk, she saw something from the corner of her eye dart into the alley she was passing by. ”Hmm?” Feeling a wee bit curious and seeing nothing better to do, she decided to follow whatever it was that she had seen. However, she soon discovered that the alley she had wandered down was a dead end with no sign of whatever it was that she had decided to follow.
Suddenly, a loud hiss came from the dumpster she was standing next to accompanied by a metallic banging sound. A feral cat leapt from said dumpster and quickly darted back out to the road. ”Woah!” Kaiyo yelped as she stumbled back a bit in surprise. Just as it had cleared the large, metal container, a bright spark of light could be seen from within momentarily before it burst into flames.
”Son of a bitch!!!” the young woman swore as she whipped out the small fire extinguisher from its hiding place in her hoodie. Kaiyo proceeded to douse the flames in a gray foam until they finally died down. Seriously?! One little jump scare from a cat was enough to set her off tonight?! Kaiyo glared at the now fire-free dumpster. In the past three years of training with Anzu, she hadn’t noticed much of a change at all in her ability to control her pyrokinesis. Was it getting her anywhere?
The young woman let her right fist fly at the dumpster, putting a rather impressive looking dent in its side. She then returned the fire extinguisher to its place in her hoodie pocket before slowly moving back up to the mouth of the alleyway. However, she didn’t go back out to the sidewalk. Instead, Kaiyo opted to lean against one of the brick buildings on either side of her for a few minutes. She needed to calm down...

Rolling around sweating in his bed Athren sat up and looked around his bedroom. The young saiyan was exhausted yet he couldn't get himself to sleep. He was feeling lost on this Planet. He didn't mind the environment but he just didn't have a purpose here. On his home planet he was building himself up to be a mighty warrior and fly through the rankings in the saiyan military but that didn't work out either, sure he was good at what he did but the other saiyans didn't like his difference. It really wasn't a fair situation but it would be one that Athren would have to live with or at least try too, if he was lucky he'd get two decent sleeps a night without nightmares or his thoughts running wild about his past, present and future.
~I've got to get some air and clear my head.~ Getting up from his bed Athren walked over to the closet and grabbed all his saiyan attire. Quickly he put it all on. His gloves, jumpsuit, armour and boots were all part of it. Last but not least Athren put his scouter over his left ear and made out the door and down the steps to the front door.
Reaching the beautiful grass of the front yard of his little "stolen" island,Athren blasted off into the cool air of the night at the highest speed he could with nowhere in mind to go. As he flew the cool air felt soothing as it rolled down his jumpsuit and cooled his overheated body.
Not over the mainland yet Athren lowered himself so that his torso was skimming the water. Behind him was a trail of water splashing from the force of his Ki pushing him forward. The flight was amusing Athren as it usual did. He was always entertained by the idea of how he could fly and how many others could not. He enjoyed the freedom of movement in the air and even the feeling of the air as it softly flowed down his skin. It was something that he couldn't even begin to describe. It somehow managed to get his mind off the problems he was thinking about in his bed.
As Athren began to come closer to the mainland he decreased his altitude and splashed into the water. It was only briefly and for a second. He just wanted to rinse himself of all the sweat from back when he was in bed. He water felt chilly at first but once he got back out into the air it felt refreshing and soothing. Finally reaching the mainland Athren flew for a little while. Doing circles and just exploring the landscape of the Earth in the dark. He did find this planet to be much more beautiful then his own.
Taking a closer look Athren had noticed light pollution filling the night sky, he figured he had nothing else to do so he'd go check it out. He didn't think it would be any different then some of the other cities he had visited but he really wasn't fond of city life at night and he wanted to learn what it was all about.
The way he did this probably wasn't the best way but it gave him something to do with his night. Athren sat on the corner of a five story apartment building with his legs hanging down the concrete siding of the roof and watched the humans below. There wasn't nearly as many as in the day but he did see the odd few. A handful of them seemed to be intoxicated and stupid.. but maybe that's how humans handled their nights, hell.. He didn't know.
Watching quietly from the roof, Athren spotted a figure walking in clear view of the street lights. Whomever it was appeared to have a smaller frame and an overly large hoodie with the hood up. At first Athren didn't make a big deal of it until this figure walked down the dark alley that lay directly underneath him.
He couldn't really see much but it sounded like she had got scarred from something. That's when Athren had seen the dumpster light up brightly. He heard the woman's words as well and couldn't help but smirk. Watching her as she extinguished the flames he watched as he saw her collide her fist into the dumpster. He couldn't really see too much else from his point of view as the alley was dark.. But he believed it was about time to engage her in conversation.
Before Athren made his move he tapped the button on the side of his scouter. It locked onto her and gave him her PL reading. ~3,502... That isn't too bad as she appears to be human. If she is.. She's the strongest one I've seen yet.~
Finally Athren stepped off the roof and fell to the Alley below,He aimed to land in front of her. Using his Ki he slowed himself enough so that his feet would softly touch the ground. Before he spoke the young saiyan crossed his arms and leaned his back against the wall, his head turned to her. Even in the dim lighting, his beautiful ocean blue eyes would have stood out and if she looked close enough.. She may be able to see the silhouette of his tail softly swinging around.
His eyes went from the dent in the dumpster and back to her.
"What the hell was that about?" He asked softly as he tried to examine her facial features. Which was almost impossible in this lighting. Assuming that she accidentally set it on fire due to the dent, Athren decide to try and make a joke about the situation. Somebody have a bad night or something? Or just out to torch and beat up dumpsters?" Being a saiyan, Athren really never got to develop social skills or polite ones anyway. He lacked basic knowledge to politely introduce himself and he usually came off a little rude, but he was trying to be nice nonetheless.

Kaiyo just leaned against the brick building with both her eyes closed, doing nothing but focusing on her breathing. She wasn’t really one to resort to finding a happy place, but a bunch of deep breaths while counting back from ten did the trick. Sure, she had a lot of crap going on in her life as usual, but this was getting ridiculous. Between pathetic spar with her sister earlier that evening and that little episode just now, even she could see that she needed to calm down a little. The young woman really needed to stop being so jumpy.
Of course, right as that thought passed through her mind, she opened her eyes just in time to see a silhouette descending from the roof of a building. Kaiyo immediately pushed herself away from the wall she had been leaning against and put up her fists instinctively. However, the shadowy figure simply leaned against the side of the building just as she had been doing moments ago.
Kaiyo couldn’t see much of the guy other than he appeared to be a man, his voice quickly confirming that assumption. Other than that, the only thing she could tell about him was that he had blue eyes. She didn’t notice the faint outline of his tail. Whatever the hell he was doing there, his intentions didn’t appear to be hostile. Kaiyo crossed her arms over her chest, but decided to stay standing up on her own.
”And what if I am? Why’s it any business of yours?” she half snarled at the guy. Kaiyo had thought she had been alone in the alley aside from the cat that had already high-tailed it out of there. She wasn’t thrilled that someone had witnessed her pyrokinesis go off like that, and even less so that he was bothering her about it. Come to think of it, what the hell was he doing on the rooftop in the first place? Had she stumbled into the weird part of the city again? The last time she had done that, a couple of assholes with mohawks wouldn’t stop annoying her trying to get her to buy some useless junk that they found by rifling through the trash.
In the very little amount of light that was leaking into the alley, not many details about Kaiyo’s appearance could be gathered other than her general size. A couple strands of her messy, red hair poked out of the sides of her hood, but the rest of her face was completely overshadowed by how big it was on her.

Athren couldn't help but crack a little smirk on his face. He was amused that she was being a little defensive over the subject. Really, He didn't give two damns about what she had just accidentally done. A small pause would have occurred after her words as Athren prepared something to say.
" What if you are?" He repeated her question aloud. "Simple, Then nothing because it isn't any business of mine whether or not you're purposely damaging things or not." From what he saw he could make the assumption that she couldn't control whatever powers that she had, it was either that or she was in fact trying to set things on fire but that wouldn't make sense either due to the fact that she put the fire out instantly. "But from what I saw I'm going to take a guess and say you've got a power you can't control and I find it interesting. You've got a much higher power level than almost every single other human I've come into contact with and it made me curious." Of course, Athren was referring to the large population of people that he scanned from a rooftop. It was indirect contact but to him it still counted.
In the dark Athren continued to get a good look at her, unfortunately all he could make out was some of the red hair that lingered out of the hood she was wearing.
Hearing a noise behind him at the opening of the alleyway, Athren turned his head to notice a couple of drunk college kids dragging one of their friends past the alley. Athren shook his head in disbelief that the human race wasn't very independent before he returned his gaze to the woman.
Finally he stood straight up and faced her though he did keep his arms crossed. "If you don't mind me asking, What the hell are you doing out here in this time of the night anyway?" It wasn't his place to pry but he was curious. If she didn't tell him it wouldn't have been any kind of loss to him. He just wanted to learn more about the human race and their emotions in general, that was assuming that this female in front of him was a human.

“Wandering up to someone who you think doesn’t have control over some kind of strange power they have doesn’t seem like that smart of a move to me. You might want to try stifling that curiosity of yours. That is, unless you want all of your hair burnt off,” Kaiyo scoffed. At least, she thought he had hair from the faint outline she was getting of this guy. She had no idea why it was almost always the hair that got set on fire. That was one of the biggest reasons she ended up losing all of her friends in high school. One of the easiest ways to drive the typical high school girl away from something is to threaten harm to her hair.
This sucked. Not only had she already set something on fire tonight, but someone had been spying on her while she had done so. It was only made worse by the fact that his first thoughts on the matter wasn’t that it had just been some sort of freak accident like most people did the first time they saw it happen.
Kaiyo was tempted to just turn around and leave him in the alley. However, she was somewhat intrigued by him. He had effortlessly dropped down from the roof of a building that was at least five stories high and landed perfectly on his feet. The only people Kaiyo knew personally that could do that were herself, her mom, and her sister. She remembered seeing clips on T.V. of some tournament that took place not too long ago where there were others that could likely pull it off, but she didn’t really pay too much attention to it when it was on. The young woman had been kind of depressed that she wasn’t allowed to take part in it.
Hearing the same noise that the strange man had apparently heard, Kaiyo turned her head to catch a glimpse of the plastered college students as they passed by the alley. She sighed and shook her head at the sight of them. The young woman couldn’t really blame them for getting drunk and making fools of themselves. As far as she was concerned, everyone had shit happening in their lives that they wanted to forget, even if the escape was just temporary. That may not be why those guys in particular were out partying, but she couldn’t fault them just for being drunk. Kaiyo was a bit envious of them, though she would never admit it. Chances were, by the time she was old enough to go and get plastered herself, it would probably just make her powers even more unstable than they were now. It didn’t help that alcohol was highly flammable.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m clearly out here setting dumpsters on fire and punching them,” Kaiyo remarked with a shrug of her shoulders. However, she thought about it for a moment before deciding that she could probably give a better answer than that. “I guess you could call me a bit of a night owl. There aren’t many people wandering the city at this hour. I prefer it that way.” It was a nice, simple answer. Of course there was more to the story than that, but Kaiyo wasn’t the type to just start spilling her guts to every random person that dropped down on her from above.
“So, what about you? Do you often stalk people from the rooftops?”

"Threatening to burn off the hair of somebody who's twice as strong as you doesn't exactly seem to be much brighter of a move than the one that I just pulled." His smirk didn't fade from his face if anything it got even larger. It was obvious that he was being amused by this entire situation. Athren then blurted out another assumption of his. " And correct me if I'm wrong.. but If I wasn't right about the situation and you could control your abilities.. I don't think you'd be threatening my hair." Even though she couldn't see it Athren arched a brow. It was his way of saying checkmate.
It wasn't his place to say something like this but he figured that she might be as lost as he was. He had powers that he couldn't control under the full moon and he didn't really have a purpose on this planet. Her situation couldn't be any worse then his really. "Really though, If that's the case I wouldn't worry about what I think because to me It doesn't bother me that you've got special abilities or not. Even if you can't control them. I don't know you from a hole in the ground and I'm not going to judge you over that. Nor run away because of it. It really doesn't intimidate me." Pausing for a moment, Athren tossed in one last line or two about this before answering her final question. "Look on the bright side. You set things on fire by accident.. You don't become a massive destructive monster that destroys everything in it's path. It could always be worse." Here, Athren was referring to his own Oozaru transformation as he couldn't control it just yet. Although, He was working on it.. When he had the chance anyway.
Her question about stalking, Athren couldn't let it go just like that. He had to snap back with something. The first thing to pop in his head and out of his mouth was. " I stalk people from the rooftops probably just as often as you set inanimate objects on fire." If they were in the light Athren would be trying to examine her body gestures to see what got her and what didn't. He didn't want to go pushing her buttons too much but he did want to snap back at her with the same attitude she was using on him.
He then went on to briefly explain what he was doing. "I actually just couldn't sleep... So, Here I am. Watching and learning the lifestyle of this Planet. So far, It really isn't that exciting." Leaving it at that his smirk went to a smile. It wasn't much and probably wasn't visible but it was still there nonetheless. So far Athren had been on this planet for three weeks and this was his second direct interaction with somebody. The first didn't go to well so he was actually trying not to get hot headed or throw any fists. He was actually trying to make a friend in this scenario, even if he was pushing her buttons.

Kaiyo scowled at him after he made his remarks about her little ‘threat’, though it’s not like he would be able to see it since her face wasn’t visible. “Number one, that wasn’t a threat. Number two, I never said you were wrong. Are you telling me that you hang around people that intentionally light dumpsters on fire?”
When the strange man started speaking again, Kaiyo could help but let out a flustered sigh. Was this random guy she didn’t know really going to play that game with her? Had he known how absolutely SICK she was of that talk, maybe he wouldn’t have bothered. Ever since her pyrokinesis had manifested itself when she was sixteen, it was basically all she ever heard out of her parents and her sister. It was always the same thing with them! After hearing the same generic lines over and over again that were supposed to cheer her up like ‘things could always be worse’ or ‘tomorrow will be better’, the only thing such talk accomplished was making her feel like whoever was doing the talking was just patronizing her.
When he was finally done talking about it, Kaiyo shook her head and raised her hand up just enough to wave his words away. ”Look, I don’t know who the hell you are, but don’t start getting preachy with me. I’ve already had three people toss me the same garbage on practically a daily basis for the last three years of my life. The last thing I need right now is a fourth.” Oh sure, he said that the fire didn’t intimidate him, but he wasn’t the first to do so. That mentality never lasted for too long whenever she met someone trying to get friendly with her. Eventually they would realize they were getting far too many burns to think that associating with her was worth it.
The young woman paused and took a couple of deep breaths to calm her nerves. So far this guy wasn’t doing anything to brighten her mood, and she knew that if she got angry enough she would just end up setting something else on fire. Kaiyo would rather not have to whip out the fire extinguisher again so soon. ”If that’s the case, you must stalk about three or four people each night then. It may even be more than that if your day was crappy enough,” she said matter-of-factly.
Kaiyo finally moved to lean against the wall opposite to the stranger she was still speaking to. Though, just as he did, he said something rather interesting. ”Mmm? What do you mean by ‘this planet’?,” she asked with a raised eyebrow. Well, that was definitely a new one. Either she really had wandered into the weird part of the city again, or... ”Wait a sec, were you here for that crazy tournament they held about a month ago at the Tenka'ichi Budōkai Grounds? I heard a bunch of aliens showed up for it. I didn’t really pay attention to any of the T.V. broadcasts, but I hear it ended in a big mess.”

Hearing her words and knowing she wasn't impressed Athren sighed and lowered his head down for a moment. His eyes gazed at the dark hard ground in the alleyway, if it wasn't so dark he'd probably be able to the the minimum amount of trash laying about. He took a moment to think out his next words at this point he really didn't want to push any other buttons and he actually wanted things to turn down to a civil tone. Being a saiyan this would be a huge challenge, he didn't have the greatest social skills and that was obviously showing. He had only one option and that was to wing it.
His first and only idea was to blurt out why he was saying what he was and to explain himself. " First of all, If you must know I don't hang around with anybody. Simple as that. Since I've been on this Planet I've really only had two real conversations. One was with some snake lady out in the desert that I wanted to destroy and the second being this one right here. And you know what? I'm sorry." Athren paused there for a moment, Did he just say what he think he did!? ~ Did- Did I just apologize? Hell. This planet must really be getting to my head. What the hell is wrong with you Athren!?~ That was probably the first time he'd had ever said that and he hoped it was his last.
" And no, If I came here for some tournament I would have left by now. The reason I'm here is because I'm different from the rest of my race. I'm a saiyan, a member of a proud warrior race. Every saiyan is born with dark, pitch black eyes and a brown tail. Me? I've got these damn blue ones and a grey tail. I was picked out by three others and completely destroyed in a brawl. They must of tossed me in my ship and sent me here because this is the hell hole where I woke up." He didn't actually mean Earth was a hell hole. It had potential and it was quite beautiful but he didn't have anybody in his life, and as far as he knew he was the only one of his race currently residing on this luscious planet. His tone went from his normal to a little annoyed. It wasn't annoyed because of her though, it was because he built up twenty years of being a freak and this was the only time he ever spoke of it. " I know what its like to be different and I've went through hell over it." Athren's right fist clenched tightly, all the bad memories that he got growing up began to replay in his head as he went on with his little speech. "So if I annoyed you while trying to help with some advice, I'll just get out of your way." By the end of it, Athren's tone went from annoyed to slightly upset.
With that Athren turned to the lighted street and began to walk out of the dark alleyway and towards the light. He really didn't know what to do now.

Kaiyo raised an eyebrow as he spoke. Did he just apologize to her? She definitely didn’t see that one coming. Being the youngest in her family and taking into account that they were the only ones she interacted with on a regular basis, Kaiyo was so used to being told that she was wrong, no matter what the argument was.
From the way this guy talked, it sounded like he was somewhat of an outcast as well. Maybe they had more in common than she first thought. So far he had said a lot of things that had pissed her off. Then again, she had found that a lot of people did that lately. Kaiyo had become so cynical after she had graduated high school...
Kaiyo felt her harsh gaze soften a little bit. ”So the society you come from doesn’t want you either, huh? I’m used to that feeling. I guess I can be a bit... difficult... to deal with sometimes. Think of it as a defense mechanism. Don’t take it personally,” she explained somewhat reluctantly. Leaping down at someone in a dark alley probably wasn’t the best way to make a good impression, but now she kind of felt like a bitch. She followed a few feet behind him as he walked into the alley way. If nothing else, they could always part ways once they got back out to the street.
Kaiyo didn’t have any experience dealing with aliens, and she had never even heard of Saiyans before. Sure she knew they existed, but she had never met one herself. The guy’s silhouette certainly didn’t give off any hints that he had wasn’t human, or at least none that she could see. Maybe once they made it out to where the street lamps were it would be more obvious.
”Name’s Kaiyo,” she introduced herself somewhat awkwardly as she shoved both of her hands into the front hoodie pocket, resting them upon her fire extinguisher. ”You said you were new here right? If you need directions, let me know. I’ve lived in West Capitol for a couple of years.” Her voice didn’t really hold any warmth to it, but Kaiyo wasn’t exactly a social butterfly. She was completely going against her better judgment by even giving the guy her name. Oh well, if this blew up in her face she could at least say that she had given him plenty of warning.

As she talked he walked. Once he got out to the light of the street he turned and attempted to make eye contact with her. Of course, he let her finish her words before he would say his own. "It's fine, I'm kind of used that as well." Pausing yet again he finally decided to say his name. "I'm Athren." At this point he really didn't expect that. He figured she'd watch as he left, but what she did was enough to return the smirk to his face though. So that was a plus.
Now that he was in the light all his features would be easy to see, including his tail that softly flowed behind him. From the light, Athren would try to get a better view of her, that's assuming she'd let him. If not, it wasn't any big deal. He really didn't see them talking again after this even though in his eyes it would be nice if they did.
" I appreciate the directions but there isn't too many places for me to go around here, Plus it's easy to navigate from the sky." Once again Athren would cross his arms over his chest. This was one of his signature poses, he thought it made him look tough. Even if he was wrong and it didn't, it was still quite comfortable.
" So, Where are you off too? If you need a lift I could probably help you get there a little faster. I wouldn't want to hold you up any more than I already have." Feeling like he had bothered her, he had made this offer to make it up to her. Of course the method of flight would outclass the rate of walking, but that was her choice to make. Not his.

Now that they were in the light, Kaiyo actually had a name and a face to the guy she had been talking with. Surprisingly, he looked human. He had what looked like some kind of monkey tail that she hadn’t noticed before, but that was really the only feature that might throw somebody off. Either way, a first glance would never have tipped her off that he wasn’t from Earth.
”You watched me follow a stray cat down a back alley. If I was worried about being held up, I wouldn’t have bothered with the mangy thing,” she pointed out. Now that they were out of the alley, Kaiyo would be able to be seen a lot better as well. The giant hoodie she wore still covered most of her form, but at least her face was visible now. ”As I said, I’m just a night owl. Unfortunately, most people around here aren’t nocturnal so most places are closed for the night. I’m just kind of wandering, trying not to light anything else on fire.”
”Since you don’t seem to have anything to do either, I would recommend a couple of places. However, you don’t seem like the type to like crowded rooms with blaring music. I’m not a fan of crowds myself,” Kaiyo spoke as she absentmindedly drummed her fingers upon the fire extinguisher in her pocket. He said he didn’t need directions, but maybe she could let him know about the night life in West Capitol in case this insomnia of his lasted for more than one night. ”I’m also going to go ahead and guess that you don’t have any sort of Earth I.D. on you. I guess that rules out bars and pubs. Umm... No, unfortunately that’s all I’ve got. West Capitol gets pretty dead at night.”

Finally laying his eyes on her face he arched a brow and couldn't help but stare for a moment. He thought she was gorgeous but obviously he wasn't going to let her know that. Quickly he looked away and tried to scan the environment around him as he attempted to straighten himself out. "Uh-..." It took him a moment to catch himself and actually say something normal. "I'm sure I can get into a pub if I wanted too. But I'm more of a Keg around a fire kind of saiyan." That was a typical victory night for Athren. Every time he won something or achieved a goal he'd gather round a fire with comrades and drink the night away. These comrades weren't even friends, they were just skilled fighters like Athren was.
"One thing I did enjoy about my Planet was the constant fights. Any underground fighting around this place? I could go for a brawl right about now." Athren lifted up his left hand and scratched his head just above his scouter. " It's either that, hang out with you.. Or head back to my cabin." Really, Athren was content with either of the options he had just laid out. It had been three weeks since he had gotten into a fight of any kind and he really did want one. It was in his blood to love fighting, it was one of those things that he really didn't have a choice about.

Kaiyo tilted her head to the side when she noticed Athren giving her a funny look. She guessed that she wasn’t quite what he was expecting, though she had no idea what exactly that would be in the first place. Whatever, it’s not like he was saying anything about it. The young woman just shrugged her shoulders and decided to forget about it.
“I wish. If that was the case, I would be there in a heartbeat,” Kaiyo groaned when Athren asked about the underground fighting. Of course a place like West Capitol wouldn’t have anything interesting like that going on. It was way too tame for that. The young woman couldn’t help but let out a small laugh when he mentioned going back to his cabin. “I’m not so sure about that. Following some guy home that you met in a dark alley sounds like it could get you in a lot of trouble.” Didn’t really think he had any bad intentions, but the set up was kind of funny.
“With two options down, I wouldn’t mind if you hung out with me. It’s not like I had anything better to do. Just wandering the city as usual,” she said before taking a few steps down the sidewalk and motioning with her head for Athren to follow.

"It's not like you had anything better to do? Really, So If you had something better to do you'd tell me to shoo? Is that it?" With a smirk on his face that was his response, his tone was very light. He tried to make it obvious that he was only playing. He completely understood what she meant, he was just trying to be a little bit difficult.
Athren took a look at his surroundings, at this point there was nobody around. The streets were empty and boring with the exception of them and a rat Athren saw running down the street. He then turned his head back to where she was walking too. He intended to walk beside her. Taking his first step to do so he stopped as his scouter began making it's scrolling sounds as it attempted to inform Athren of a power level nearby. Finally it beeped and read a solid power level of Five thousand and gave Athren the distance and direction that it was in. At this point, Athren would turn his head to look up on a rooftop.
What he saw didn't amuse him and it wiped the smirk off of his face. He saw the dark silhouette of a man with one foot on the concrete siding staring down at them. His body was covered in saiyan armour and he had a tail flowing behind him. The build and power level matched Brahma, one of the saiyan's that caused Athren's arrival on this Planet. Athren figured that if Brahma was here, so was Celric and Zaleio.
Athren's tone went from joking to stern and serious. "Kaiyo, I think it's best that you get back to wherever it is that you live." Turning his body, he decided to face Brahma and stare up at him. ~ What the hell is he doing here? And where the hell are the other two clowns? Must be here to finish the Job.~ Athren's right fist clenched tightly.
While on the location with Kaiyo, Athren had already been thinking out scenario's in his head. Right now, It would be wise for Athren to engage Brahma and try to take him out quickly. Minimize the numbers before the other two came. Of course, that was assuming that the other two were even on this planet. There were only two things that held Athren back from doing that. First, He didn't want Kaiyo getting involved and becoming a casualty and second, Athren didn't want to cause any damage to the city that he was standing in. It would have been unnecessary.
He couldn't help but keep his eye's on Brahma, but he couldn't figure out why he was just standing on top of the rooftop. Athren had noticed him and that was obvious at this point so there wasn't anything holding Brahma back from engaging. It just didn't add up at this point. ~ Maybe he's just trying to scare me? Hmph. Like that'll work.~
Regardless of why Athren wasn't being attacked, he wouldn't move a muscle until Kaiyo got herself out of here or until Brahma had forced him too.

”Exactly, but that would all depend on what I had to do, wouldn’t it? For all you know I could be a secret agent on an important mission,” she said with a slight grin. Kaiyo wasn’t all that used to wandering around with company, and as far as she was concerned it was still very likely that all of this would blow up in her face. At least tonight wouldn’t be boring.
As she looked over to him she noticed that the weird little computer that was stuck to the side of his face was doing... something. ”So what is that little thing on your head, anyway? Is it some kind of fancy PDA?” she asked. However, Kaiyo received no answer to her question and instead watched Athen look around the area intently, only stopping when his gaze reached the roof of the building next to them. The look on his face wasn’t happy at all.
The young woman followed the Saiyan’s gaze and squinted her eyes as she saw the same figure that he was looking at. She couldn’t see all that well with how high up he was and the limited amount of light that reached him. This time she definitely noticed that the shadowy figure had a tail. Whoever her was and whatever Athren’s beef was with him, he was another Saiyan.
Before Kaiyo could ask what was going on, Athren spoke up in a very low and serious tone. He told her that is was time for her to go home. ”What are you talking about? What the hell is going on?” she whispered back. The fiery redhead was confused as to what was going on. However, what she did know was that things were about to heat up. They had just gotten through talking about how bored she was and how nothing ever happened in this city. Did Athren honestly expect her to just go quietly into the night like a good little girl?
”You know what? Nevermind. I probably don’t want to know anyway. Later,” Kaiyo whispered again. She tossed one more glance up to the figure above them, shooting him a quick glare, before turning on her heels and quickly strolling down the street. Was that the way back to the apartment? Of course not! There was no way that she was missing this. Neither of the two Saiyans had to know that just yet though.
As she approached the nearest street corner, she made a sharp left and slowed her pace until it was little more than a crawl. If Kaiyo didn’t want to lose them or reveal herself, she would have to keep a sharp ear out. Whether they decided to duke it out here or take it elsewhere, she didn’t want to be far behind. There was definitely a storm brewing between those two; an intense one, at that.
