"Call it advice for the future," Articho said with a shrug, still wearing a shit eating grin. He found how angry she as getting to be quite amusing, but he figured that was enough. His mother, and oddly enough his father, had always told him that no matter how snarky he got, bringing up a woman's weight was a big no-no. And hell, keeping up his charade might hurt his chances of possibly convincing the other hybrid to let him be a babysitter. He could always use the extra money. Articho didn't move, letting her kick connect with his chin. He didn't react, but it did hit pretty hard, enough to bruise his skin, at the very least.
The hybrid spit out some blood that had entered his mouth. "Not a bad hit," he commented. "I felt that one. I hope you know I'm just screwing with you. You've got to learn to keep that temper under control, Arias. It can get you into quite a bit of trouble." He went to push her foot away and was about to follow up with a short, powerful punch to get sternum when a voice made him halt. A voice that made him roll his eyes and groan in annoyance.
Walker.
Articho stood up straight and watched the piece of wood grow up from the ground. He crossed his arms as he watched Walker talkin to Arias, getting some sense of hypocrisy from the former Caretaker. "That's great and all, Twiggy," he said. "Why don't you go threaten planetary genocide or get fired from your gardening job again? 'Cause, it doesn't make much sense for you to come find Arias if you don't like being near her."

Arias sensed something shortly after the kick to Articho's chin connected, the female warrior looking up in fright. There was an ominous telepathic voice that sent shudders down her spine, fear clear as the Super Saiyaness looked at Walker.
His power level suddenly exploded, skyrocketing to points that made her heart almost stop with fear. "......... Explain myself.." Closing her eyes and resting her hand on her chin, cupping her chin as she thought. Why did she do what she did? The answer finally coming to mind, the female looked up and directly made eye contact with the tree.
"What I am about to say may seem like a pelutant outburst to you, but it is the truth. I indeed mimicked your way of resurrection, after finding a specific hole left by a demon thousands of years in the past. My answer is this. When my parents died, the empire took me in and raised me. I had a meager power level of ten."
The hybridess took a breath before continuing, her tone blank, along with her eyes. "They raised me and helped me get stronger. I would have been no match for the wasteland beasts roaming the planet has it not been for them. A part of me constantly tugs towards the empire, for I was raised in their beliefs and ways."
Lowering her head and licking the blood from her broken nose that was on her teeth and lips, she returned her gaze to the tree's deep, misty purple eyes. "I at first came to Earth to train to be of use for the empire. I grew stronger but was slowly pulled away from on my quest. Due to all of you, I am being torn apart by my consciences. One tells me to go to the empire while the other says to try and work back in with you all."
A faint chuckle came from the woman, her teeth showing briefly. "However, I don't think you will all forgive me. And that is fine, hate me until the end of time if you so wish. I do not control what any of you may feel. Do I regret my actions? Yes. I feel as if I cannot fix them."
Arias spread her arms, in no aggressive gesture. "You see me here before you now. I admit to what I have done wrong. I can only say I'm sorry, though I doubt that would fix the open wounds I have inflicted on many."
With that statement, the female shrugged before folding her arms over her chest. Her instincts to run were almost overwhelming, however, running would not solve much, speaking from experience it merely made things worse.

The tree glanced over at Articho for a moment. He seemed to stare through him, until the half-saiyan's words registered. If he had a face, it might have been easier to discern his thoughts. However, he merely made a dismissive noise and turned back to Arias, saying "Once you have lost everything you care about to a single source, and managed to avoid nearly making a terrible mistake due to grief, then I will consider your words. Additionally, I don't believe one can be fired from a job they quit months before, but as you will."
He had ceased being the caretaker when Bing fell, although he kept the place clean as a courtesy. He couldn't find much merit in the ill-informed words, overall. His grief at the time of the incident over Vegeta had been immense, and he was glad now that he had been stopped. The likelihood of gathering the Dragonballs to wish back all those who had died and gone to Heaven from Vegeta's destruction seemed slim in hindsight.
Focusing on Arias, he crossed his arms and listened carefully. It seemed she had indeed died out in space, as he suspected when he felt her power vanish suddenly. It hadn't been much of a surprise to see her return, after she had seen his own resurrection. The implications, that anyone could conceivably escape the afterlife, were quite interesting, and potentially troubling. Perhaps there was a limit, or it was only a temporary method. That, or all those other lay-a-bouts just hadn't been trying hard enough.
Snorting slightly, he moved forward, stopping just in front of Arias and staring down at her. He was being intimidating, yes. Still, he did not take being backstabbed, as she had done, very well. "I see. I suppose I cannot argue that point, but it does not excuse your actions. Your hesitancy, your lack of conviction, has brought this down upon you. Nobody else."
Moving back again, he spread his hands. "Therefore, I have decided the following. You have already died once as a result of your crimes, and I doubt my killing you again would be considered much of a punishment...." He glanced down at her, eyes tracing along her form. She had died while pregnant, more pregnant than she currently was. "You have a new mate. Stay with them, and do not bother Earth or my family any further. If you slip up again..."
He lifted one hand, idly bringing a ball of energy to bear. The off-hand gathering of Ki surpassed both Super Saiyans currently present. "Then he will bear the brunt of your failure. You may be able to escape the afterlife, but can they? Can your children, which you have already lost once? Decide your fate, decide where you stand, and cease the indecision, or others will suffer for your foolishness regardless of whether or not I get involved." With a flick of his wrist, the Ki bubble vanished. "Do. I. Make. My. Self. Clear?"

Articho's glare towards the former caretaker hardened and his grip on his own arms tightened slightly. Walker wasn't completely wrong. The young hyrid had lost friends before, but never the people closest to him. He should consider himself lucky, but the idea of grief was not foreign to him. When Gleciar had died so long ago at the hands of Kaula, Articho was sad and angry and the thought of taking revenge had crossed his mind many times. But he never did. He pulled the blame to himself and kept going. "Nothing excuses murder, especially murder of that scale," he replied. "Wah, wah, you were sad when Bing got killed, boohoo. I didn't see Maeve and Etoru attempt mass genocide when he died. What makes you think 'grief' is an acceptable excuse?"
Articho looked back at Arias over his shoulder as she explained herself. He rolled his eyes in annoyance at the whole situation. Whoop-de-doo, she was loyal to the Empire. She didn't pose a threat and, from what he had seen, she hadn't done much of anything to actually give an advantage to the Saiyans. Every time Articho had met with her, she'd just been some pregnant woman doing whatever. When Walker threatened her, though, he decided to step in. He moved in between Arias and Walker, staring hard at the former caretaker. "Look, Treebeard," he growled, "I don't even know why you care so much about Arias. She hasn't done anything and just look at her. She couldn't even threaten a mouse. Seems awful strange for you to be so scared of her, even with loyalty to the SSE."

Arias nodded quietly, hovering into the air slowly as her ki flickered around her. "Loud and clear." She replied. Fuckin psychopathic tree. Doesn't he have someone ELSE to stalk? Huffing faintly, she saluted the other two being below her.
"Well sayonara, love to stick around but I have to get back to the house." Arias said, voice rather smooth as she would hover further back, and with a bang, fly off at top speed to get back home. She was not in the mood to deal with a psycho tree that could nuke her with a mere poke.
Attempting to exit, she needs to fix her busted nose. If stopped, it's fine.)

The tree sighed, glancing over again. "Yes, I'm aware. I had been planning to reverse it for those who did not deserve it, but thankfully cooler heads prevailed and I was dissuaded. If I had actually gone through with the act, then you might have a point." The Half-Saiyan was correct, and if the tree had actually destroyed Vegeta, he would be far more contrite at the moment. However, given that he had not done so, he felt somewhat less apologetic about his vengeful urge.
Taking advantage of his momentary lapse in attention, Arias skedaddled off. As she left, Walker's head tilted forward slightly, and his eyes narrowed for a second. It was rather uncouth, but...
"Arias... three things."
His mental message contained an evilly amused tone. "One, know that I can still find you. Two, I sincerely hope you decide where you stand. And Three...." His mind transmitted an image of Presto hanging off Bastion. "Your daughter is mating my son. Have fun thinking about that, darling!~" He cut the connection.
Turning back to Articho, he sighed. "Aside from my mistake over Vegeta, what exactly is your issue with me? Is it my response to Arias? You are aware of all she's done, correct? Although I do hope she decides to turn her life around."

Articho rolled his eyes again at Walker. "Yes, because killing someone, then saying 'Whoops! I didn't mean to do that to you! I was only blowing up your planet to kill someone else!' makes everything so much better," he replied sarcastically. "You may not think it matters in the long run because you didn't do it, but almost going through with something can still hold repercussions.
Articho turned away from Walker for a moment to watch Arias fly away. He snorted in laughter as her form disappeared into the distance. Clearly the Saiyaness was a lot of bark and no bite. "It's that and how you act like it doesn't mean anything," he explained. "Plain and simple, I don't trust a single twig on your head. I don't know what goes on in that bark covered brain of yours, but I get the feeling it isn't good. As for Arias," the hybrid looked in the direction the Saiyness had flown off in, "she'll learn to not put her nose in places it doesn't belong. But if she doesn't, you can take pride in the fact that I'll end up agreeing with you."

(Given the events of the recent DE, do we want to end this here? Seems like a good stopping spot.)
