@tokoz (Thread PL: 9,269,043) The indicator of the Dragon Ball Radar lead him straight to an old friend, who he was sure was dead. Vi-Poi halted in midair, the force of his sudden stop causing a thunderclap to reverberate in the air. Steam hissed from his chi-sponge skin. "Walker." Vi-Poi said in cautious greeting, folding his arms across his chest. "I don't mean to be rude, but you're currently in possession of an important artifact. Whether you realize it or not, these Dragon Balls are too dangerous to use without communal assistance and counsel." A wind began to kick up as the small android accessed his fighting suite, chi gathering in his power converters as he scanned the bio-android. "How did you learn of them?" He inquired brusquely. A milky blue aura rose from Vi-Poi's shoulders. "I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement."
(Left the setting, situation, and location intentionally vague so as not to meta you Feel free to elaborate on that if you want. )

(Thread PL: 256,070) The tree turned about to stare at Vipoi, blinking for a moment. "I am fully aware of both what I possess, and it's implications. I am also aware that it is currently the only method of saving Bing Gan, and perhaps this planet by extension. I frankly don't see why communal assistance on that is required." Folding his arms, he stared the android down. Any initial happiness at seeing his old friend had vanished as soon as he had made his intent clear.
"Bing has been transformed into a cybernetic being, one that was capable of dispatching both Reikiko and Kaula. I am gathering the Dragon Balls to reverse that transformation, and in doing so deprive the SSE of their most potent current weapon. If you have some more useful wish, I am glad to hear it, but I fail to see a more efficient use of their power at the moment."
Eyes narrowing, he watched the aura rise from Vi-poi's shoulders, and tensed slightly. Was he seriously about to attack if he wasn't obeyed? He vaguely recalled hearing from others that ViPoi and the BBA had been more dominating in the past. Perhaps there was more truth to that than he expected.

The two hung in the air for a long moment, silent and still. It seemed neither one of them was going to act first. Frowning, Walker sighed. "Has it really come to this? I'm sorry, Vi, but I can't give you this. Not after all that's happened. Besides, the most important thing is that the orbs are used before the SSE gets their hands on them. If they're out of play, the SSE can't seize them, and I'm certain there's already someone here looking for them, perhaps Bing himself." Pausing, he frowned and gestured. "Wait... what in the hell is that?" Holding a hand up to his face, he shaded his eyes, peering off into the distance. Then, bizarrely, he seemed to freeze, standing in his usual position, his robes fluttering in the air. Was he... bobbing slightly? If Vi-Poi was fast enough, he might notice a suddenly robe-less Walker zipping into a Portal far below and vanishing, holding the Dragon Ball and his belt. Yet, he still appeared to be standing there, motionless. Any closer inspection would reveal that what was standing there was now a thin, perfect wooden outline of Walker, entirely 2-Dimensional. The robes were being held up by numerous Balloons inside, and the wooden cutout was holding it in shape. To wit, Walker had left a cardboard cut-out behind, and made his escape.
Walker uses [UT] Magic Materialize to make Balloons! Walker Looney-Tuneses Vi-Poi! Walker runs away! (It's been two days, and I checked with some mods/Admins, and they felt that running away was an acceptable use of the Skip rule. Normally, I wouldn't be skipping, but it's the middle of Exams for me and I'm incredibly busy. Don't have a lot of wiggle room at the moment, and there was 50/50 odds I'd end up in this position in a few days. May alter this post if Vi-Poi has some good reason, like a sick relative or sudden deadline, obviously.)

(Hey @tokoz , yeah double post is fine. I've been busy as well, but I'm going to have to interrupt your escape. Also, what portal? ) Vi-Poi blinked slowly at the odd display, his tracking suites still holding on to the lock and his Magical Operating Gadget unfazed by the mimicry. Before Walker could escape, the small android quickly transmitted himself into the path, blocking the way. If Walker tried to slip around him, he'd slam a hard kick at him, trying to push him down into the ground while gauging it carefully to not damage his friend. "It seems we're at an impasse then," Vi-Poi would say afterwards. "I hadn't known that Bing Gan was the Imperial Saiyans new weapon, but it makes a certain kind of sense. We're going to have to come to some sort of agreement, even though we both share a common objective for their magic. Bing was my good friend. One of my best. I won't let him be some mechanical marionette for the Queen. I've fought Bing before. And beaten him. You're still a novice, one that is untested in high stakes. I propose a game, one to determine who should hold the Dragon Balls for our shared purpose. We fight. Whoever is the victor is clearly best-suited to guarding the Dragon Balls until the Eternal Dragon can be summoned."Vi-Poi raised his arms forward, wrists bent down in perfect imitation of Bing's snake form, body slinking back in midair. "What say you to that? My gears haven't had a good warm up in too long."(Stopping your exit and promising to post before 48 hours next time...) The tree fell to the ground, grunting heavily and landing amid the dust. "Pffha! Aaaagh..." Despite his small size, the android was quite strong. He lay there, listening to the android's request. A fight, hmm? He didn't want to do this, but it looked like there wasn't a choice. "I cannot be swayed from my resolve. I contest whether it is wise for you to attempt to do this, given your responsibility as the new Premier. I was Bing's second, the Caretaker of the Lookout. Still, if you require me to prove my worthiness..." Standing up, he floated back up into the air, leaving his robe behind. Standing in the endless sky, he cracked his neck once, twice. Then, he looked at Vipoi with a serious air, and asked simply "Do you know what the definition of a Saint is? It's not a wholly good person, precisely. Rather, it's someone who has a great holiness, or likeness to God. The God of Earth, Bing Gan, has fallen." His eyes closed, and his hands fell to his sides. "But there is more than one God." With a cracking noise, a line ran up his large, bulky form, glowing with purple energy, and everything went dead silent. It was as vibrations which created noise had been canceled out entirely, leaving only a perfectly still void for one terrible moment. No sound. No wind. Nothing. Walker's outline hung in the air, only a silhouette visible in the burning sun of dark purple light that had surrounded him. Walker (x11 Qliphoth): 2,816,00

Walker floated in the air, his form quite radically different. Smooth ash-like wood, grey and fluctuating like a coal. Purple fire seemed to burn beneath his skin, and his eyes had become the windows to an inferno so bright, the centers were almost white. Lashes of electricity arced along his limbs, and his body had become almost predatory. "I apologize, Vi-Poi... but you may require some repairs after this." Whipping his hands together, Walker's eyes narrowed, and the two palms cracked into each other with an echoing clap. "If we're going to settle this, let it be with one resounding blow!" The folded hands, almost as if in prayer, snapped outwards, forming a triangular shape. Around him, golden flickers of energy crackled, and a devastating aura began to grow. Vi-Poi’s eyes widened in amazement as Walker’s power burst thirty fold. It climbed high, higher than Reikiko’s, as high as his own. And then he saw the familiar technique, the one that had ended Realigner Red. The kikoho. Had Reikiko taught it to everyone but him? He was slightly offended. “Bing was just a man who learned some magic tricks. You can try to be Bing, but you’ll fail.”
It was clear that Vi-Poi needed an edge. Walker, or whatever he had come back from the Afterlife as, was not the same friendly tree he’d once known. It was all the more reason to deny him access to the Dragon Balls. His focus hovered over his Overdrive Trigger, cold analytics bolstered by worry. He hadn’t gone critical in a long time. He hoped it still worked. If not, he’d be giving the Science Corps satellites quite the lightshow. He closed his eyes, relaxing from the snake stance, arms and legs outstretched to as he floated upward high into the air, the sun at his back. He accessed Survival Mode files and flipped the Overdrive Trigger. His Magitek Megacore squealed as the old heart reactor at its center unhitched and opened like the petals of a flower, pushing out centuries worth of electron-ki conversion into his Poitonium circuits. Not all the energy would be usable. It was like sipping from a firehose. His systems would harness a bit more chi, but most of it would quickly evaporate into heat. Already the air around his skin was hissing with steam. His internals would be pressed to their limit coping with it. He switched his safety resistors off, and powered down his Internal Protection Grid. As the last metric of his High-Voltage Laser Containment opened free, the dying vacuum of trillions of electrons filled the air, a deepening groan of energy that resounded for miles. The ground below began to shake, and Vi-Poi’s icy blue aura grew a shadow as the ghost in his machine began to fully awaken, drawn closer to its housing by the storm. When he opened his eyes, they were scrawling with lines of red code. SURVIVAL MODE: PRIORITY OVERRIDE >OVERDRIVE ENGAGED< THREAT ASSESSMENT: BIOTECH, MAGIC UNKNOWN PHENOMENON SELECT ALL TARGETS >> TERMINATION OVERRIDE CALCULATING TRAJECTORIES AND COMBAT PARAMETERS… 5150 213 0444 28750 6633 100 9891 01124
Green and blue flames licked the air around him, and a heavy column of steam whistled above, forming into a rotund and white mushroom cloud. Mountainous boulders were rent from the ground below, rising up around both fighters as their collecting energies buffeted against one another, bolts of blue electricity flickering from Vi-Poi's skin and lashing futilely against Walker's violet aura. When Vi-Poi spoke, his voice was cold and dark, malicious, “It takes guts, trying to be a god. The problem with guts is, they get spilled on the floor.” The adolescent soul of Poi was at its height now, filled with anger and jealousy, channeling through Vi-Poi’s processes like water through a sieve. Hearing Vi-Poi's words, the tree snorted. "Trying to be a god? Once again, people misunderstand my words. Can nobody on this planet see beyond the immediate?" Energy licked around him, gathering into his charge. "I thought you of all people would get it, but it seems I must be more blunt." "I am not trying to be a god. I am certainly not worth to be Kami. So far, only Bing and perhaps Maeve have fulfilled that stringent Criteria. However, a God must be strong. A God must be capable of knowing when to use that power. A God typically rules in some manner as well." He dismissed the idea with a shake of his head. "Did I call myself a God? No. I said Saint. Someone who shares qualities with a God."
As the sky darkened, the area in between his hands zoomed in on Vipoi and his blue Aura. He had begun charging an attack of his own, that much was obvious. What it was, he couldn't say yet, but it would be immense. "I couldn't stop the death of Bing. I was unable to stop Kaula and Rei from being killed, despite my efforts. If I am to be at all like a god, then I intend for it to be that we are both beings of power. In my case, power enough to restore my friend and the Kami of Earth to where he should be, to restore Earth to it's peaceful state." Despite his fearsome appearance, he seemed to sag for a moment. "I just want this to end, to have my friends back... and yet so many seem contented to blindly wait for their doom. To be able to stand on the Lookout and gaze at the stars without the fear that the next glint will be SSE spacepods coming to end the world in blood and fire." His shoulders squared, and he directed his gaze at Vi-Poi. "As such, I refuse to let anyone stand in my way of fixing what has been broken, WHO has been broken, Vi-Poi. I will show you just what I'm capable of, prove to you that I can overcome even your level of power. I've reached this plateau, and if I can move on from here, I will not allow myself to stagnate like so many others."

Vi-Poi’s composite skeleton trembled and shuddered from the power coursing through him. He hadn’t ever held so much. With its energy, he was certain he could destroy the planet. The entire system, maybe. The mushroom cloud above him grew until it was an ominous mallet of frothing steam, easily visible from anywhere in the East, blotting out the sun for those in the Mt. Paozu area. Earthquakes spawned from the cycle of his unbuckled reactor thrummed across the lands, shifting the stony ground like waves of the ocean. The great peaks of the mountain itself shuddered under the glare of rivaling energy, and even ships out at Sea would be buffeted by tumultuous waves.
“What is a saint if not someone too shy to call themselves a god?” These notions of spiritualism always made him uncomfortable. He’d been to the other side, and there’d been nothing. For Poi, too. The revenant still made home in his systems.
At Walker’s mention of proof, Vi-Poi smirked. “You will prove nothing by using Reikiko’s finisher against me. It’s a technique you borrowed, one with a heavy drawback. It’s a double-edged sword. Think you’ll be able to bury the Imperial Saiyans with a single attack? You’ll only end up destroying yourself. The Vegetans are steeped in warfare. Fighting them is about more than who can dump the most energy the fastest. It takes guile. It takes teamwork. It takes martial arts!”
Lightning began to batter the ground around them, hurled from black clouds swirling around the immense white column of steam.
"Or do you think that Reikiko didn’t use her best card? The kikoho is probably why she died, whether by crutch or by overuse. Out of every being on Earth, I’ve battled Queen Zucceta the most. She is an uncanny fighter. She’ll have beaten your kikoho before you even use it.”
Vi-Poi would continue to charge, his body now strobing a florescent and blinding blue, his internals and skeleton visible under his flesh with each pounding blast of light.

The energy seemed to be reaching a climax. Walker stared down Vi-Poi, then stated "Well then, I'll simply have to find another manner. The day I stop evolving is the day that I die." He paused, and in a much more off-hand tone, said "As for the Saint thing, I may have to select another name then. It seems you're not taking it as intended, but far more arrogant and power hungry. Bit sad, really, I thought it was a fitting term, but the attached connotations you're getting are a problem." Shrugging one more time, he brought his hands forward, and his voice took on a deeper timbre, echoing his shout across the space between them. "KI!" The energy he had built up fired gathered in an instant, brought to a fixed point. "KO!" And, with a final shout... released. "HOOOO!" The beam shot across the air, forming a square-like area saturated with golden energy that shone like the sun. It hurtled towards the robot and his charging attack, the energy gathered insane. As it flew out, Walker sagged slightly, working his muscles to combat the sudden wave of exhaustion that hit him. "Well then. You seem so approving of the Queen, then naturally you must have some clever method aside from simply trying to reduce the damage, right?" The tree suspected that, even if the Robot did not manage to completely avoid the shot, he would claim it did not count as a win. It was troubling, because frankly, Walker did not want to fight. However, it seemed Vipoi refused to harbor the idea of someone else having the Dragon Ball, even after hearing their purposes were the same. Once again, he was being shoved aside and told to let someone else handle it.

Walker’s attack was as strong as he expected. Imminent destruction alerts whirled in Vi-Poi’s HUD. But the kikoho had a cost. Even an undrawn use of it would harm. A full-throated attack such as this would leave Walker hurt. That would be his chance. Just before the impact of the kikoho, Vi-Poi switched his comm channel through his electron-ki exchangers, creating a perfect sphere of beryl-hued, semi-transparent ki that surrounded his body. His Android Barrier Mk. III withstood the lionshare of the kikoho’s torrential flood of energy, only withering at the last pulse and finally melting away. As the remnants of his shield broke away in the searing golden light, Vi-Poi let out a howl. The sheer amount of energy was overloading his circuits! Already he could feel his chi-sponge skin soaking in too much of the attack. The detonation came, a rippling burst of smoke and fire and heat that shone like a second sun. The smoke was black and heavy, as even the air molecules fused into heavier elements before those too were melted. Slowly, inexorably, the smoke cleared. Within its center was the small android, curled up into a ball. Ki burns crisscrossed his skin, and his breastplate had been broken in half. Patches of his micromotor repair gel shone green on his flesh, where the kikoho had left wounds.
“Your mistake,” Vi-Poi began, “Was starting the fight with your best attack. Now you are hurt by it, fatigued. And I know that’s all you’ve got.” The diminutive form slowly unfolded, the fizz on his HUD returning to clarity as each of his systems reported back functioning. The android smiled down at his friend, once more resuming the snake stance. “Let’s see if you can move as good as you can shoot.” He hurtled down towards Walker, attempting to pulse a ki blast at him before deliver pincering slashes with his tightly clenched fingers and hard strikes with knees and shins, aiming for the fiery trunk and the head. If Walker countered he would block as best he could with foreleg and forearm, but he knew the big tree had an advantage of reach in this fight. He’d have to keep close. Now the real fight could begin. (Android Barrier Mk. III used to block Kikoho along with Durability +x1 for 31,036,799. 33,707,520-31,036,799 = 2,670,721 bleedthrough hit (or 1,336,361 if the breakthrough defense still applies, not sure if that's functionally 'dead' or not) for moderate superficial damage either way.) Watching as the attack was blocked, Walker slumped. As Vi-Poi hurtled down towards him, the tree leapt backwards, reaching into his body and retrieving something. In his hand was the Dragonball, and he tossed it overhand towards the robot. "Here. Take the damn thing. If you're so determined to have it, just take it." He sounded rather cold, all of a sudden. After tossing the orb, Walker turned, and moved his hand through the air, creating a small rip. "Now, unless there's anything else, I believe I'm going to go and reflect on the fact that the president of Earth has time to mug his friends."

Vi-Poi widened his eyes as Walker suddenly conceded. Disappointment rang through his circuitry as he snatched up the Seven-Star Dragon Ball. He couldn't ever get a straight on fight these days! "Well, it is a busy job, but most other presidents had to sleep a third of the time!" Vi-Poi explained with embarrassment as Walker departed into his portal. Had he just mugged a friend? He glanced down at the orange orb shining in his hand. Maybe. But it was for good reason. [Exit, PL please ]
