Walking the ship, a data pad in hand, Zerori was going through the final diagnostics that was presented to her by some of the science officers. They weren’t the best at figuring out this ship but they knew their way around a breech and how to seal it. That was enough for her peace of mind. She’d decided to pay Articho Reville a visit after having allowed him on ship to his destination. They were just coming up on the outer sector of the system when the computer had informed her that the warp drive had encountered a problem. That meant the trip would take longer… Passing a room, she stopped by a door she’d assigned to him and knocked. Waiting for him to respond, she would finish reading the report and just sigh deeply, “Why can’t this piece of shit just work properly?” Muttering angrily, she placed a hand on her hips as crewmen walked by. “It only takes one day but it couldn’t handle that…” She’d placed the scouter back on her face to keep tabs on any incoming or outgoing communications that they passed by. Unlikely, since they were in currently transporting via a warp field but it didn’t hurt to be more cautious. There was a stream on the Earth communications that didn’t bode well with her, something about a strange occurrence in a deeper system that had ‘biological properties’. Nothing about that seemed to be good but the ship’s sensors had been tracking it ever since they’d left Earth. Maybe she’d check it later on, after they reached Planet Namek…

Articho was hanging in his room by his knees on a strong metal bar on the ceiling, slowly raising himself up and down in airborne sit-ups. He found that training in space was different than back on Earth. Namek itself might have a different gravity than Earth does, which would only make things harder for him. He also felt the need to somewhat prepare himself for the battle on Namek. He had a feeling that the demon on the planet wasn't the only threat they would face. Namek coming back isn't something that just escapes people's notice, especially a person like the Saiyan Queen. The revived planet would prove a political battleground as much as it would be a physical one.
The hybrid looked up when he heard a knock at the door. He did a lazy backflip off of the bar and landed lightly on the ground. He slid a white t-shirt on to cover his bare chest before opening the door to see Zerori standing behind it. "Oh, hey," he said, slightly surprised at her arrival. "What brings you by? Is there a problem with the ship or something?"

Looking away from the scouter to focus on the boy before her, she noticed some of the sweat he has worked up and looked him up and down with a deadpanned face before she spoke up, “Yeah, uh… unfortunately.” She stepped into him, gently placing a hand on his shoulder to push him aside to go inside of his room, “The ship is encountering some issues with the navigation core. Not going to go into a lot of detail that you might not understand, but-” Spying a chair next to a table, Zerori sat down and placed the data pad on the table, “-We’ll be reaching Namek is in two days.” She nodded to the saiyan to come over, kicking the other chair out in a gesture for him to sit next to her. Outside of the ship, stars passed by them like streams of white lines as they dove through warp space. Zerori continued her explanation as she stared out of the expanse, “I have a gut feeling, Arti…” She spoke cautiously, tapping the surface of the table before continuing, “This ship was repaired before we left. It worked fine, with nary a coolant issue and now somehow our course has been changed to skirt AROUND the nearest system.” Her face was a grimace, mind still trying wrap around what could have happened. She turned to Articho, “I want to ask you, did you see anything suspicious while getting on to the ship or outside of the ship?” It might have been an awkward question to ask but she was uncertain, out of sorts and that… frankly, pissed her off and made her very difficult to handle. ((Sorry if this seems weird xD Lots of distractions writing this one))

Articho noticed her quick scan of him, though didn't reply. He instesd simply stepped off to the side to allow her entry, one eyebrow raised in confusion. A problem with the ship? Already? They'd barely left Earth and something was already wrong? It seemed like Zerori would need to higher better engineers and repairmen for her ship. The hybrid made a mental note to make sure he had the best staff if he ever got a ship. He didn't need stuff breaking down mid-warp drive. "Probably best to not even try to explain it to me," he agreed, sitting down next to her and grabbing a towel from the table. He wiped his face free of sweat in a quick swipe before continuing. "That stuff just goes right over my head. Not as simple as punching something in the face." Articho leaned back in his chair, scratching his chin in thought. Two days wasn't bad. Hopefully, the whole debacle wouldn't be over by the time they got there. That wouldn't be much fun.
The hybrid leaned forward, an eyebrow still raised in curiousity. "Someone must have tampered with it before we left. Strange they would send us so far off course. What system are we close to right now?" he mused. He had a sinking feeling the system they were close to was not one he wanted to be in. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back in his chair, his brow furrowed in confusion. He wasn't so much concerned with the "who." He cared more about the "why" and "where." That would at least explain the detour.
Articho shook his head, "Can't say that I did. It might have been a proxy of whoever's on Namek trying to stop us from getting there in time, which would let whoever's trying to control Namek get a possible advantage."

His admittance to not understanding the problems with the ship had her smile slightly thinking affectionately, Definitely more like a teenager. He prompted her with a viable reason and Zerori growled lowly, knowing that despite is lack of knowledge she agreed that the ship was obviously tampered with. To what extent, she was worried that it wouldn’t become clear to her until after the ship had pursued it’s entire course. She brought a hand to rub her temple when he asked what system they were close to, looking at him with a defeated expression, “That’s the problem. We’re in between system borders.” Grabbing the data pad she’d placed on the table, she pressed a few button and scrolled down before placing it back on the table and turning it to Articho. “If you take a good look at the space borders around us, you’ll see why I’m a little fucking nervous,” And with that, Zerori would get up from her chair while Articho might look through the data pad. He would find that the next closest systems was controlled by the Solar Saiyan Empire and the system besides that was the Namekian planet. But the ship wasn’t actually showing a course towards either direction, passing along a nebula that would leave the trajectory in flux. Going to the interconnected kitchen in Articho’s quarters, Zerori looked at the atomizer with interest before she spoke softly, “Vodka, straight. Two ounces, warmed to one hundred and twenty degrees.” The computer chimed loudly, making Zerori wince before the atomizer created the small shot of vodka that Zerori requested. Turning to Articho, she up-ended the glass before giving a loud hiss at the burn down her throat that settled in stomach, warming her. Shaking her head, she made a mention of his last words, “If someone is trying to divert us from Namek then you,” She pointed at him, “-Are going to have your hands full.”

Articho sucked on his teeth. In between systems? That wasn't good. Experience had taught him that other factions in the universe were quite conquer happy. He wouldn't be surprised if they got caught in a border skirmish or something along those lines. That would only slow them down more and the events going down on Namek would be over before he even got the chance to do anything. "Well, hopefully we get through here without much of a problem," he said as he took the data pad from Zerori. He flicked his gaze around the pad, his frown steadily growing as he studied the map. Shit. The SSE's territory. This was the last place he wanted to be, especially since he held nearly kill that shrimp Luffa.
The hybrid looked up at Zerori as she took a shot of vodka. He winced slightly at the sizzling sound coming from her throat. How did she drink it when it was so hot? That couldn't be good for her throat. "I guess heat doesn't bother you much, huh?" he commented. He followed up with a frustrated sigh and crossed his arms. "You don't have to tell me twice," Articho replied. "The Saiyans and I are definitely not on the best of terms since there precious prince nearly died in Satan City."

Oh, fuck that’s gonna make it hard to talk later, Zerori thought dismally as she tried to clear her throat again. It appeased her that Arti was starting to understand the seriousness of the situation, that they were between where they wanted to be and where they really couldn’t afford to land. When she noticed him look over and comment on her drinking’ skills, she would grin at the statement with a wink. “I live with the heat every day, Boy,” Clearing her throat again, she winced. “But don’t worry – I get burned plenty of times…”
Placing her glass on the table, she would devolve it back into the molecules it was created from later. Walking over to the couch nearby, Zerori would hold the edge and plop down upon the fresh flesh of the leather with a soft ‘PHOOSH’. Giving a soft sigh at the coolness of the material, she would look over at the boy and place her arms behind her head to lounge on them. “There was a prince on Earth? I only remember the attack being led by some General upstart that ruined the entire invasion for the Queen.” Giving a shrug, Zerori looked up at the ceiling of the room in apparent boredom and closed her eyes.
For a moment, she would just lay there for no real reason aside from possibly resting. When the moment would pass in either silence or Articho speaking, she would crack one eye open and look over at him, “Get me another glass, will ya? If I need to sleep through this bull shit then I’m going to need about eight more of those…”
