Riku walked through the lands of the East, Aiku's Ocarina in hand and his sword sheathed on his back. His hair was blowing intensely in the wind, his pitch black eyes reflecting a strange gleam of light. He was contemplating on what his next move would be. The saiyan in black sighed, he couldn't stay on Earth forever and he sure as hell was not returning to Vegeta.
Suddenly, he had an idea, one that greatly intrigued him. He cracked a smile and took the Ocarina to his lips, ready to start a tune. As he walked he closed his eyes and began blowing, the sound coming out flawless, fluent, perfect. Riku had been taught by Aiku how to play the Ocarina, but it had been forever since he had played. It seemed he still had that touch. He continued to play as he walked through the grassy terrain, his mind fixated on his idea however. He needed to retrieve his ship somehow, he would be heading off for space travel.
The saiyan played louder, it seemed very noticeable if you were a quarter of a mile away, the tune was captivating. He would probably attract some type of attention, but he was not afraid, Riku didn't intend on fighting, but he would if need be. The young warrior continued his walk and played his tune, the idea of being a space traveller still running through his mind.

[Heavy Weights Equipped - Thread PL = 2963]
The wind blew furiously through the manes of the Delicious Duo. Rustling the various lots of trees dotting the hilly landscape. It was an extremely peaceful sound; Hearing the wind carry isolated leaves along, flowing smoothly through the billions upon billions of blades of grass. The sun bore down on them like a righteous god swinging his mighty hammer. Though, the seasons were getting around. Autumn leaves scattered about, indicating that trees were readying up for the coming winter, a season Chaz wasn’t too fond of. While he did love playing in the snow and making snowmen, having snowball fights, all of that jazz, he hated the cold. It was the bane of his existence. While it wasn’t primarily the temperatures that forced him to dread the beautiful season, it did play a big part in his loathing.
Chaz had quite the weak immune system. During the Winter season, he is almost always see with a plugged up nose or coughing him a storm. That was his major problem. Chaz hated being sick. Why did he hate being sick so much? Aside from it being something that nearly everyone hated, it meant that he had to rest. A lot. Chaz wasn’t the type to always sit still and relax. While he did like his fair share of kicking back in lawn chairs and sipping some lemonade every once in awhile, he didn’t like chilling WHILE being sick. He loved exploring with Ibby. Always searching for the next adventure to embark on. Being sick, that isn’t always an option.
“I am not ready for the snow..”
Ibby was the complete opposite. He loved cold weather, and dreaded the heat. Being a small feline, he was always covered in a small layer of fur that acted as a secondary jacket. Winter was the only season where he could have fun without sweating his ass off. Plus, he knew his brother hated anything cold except for food and drinks, so it was a very opportune time to mess with him.
“I am!”
As they traveled along an open path, something pierced their ears like an arrow. Flowing through the wind, inside of one ear and out the other, it definitely caught the Delicious Duo’s attention. It sounded almost like.. music? Music, all the way out here? They were practically in the middle of a gigantic forest. There was little to no civilization near them. Who the heck would be playing music all the way out here?
“Chaz-kun, do you hear that?”
“Yeah…”
“Let’s go check it out!”
Ibby had already begun to take off in the direction of the music, only for his shoulder to be yanked backwards by his brother. Chaz held his arms out as if to point out their surroundings to Ibby.
“Look where we are, dude! The wind is going crazy around here. I heard once that in the plains here, when the wind is at it’s peak, it rubs up against the blades of grass and gives off the illusion of music! We can’t run off all willy nilly!”
Ibby gave his bro a sharp look. That had to be one of the dumbest yet most logical things Chaz had ever said in his life. Regardless, Ibby was intrigued. Alongside his love for food, Ibby fancied a good tune. Despite his reluctancey to impersonate the famous rock band a couple weeks ago with Chaz and Raisu, deep down, he was so happy that he had the opportunity to play an instrument. The drums weren’t his ideal instrument, but they would’ve done the job just fine. Ibby tugged on Chaz’s pant leg, trying to pull him in the direction of the music.
“C’mon! I’ve gone out of my way countless times for you. The least you can do is check this out with me!”
With a resistant sigh, Chaz followed alongside his brother. Upon following the mysterious tune, they were lead into a small forest. When they entered, the melody seemed to be much louder. It bounced off of the trees and poured straight into their ears.
“It’s just on the other side of these trees. Let’s go!”
Once outside, they could make out a figure in the distance. The were walking mindlessly through the grassy plains, holding some type of object up to their mouth. When they had gotten closer, it became apparent to Chaz that this was no ordinary human. Just by the way their outfit was crafted, the look of their armor. Chaz knew not who this was, but rather, WHAT this was. At least he thought he knew. He was putting all of his money on this guy being a Saiyan. With the recent attacks on all major cities BY Saiyans, Chaz was always cautious around them.
Chaz quickly unsheathed his Knuckle-blades, holding them tightly out in front of himself. He jumped in front of Ibby, intent on protecting his little brother. “Oi!”

Riku had not stopped for anything, he was lost in the sound of his Ocarina, the beauty of music overwhelming him, The young warrior felt the wind along his armor, blowing his hair back and caressing his face. The winds were strong, but nothing could cease him at the moment.
Just as the saiyan was coming halfway done with his tune, his scoutwr gave off a beeping noise, making him open his eyes to read a power level of over two thousand. Riku's eyebrow arched, finding it strange for someone to be wandering off into these parts of the forest. Just a few yards away a figure started to make out, then another one next to it.
Riku stopped playing his melody and stood in place, waiting. It had been clear they had found Riku, they were headed directly for him. One of the figures jumped in front of the other, revealing himself as a blond male and taking out a weapon that clung to his knuckles. Riku's eyebrow rose once more, hearing the male's voice call out "Oi".
Riku held his Ocarina in one hand and unsheathed his blade, spinning it in his other hand."What brings you here, sir? Seems dangerous for you two to be here especially with this wind."Riku inspected them, his eyes mostly on the blonde man with the weapon. He definitely was above the average human, but Riku was much stronger than that, but he didn't need to know that. The saiyan began to suppress his power down, in case the man could sense his power.
[Ki Suppression: 10,000]
The saiyan now with his suppressed power walked forward slighly, not intending on.hurting them, but getting close enough to see exactly who and what they were.

What kind of magic was at work here? This guy wasn’t attacking them. If he truly was a Saiyan, he should be trying to skin them alive. He should be tearing at their throats, trying to exterminate them at any cost. He certainly looked like he would want to. Though, over his travels, Chaz had come to learn that you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. In Chaz’s defense, this guy did look menacing. Despite his look, something was off. He was playing some type of instrument. Since when did Saiyans play sweet melodies? How come his fists weren’t clenched, ready to fight? The more important question was.. Where were his buddies?
Chaz and Ibby found out all too well that the Saiyans that invaded Earth did not come alone. Where was the rest of his ‘squad’ or group? Was this some type of ploy in order to get Chaz and Ibby isolated? Were they all salty because of how badly Chaz schooled one of their grunts? Was Raisu in trouble as well? Fortunately, Chaz was able to sense ki signatures, so unless they were all suppressed to 0, this guy was the only one here.
Chaz’s white aura flared up as he clutched his knuckleblades tightly. He couldn’t let his guard down. While this guy didn’t seem very strong, looks could be deceiving. Chaz had once run into someone who could suppress their ki by vast amounts, making Chaz think he was stronger than them. Nonetheless, Chaz kept his guard up. He would hold this guy off long enough for Ibby to escape if need be.
Chaz started forward, and he would’ve kept going had it not been for Ibby’s claws hooked into his pant leg. “Chaz-kun, wait! Maybe this guy isn’t so bad?”
“Ibby.. he’s a Saiyan! Of course he is bad! Did you see what those guys did to the South Capitol? Our home?! This guy could pounce on us at any second.” Chaz kept his eyes narrowed onto the black-haired Saiyan, his arms held out in front of him.
“Just because we ran into a select few that are bad, doesn’t mean we can assume every single member of their race are horrible people. Look at him. Does he seem to be powering up? Is he gearing up to attack us? No, he isn’t.”
As much as Chaz hated to admit it, Ibby was right. This guy didn’t look like he would be trying to cause any harm anytime soon. Well, he DID look the part, but his demeanor didn’t. Chaz slowly sheathed his knuckle-blades, his ki dying down now. He approached the Saiyan, placing his hands in his pockets. Ibby trot alongside him, finally arriving at the Saiyan’s feet. He flashed Riku a very welcoming, friendly smile before holding his little paw out.
“We’re just looking for a good place to eat, is all! By the way, sir, my name is Ibexe. This is my brother, Chaz-kun. I’m sorry if he comes off as a little rude.. y’see.. about a month ago, we were attacked by Saiyans in the South Capitol. We’ve kind of been a little cautious of them ever since.. How about you? What brings you out here, sir?”

Riku stopped halfway between them ande yed them both, his gaze shifting between the two. The blonde guy seemed to be weary of the young saiyan, and why wouldn't he be, there was an invasion going on. The saiyan raised an eyebrow at the smaller figure. He couldn't exactly make out what it was, but it didn't look human to him. The pair caused quite a ruckus as they argued among themselves. Riku only looked at them, wondering what it is they were speaking of.
Just then, the blonde one put away his knuckle-blades, shortly after stuffing his fists in his pockets. The duo slowly approached the saiyan in black and the small creature gave Riku a wide and warm smile. It stuck its hand out, which looked more like a paw, and greeted Riku, asking what brought him to these places. Riku kneeled and shook the feline looking being's paw lightly before answering.
"The name's Riku, little guy. Your a small fella ain't you? Cat I presume? As for me, seems like your friend there thinks I'm a threat, and with good reason, the invasion and all. I'm just wandering around Earth, reminiscing the times I had around here, the one place I can call home."
As Riku responded he gave a short sigh and looked up at the blonde guy, their eyes meeting. Chaz, that was his name. Ibexe, that was the feline's name. He closed his eyes and folded his arms, they didn't know Riku was apart of the invading forces that landed in South Capitol, maybe it was best they didn't know for now.
"Sorry about you being attacked. May I ask, what brings you two by here? Is there anything I could help you with?

Ibby blushed, putting his paws up to his cheeks as the Saiyan assumed he was a cat. For the first time in Ibby’s life, he shook hands with a Saiyan. It didn’t help their preconceived notions about Saiyans, with their step-mother being a hardy space monkey herself. While Chaz took it to heart and tried to avoid Saiyans at all costs, Ibby was a little more lenient. He was weary of them, but he wanted to give everyone an equal chance. Everyone deserved an equal chance in life. No one should have to worry about being perceived a certain way and mistreated due to appearance alone. That’s how Ibby was able to get so far in life. The only race he would likely hold a grudge against or seemingly steer away from were demons. They were beings of another dimension for crying out loud. They practically bled evil. That was besides the point, though. The point was, Ibby did not like judging people based on appearance alone.
The man seemed to agree with Chaz. About being weary of a Saiyan’s presence, what with the massive invasion going on and all. Something was a little fishy about this entire situation. Even Ibby could tell. Did this guy know more than he was telling them? A Saiyan, while not in the invasion himself, knowing about it? Of course word spreads fast, but this was off. He settled Chaz’s nerves a bit by kind of implying that Earth was a nice place, one that he could call his very own home. Isn’t that where all Saiyans came from though, Earth? Of course, there were alien species that probably came from other planets, but Saiyans looked like humans, except furry.
While Chaz trailed off in thought, Ibby continued on their conversation. “It is a very nice place to live! The invasion is getting quite hectic and all.. “ Chaz kept his distance, keeping his arms folded across his chest. He was ready to start fighting at any moment. “Us? Oh, we’re food connoisseurs! We travel far and wide looking for new restaurants and new dishes to try out. Right now, we’re just looking for a place to rest and eat.” Ibby seemed genuinely excited at the chance to be able to tell someone other than Chaz what they did. “There might be something you can help us out with.. Have you ever heard of Ruby’s Salvation? It’s a mythical dish said to be so tasty that even gods would find it to be like royalty!”

Riku smiled at the small cat, intrigued by his explanation of what they did. It seemed interesting to him that such a powerful human and a small feline would be off looking for dishes instead of fighting for the good of their planet. Tiku couldn't judge, even he had issues deciding what he would do.
The saiyan arched an eyebrow as Ibby mentioned a dish named Ruby's Salvation. The name did sound like a rather exquisite dish indeed, but he had never heard such a thing. He frowned, not being able to figure out what the dish could possibly be. The name did intrigue him, maybe it would be worth trying to fins. The saiyan in black nodded and looked towards Ibby with a soft smile.
"Sorry, Ibby, I haven't heard of anything such as this dish before. However, I do find it rather interesting for such a dish to be favored so much even by the gods. If you would like I could help you, but only if you want. I promise you, I have nothing to hide, I just seek to help. I feel bad for the occurrences in your home and would like to offer my assistance. What do you say, Ibby, Chaz?"

Ibby let his head down in disappointment. The only people that really knew about their goal, or even what it was, were people back in South City. Anyone from South City or around there should know what Ruby’s Salvation is. Maybe this Saiyan wasn’t even from there? Hell, it’s a very big possibility that he isn’t even from Earth.
Chaz began to come around. This guy was falling further and further off the ‘killer’ radar. He didn’t seem like he would hurt a fly. He was just about as polite as Ibby, in some circumstances. There had to be some type of catch, though. Why was he being so nice? Was he trying to hide something from them? Why was he acting so innocent?
Chaz took a step forward, uncrossing his arms. He stared directly at the Saiyan, trying to get a good reading on him. As much as Chaz hated to admit it, this guy had nothing ‘evil’ emitting from him whatsoever. While Chaz had no right to determine what was ‘Good’ and what was ‘evil’, and he had absolutely no way of sensing that type of energy, he could somehow kind of “Tell”. It was just a vibe he got from a person that would help them decipher whether that person was a “Good” person, or a “Bad” person. He wanted to test this guy, see if he really was all that innocent.
“You’re a Saiyan, right? How come you’re not taking part in the invasion? You guys are pretty vicious people. I don’t mean to be racist or anything, but seriously. All most of you guys want to do is kill people. I’ve only ever met one that isn’t even full Saiyan. He helped me defeat some of invading Saiyans. What about you? Do you expect us to believe you’re just here and have nothin’ to do with this attack?”
Chaz was normally quite the idiot when it came to conversations. But when it was time to protect his friends, and especially family, like Ibby, he rose to the pedestal. Ibby nudged Chaz’s leg, trying to get him to shut up. “Chaz-kun.. stop!”
“Ibby! We have to be sure! He doesn’t look one bit suspicious to you? He may be good, like Raisu. He may have a kind heart like Raisu. We can never know for sure.” Chaz turned his head back to Riku, looking him dead in the eyes. “I just don’t want to make the same mistake again.. Please. Don’t make me regret trusting you.”

Riku frowned slightly when Ibby got disappointed, the saiyan really had never heard of the dish before, and he lived on Earth all his life. Riku's eyes darted towards Chaz who paced forward, arms unfolded and face serious. The human stopped and questioned the saiyan in black, asking if he was apart of the invasion and questioning how and why he was here.
Riku chuckled, Chaz was courageous yes, but sometimes there were things best left unsaid. Riku let his power rise to about thirty thousand only to rush forward and end up behind the human before he could notice. Compared to Riku's speed, Chaz probably would not have been able to anticipate his actions.
[Ki Suppression: 30,000]
Riku blasted past, his body flashing next to the human with a smile. He placed his hand on Chaz's shoulder and looked forward, his voice now low. "Listen, Chaz. You have every right to be cautious and suspect negatively of me, I came here with an invading force, but I am a traitor now, I couldn't bring myself to do harm to the planet I was raised on, Besides, we were fooled into attacking by a deceptive Queen. Believe me, if I wanted to do harm, I probably could have. As you can see, I am no longer an enemy, just a lost soul, friend, So, how about we go find that Ruby's Salvation?"

Chaz was feeling confident for once. He was standing up for not only himself, but Ibby as well. He had to admit to himself, he felt a little bad about being so harsh on this Saiyan. Maybe he wasn’t all that bad? He could’ve been one of the nicest guys in the world, and here Chaz was accusing him of being some type of warmonger. Just as Chaz was working up the courage to apologize, the Saiyan’s power rose rapidly. Chaz had never witnessed such a growth in power before. In the blink of an eye, the Saiyan disappeared. He saw a lock of black hair in his peripheral vision. He had appeared right next to Chaz.
Placing a hand on the human’s shoulder, the Saiyan leaned in, speaking in a very low and intimidating tone. He mentioned about coming to Earth with the invading force, but now he was a traitor? Chaz knew something was fishy about him. Never before has his gut failed him, and this time was no different. He said that they were fooled by a very deceptive queen into attacking Earth. Who the hell was this Queen? Was she one of the monstrous power levels he felt back in South City? Could she have been even MORE powerful than that? Just thinking about that level of power sent shivers down Chaz’s spine.
The words of the Saiyan also scared him, just a bit. He was right. He was way more powerful than Chaz was, and if he wanted to take them out, he could in a split second. Chaz grit his teeth. He knew Ibby couldn’t hear any of this. He was glad, because he didn’t want Ibby to hear what he had to say next.
“Fine. You can help us.” Chaz craned his neck forward, going to growl in a very determined tone, “But don’t think for one second I won’t fight you just because you’re more powerful than me. If you try anything to hurt Ibby, I have no problem with laying my life down to protect them. As long as we are cool with that… You can help us.”
Chaz pulled back, staring directly into the Saiyan’s eyes. That speech right there could be the death of him. Was he truly ready to die? No. He hadn’t accomplished everything he set out to accomplish. In fact, he was scared of dying. It almost made him piss his pants just saying that he was willing to die. But it was the truth. Ibby was not only his friend, but his best friend. Not only his best friend, but his brother. He would fight the entire Saiyan army, hell, the entire universe to protect Ibby if he had to.
Ibby jumped up beside Chaz, floating in mid-air. “Uhm.. Mr. Riku, sir.. I don’t think you really understand our problem, here! Ruby’s Salvation.. it’s uh.. It’s split into four parts. Four scrolls, rather. Scattered over Kami knows where. We only know of one Scroll here on Earth. The others could be here, but we aren’t exactly sure. No one has gathered all four in centuries.. so.. unfortunately, it’s not a one-day job. We could spend our entire lifetime looking for the scrolls. It may be a foolish goal.. but..” He smiled, patting his blond brother on the shoulder. “It’s something that we can do together.”
