Ogre
Afterlife
Starting Power:
400-800
Appearance:
Ogres have very little about themselves that give them a 'specific' look, much in the way that no two Humans quite look alike but with roughly as much liklihood of significant similarities in apperance as a Saiyan, what does give the Ogres a unique look and what sets them apart from most other races physically is that they generally come in one of two colors which have since also become a method of classifying Ogres, Red Ogres, and Blue Ogres. Ogres that work down in HFIL often have a bulky and powerful physique due to needing to deal with rowdy souls on oocasion. It is possible for Ogres to have a coloration different from the traditional Red and Blue, but these oddly colored Ogres almost always still fall into one of the two catagories(an Orange Oni would most likely possess the Red Ogre racial trait)
Background:
The Ogres have always had a constant presence in the afterlife, much like the Kaio and Kaioshin who rule it the Ogres are 'natural' beings of Otherworld existing in various part of it, the overwhelming majority of Ogres fall under the command of there King, Yemma the most powerful Ogre known to Ogrekind and the judge of souls for Otherworld, most Ogres take up a position somewhere in line with aiding Yemma in his work, wrangleing souls, directing lost souls back to where they belong, and operating the Soul Clensing Machinery of HFIL. Every Ogre tries to do there part to make Otherworld run smoothly though oocasionally there are those who seek to rebel against Yemma's rule trying to eek out there own control over a portion of Ogrekind or foolishly attempting to depose Yemma.
Hybrids:
In spite of being a resident of Otherworld Ogres are quite capable of interbreeding with compatible creatures, it is not uncommon, even if the Ogre blood is not dominant, for an Ogre Hybrid to possess the coloration they may have possesed if they were a full blooded Ogre and most often posses at least one horn. The most common sort of Ogre Hybrids are Part-Demons, Demons seeking to cause problems for Otherworld will sometimes seek to gain a following amongst the Ogre population oocasionally leading to a Demon/Ogre union, other sorts of Ogre Hybrids are usually the result of an Ogre being sent down to the living world from other world in order to accomplish some sort of task.
Name Pun Theme(s):
Generally they follow along with Chinese Mythological characters related to the afterlife/underworld, Yemma/Yama(ruler of hell) Gozu+Mezu/Gozu and Mezu(guardians of hell) germanic names such as Hanz and Franz are welcome but have no relation to actual canon name schemes!
Unique Characteristics:
Red Ogres -
Red Ogres are generally bulky and powerful relying on raw power to fuel them, they begin with a bonus technique slot that can only be used to upgrade an Offensive technique or create a new Offensive technique, they cannot use this to create a variant to an Offensive technique.
Blue Ogres -
Blue Ogres are generally more cunning and rely on there wits, they begin with a bonus technique slot that can only be used to create a Variant of an offensive technique or to Upgrade or create a new Support technique.
(Half Red Ogres can only create a new Offensive technique, Half Blue Ogres can only create a new Support technique)
Afterlife Acclimation -
Oni being a naturally occurring part of the Afterlife find it far easier to transition from a spirit into a corporeal form after death, they need only pay half the shoki for a Otherworld Body after death.
(Half Ogres receive a 25% discount)
A Trip to the Other Side -
Because Ogre's begin in Otherworld they lack a One-Use Space Pod, instead they begin with a One-Use Living World Pass an item that when presented at the Check-In Station(or used in other more nefarious means) allows an Ogre to be transported from Otherworld to any planet in the Living World, the Pass is consumed in the process. Typically Ogres are issued these Passes in order to complete a mission of sorts in the living world.
