Vi-Poi smiled as Zexama approached, greeting her with a waved hand. “Zexama, it is good to see you. Thank you very much for your assistance. Things would not have ran so smoothly, had you not arrived.” At her question he responded, “I’ve been studying Namekian magic in depth.” Vi-Poi said after her inquiry. “It’s yielded some surprising results, but direct investigation will be required before any practical advancement can be made. Congratulations on your ascendance, my friend. ”
He turned to Articho, giving him a cursory scan. “It’s our duty to protect all residents of Earth from menaces such as these.” He responded simply before bowing his head respectfully. “I am Virtual Poi, Vi-Poi for short. It is good to meet you, though I wish it were under different circumstances.” He watched Articho rush into a sandwhich shop of all places, and shook his head slowly. He’d never fully understand biologicals.
He spent bid Zexama a fond farewell, telling her to call him should she ever need his help, and spent the rest of the time in West Capitol reviewing the damage and cleaning out any last residue of the aberrant threat. The cyborgs were remarkably thorough, and required very little in the way of direction. It wasn’t long before the echelons of tank columns rolled into town from the east, armor reinforcements from the regional command. None of them were needed now, of course. All of the battle was fairly well dealt with.
Major Vermilion sat atop one of the lead tanks, peering about the smoldering city glumly. “I was hoping to at least shoot our new cannon once in battle.” He said, saluting. “You have a way of making much of our advancements redundant, Administrator.”
“There will be times when I am unable to respond so quickly. Blue Banner Army needs to be a formidable bulwark that can operate independently of myself when required.”
The flame-haired Major nodded in agreement, and Vi-Poi took to the skies, arcing away from the city streaming with smoke from a hundred fires.
West Capitol might be the host of repeated misfortunes, but it would survive this, as it had all that came before.
(Thread Exit now that the fighting is done, PL please)
