((Heavy Weights are on))
What was the Makyo Star, and why did it have such an effect on demons? Kadbra did not know. He didn't even know that the bright star in the sky, visible even during the day, was even called the 'Makyo Star'. All he knew was that, ever since it appeared, strange energy had flooded his body and soul, coursing through his veins, and right into every fiber of his being - an incredible boost in power, to be sure. But even more, the light triggered something in him - a transformation of sorts. Normally, he was a blue-skinned, very tall humanoid being, with dark blue hair, horns on his head and a long, serpentine scaled tail... But right now, he was clad from head to toe in strange, dark armor that he could not remove, because the armor plating was literally his skin now, or so it seemed to him. When he first felt the light wash over him and change him, he had been next to an oasis in his home, the Fortuneteller's Desert, and saw his reflection in the water.
Now, the demon was floating in mid-air above the West Capitol, mostly because he wanted to distract himself a bit from his own predicament. If not for the heavy weights on arms, legs and waist that he bought before this strange phenomenon occurred helping to suppress his power, he would be a beacon of power attracting all sorts of attention, and even with them, his power far exceeded his fighting strength when not wearing them and not under the influence of the strange star in the sky. Still, as he was not able to hide his aura, anyone with the ability to sense Ki would be able to spot him from a fair distance away - it felt dark, oppressive, and a bit menacing, like the aura of most demons, but without any sort of direct malice or destructive intent within it, making it quite odd, yet still black as night.
Kadbra only moved out of his standstill in mid-air when he suddenly felt something... ominous. He wasn't sure if it was Ki that he felt, or something entirely different - like a premonition, perhaps? Slowly turning towards the direction of the strange feeling, his eyes hidden in the helmet focused on the far end of town. Something was moving there... And he saw a large amount of people apparently running away. Collecting dark Ki into the air around him, Kadbra dashed forward at - to him - unknown speeds, landing on the ground while kicking up a lot of dust, covering the escape of the humans fleeing from the border of town. And there was... SOMETHING standing there. "What are you doing here?" asked the black armored demon. His voice was slightly distorted, as if passing through a bit of metal on the way out, and no moving mouth could be seen on the armored figure. This form was smaller than Kadbra's normal one, but still quite tall - standing at around 6'5", instead of his normal 7'11". He had his arms crossed in front of his chest, standing in a quite self-assured position. Right now, he was empowered by this strange star - while he did not know the reason, he'd definitely use that power to make sure nobody terrorized humans while he was around!

(Heavy weights on)
Koramund looked to the sky to see the large Makyo star, glistening in the sky. It was a deep blood red, and from its call something dark would ascend, he just knew it. With a blink of life, he could see the ki trailing down from its embrace, it seemed to be a energy that only few could gain. He did not truly understand this, but it would be a interesting concept to study. He traveled into the air of the West Capitol, spotting the interesting man, floating and covered in energy. His essence was pulsing, and the pitch black and blood red armor on him was made of ki and flesh combined. It interested him greatly, oh yes. The energy was that of someone uncorrected, yet in the storm of darkness and plague. Damn him. He lifted up a corpse, cracking its neck, and drinking it's essence. The corpse melted into emerald green slush, then went down like a drink to a thirsty whale. He had to take the risk, he required more material to accelerate his acquiring of minerals, but would he be in danger?
Koramund was standing on all fours, his dragon fly wings buzzing, but then calming down to the mood. His blood red eyes slowly became fully pitch black, except for tiny white dots. They looked perfect into Kadbra, almost peering into his very spirit to find some dark sense of irony. His arms and legs were perfectly aimed down, the most efficiency he could reach in that pose, but it was clear that movement was not his true issue, it was his tail. It was up in the air like a scorpion's, covered in lots of squirming worms, which disturbingly enough were not worms, but other smaller tails that trailed from the main one, all oozing out the acidic digestive enzymes he used to drink. He slowly opened his arcosian maw, releasing a small cloud of vapor, almost a territorial thing. He could release a cloud around himself, revealing his true power level safely, but never actually use it without burning the material. Almost like how a dog pisses on it's land of ownership, he simply made a chemical that would reveal his horror. The power level marked at almost 40K! If that daemon could sense power level, he never knew, but he hoped it would scare him off. The beast leaped straight over Kadbra, melting into a liquid, reforming bipedal behind him.
The monstrosity laughed, his cold dark voice echoing, almost unnerving to even heroes, "Your the hero sent to stop my feeding this time? The last one was the strongest monster on this planet, and that devil is now soup. What do you offer to stop me here?" He split his tail into four large tails, impaling the chests of the poor humans, as they melted into the liquid, and was drank once again! The site was horrible, but Koramund decided to control the enzymes specifically, letting the bones of the four people drop to the ground, their jaws open and fixed in horror, while Koramund simply laughed. He taunted the daemon, as all four of his tails made the I'll kill you expression across Koramund's neck. Lets see how this daemon ticked.

What a disgusting, even disturbing, monstrosity he was facing down now. If Kadbra had a face in this form, it would show his disgust and hatred for this monster, who just devoured people like snacks. Why did the Kais allow for such monsters to exist? Why didn't they step in to crush such evil? But if they would not do so, then he, a 'monster' himself, would crush this bug under his heel, no matter how disgusting or threatening it was. The demon felt no attack directed at him just yet as his opponent jumped over him, and so, Kadbra didn't even flinch - the energy released by this thing was great, possibly far greater than his own, at least in theory. But as far as the current moment went, Kadbra had the upper hand - not to mention that he was literally a flick of the wrist away from his full power, since removing his weights would be as easy as directing Ki into the locks on them to discard them for a fight. Right now, the monster also seemingly suppressed his power, but far more than Kadbra, who was unable to hide the power of the Makyo Star - his reduced power was solely because of the weights.
The black armored demon felt the two tiny blips of Ki behind him disappear - two human lives, ended so easily and with such cruelty, it made his blood boil. To the stranger, it would look as if the blood-red parts of his armor started to glow more than they already did, and the black aura surrounding the armored figure intensified, making the spikes on the black metal seem more menacing, but he still didn't move a single inch from his landing position. As long as he had his Ki Sense, someone as powerful as his destined enemy couldn't simply disappear anyway. "Don't waste your time trying to scare me. I've lived my life in a world so horrifying, beings of your kind would fit right into it without any questions asked." The metallic voice was a bit dismissive now. The monster was horrible, yes... But mostly because of his actions. Terrifying a demon with grotesque anatomy and appearances was not all that effective, at least not on those demons used to the demon realm and hell itself - they saw incredibly disturbing things every single day after birth, with new horrors showing up every minute, and themselves often also being horrors in their own right. The most disturbing fact about this monster was his possible level of power, but if he simply defeated this thing before it could release all of it's strength, then it would be his win. "I wasn't sent by anyone." replied the black armored figure, his voice still sounding slightly echoed, without even raising it in anger. Kadbra's fury was something tranquil, seething and slowly stewing right now - perhaps in part because of the strange red star in the sky, but the demonic light and Ki gave him such a clarity and feeling of raw power that he felt as if he had no need anymore to raise his voice and express anger with it. "If you really think you've killed Earth's mightiest demon, then well... You're simply misinformed, you see. I'll show you what I mean." The words held no hostility, in fact, Kadbra almost sounded friendly and social towards this human-eating monster. Was the power of the Makyo Star so great that it could affect his very mind, perhaps twist even someone as kind as Kadbra into evil? Was there something inherent in a demon that meant, in the end, they would always turn into monsters, unable of redemption and true heroism?
No, of course not. Without any body language to give away a warning, Kadbra sprung into action. In a sudden whirl and dash of black energy, flowing around him like a black cyclone or shroud of energy, the demon used his supernatural powers to dash backwards and turn himself around in mid-air, doing a complete turn, before angling up his right leg - and aiming a kick right into the face of his monstrous opponent with his full force. Kadbra would not play nice with this monster. He would not try to redeem something so incredibly evil and abhorrent. "Your error is simple. I am Earth's mightiest demon! Kadbra, Defender of Earth!" With that shout and attack, the battle was on, as the demon encased in metal and energy raised his voice louder than normal speaking volume for the first time. And unlike the last time when he raised his voice, this fight would not end prematurely. He would not allow a second 'Satin' to be born - this monster would pay.

Koramund snickered and said, "What is the difference between here and the outside world? Do you honestly think you are the good guy here? If I ate any other animal, you would be fine with it, the only difference here is these humans are sentient. They can think about their own thoughts, it is a nice gift, but why should you care?" He roared to him with a voice that seemed to gather evil, "I am Koramund, the only living without strings! I am no puppet to you, or the kamis! I forge my own path, for the Kamis took my family away from me, and they tried to kill me!" The Bio-Android did something that would earn him an advantage, he flew into the ground, phasing through it to avoid contact with the mightiest daemon. Koramund snickered, thinking of a cleaver joke, but when he reappeared to tell it, he was decked in the face.
Ka-BOOM! He flew into the air spewing blood from his maw, but then the mutant simply warped, reforming its body before Kadbra's eyes. The mutant spoke again, "So Earth's mightiest avenger is ready to enjoy a game of tag?" He slowly looked around, then screamed, "FUCK! That was not worth coming out of the dirt!" He flied away, using his Obliteration Slaughter rain, to destroy Sky-scrappers, and cause them to fall behind him! He then said, "For any other being, this useless slaughter would be considered good by humankind! Even by angels! Consider that Daemon, when you are the only one who thinks I am doing a travesty!"

Koramund... So that was the name of this force of evil, this monster, destroying buildings and killing harmless humans. Within the cold metal of the armor, Kadbra's purple blood began to heat up with anger and hatred, unbridled hatred for someone who would so callously kill and maim. And what was his justification? Terrible things had happened to this Koramund in the past, yes. His family died, the guardians themselves wished him dead... But none of that mattered, because right now, Kadbra would not judge Koramund's conviction, reasoning or justifications. Kadbra would judge his actions alone, and these actions were those of a true devil.
After his kick connected with the face of the monstrosity, it seemingly reformed without problem - but before doing that, he clearly saw blood flying. Landing on the ground again and looking at the monster with his hidden eyes, he remembered... He had met someone like this once before... Zefonse, his friend and fellow swordsman, had the ability to regenerate, but was also a former human. Was this being something similar, but in the body of a non-human alien? Well, his Ki was definitely a lot darker than Zefonse's, even though Zefonse had a certain unsettling factor to his energy. As Kadbra saw his enemy dashing away, the black-clad demon powered up, the aura around him surrounding him with a dark glow, as he dashed right after him, cracking the ground beneath his feet with the lifting off of the ground by sheer force.
But that wasn't all the monster did - as if in defiance of Kadbra trying to block out his destruction, Koramund fired off energy at the skyscrapers around. With a muttered curse, Kadbra altered the course of his flight, and, one after another, grabbed the hit parts of the building starting to collapse, setting them down on the street in ways that would probably not save everyone, but at least keep the collapsing buildings from destroying more around them. Right now, his speed was superior to Koramund's, which was the only reason why the demon was able to even interfere with this destruction and save people. He finally had enough of the blasphemy of his enemy, and dashed ahead of him, stopping in the air in front of Koramund#s flight path - with a sudden, quickly rising energy signature emitted from the demon.
"What is important, is the soul. You make victims out of innocent souls, you destroy their chance at life, and make them live in fear of you! I will NEVER accept a world with beings like you in it, Koramund!" With that, the rising energy crackled around Kadbra even more, collecting into his upper body, and finally, his head. "You are wrong, Koramund. No matter the perpetrator, senseless killing like this is always an act of evil, and I will always stand against it - against angels and devils, against the universe itself! I am the protector of innocent souls, that is what it means... TO BE A HERO!" And with that final shout, a huge wave of energy was fired from Kadbra's head, where his eyes would normally be, taking on the form of a huge ball of fast-flying, black energy, eating all the light around itself greedily, like the darkness of Koramund's own heart had turned on him and decided to throw itself against him. If this ball of energy made contact with the mutant, it would cause a huge impact on him, like an impacting meteor strike right into his body - even if he was able to heal, he'd probably not enjoy such a powerful move thrown right into his face.

Koramund watched the metallic beast fly at him. This bastard just keeps on coming! He watched the beast curse, keeping the buildings from falling. Hm, he had enough of this stupidity. The daemon wanted a fight? THEN HAVE AT THEE! From his forearms and forelegs, his heavy weights would fly backwards like projectiles to try and hit Kadbra, but that was not his main intention. His power shot up by four times, his glowing eyes giving off his sense of power. The mutant said, "Do we heroes and villains always speech? It is interesting do not get me wrong, but it seems like we do it to often no?" He watched the Hero say that he would not accept a world where he lived, and that was a riot.
Koramund said, "How pathetic! The Daemon says that I should not exist? The human species is over-populated and slaughters both itself and millions upon millions of animals each year. Will I destroy the species? No... Will I hurt you? Most likely- Correction. 100% probability to fight you. Shall we?" Koramund began screaming, creating four pitch black orbs vibrating and resonating to the very natural world. He put his left hand over his heart, gripping it with his right. His eyes turned light blue, with crimson slits as pupils. He breathed out ki, forming a massive white hole, that split into four white bubbles that entrapped the other black orbs. They became full, both flying around and daemonically absorbing all the love and hatred Koramund held. The orbs fused into a massive sphere like the Super Nova, held just barely above the mutant's head.
Koramund laughed insanely, the ground itself rumbling in his wake. This orb of rebirth would reform all that it destroyed, so the more fuel for the fire, the more smoke essentially! The ball of fast-flying black energy zoomed towards him, but to its uselessness it was absorbed by the giant sphere. The power levels were clear, his sphere was 16.6, while his mighty orb was a whole 28.8! The orb would have only 12.2 worth of power level before it hit, but that was alright. The massive sphere would impale the Earth, exploding, absorbing the street and sky-scrappers around them. The small zone they were in would then flash, as the explosion went backwards, and reformed the world. Koramund laughed as the sphere was not intended to stop Kadbra, but to destroy a part of the city!
Koramund lifted up a finger, and almost to his command a vulture landed on it. Koramund extended his entire arm outward, then his other arm, while a swam landed on his other arm. He said, "Life is the game of gods they said. But, with enough nitrogen and phosphorus, anything can be possible, oh yes." The animals flew away, the plant life around them was thick with very light green vegetation. Koramund looked at the plants, saying, "Oh no, this will not do. There is a large amount of green here. The color must be changed!" Koramund with a snap changed the color of the created plant life, turning it from green to a dark pitch black?! Koramund smiled, saying, "This type of plant life will absorb more light, increasing its productivity by almost 33%. Now then, you have seen my Symphony of Despair, show me what you got!" Koramund petted a crimson wolf that rubbed against his leg, giving off a satisfied snarl, almost in pleasure.
The creator of life, that was a nick name Koramund could get around. The mutant said, "If you must fight, let us look at numbers. I have just saved 16,000,000 or more animals and plants, even with this small amount of space. How many people are you saving here? A few thousand? I am saving over 100 TIMES more living beings then you! I am restoring the Earth to its perfected form, while you want a mechanical world where everything dies? If Humans keep on living, they will turn this planet into ash and dust! I will not let my home be killed, I will not let my children die, and I will not see you kill the innocent! Humans are sinful creatures, why do you think you naturally make all of this? Cities, weaponry, they wish to kill themselves and work under a ruler. Nature works by life itself, the very world's core. Nature is the most pure form of life, completely innocent because it was designed that way, and Humans kill more animals then Humans exist each year! TRILLIONS DIE IN NATURE! HUMANS DIE IN THE MILLIONS! I refuse this life where humanity kills for its own selfish reasons!"

Kadbra realized too late what Koramund was doing. The attack from the demon disappeared without effect into the energy ball, as the armored being smacked the weights thrown at him out of the air. The rushing energy from Koramund was so massive and oppressive that it nearly knocked him out of the air - so this was his full power. Soon, Kadbra would have to do the same - show his true, full strength, and smash this monster into the ground. Yet he felt something inside of him, a lingering doubt on his goal of destroying this being... for despite the darkness and evil within him, the demon could not sense the madness of darkness within him, not the true, pure malice of a true monster. But even that was something Kadbra realized too late.
"Koramund, STOP! Stop this madness!" shouted Kadbra, but it was too late. The orb exploded, taking a chunk of the city with it... only to reform it, a twisted, warped vision of reality and beauty, fake life rising in place of the true, pure life that had been here only moments before. What he saw momentarily stopped all words coming from the demon - slowly, the one clad in black floated downwards, landing on the black grass of this new, twisted plane, in a short distance in front of Koramund. Right as he landed, two heavy clouds began to block the red light of the Makyo Star, at least partially - with the heavy energy in the air subsiding slightly, together with some shadows from the vegetation, Koramund would be able to see the true form of Kadbra for a short moment - the tall being with light blue skin, deep blue, wild hair, two horns, and black eyes with yellow irises. The face of the demon under the helmet was not twisted in anger, or in disdain of his opponent... no, Kadbra looked sad, regretting what he now had to do to fulfill his own destiny.
"I think I understand you now, Koramund. What a sad life you must've had... How much sorrow there has to be within your soul." said Kadbra with a slightly choked voice. The anger had left him, together with his short purity of Makyo particles, but as the clouds started to part again, the true form of the demon was once again hidden behind armor - but before his transformation was complete again, the tall demon took his greatsword from his back with the right hand, holding the huge slab of black metal that was taller than him in his now armored form effortlessly. "The universe took your family from you, your friends... Even your real life. So now that everything has been taken from you, you seek a way out. I don't know why I understand that, but... Somehow, I do. As if somewhere deep within my own soul, your sadness resonated with something. You wish to recreate the world... You think yourself just and right. Yet all this life you create around us... Is fake. True life, true souls, can never be created by a living being - not even a Kaioshin can create true souls. These animals, these plants - they are a part of you, an extension of you. You hide in this forest of your own making, want to remake the world... all because you can not see the light that is still left within the world." Slowly, Kadbra raised up his blade, holding it with both hands upright, next to his body, in ready fighting position. "For every evil thing done by humans, one of them decides to do good without reward for themselves. I can see it within the people of this city - light and darkness, intertwined in endless dance. This world has existed for millennia, and it will continue existing - for humans are too good, too decent of a species, to ever truly make it a wasteland. This world, Earth... is a world of light, even if you can't see it. Beings die and beings are born, all are part of a circle, a balance on this planet and all other planets, one that has to be protected. I wish to help you, Koramund - but you have killed too many. I have to stop you, do you understand?" With a heavy sigh, Kadbra's energy levels suddenly spiked upwards, black lightning crackling over his armor. "I shall help you... Cast Off those sins." Another sudden flash of black energy, and, at the same time, the weights on his arms, legs and waist cracked open - their locks opened by the spike of power, crashing into the ground with a heavy impact telling of their true weight, and with that, the full, terrible power of Makyo Kadbra was revealed to the world.
"In another life, Koramund... we could've been allies. Maybe even friends." And with that final, somber note, Kadbra's fully spiked energy changed - from pure black, to black interlaced with white and silver dots, like stars in the blackest of nights. For it was always darkest, right before the dawn.
Dashing forward, Kadbra brought the sword at his side down in a vertical slash, aiming to cut Koramund clean in half if it hit. The speed and power were unreal compared to just moments before - even if Koramund dodged this, his creation around them would take damage from this slash. This was the fate of the demon, to destroy. What would happen if his fate clashed with the one who wished to become a god of his own world? Who would history determine to be the hero, and who would be the villain? The oldest story in the book, about to be retold in this age.

Koramund laughed, the blade slashing him perfectly in half. His body floated apart, both eyes still locked on Kadbra, when the flesh unleashed tendrils and just molded back together. Koramund used his turn to regenerate, his flesh bubbling and reform his dreaded form. He said, "You know, unfortunately I must tell you the truth. I play the game of life, whenever someone dies of no need, it infuriates me, yes. So, what does that mean? I will do you a favor, watch my skill." Koramund snapped, his giant tree started to quiver, and melt into flesh. The flesh molded into the shape of the buildings, but the one thing that might shock Kadbra the most, were humans in pods! Koramund looked to Kadbra, saying, "Currently with my power level I can regenerate twice within a hour or two. However, let us get back to the subject at hand. It is nearly impossible to kill me, to be honest, I did not even need to regenerate that attack, I could have phased through it, hell even you." Koramund flew straight through Kadbra, his body turning to liquid, yet phasing through Kadbra like space itself. He would reform, and finish his speech.
"How many have I killed so far? A few hundreds, and I do not intend to kill everyone until I see the proper view. But this beauty around me, think of me as Nature's prophet almost, I want to help the world be better. But unfortunately, I must take my leave. Open up all the pods, and put them into their beds, I can see what was destroyed. My flesh will transform into concrete, steel, wood, anything, and will harden once the pods are all finished. They never did truly die, they were just remade. Now if you excuse me, this cut was not fully regenerated, and I need to seek out something soon." The mutant that hungered was humbled a little, but it was fun so sow chaos. He would only kill those that HAD to die, and in that situation, they did not have to, just seem to. It was a much greater effect for himself if they lived, so why let them die? Within the next ten minutes the flesh and pods would naturally turn to normal, and the humans would wake within a hour or two. Hell he made the place a little nicer, but it was Kadbra who had the final say. The fact just was, he was insane, all his emotions took over whenever they pleased. Now, he was happy, but soon he would fall to rage once again and relive this brutal fantasy. He had to embrace it, but now, he could at least keep a wish while he was still here.

Once again, Kadbra was speechless by what Koramund did. The people... survived? Then why did he destroy part of the city? Just to mess with the demon? Or was this just another symptom of the crazy, unhinged nature of the mutant? No matter what, these people needed to be freed of these pods and cared for until they woke up - continuing to fight Koramund at this point would be a useless thing to do, especially since he felt no hostility from the being by now. Without saying a word, Kadbra returned his massive blade to his back, where it disappeared into his armor, melding away into the black steel that made up a majority of his body in this form.
The demon listened to Koramund's farewells, now once again without any facial expressions visible, but he was relieved that he could stop this madness of combat that served no purpose. The mutant was a killer, yes... But also someone trapped in his own mind, twisted by his past, and tortured by it. But as Koramund attempted to leave, the demon spoke up again. "You are not evil - at least, not fully. There is light still within your soul and your heart, something besides hate. You can beat it, this madness, this confusion. You can make amends for what you have done." Those were the parting words that Kadbra gave to the strange, twisted being known as Koramund. "Hold onto hope, onto your own light, and you might really become nature's prophet - someone who can see life for the precious thing it is."
With those parting words, Kadbra walked back to the spot where he dropped his weights earlier, picking them up and attaching them to his body again - since he had no ability to suppress his own power, using his weights was the only way he knew to suppress the immense power of the red star in the sky, to make sure he didn't accidentally kill the humans he was trying to protect. With Koramund's 'defeat' and retreat, this battle was over for now, and the West Capitol would get a slight breather for once. Until the Makyo Star's light faded in a few days, Kadbra would stay here - to make sure Koramund or another being like him didn't in a fit of rage actually destroy it. That was a good use for this dark power filling him, as his Ki aura returned to pure black once more, and he prepared to take care of the people about to be released from their strange pods.
But one question remained for Kadbra... Why did the sadness in Koramund resonate so much with the blue demon? Just why did he know it himself, when his earliest memory was within the Demon Realm - where he never had anyone to lose?
