Bing smiled warmly at the goat. Chai was worried for a second there, it seemed. "Don't worry, kid. I've been through a lot worse."His focus quickly returned to the two demons ahead of him, and his hand changed formation. Rather than leaving a single finger to aim, his Ki divided to both his middle and index fingers. His peace-sign served to keep track of both Dantalion and Mammon, should the need arise. As things were looking now, though, Pieter was looking to get a hold of the situation on one of these two fools. Mammon was grounded, but not before he tried to pick away at Bing's resolve. His mention of hearts being ripped from their homes gave Bing pause for just a moment. It was almost like the Demon knew how Zerori's life ended. Had he been there? No. It was coincidence. Besides, it wasn't like it mattered. Bing paid for that sin already. The cocky smile that had briefly faded returned, and as Mammon's Ki grew, "You've got bad eyes, Mammon. There's a big difference between us. You let your hate control you-- it feeds off of your inability to control it, and drives you to do the foul deeds you commit. In the end you'll always lose, because you're not the one pulling your own strings."In the next moment, a powerful wave of vile Ki exploded outward from behind Bing. He turned just in time to see a wall of energy spilling toward him and his allies. He wouldn't be able to protect everyone-- not unless he wanted to lose the advantage he had still brewing in his fingers. As the wave pushed closer, Bing shifted his body, pushing back against it with his armless shoulder as the brace. The blast stung his body harshly, and had it not been for his wounds being healed, he would surely have fallen to this attack. As it shoved forward, trying its hardest to eliminate him and move one, Bing launched his foot forward, shattering the incoming wall before it could reach Pieter. The rest of his friends had been assaulted by the wave long before it hit Bing, so their fates were still unknown, but at the very least one of his friends was alright. Part of him wished he had more time so he could check on not only his allies, but Kaza. An attack like that doesn't come from someone trying to win a fight. He glanced down at his hand, and sighed. Luckily his Ki hadn't fizzled in that moment. The twin orbs crackled and expanded at the tips of his fingers, each reaching the size of a ping pong ball. Suffering from new burns, Bing turned back to Mammon, cocking his head to the side just slightly as he aimed down the "sights" of his finger-gun. "Pieter! I need you to focus on the beastly one! I can handle ol' Big Bad and Horny over here by myself."

"You've WHAT." Chai briefly resounded when Bing mentioned going through worse than this. But hey, it wasn't like he lost his arm five times before this, right? Yet he wasn't one to pry, having gone through scenarios worse than this in the past as well. Before he could make another remark, surging ki invaded his senses. Already, Mammon and Dantallion had regained their energy and began to prepare attacks nearly as devastating as before. Bing expertly countered Mammon's accusations, causing the goat to fold his arms and nod as his friend struck back at the demon with words. For a moment after, the goat focused in on Dantallion- he seemed to be quite peeved that he wasn't in the spotlight.
He grimaced again at the destruction caused by the three fiends. The dead saiyan corpse with the shattered skull beside Dant didn't help Chai's stomach either... "Hey, Dantallion?" Chai called from his position. His smile faded, and the goat's eyes drifted to the side. "As much as I still want to help you be better than this, I..."He bit his lip, shaking his head. "...Just, uh, let me know if this hurts."
And with that, Chai's ki festered into a smooth, steeled chakram of energy, swirling and sparkling with every color. The zoan could only reason with one of these guys at a time, and he couldn't have the two demons try another planet-bust again. Chai swung his forearm forwards, causing the attack to curve towards the weaker of the two demons. With Dantallion's charging attack, the goat could only presume that they would meet and fizzle. At least he wouldn't be able to pull a stunt like that a third time, right?
...Maybe after this, they could chat over some snacks and a Baotendo game. Maybe they could still work this out.
Wishful thinking, Chai's conscious echoed, to which the goat ignored. After he launched his attack and caught his breath, the zoan's eyes trailed to Pracross, who was confronting Kaza. As his friend spoke, the majin's resolve slowly crippled with doubt and... Fear? Sadness? It was hard for Chai to pinpoint. Still, the zoan smiled wide, flicking a tear away from his eye. Really, he couldn't be more proud of Pracross after this. His first field test was passed with flying colors.
And then came the question; Why not be happy? Chai couldn't think of an answer himself, and neither could Kaza. For a moment, his eyes locked with her wide, fearful gaze. The goat let out a soft gasp, his own gaze widening. Somehow Pracross managed to reach out to her! Yet, that fear, that forlorn despair in Kaza's eyes... He knew he had been close to there once before.
'Maybe, just maybe...'
What Chai didn't expect though was for Kaza to rear her head again with one, final, desperate attempt to purge the group's good. Bing tanked his attack and quickly dashed off to protect Pieter, whom had stupidly charged Mammon. The zoan crossed his arms, closing his eyes and merely bracing for impact now that he was out of stamina, teeth grit with apprehension.
A crackle of electricity resounded. Streaks of sparkling blue lighting split and countered both of Kaza's attacks towards dear Chai and Pracross. A crackle echoed from behind the white-furred warrior before a breath puffed down the goat's neck. HOOK, whom everyone somehow forgot about, managed to stop both attacks. The robot grinned toothily, tail waggling with pride. Chai beamed, giving his robot partner a thumbs up before returning to the battlefield, with a very risky and probably stupid hopeful plan in mind.
Briefly darting over beside Pracross, Chai would rest a hand on his pupil's shoulder. "Hey, kid." The zoanthrope rang with a winning smile. "You did great! I really can't be prouder of you." He raised his hand to ruffle the younger saiyan's hair. His gaze drifted to Kaza, smile fading quick. "We're almost there, thanks to you. I'll..." A brief pause. The zoan sucked in a breath with an indistinguishable emotion. Fear? Uncertainty? "Whatever you do, don't worry about me. You and I can lay the final nail down to free this poor Majin here." With a quick salute, Chai would turn around and hover towards the broken and battered Kaza.
"Howdy." A familiar, still resolutely hopeful voice echoed in Kaza's ears. Chai's own fur and ears waved about slowly in the howling black winds. Silence took hold for a moment, nothing but the wind and crackling of the fire coursing across the city in earshot. Chai briefly examined the majin, ending with a sigh. "...My student here summed up most of my thoughts. He's nice, ain't he?" He briefly gestured to Pracross with a smile.
"I... I'm so sorry the world was so cruel towards you. I'm so sorry that nobody did anything. I... I wish I could have done something-- anything." Chai's gaze trailed down for a moment before his softened eyes locked back onto the majin. He still didn't know her name, actually. Nonetheless, he continued. "...It sucked a lot back then- and maybe now also. Didn't it?"
By now, should Kaza not make any moves, Chai would float beside her, sitting in the air in an invisble chair. Tentatively, he'd try to put a hand on the suffering majin's shoulder. "I-- I just want to show you something. You can kill me after if you want. Okay? Sound good?" Chai offered, reaching into the pocket of his trenchcoat as his energy dropped down to minimal levels- Kaza could now kill him with a swat of her hand if she wanted to. A small, green book with worn golden bindings rested in the zoan's hand. This little journal was one of his last keepsakes from his own universe.
"So, uh, that's me there." Chai opened the journal. On the first page, indistinguishable faded writing lied. On top of the blurred mess of words were photos, paper clipped to the page. The one the otherworldly zoan pointed to sported a much younger version of the goatman, smiling bright with his parents in front of a birthday cake, featuring a big candle with a "5" on it- his fifth birthday. "...Please ignore how gosh darn chunky I was also." Chai stuttered. Showing baby pictures was always so embarrassing! But, maybe showing Kaza all these good things could shine a little light into her darkened mind.
Chai flipped through a few more pages of his childhood memories. The little goat grew tall and strong, clearly. Slowly, in the photos, a smiling goatboy would age alongside his family. Another page was turned. ...His family wasn't to be seen in the next image.
The goat's smile faded. This picture showed a less cheerful Chai standing beside a proud man in a purple suit- his old mentor, Jax. No words were needed- the zoanthrope just flipped to the next page.
The next "saga" of pictures were from Chai's time in the Crimson Strikers. A taller, more formidable Chai in his twnties smiled, standing in a group photo with the rest of his squadron. "Oh! These guys were like, my besties. We were all kinda like this big ol' rebellion in a post-apocalyptic era, long story short. Just like the movies, yes." The goat explained, pointing a finger to the image. "That's Collan, and that's me there, and Rafar is right there, and there's Guardia, and..." He chuckled weakly. "You get the point, right?"
The next few pages had a few goofier pictures of Chai with his team. These were the good times that made Chai smile and wipe aside a single stray tear. There was one of the goat himself in a speeding shopping cart with Rafar, doing some sick tricks in the junkyard they commonly scavenged for parts with. Another one sported the team doing a little victory poses with an odd machine in the background. Little notes with all sorts of different handwriting dotted the pages- these were the Strikers exchanging notes. One sported the group arguing playfully over what to put on a shopping list, causing Chai to snicker.
Again, with a turn of a page, everyone vanished from the next photos.
Moving on still, the next picture was of a one-eyed Chai flashing a peace sign at a camera from his hospital bed, with Guardia in the corner taking the picture. More, recent pictures of Chai and his friends from this world dotted the page. Chai's smile was weak in the first few images, but slowly grew and grew to become wide- a winning smile of a restored soul. "...Yeah, my life used to suck hard also. I didn't have much hope to cling to." Chai concluded, inhaling slowly as he closed the little book. "But things are starting to get better for me, I guess?" He shrugged with a meek chuckle.
"I... I know I can't force you to change. But I really do hope you'll get better someday." He smiled again. Hope was hard to kill in this zoan. "And if you need someone to vent to, a shoulder to cry on, someone to play a round of Serpent Master EX with, or anything else, I'll be here for you." He'd attempt to give Kaza a gentle punch on her shoulder. "But I won't loose at Serpent Master. Best player, right here."
"You, uh... You just develop at your own pace, alright? For good or bad, I won't push anything from now on- it's a promise." Chai's smile faded with a sigh. His eyes trailed to the poor majin, softening. Well, it was now or never, wasn't it?
Chai's form lurched forwards, tears already bubbling in his eyes both from the feels trip he put himself through with his photo album, and only being able to watch as Kaza suffered. His arms were wrapped around her in a tight hug now, with the goat's head resting on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry you went through so much pain." He stuttered, somehow keeping a hint of composure. "I'm sorry your life was so hopeless. I-I never wanted anyone to suffer like this, and--" The hopeful soul concluded, only tightening his embrace. "But, I think- No, I know...""We can still have a happy ending."

The grab landed and they ripped through the buildings of Vegeta, terrifying those that were still inside them! Near the end, Pieter released unintentionally, Mammon coming to a stop. The demon looked at him and simply spoke down to him. Pieter's rage plumed to greater heights, as he roared at the Demon, "You're looking the wrong damn way, Demon!"Pieter lunged at the Demon, when a demented scream came from the Majin, garnering his attention quick. Bing, however, again got in the way of the blast, although Pieter could've taken it! The hunter grinned, looking back at the Demon, his muscles enlarging and his bones cracking with the enlarged mass. "The wolf is at your door. Its breath heavy, feeling it's preys beating veins in the cold air. It knows you've harmed its pack and it is here for revenge! The first to go will be your arms!"The hunter's energy became electric with his mass enlargement. He looked like a Mayan god just about to lay punishment on their followers for disobeying them with his gold and bronze exterior! Pieter wasn't letting this guy live... The slaughter would end today! His final words seemed to ring for miles with how silent the Majin became. It was one of the few times she had done so, which almost made the boy worry when she looked into his eyes. They were sorrowful, cold... they needed help. The Majin opened her mouth to find a sound that made Pracross hurt on the inside once more. "I CAN'T" the sound so demonic and raspy, yet traces of hopelessness remained. "I'M SORRY" was the next thing she said, making the Saiyan in spiral doubt himself, but he knew it couldn't have been him. Was she... Opening up? And with one big wave, a surge of ki blasted towards everyone, enough to kill Pracross in an instant. The Saiyan pulled up his arms and braced for impact, knowing well that he wouldn't survive. With a moment passing, he only felt heat. His body was together still, so the heat obviously wasn't his disintegration. An eye opened, then two, as a beam of electricity had neutralized the attack meant for him. Pracross looked over to his side to see the robot, smiling big like a dog getting it's belly rubbed. "What a good boy..." he muttered before feeling a familiar grasp on his shoulder... "Chai." Pracross could only feel uncertain now, though his eye set desperation. He felt like he had caused the Majin to break out again, seeking to some kind of revenge, even if it was worded in such strange means, but that wasn't the case. His mentor was not frowning, but smiling. Chai ruffled the Saiyan's hair and told him he has done good. In fact, he thanked him for doing so much "damage" to the Majin that now she might truly be able to open up. What followed scared Pracross almost to death as the Zoanthrope flew up to the Majin and... opened a scrap book and hugged the Majin. As much as Pracross loved his goat friend, this was beyond crazy. The Majin just unleashed a crazy blow to try and injure everyone, which would've killed at least the Saiyan had it not been for HOOK, and even then, Chai probably would've taken it and been killed in the Saiyan's place, resulting ultimately in 2 deaths on the defender's side.
Pracross returned from his thoughts as a new splash of golden light brightened up the city. Pieter was even stronger now, or at least that's how it seemed with the new glow. His bulking body definitely gave off some signs of danger. The Saiyan really wished he owned a scouter now. Such power like that must be crazy... The attention of Pracross was now to Bing. The Human had taken two of the falling shots. I should take medical classes to see if I cann learn to heal those burns... thought Pracross. It was the certainly one of the few things he could do.
Pracross looked at his own wounds and compared them to the injuries of the others... Pieter had a gash in his chest and a few stains of blood. Bing had taken the strikes of a concrete pillar and two gigantic waves of destruction, managing to somehow recover. Now, he had burns on his back. Chai had blood in his fur from taking that hit for him earlier, a hit that would certainly hurt anyone if it had cut into his veins. And then there was Pracross, who had gotten hurt by the rocks on the ground when crawling around and a cut on his leg from the concrete pillar tossed near him. It hurt like hell. It was pathetic... and he knew it.
The Saiyan sighed and shook his head. "No, you're not pathetic... You're stronger in different ways that physically..." he said to himself. He wasn't much different than anyone here. He'd been through loss, anger... fatal mistakes... this was his time to prove in some fashion that he could help... He could help Chai with the Majin! Bing with his wounds! Pieter with his fight! He didn't know how, but he was going to. But where to start? Pracross unsheathed the scythe on his back and looked at it, before whispering. "Configuration 5" he spoke, the scythe taking a new form unpracticed much. The Spear Configuration, yet it wasn't to be used, just to be put aside as an emergency.
Now, how could he help...? For now, he waits, staring up at the goat. "Don't go dying on me..." he whispered, the hug setting only constant fear of his mentor's injury.

Everything was going to hell in a handbasket, except he had lost the handbasket half way down and now he had no pact lunch to keep him company. And that god damn dog wouldn't stop barking, his patience was running thin and he was going to take Old Yeller out back and put two shots in the back of the head to shut him up. "Look dog, I don't know if you got a complex cause you're the runt of the litter or something, but I don't have to play with you. So beat it pup." and to top it all off Kaza, had gone all mushy again, it was so hard to find good help nowadays.
"My hate controls me," hate, Hate, HATE! "you should let yours. Its a better driver, can that logic of yours experience the dying breath of a planet, to know everything that could've been or had been suddenly vanishing in a pale flash of light." he wrapped his arm's around himself in a lover's embrace. "Hate gets things done, hate feels good, hate is passion."
"And I'm a very passionate guy."
It was time to do damage repair, he couldn't have his smoking gun jamming when he needed it the most. "Kaza, my little bubblegum girl. Pull it together, you don't actually think there's forgiveness do you?" there could never be. "You killed their people, you pulled down their city and you're now crying in their ruins feeling sorry for yourself, while people are drowning in the rubble." he brought his hand to his neck and made a choking sound, before laughing. "It would be funny if it weren't so sad, but do you think they'll be there after all this, with an ice cream cone with two scoops of forgiveness and sprinkling of redemption. Life ain't that simple, life ain't that kind."
Gone all the sadness, gone all the regret. He melted it down and forged a blade from it, tempered the blade with self-pity, he could do no wrong. After all, he felt sorry, it just was for himself. "If you stop now, can you have the audacity to look them in the eye's and say sorry, sorry I killed your child, sorry I killed your husband like that will bring them back. What is their killer's remorse worth." he held up a hand and made an O with thumb and forefinger. "Zero, nothing."
"So, let's get back to what we were doing." it had become a thin blanket at this point, bugs were now crawling on his face in black shiny sheets, moving over his lip's and into his mouth, some were hanging out on his eye forcing him to close one as they adjusted themselves 'bzz' 'bzz'. "Killing."

It was like something was trying to break free from her skin. As if a set of cold, thin fingers grasped her heart from behind, squeezing it tightly. It hurt, it hurt so- SO much.
It controlled her, it made her act- made her feel. Hatred.
She had no grasp on it anymore, not even could she control her own emotions or actions. Everything she did spawned from hatred, from fear, from envy. All Kaza wanted was to be alone with her agony- yet she couldn’t.
Silently she collapsed onto the cold concrete, surrounded by an empty, smoldering crater. A somewhat sad display of what she truly was. Alone, exhausted and scared, covered by nothing but her own destruction.
She felt weak, hopeless...So, SO tired. Kaza was on the verge of breaking down, but then…
''Howdy.’’
A calm voice, followed by a shadow that loomed over her. She silently looked up, only to see the gentle face of the Zoan. The darkness within her pushed to attack, yet it too was tired. Too exhausted to lash out, even to stand up, or to speak.
The Earthling spoke to her. That Saiyan- his student… ''Mmh…’’ Was he nice? If Kaza had to be honest, yes...He was. But honesty was a facade in her mind, everything twisted itself into a dark, self-fulfilling prophecy, and there was nothing she could do about it.
The world was indeed cruel; too cruel. Kaza’s gaze quickly averted. Would it ever end? An anxious look tugged at her expression.
He wanted to...Show her something? At this point, what did she have to lose? Her life? Not like it mattered... ’’Fine.’’ She let out softly, slowly moving her gaze toward him.
Chai was quick to show her a small, green journal. The small book opened, and Kaza was met with...His backstory- his life. First, she saw him, still a child. His parents were there, everyone was happy and content. In an instant Kaza was reminded of her lack of a family. A sharp pain dug deep into her heart, and she slowly breathed in. Pages turned, and Kaza was unsure why she was so focused on his story. All it did was fuel her envy; why couldn’t she have a family? Have memories? ...But then, the page turned again, and his parents were gone. The pressure on her heart intensified. She stayed silent. The page turned, and Kaza was met with a new group of faces, the Zoan’s friends. Surrounded by destruction and misery, yet they all smiled. Her eyes slowly traveled to each of their faces, letting each of them sink into her mind before moving to the next. Slowly but surely, Kaza began to understand more and more of his life, his loss. It was like she was being read a story, one she could relate to. If only she had a warm blanket to huddle under, and not the cold concrete. If only she had warmth. With another turn of the page, the hope and smiles disappeared, along with his friends. The weight on her soul made it difficult to breathe. She remained silent. They had disappeared, presumed dead to Kaza. Yet the last she saw of them, were their smiles. Was this hope? To keep smiling no matter what you went through? Kaza took a small glimpse at the Zoan- he too, smiled. Suddenly, Kaza was reminded of her own past, the photo she burned. She had a smile on her face- but she burned that memory. Why did she burn it? Her eyes began to water. Pages flipped, and the last she saw of the Zoan was him, slowly regaining the smile he carried with him. The smile burned itself into her mind, a foreign feeling starting to creep into her heart. A lump formed in her throat as the book closed, and she was dragged back to reality. She took a small glimpse at the Zoan, and as she saw him next to her, it was then that she realized something. He was the person she truly wanted to be. The type of person she fought for to stay, yet couldn’t. There stories were much of the same, yet branched off at some point. Where Chai had friends and family to support him, Kaza pushed that help aside- someone strong didn’t need help, right? Yet now...She was alone, with no one there for her.Her head sagged down, fists shaking over her lap. Tears welled in her eyes, and her lips started to quiver. Only now did she realize how truly alone she was...And how much she hated it. ''I'll be here for you.''
Until now.
She felt his fist gently nudge her shoulder. Kaza’s shell cracked a little more, yet her stubborn will kept her from accepting it. A lone tear fell onto the concrete. Chai spoke of something- something that struck a vague familiarity within her...Serpent Master. Slowly, her shaky breath stopped, and her mouth opened with a weak croak. ''I...I loved that game…''Memories of sleepless nights flooded back. Virtual battles that kept her at the edge of her seat, sessions of trash talking ‘noobs’, and shouts of victory that woke up the entire apartment complex. A time so simple...A time where she was happy. If only she could return. ‘’So why not start now? You can make memories, you can be happy!’’ The Saiyan’s words echoed into her mind. ...Another tear streamed down her cheek. All went to silence, and her eyes shut tightly. Her teeth bit down hard, harder than ever, trying so desperately to contain her emotions. It was difficult- so, so difficult. ...But then, something happened that snapped her out of her focus. A heavy weight that suddenly tossed itself onto Kaza, firm, but gentle. She opened her eyes, only to see Chai embracing her in desperation. It was like...She finally found it. People that cared for her. People that wanted her to be happy.
She found...Warmth.
Her shell finally cracked open and shattered into a thousand fragments. Quivering lips shook before separating, letting out a ragged, high-pitched breath, before she finally broke down. Tears flung from her eyes as she finally let it all out. Cries filled the air that didn’t seem to stop. Like a child’s, long and loud. She cried, cried, and cried some more. All these tears that had been locked away for so long, Kaza could finally let them all out. Yet luckily, they were not ones of sadness, or misery. No, Kaza was finally understood; she found what she was truly looking for. She was...Happy.
Kaza has given up on fighting.

Post by Dantalion on Oct 30, 2017 1:20:54 GMT
He turned with the creak that came with being half the size of a Skyscraper, a hundred planes flowing around him, their numbers doubling as they formed from the portal into reality Dantalion looking Chai up and down as unstitched flesh rolled from his mouth, a curled smile rolling as he spoke, before dropping down with widened eyes. "Shit! You lumbering oof do something!" Abyzou screamed twisting in the flesh in a futile attempt to break free, only for the flesh to peel over him in a wave of grey. "Didn't think I was worth saving huh? Don't worry. I ain't as important anyway." A sense of calm to the gutter beast, his words rolled with defiance, he wasn't going to change. What was with that Kaza. Getting sappy over a few words poured out. Maybe they just weren't villain material if a few sob stories were the sort of eye opener that could snap them out of it.
But he couldn't worry about that, he watched as the Chakrams darted towards him with a sheen of light, Dantalion's lips unfurling with malice as he directed his squadron into a full-fledged assault straight for Chai. Could he beat them? Did he have the power? He had no idea, sure Mammon said he could beat him, but how long did he have those Chakrams under wraps for? And it wasn't like Mammon was much in the business of telling the Truth anyway. No, there was something better to utilize his attack for. Something far more fire. He rose a finger, aiming straight for the Chakrams, the squadron quickly manned up, sounding sirens as what looked like Tiny Demon's rode them, hands waving around with frantic madness cowboy hats as if they were coming for the last ride. They were. Damned souls were going on a suicide run but hell, Dantalion came here with that in mind. They flew with genuine grace, swapping between aerial patterns before hitting the very tip of the Chakrams, before dropping down with gleeful passion. He wasn't a fair man, and maybe this one would be the air control to destroy the planet. Hell, the White Haired Wonder was too busy dealing with Mammon, that.... Stick boy was there, and the Wolfman was too busy showing his fangs off to Mammon. Being in the spotlight was meant to give him the chance he needed to destroy the planet, and this was hopefully going to be the chance. But it wasn't.
He let loose a sigh, resigned to Abyzou though the bugger couldn't speak. "This is how it ends buddy. Don't worry. When this is all over." He said, the Chromatic Chakrams impaling through his body, the things were tiny in comparison but they tore his body asunder like a maggot eating through rotted flesh as his body was tossed upwards from the force, what could be measured as a quantum fuckload of pain ran his body rampant, a guttural scream echoed and ruptured the air as the fake imprint Makyo began to twist and concave, bending and corrupting in movement as a sheen of purple ran through his skin as if following the tectonic plates of a planet, whatever flesh was left he was getting rid of, purging himself of the sinful flesh as unconsciousness was on the cusp of taking over.
"Spare him his life from this monstrosity," Azbyzou said, quoting some old song with spiteful hate as Dantalion's eyes went white, Abyzou breaking free from the shackles of flesh to watch as he went through the stages, first went Destruction king, than came Daimao, his features back to gaunt and torn before even those split and separated from reality, leaving all that was left was in comparison to all that something tiny, a small red beast with bone for a face, along smile drawn on its face as it landed with a crack on the rubble, body uncomfortably twisted as Azyou sat on his chest, hand propping up his chin as he looked with dismay. "So this is why you never wanted to fight. You knew that the villains of the story were coming out on top no matter how hard you tried." Azbbyzou sighed, pressing his book on his chest as he laid out sprawled, looking at the light of Makyo as it graced the duo with its light, Abyzou done nothing more than waiting for the inevitable, whether that was the planet going up in a ball of fiery fury, or one of the Saiyan soldiers strangling him to death, only time was going to tell.

A heavy weight fell on Bing's heart when he heard Mammon speak. He knew exactly what the Demon was talking about; he'd felt it before. He'd fallen victim to its whims before. In a roundabout way, maybe they really were alike. "Trust me, I know the feeling you're describing, and I would never want to experience it again. I'll make sure nobody else ever has to experience that feeling; neither a victim nor the perpetrator."In all the scuffle, it seemed one thing went right for the heroes. Kaza, the Majin, had finally given up. Whether this was a permanent change or not was unsure, but for now at least it was a welcome alteration. Hopefully she would be able to make up for her sins in the coming days, but if not? Well, Majins did live a long time. Another explosion of magically-infused Ki, and Bing's senses tingled again. He jerked his head to the side, watching a squadron of paper airplanes square off against one of Chai's own attacks... Only, they didn't exactly make contact. Instead, the airplanes dipped down at the last second, making a beeline for the planet itself! Bing groaned, and felt unease bubbling from where his arm once was. "Dammit..."A burst of Ki, and Bing was off to the races. He charged through the air, eyes locked firmly on that wave of paper bearing down toward the planet like a squadron of drills. He would never make it in time, not unless... He turned in mid-air, finger-gun aimed square at Mammon, who was quickly shrinking as Bing flew the opposite direction. He closed one eye, and, with a slightly shaky aim, his thumb came down. "CRANE'S END!" A massive wave of bright crimson Ki exploded from his index finger, propelling him backwards with immense force. As his blast tore through the air to knock Mammon down a peg, Bing spun his body around, eyes glaring at Dantalion's attack. The extra speed from his attack was just enough to get him in the cross-fire, but that didn't mean he actually had a plan to stop these things. With another burst of Ki, his momentum came to a halt in mid-air. He splayed his body out once more-- this time with decidedly less arm-- and waited, though not for long. The planes tore into him, each one slicing through skin and cloth like it was water. Each passing bit of paper cut through him, and although most continued past him, their energy had been spent pushing past the Ex-Kami, leaving them as little more than actual paper. They hit the ground with a unceremonious thud, each of them sticking into the ground not unlike an arrow. "Damn... I hate papercuts."He floated upright, rolling his neck as he plucked a paper airplane out of shoulder. There were bits of paper sticking out of a lot of places, and it stung like hell, but at least he didn't lose an arm this time. In all the commotion, Dantalion had been knocked out of the sky by Chai. Bing turned to the goat, who seemed to be hugging it out with Kaza, and gave a thumbs up. With the Dan situation all covered up, he turned back to Mammon. He still wasn't sure of the Demon's fate, but he hoped it would be over. Regardless, he needed to be ready for anything, so with what little energy he had left, he began to float back towards Mammon. "I really hope he doesn't fire at the planet again," he worried desperately.

A few moments of silence passed as Chai tightened his embrace upon Kaza. For a moment, the bright sun above seemed to pierce the darkened clouds of combat, shining down onto the land below, and onto the two suffering warriors. Chai almost forgot there was still a fight to win! His heart pounded in those few moments of quiet anxiety. Either he'd die in the next few seconds, or make a brand new friend... The goatman sincerely hoped it was the latter.
Mammon briefly tried to whisk Kaza back to the dark side, telling the two how there would be no forgiveness. Would there? The otherworldy wclosed his eyes, wondering if his friends back home would ever forgive him for abandoning them... But that wasn't all that important right now. "I-- I forgive you. It's gonna be okay." Chai quickly retorted, eyes drifting back to the petite majin, who began to finally break down and come out of her shell. He was taken aback by her sobbing at first, but slowly, a smile creeped across the zoanthrope's face.
'I did it-- I did it! I actually did it!' Chai's conscious echoed as a wide smile formed across his face, coupled with sparkling eyes. His internal celebration was justified- this was a HUGE milestone! Helping the hopeless was not a impossible endeavor. He could help Kaza. So... Could he help his universe now? Was he finally ready? Probably. Chai felt like he could take on the whole world. Tears of silent joy streamed down his face with a winning smile creeping across, just like in the final photos of his little journal.
Chai wiped a few stray drops away from his eyes, his vision drifting to Mammon and his charging attack. The goat and his mentor seemed to be worrying about the same thing, though... "Uh, miss majin?" Chai briefly resounded, pulling his torso away from her, but keeping his arms on her shoulders. "I'll, uh, be right back. Gotta just... Make sure nobody dies or anything. Alright? I'll be back, I promise. We're cool. We're gonna be just fine." Chai tried to reassure his new, albeit broken friend. He smiled again, briefly pulling in for another, quick hug. "So don't worry about me too much, alright?"
"Pracross! Dude!" Chai called, waving his friend over. "Can you, uh, take my place here for a minute?" Chai smiled meekly, hoping he wasn't asking too much.
Hesitantly pulling away from Kaza regardless of how Pracross took the goatman's request, Chai would turn around just as the broken Dantallion fired his attack. The goat grimaced, though Bing's quick thinking saved the day once more. If anyone was the hero today, it was the Serpent Master for sure. Chai's eyes trailed to Mammon as Bing's attack soared towards the demon. What if he tried the same thing Dantallion did? Chai believed in Bing a lot, sure, but he doubted his mentor could take another big hitter.
...That was a bullet Chai was willing to take, though.
Taking off into the sky at a breakneck pace, Chai reached into his shirt pocket as he flew towards Mammon. Everyone else did this already, basically. Popping a ripe, green senzu into his mouth and swallowing, A rejuvinated Chai would use every ounce of his energy rush past Bing's Crane's End attack, flipping around and stopping behind Mammon.
Soon enough, the demon would feel a pair of arms wrap around his neck in a tight sleeper hold, intent on tearing his focus away from his charging attack. "You're done here, Mammon. I can't say I didn't give you a chance." Chai spoke, closing his eyes as the Serpent Master's attack hurled towards the two of them. With the right timing and luck, Chai hoped he'd be able to rocket off before it bled through to damage the goat himself as well, but for now... "Just sleep it off."

Was Bing attempting to discourage Pieter from being whom he was? This was a Demon, unlike Maeve! This was someone who was trying to cause chaos and death from everywhere he went! The attack the demon shot at the planet, on top of trying to attack the planet, again was sheer lunacy in its own right, and served to show that the demon wouldn't change. Pieter knew this, of all people! Pieter had seen destruction wrought from Demons like Mammon, and he knew the only way to do take care of them was annihilation... He'd died from one such entity, in disguise as a saiyan!
Pieter then realized something: When Mammon tried to attack the planet and Bing intercepted the attack, the former Kami was giving him the opportunity to end this demon. Of course! It all made sense now. Pieter, in this sense of certainty after Bing deflected the attack back toward Mammon, called out, "I'll make sure this one doesn't stand any longer, so these other two can be free! Keep them in check, Bing!"
Chai seemed to think the same thing, rushing towards Mammon and trying to get him into a sleeper hold. Put them to rest before the final blow was given! Of course, Pieter was only intending to dismember the demon's arms from his person! Energy needed a focal point and normally, the arms and legs were the straight to options for that. Pieter rushed forward at Mammon, hands outstretched and ready to grab and tear the demon's arms, so that he'd not be a threat anymore.
"This is the end of this!"
(Pieter rushes forward, thinking Chai and Bing, alike, are trying to keep Mammon in check with other two being subdued. If successful, Pieter will be ripping and searing Mammon's arms, so he's not dead. He did, afterall, say the arms were going first..!)

Pracross gasped as the Majin accepted the hug with tears. The moment was so sweet and calm... It made Pracross smile. Even in desperate times, there was hope. At first, he had doubted that statement, but now he could truly see that. He would have to thank Gira for her wisdom when he got back to Earth. It seemed that everything was coming into wraps... Even the attack sent out by Dantalion was stopped, once again by Bing. Yep, medical classes for sure... Guess I'll go to Kiraburu for that...There was only thing left to do and it was handle Mammon, but Bing or Pieter could handle it, right? Pracross walked over to Chai and Kaza, getting down on his knees and looking at the Majin with his own sad eyes. It... was odd, hearing someone else cry. It almost brought him to tears himself. He'd assumed now would be the time since tears were flowing from just about everyone. For a moment, Pracross stared at Bing and Pieter. Bing had launched an attack and Pieter was charging at Mammon. Chai seemed to notice to, which is why he asked the student to take his place before taking off. The second the goat removed his arms, Pracross followed the same fashion his mentor did. Pracross' power dropped as he wrapped his arms around the Majin, closing his eyes to comfort her. If he had any choice to be anywhere in the world right now, he'd choose to be here. He felt... Important, even if it was just a simple hug. Pracross smiled and let the prolonged tear finally drop to the soil below. "Everything is going to be better from here on out... I can promise you that." Everything was still... Everything was calm. Everything was... better now. Or that's what he thought, until he saw Chai holding Mammon in a headlock, Pieter about to unleash fury on the Demon. No, that couldn't be right... no... Pracross' head started to hurt as he felt everything about that was off. Why would Pieter be making an attempt to cut off the demon's arms?! What kind of monster... Pracross was shaking. No! This was supposed to resolve in less death! This can't happen! The Saiyan boy turned away and buried his face into the Majin's cloak, hiding from reality, hoping the Majin didn't mind to much for his worried state. | FIN |Mammon's PL: A Drawn Curtain GAIN BONUS: An Applause It had to end like this, there was no way it could end otherwise, it was how it was all written.
The rope swung into view and the gallows stood there as real as day, in fact far more real than anything he had ever seen before, but there was nothing for it, he'd tip his hat to the hangman and try for some memorable last words. "You know, life doesn't care what cards you draw, only that you play them." and darkness came on him like the oncoming train, right on time 'choo' 'choo', he'd have opened up his arm's to embrace it, he just couldn't. "And I'm all played out."
Let's look back at what led us here, it had started with the attack, my how that seemed a lifetime ago well to be precise eighteen days give or take. It had run the gamut and any moviegoer would be happy to stuff their fat faces for half an hour watching this, but he knew in his heart of hearts the critics would eat him alive. It had the heroic entrance, and sacrifice, there was betrayal and there was love, well, love of a sort. And there were worse ways to go out, after all, it's better to burn out than fade away.
The weight and warmth of Chai fell across him like an old familiar coat, as he wrapped an arm around his windpipe his attack broke apart like someone had turned the hose on a cloud of flies, the bugs dispersed and he was looking head-on at the barrel of the gun, Bing, powerless to even seek out that measure of petty revenge. And he'd tip his hat to the hangman, "You know, I don't regret any of this," The beam of light took him in the chest and crumbled him like a used tissue, snot and all. "not a single thing."
The blast bloomed out and hurtled towards him like God's own spear, taking him full on in the chest and spreading out in white searing pain, flesh bubbled under the heat, fat popped and sizzled, hair caught fire, and the moisture from his own eye's were pulled out and fed into that furnace.
There was a gap in his thought's where something should've been, like a frame clipped from a film reel. He was smashed against the ground, where he had been struck it had left red hot mark that looked like they would hurt, but he didn't feel it, he had gone through shock and passed out on the other side, he felt almost detached from this husk like the body wasn't even his, like he was just an impartial observer. That wasn't a good sign pain tells us we're alive, we have to worry when we don't feel it. "Ow-" and the dog showed his true colors or hyena. He felt the bone snap crackle and pop and the muscles give way like he was tearing through wet paper. "-iee. You know, your bark was still worse than your bite." he coughed blood and a bit of spittle dribbled out the side of his mouth, and the rope swung into view and he fell out, closing his eye's.
You are looking up at a darkened stage, there is a mechanical sound and the stage lights come on like two tiny suns, casting a sphere of warm oval light. "I'd like to thank you for all coming out this evening, and hope that you enjoyed it." a man steps out. "I know we enjoyed putting it on." They have their entrances and their exits.

Those brief moments were unprecedented to her. Happiness she thought impossible, emotions that had been locked away to her for years. A light at the end of the tunnel inside her heart. That dark, empty tunnel which laid littered with terrors and evils. Too long had she walked down that dark tunnel, never knowing when it would end. Never knowing when she'd find the sunshine once more. But now she knew, and she had found that light.
In that moment...Her darkness was vanquished. Kaza finally found the exit to the tunnel, her soul basking in the warm beams of sunlight once again. Birds chirped, grass rustled, and the air breezed by- she was free.
The tears ceased as Chai pulled away from her. The Majin finally opened her eyes once more, glistened with the last of her tears. The dark vortex in her eyes had disappeared, and was replaced with a hopeful white. The red had turned into a vibrant blue, like a clear summer sky.
''O-Okay,'' Kaza croaked, still shocked and unsure of her surroundings. Everything was happening so fast- so much was changing at such a rapid rate...She couldn't keep up.
Pulled in for one last quick embrace, Kaza lingered, hoping she could feel this warmth for just a bit longer. Her clear eyes fluttered absentmindedly, letting out a final calm breath as Chai left to continue the battle.
The Saiyan, Pracross, came to comfort her instead. She had calmed down significantly, with her mind slowly inching back to the reality of the situation, but nevertheless, she accepted the embrace without hesitation. To think something so simple could have so much impact...
She struggled to hold in one final tear, Kaza still couldn't quite believe it.
Her blue eyes closed slowly, a calm breath escaping her mouth. ''...Thank you.'' She muttered. Her voice was sincere and calm, many more words weren't needed. The message was clear, and even throughout this chaos, she found comfort.
A massive blast shocked the air, though, sending a massive shockwave throughout the city. Startled, Kaza's eyes snapped open, only to see the unconscious body of Dantalion, and then Mammon as he fell from the skies. It was grotesque, painful...And somewhere, she felt mercy for the Demon, no matter how dark he was.
''Hold on...I...Need to say goodbye.'' She croaked in guilt, pulling Pracross away before she stood up.
Slowly, but confidently, she walked over to Mammon as he rasped out his last breaths. He whined and croaked in unimaginable pain and agony- on the verge of death, but never truly fated to die. The Earthlings would never kill him, but perhaps...Perhaps a quick death was the more merciful choice.
She stood over his convulsing body, lips pulling back in guilt-filled disgust as she saw the Demon's flesh and skin bubble, pop, and tear.
''Mammon...-''
Kaza remained silent, but the Demon spoke to her, what would perhaps be their final words. ''You know, your bark was still worse than your bite...'' The words echoed through the silence. Kaza's eyes lowered with a pained pout, watching as the Demon's conscious faded. Once Mammon was gone, she finally spoke.
''...You were using me all along, weren't you, Mammon?'' Kaza spoke to him, hoping her words would reach him. Somewhere, somehow. ''You never truly cared for me...'' That was what she thought; Mammon was the closest thing she ever had to an ally, to a friend. But she only now realized the error in her ways. Nevertheless, ignorance is bliss, and somewhere, Kaza appreciated his company. ''But you were the only person that tolerated my existence, even when I was at my worst.'' The Majin swallowed, with her eyes closing.
''Thank you.''
After a brief silence, Kaza turned to face the Earthlings, not with malice, but with guilt. It was time for a real apology, and it was clear that she had trouble speaking the words.
''I...I'm so sorry...For everything...!'' Tears stained her eyes once again, teeth grit against themselves as she shivered. ''For all this destruction...All these people I killed...'' And they fell like a miniature waterfall, staining the already broken soil and concrete below her. Somewhere Kaza knew that a happy ending wouldn't be so easily realized. For them? Yes. But she...She was a murderer, a criminal beyond belief. Kaza knew she had to anwser for her crimes, and her crimes were plenty.
''Thank you all- for...For making me realize that hope exists...But I don’t deserve to be happy-''
Yet she had accepted that fact. Kaza knew that she couldn't get away from her past transgressions without consequence, and she'd accepted this fully. ''Not after robbing so many people of their happiness. I don't deserve it.''
Kaza wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at the group of heroes, her eyes wide with a hesitant determination. ''Whatever you decide to do with us, do it. Kill us, lock us up- we deserve it.''
Yet the weirdest of smiles creeped up on her face. A smile so gentle that one would never guess her to be a former mass murderer. One of such gratitude that she appeared to be the most innocent of people. ''...But first, can I know your names? I...Want something to remember you by.'' Kaza spoke clearly, gently moving a hand to her chest. Again, a pair of tears dropped from her clear blue eyes and trailed down her cheeks.
''I'm Kaza.''
Kaza's hatred has been vanquished!
Hateful Majin >> Hopeful Majin! Kaza officially surrenders, and accepts any punishment given to her.

At the end of every dark tunnel, there is a bright light. It doesn't always shine as brightly as you need it to, but it'll be there. And in the ruins of the Cacumber Capital, that light began shining. It wasn't from Bing and his stoic, protective energy. It wasn't from Chai and his hopeful attitude. No, it was from the villain turned repentant, Kaza. Bing smiled warmly at the Majin, floating down to the ground to meet her. The tears in her eyes were sincere, and the malicious nature of her Ki had dissipated. If she was faking it, she was a damn good actress. The Ex-Kami raised his still-present left hand, offering to shake Kaza's. "The name's Bing. It was a pleasure." Kaza's new outlook on life was admirable. She took the change from hate to hopefulness a lot smoother than Bing had. It made him a bit envious, honestly. "I don't think it's exactly our place to decide your punishment, Kaza. We might fight for peace and all, but we don't run Vegeta. I think we should defer to Habana when she gets back; let her pick your punishment."With introductions out of the way, the Serpent Master turned his attention to Dantalion and Mammon. They were unconscious, but they needed to do something more with the both of them. Prison wouldn't hold them; not even the fabled Knutts would be enough, he surmised. It wasn't his favorite idea, but ending their lives might save a lot of others in the near future. Bing slowly moved over to Dantalion, picking up the hulking beast and hoisting him over his shoulder. The Earthling strained under the weight, but the walk towards Mammon was short enough. Once he got close to Dan's companion, he tossed the snoozing body of the soul-eater down harshly, causing him to thud on the ground right next to Mammon's feet. He turned to Chai, then to Pieter, and spoke. "I know it's not exactly our place to decide their punishments, but I think we need to deal with these two now. There's no telling what scheme they could hatch while we wait for Habana or Shemha to make a judgement. It's not something I'd normally advocate, but..." He looked back down at the two Demons, and frowned. "... I could see it in their eyes; felt it in their Ki, too. They were happy to fight us. They wanted this destruction with every fiber of their being. Like it or not, they exist only to hurt others." His eyes returned to his companions, but he focused on Chai. "I'll let you guys decide how we handle them, but I don't think a prison will be enough."

Chai held firm as Bing's attack lashed against Mammon's form. Luckily it wasn't a killshot-- Chai was safely positioned behind the demon, though his forearms wrapped around Mammon's neck sure hurt. The zoanthrope grit his teeth in pain, but refrained from crying out... Until Pieter came along to maul the demon, that was. "N-NO! STOP!" Chai quickly cried, attempting to pull Mammon away from the savage saiyan's attack, but it was all in vain. The shaken goat watched in terror as the man's arms were chopped off like twigs, quickly covering his mouth and taking a few quivering steps back after the endeavor... For a few moments, he remained silent, simply staring at the gore... His eyes panned up to the destruction across the land, namely caused by Dantallion. If only he could have stopped everything- saved everyone. If only he could have helped.
"WHHHHYYYYYYY WOULD YOU DO THAT OH KAIS ALMIGHTY HIS ARRRMS AAAAAAAAa-" Chai began, tugging on his ears and recoiling backwards. The ever so snarky Guardia might have called Pieter a hypocrite again if he were here, doing the same thing to Mammon that he and Dantallion had done to many other civilians and all, but Chai's thoughts remained internal. The goat knelt down to Mammon's form, putting a shaking hand over the barely conscious demon's heart. Still beating. He sighed with a little relief, though... Perhaps death would have been more merciful than this. The goat's eyes trailed to the one-armed Bing for a moment. The pressure on his heart grew heavier.
Soon enough, Mammon's conscious drifted off. Another energy Chai barely recognized grew close... The majin? Most, if not all the malice in her ki was gone now. She felt like an entirely new person, catching him in a pleasant surprise. But-- she fought with Mammon. Were they close? Did he help her? "I-- I'm so sorry I..." Chai began in a hushed, shaking tone- he did want to apologize for what happened to the horned demon. However, Kaza had a few parting words with Mammon before anything else.
The goat began to calm himself as Kaza spoke, thanking Mammon for being there, despite his lack of empathy. Chai's expression sunk with a surge of guilt. He wished he could save demonic Mammon, but... Could he now? He tried. He was close, too. But...
Chai wiped away a few stray tears. Maybe another time-- he couldn't win them all just yet. ...But at least he won one, right?
A few moments of silence took hold of the group, the howling black winds as the only speaker. Kaza broke the silence with a sincere, saddened apology, again causing a pang in the goat's heart. "I--It's okay! I forgive you. I-I told you before, I'll be here." Chai commented with a weak smile, though his heart still hammered like a broken record.
Again, more tears were shed when Kaza thought she didn't deserve happiness. She hurt lots of people, and had crimes-o-plenty... But still, she smiled, just like the zoan himself had in the past. Introductions were in ordered, as Kaza said. "...I'm-- I'm Chai. Chai Schala, m--member of the Blue Banner Army of Planet Earth." The goat forced a smile, managing to close his waterworks for now. "It's great to meet you, Kaza." He smiled again as Bing introduced himself as well, before bringing up the topic of punishment...
It was true that they were in no place to dish out retribution. The saiyans, and anyone else Kaza hurt were responsible for that. He closed his eyes with a nod, though... A brief spark triggered an idea in his mind. "I suppose it boils down to the saiyans on what will happen in the end, but..." Chai tapped his chin, eyes closed. He pushed aside his still continued distress at Mammon's lack of arms aside for now somehow. "...They're awful busy on Namek still, I think. Probably will be for awhile." The zoan opened his blue eyes, smiling and extending a hand. "So why not join us on Earth until then? You and me can help make up for... this... with all sorts of good to counter the bad! We can help people! We can fix this together-- I know it!" Chai offered. He had been doing good to try to make up for his mistakes, and so far that had been working for him... "You can stay at my place if you want-- I'm sure my buddy Guardia won't mind too much."
The otherworldly warrior's eyes glimmered as he began to fantasize about the future. "W--we can be like roomies! Maybe you can finally be the one to beat Guardia's butt in Serpent Master EX also." The goat remarked, holding his arms out to the side. His smile faded soon when his mind trailed back to the saiyans. "...I think-- I think if the saiyans also hear you did good things to make up for this, then... Maybe they'll let you off the hook?" He smiled. "You deserve some semblance of happiness after all this. We both do."
"But before we go to Earth if you want..." Chai tapped his chin. Whistling briefly would result in a roar from afar-- HOOK dove down from the skies, curling around the group. A hatch on the side of his chest opened, revealing a control room inside for manual operation. "Do you need to patch things up with anyone else besides the Saiyans? Me and HOOK can give you a ride wherever."
"I told you I would be here. I think I know at least a little of what you went through, so..." The zoanthrope twiddled his thumbs, glancing to the side. "...Whatever the future dishes out at you now, just know you won't have to go through it alone, alright? I'm here. We're here."
Chai turned around, starting to climb up into his giant robot's control room. When Bing brought up the topic of what to do with Mammon and Dantallion, Chai's expression sunk. "I... I really don't know." He sucked in a slow breath while HOOK let loose a low rumble of impatience and concern. "...I want to help them, yeah, but I don't want anyone else to get hurt." Chai huffed, turning back to the control room. Bing was right about a few things-- they did want to hurt. They enjoyed it. They sought it, and executed it without regret. Mammon even said he had no regrets! A prison sure wouldn't be enough, just as Chai's mentor said... Even his world's Bing didn't explicitly seek death and destruction, Chai presumed. But, despite his best efforts, the goat couldn't pull the trigger himself. "Piet, Kaza, I'll uh... Let you two decide. I'd just make things more complicated, I feel... Sorry."
"Just... Just do the right thing, alright? I'll wait in here." Chai smiled weakly. The goat briefly turned to Pracross, who seemed distraught as well... Chai gestured for his friend to follow into the ship, and giving one last gaze of concern to Kaza... Chai would have a lot to mull over now after this big... event.
