History:
Mitsu was born in South Capitol, a city filled with crime and what not. Her family rented a rundown apartment, filled with rodents and the occasional thug breaking in. While their house and the area around them wasn't the best, the family made the best out of what they had. The parents picked up toys, furniture, and food from wherever they could find. They also worked in a shady grocery market just around the corner, it was the only way they could afford money for rent. Their living condition wasn't the best, but they were happy, and that's all that mattered. Mitsu was homeschooled by her mother and was taught manners from her. She told Mitsu to always have hope, be kind, and see the good in others. She learned to behave and act this way. Their life was great, until one day.
It was a Monday, which meant Mitsu's parents had to go to work in the grocery market. This also means that Mitsu was home alone, but her parents trained her on what to do and she was already accustomed to it. Lock the door, don't answer to anyone besides her parents, and play with her toys in the mean time. They'd usually come back at around 6:00 PM. It was roughly eight hours till' then. Mitsu played with her toy trucks and dolls for hours. It was six, they weren't here. That was okay! It's not like anything happened to them, besides Mitsu wanted to play with her dolls more. Seven o' clock.. Still no answer. Eight o' clock...no answer. Nine o' clock...
The girl was getting worried. They should be home by now! It was three hours pass the time they were supposed to arrive! She had to investigate. And so, Mitsu cautiously walked out of the apartment on her two tiny legs. The shop was just a block away. Once she arrived, Mitsu saw two things. One, blood. The other, was the corpse of her mother and father. She looked onto the scene, motionless. She wasn't stupid, she knew her parents were dead. Her brain was trying to process what she was seeing. The people who were by her side and taught her everything she knew, were dead. And their corpses stood in front of Mitsu. At first, she stood still. Right after, she broke into tears rushing towards the corpses, vigorously shaking them, no response. "W-Wake up! Mom! Dad!" She knew they were dead, but Mitsu couldn't help trying. After a few seconds of failure, she stood up and ran away in tears.
She was alone! What was she supposed to do?! What?! These were the thoughts that ran through Mitsu's head as she ran in a fit of sadness. Just then, Mitsu realized she ran the wrong way to her house, she was lost. In the next following weeks, Mitsu survived off garbage and lived in dark streets. There was always some kind of candy bar or fast food she could find in the dumpsters. If there wasn't, she'd have to steal from shops. Despite how much she hated stealing, she had to feed herself. Life was somewhat hard, but she lived through it. By now she was already 13 years old.
It was another day, another dumpster to steal food from. When she walked into her personal alley, that's when Mitsu saw "it." There was a giant blue fox, injured on the floor! It was bleeding fast. Now, the normal person would simply ignore a wild animal. But Mitsu was taught by her mother to be kind and help everyone, and that's what she was going to do. The girl patched up the fox in a couple of hours, using old paper and bandaids she could find. When the fox woke up, they were startled. But, Mitsu and the fox soon got informed of one another. The fox informed about how the girl healed them. The girl being informed how the fox was a zoanthrope and how they could talk. She referred to the fox as "Chip."
They soon got acquainted towards eachother. Both of them helping and protecting one another. They had many differences. For one, Chip loved to fight, Mitsu did not. Chip was unfriendly to strangers, Mitsu was not. Chip had a grudge towards humans, sometimes even wanting to kill them, Mitsu did not. While it was very likely humans killed her parents, that doesn't mean all of them are bad. In fact, those who are bad, secretly have a good heart on the inside! Everyone does! After meeting Chip, Mitsu realized everyone didn't feel that way. She also realized some may call Chip "evil," for hating humans, but Mitsu could see the light inside them.
Both Chip and Mitsu were hobos, they lived on the same street, and they depended on one another. After losing her parents, the fox was the only friend Mitsu had, and she appreciated them. However, just because Chip was her friend, doesn't mean they had arguments. They had many differences, causing them to have different point of views, resulting in them arguing or even fighting one another. Imagine it as a love hate relationship.
. She stayed on the streets until she was nineteen. By now, South Capitol has become dull for Mitsu. And so, she ventured out of the city to explore the world, with Chip. Despite there differences, despite how they're complete polar opposites, despite how they would argue and sometimes fight eachother, they would never go anywhere without one another.
