The cloud that was the Saiyan Brassica, hovered at the edge of the large lake in a manner that could only be described in one word. Brooding. If clouds could brood that was. Here she was, in Hell, meaning she was dead as a doornail, without a body beyond wisps of conjoined air, all because she hadn't corrected the Simians that she wasn't really a deity. Maybe if she'd done that she may have gone the other direction when she'd died and maybe then she'd have her body and not be some stupid little cloud. With a squeaky voice that made her sound like some sort of damned cartoon character!
She had to get out of this place, somehow, someway. And she had to somehow get a new body since she could reasonably guess that the one she'd had before when she'd been alive, was probably not exactly usable right now. Maybe she could get a body where she had all her hair back, rather than the shortened version it had become. Brassica missed having a massive mane of hair, even if she'd gotten somewhat used to the shorter haired look.
But that would only come about once she'd figured out how she was meant to get herself a new body! She could see people wandering around with bodies of their own, but given that this was indeed Hell, and she didn't have one of her own... well, Brassica wasn't exactly keen on the idea of trying to figure out how to fight as a squeaky puffball if one of the locals figured she looked like a tasty lump of cotton candy!
Plato sat down his mind wandering to the darkest points. He had been able to do nothing in hell and now he had been more determined to get out of hell and get back to living his life. The Konstain sighed opening his eyes as he put a single hand on his chin. He breathed in the dusty and overall stale hell air. Every day was like a bad movie on repeat. Well at least it seemed that way sure things happening but usually they didn't. When they didn't then things would be him sitting around someone causes trouble and he blasts them not the most exciting way to live. He turned his head to see some of the new set of puffball who had arrived. He thought about what Rafar had said about his death how he died on beppa. How many people were dying for his conquest to be successful? How many had to die to beat the SSE. He sighed looking at some of the puff balls. He flew over, of course there were a ton of ogre and demons all walking around there two but Plato was pretty powerful. Only the stupid one would bother him. He turned as he began to speak trying to see if anyone had been on beppa, "Any of you from Beppa i am aware of the battle i just want to know how many people have died because of Xylo's armies." Plato said looking around as some of the new souls that wandered
PL: 0 Transformations Active: N/A Current Pl: N/A Gain Bonuses: AL Rafar floated in the blood-colored lake, facing the shifting red clouds of hell. Other spirits had told him time and time again that it was dangerous to swim in the blood pond, and advised him to take a boat instead. The Sayian had steadfastly ignored them. He liked the listless feeling it gave him, as it comforted him to know he was not the only thing that felt that way. For the past year or so, he had tried to find a cause, some ideal to delicate himself to, but he couldn't find it. Nothing really gave him purpose.
In the middle of this depressing mood, he heard a man calling out among the tides of little white puffballs, asking if anyone was from Beppa. The Sayian lazily turned his head to spot the Konastian from before. Rafar sighed, then lifted himself from the lake, floating over towards the man.
"Hello again, you said you wanted to know about Beppa?" Rafar grimaced, the cloud twisting and darkening, "Every single Sayian was slaughtered in battle, about a quarter of Mazkou forces were injured, around an eighth dead. A lot of civilians got caught up and it got bloody." Rafar's cloud darkened further, now it was almost black from anger, "I only caught it out of the corner of my eye, but it looks like Xylo installed a puppet king, some random idiot that tried to kill me with a sneak attack." The cloud spat, "Anything else you want to know?"
"Wait, all of the Saiyans?" Brassica squeaked when she heard the other puffball answer the walking pointy eared humanoid. She gave a high pitched growl before apparently flailing around. "If I had arms I'd be punching this damned ground! Aaagh!" the puffball Saiyan squeaked out, her frustration and ire growing with the limitations of this damned cloud-like form of hers. "If I'd just been stronger, I'd probably have been able to take down that damn turban wearing Namekian..." Brassica growled before sighing. "Yeah, died on Beppa as well. Sounds like you lasted a little bit longer than I did though." she said towards the fellow cloud-Saiyan.
She looked over towards the pointy eared humanoid. "So, what's your stake in the whole Beppa thing? You don't exactly look like one of the locals. Some sort of warlord looking to take it if you manage to get out of here?" asked Brassica before chuckling humourlessly. "Good luck with that if that's your plan. That bastard Xylo's probably left some decent fighters behind to keep an eye on his puppet king." she said.
Plato turned as the puffball Rafar had arrived he waving, "Yo seems your being doing ok still need to find more shoki huh." Plato said as he began to speak though he darkened up Plato listening with great intent to get a better idea of what had occurred on beppa that day. He explained every single defender was slaughtered behind the might of the Mazoku. Xylo had been leading this attack and it seemed to get quite bloody. He said he believed there was some puppet king on beppa he nodding to him, "So he installed someone to rule beppa that is indeed not his normal move." Plato said humming as Brassica arrived speaking. It seemed she had died on Beppa as well. Rafar was not kidding that a lot of people had died. He turned to Brassica as she asked him what his stake in beppa was. "I'm actually just curious what Xylo been doing. I know of the man talked to him personally a couple of times he is a good man in my eyes at least in a sea of the wretched. If he killing people i hope he knows who he is killing that all." Plato said as he looked at the ghost. He assumed both of them would not be happy. "Plus i use to live there shame some of the locals had to die it is a good planet it does not deserve to be harmed cause of this war. Yet to make peace there must be violence. Both sides may not be right but neither is wrong either. The SSE are bad and the Md are bad there no other way to see it at least in my eyes. They have both killed a lot of people i just hope when this all dies down and one stands over another that they were better cause of it. Sadly, i doubt that." Plato mused as Brassica finished talking though he couldn't help but laugh, "No one in Md but Xylo and Ourboros can defeat me. I am not worried about anyone but him plus as i said i am not going to retake a planet. I died defending Yardrat from the SSE I’m done I’m going to let things play out." Plato put his hands behind his head as floated and watched the two of them.
PL: 0 Transformations Active: N/A Current Pl: 0 Gain Bonuses: AL WC: 385 TWC: 634 Rafar took several deep breaths to calm himself down after his little tirade. He hadn't meant to snap like that, but sometimes he couldn't help himself. It seemed the stronger he got, the less effective he was at suppressing his Sayian pride and brashness. A worrying prospect, but one for another time.
Back in reality, several other spirits had gathered as he had spoken, "Did he say Beppa? That's where I died too!" The white puff looked as cocky as a cloud could get, "Fought Xylo myself you see! Ah, it was an epic battle. You s-" Another, feminine ghost spoke up, "No you didn't I think I saw you. Didn't you get slapped aside casually by that blood-crazed Heran?" The first ghost grumbled, "Yeah well, it was a powerful slap.." There was more, but Rafar had stopped listening.
Another spirit showed up soon after, shock plain in it's voice as it asked if every single Sayian was killed, Rafar answered quietly, "As far as I could tell yes. A few may have been taken as prisoners, but the casualty rate seemed immense. I doubt anyone was left to bury us." Rafar shook his head sadly, "I estimate I lasted around ten minutes after Xylo shot off that doom laser of his. It was hard to fight without backup, though I like to think I did pretty well."
The Konastian was not exactly trying to keep his loyalties a secret. As soon as Rafar's fellow ghost questioned why the alien was so interested in Beppa, the warrior revealed he supported Xylo's conquests, and considered him a good man! Rafar felt a surge of annoyance, "I'm not sure a "good man" would slaughter thousands and orphan a little boy, all because someone close to him died an honorable death, but continue." The Konatsian shared his philosophy with him, stating an opinion rather similar to his own! "You may be surprised but I'm not a big fan of the SSE either, especially since they left everyone on Beppa to die when they decided not to send reinforcements." And they also killed my dad, Rafar added mentally.
As the alien closed his speech, Rafar frowned, "I of course know who Xylo is, but what is this Ouroborus? I've never heard of him, is he really all that strong?" OOC: Boop
"Oh great, you're one of those "screw them both because they did some bad things in the past" kind of guys." said Brassica irritably when the pointy eared man said his piece. She listened to the ghost from earlier continue with his report of what happened on Beppa, visibly wincing at the mention of this doom laser that Xylo had fired off. "Yeah... think that's what did me in... although I was unconscious after that Namekian kicked my ass at the time so not really sure." she said with a sigh.
When he got to the part about them not having received reinforcements, Brassica felt she had to speak up. "I had tried to send out a communication about getting reinforcements, but the transmitters got blown up in the middle of my message by Xylo's forces before the attack got seriously underway." she said with a bit of a grumble.
When they asked about this Ouroborus creature, her cloud like form visibly shuddered all over. "That egg thing that Xylo was carrying. That's Ouroborus I think." she said. "Or at least, his dormant state... before I fell to that Namekian's attack, I felt some of my power being absorbed into that thing when I fired my attack at the Namekian..." the Saiyan Cloud explained. "And apparently back on Namek when Xylo was taking it over, it was powerful enough to be felt across the entire planet and then some." she said, recalling what she'd heard back on Vegeta from Capper's report about the situation, before this whole damned war had begun.
Plato looked at Rafar as he explained Xylo did some big attack that must have destroyed most of the powerful fighters and Rafar was left standing for a few more minutes. He nodded as Rafar spoke not agreeing with him saying Xylo was a good man as he killed thousands and even left a kid without his parents. Whether that was over exaggeration or not it didn't matter to him. The SSE had done far worse and he even said himself Xylo was no hero. He was no saint riding from the heavens but for there to be change for the greater good people would die. It was not an if it was a when and how. You just hoped you in the long term saved more then you actually killed. What was more surprising was the man claim that Xylo had done it to avenge someone. He didn't know Xylo to be the sort of man to do such a thing perhaps it was something he'd inquire about if they ever meet again. The Puffball Rafar also chimed in that he was not a fan of the SSE in the first place. "Yes the SSE must be busy trying to horde all of its new worlds that don't belong to them instead there greed and malice tainted their eyes. Trust me when i say i know more about the SSE then you'd suspect despite my race." Plato said crossing his arms as he wanted to now counter what Brassica had been saying. She didn't seem so keen to hear about his opinion on the SSE and the Domain how he saw them both as evil.
It seemed that this other puffball had died to Xylo big giant beam attack. He sighed as she explained she was going to try and get reinforcements, "I'd be surprised if you could i battered the Saiyans up on Yardrat." He flexed, "Nah in all seriousness I’m sorry you all had to die i hope this conflict finds a way to be solved the right way this time." Plato said with a grunt thinking of how the Saiyans got away with so much. It was a curious thought. The two of them asked a little about Ourboros him coughing into his hand. He didn't know it base form took that of an egg he only knew what Alistair told him who was there first hand when the demon was unleashed. It was all good to note what the ghost said that the flesh egg seemed to absorb ki. Perhaps there were ways to get away around that but he doubted. If there was not like he'd tell anyone. "I can assure my info is most likely as good as some of yours. I knew a man who saw Xylo take Namak first hand. Ourboros is powerful. I can say at least on Namak he was able to beat the boy known as Etoru who i also know. Based on the strength i meet him at Ourboros to me who have to be near if not beyond some of the strongest warriors i have ever known." Plato said with a grim look on his face. It was not as if he told them much but all of what he was hearing was making him curious and worried. Would Xylo go too far for the price of victory?
PL: 0 Transformations Active: N/A Current Pl: 0 Gain Bonuses: AL WC: 299 TWC: 933 The other Sayian's ghost seemed to be growing angrier and angrier at the Konatsian by the second, condemning him for labeling the SSE as a evil faction, "To be fair, they are still conquering planets like it's going out of style." Rafar paused, emotion warring with honesty, "Though I suppose it's not as bad as it used to be," he admittedly grudgingly. Despite his rather long list of grievances against the SSE, they did have their good points. Maybe he should think more about Purika's offer, if it even still valid.
The Sayian then spoke up about the reinforcement issue, "You aren't the only one. I picked up hundreds of signals from scattered SSE bases across the world. They had sufficient strength to reach Vegeta, but no one came. I sent two messages myself, each easily able to reach Vegeta, but no one came." Rafar was beginning to grow annoyed at the woman's blind faith, "Unless they were being attacked, which I severely doubt happened, there should be no reason they shouldn't have come."
The next topic of conversation revolved around Xylo's weird minion Ouroborus. Apparently, it stole energy from fighters in battle and used it to grow to dizzying heights of power. "Now that you mention it...." Rafar looked off into the rocky distance thoughtfully, "My energy did seem a bit lower than usual, and my attacks were weaker. Is there any defense against a being like that?" How many other tricks did Xylo have in that bag of his? Immense power, an energy beam that could slaughter three super sayians in a heartbeat, and now this energy vampire. Was there any hope in combating a foe like that? "You said this Ouroborus is stronger than Xylo, and Xylo is stronger than this 'Etrou'. How strong is Etrou?" OOC: Learning stuffff
Brassica puffed up, if that was even possible to do when she literally a puffball of air, before deflating and sighing. "Well, we don't know what was going on on other planets. And I doubt we will unless someone dies on Vegeta and pops on over here to tell us why they didn't come." she said, with an attempt to shrug what could probably pass for her shoulders given she was an amorphous cloud.
When the male cloud asked if there was any kind of defence against that kind of creature, Brassica could only shake her head, or rather her whole body. "Not that I can really think of. It just seems to naturally do it without any indication of it doing it. Only thing I can think of would be to try and blow it up before it can absorb the energy... but since Xylo keeps it close to him, doubt that would get anywhere." she mused.
Plato smirked as the saiyan spoke before frowning. While he admitted that they still took over planets but it was better now. Even if it was it still was not good enough. "Even if it is better as you say it still pretty bad. They should stop conquering planet in the first place." Plato said rubbing the back of his neck as the two spoke about what no reinforcements came to defend beppa. He moved his hand to his chin. He could tell them what he knew but he decided not to. Even if the SSE had a reason not to be there, if there was seed of doubt planted in their minds perhaps the SSE would be weakened that way. Kaza had already lost faith what about these warriors. "Suppose i say perhaps the sse didn't send reinforcements because they saw Beppa are an acceptable loss. What if they say the death of some of its warriors as something they were willing to lose, because the value of the soldier was seen as not enough to risk more troops on beppa? They rule an empire sometimes you need to use the resources accordingly. You two just happen to be some of the cost or maybe something was going on but from what? The Domain perhaps but there only man worth your time is Xylo at least in my eyes. Perhaps other had seen your evil's the empire evils. Because just for me no matter how you see it. The SSE has done much worse than the domain and got away with all like it was not a crime." He looked at the two Saiyans with a curious expression. They knew some things but how much did they know about their empires dealing. How much did they know in what they hid to not be exposed for what they were? They were not changing to some force of good they were the same just, "You must both know of the earth treaty right?"
Rafar snorted, "Short of a full scale invasion, I doubt there would be anything keeping the Queen and her lackeys from launching an attack on Xylo when he was out in the open. If they brought everyone, they surely could have defeated him!" He spun on his heel, gesturing at the growing cloud of spirits, "Anyone from Vegeta?" Slowly, every one of the ghosts shook their heads. He turned back to the spirit, "Guess we won't know for a while at least. By the way, forgot to ask. What's your name?"
The puffball continued, describing more of her thoughts about the Ouroborus creature "It's a formidable weapon to be sure. I suspect the only two methods that would work, disregarding a miracle, is alpha striking it, like you said, or simply keeping Xylo from deploying it. Anything else seems suicidal."
Plato began talking then, speaking about the sins of the SSE, "So they should let the Mazkou conquer the galaxy, gain resources then swarm them under? Sorry but that seems like a horrible decision right now, even though it's wrong." The Konatsian continued on with another one of his little speeches, which Rafar immediately discounted, "Sorry, but I don't think even the SSE are insane enough to consider the loss of three super sayians an 'acceptable loss'. Me and her, maybe, but not them." He tilted his head, "And please, don't take me for an idiot. We both know that Xylo isn't innocent. He incited the conquering, so he is pretty much responsible for millions of deaths across the galaxy." Plato spoke another quick phrase after this, to which Rafar quirked his lips, "I'm going to assume you mean the SSE-Earth treaty, but yes I do know of it. One could technically argue that Xylo forced the Sayian's hands by subjugating the Frost Demons, though I doubt you think that's a good argument." OOC: Politics!
Just a while back, Bell had been killed and sent to this strange hellhole, which actually turned out to be hell. Bell's weak body was exchanged for an even weaker ghost form, leaving bell just a tad bit peeved. He floated around hell aimlessly, with no real clear good. He found that being angry didn't really help him much, and so after a while just stopped being mad. He became a lot more laid back,... in his attitude anyways since he didn't really have a back.
A while had passed before Bell had begun to hear voices once more. Having nothing better to do, Bell decided to tune in. To his surprise though, there was a few voices he recognized. The conversation had also intrigued him as it pertained to the battle of Beppa to some regard. Surprisingly, once he'd gotten in view of the people conversing, there was actually a fully formed figure (Though the rest of the people there were clouds just as he'd expect).
The fully formed figure made Bell curious. Besides the attendants to the souls, those troll-like fellows, no one else seemed to have keeped their bodies. He approached the gathering of souls, intent with finding out why he out of all the others had a body, that was until it finally clicked to him who the voices were. Recalling the battle of Beppa, Bell had heard a saiyan soldier fighting on the battlefield, he was one of the last men alive along with Bell. The other voice as alot more recognizable, his first encounter with an annoying group of officers.
"Brassica?... wow.. you've died already?" Bell said tauntingly from nearby (though not actually meaning for it to be a taunt). He stared over at her floating body, before saying in a snarkier tone with a grin on his face- "Wow.. did you lose weight or something... you look completely different from the last time i saw you..."
"Hmmph." snorted the cloud-form of Brassica. "That line of thought only works if you hadn't met the current Queen the way I had." she said, a growl entering her words. "When the world I was raised on was going into an apocalyptic hellstorm of volcanic eruptions all across its surface, she could have left without saying another word. Instead, she agreed to help evacuate an entire species she had never met before, had no connection to. Because I'd asked her to. And I wasn't even a member of the SSE back then either before you make a remark about that." explained the former Saiyan.
"They're now on Vegeta, remaking their civilisation and way of life. They're alive now because of her. They don't work for her, they don't serve the Solar Saiyan Empire. But they're alive and safe all the same." she said, raising her voice slightly as she spoke. "My people, my family are alive and safe because of her. So, you can shove it up your vainglorious pontificating arsehole if you think you can twist events to justify whatever the hell you want to." Brassica roared, and would probably have been properly intimidating about the whole endeavour, if it wasn't for the fact that she was currently a high pitched squeaking cloud thing!
Before she could voice her thoughts on the whole Saiyan Earth treaty this pointy eared bastard was mentioning as some sort of weird segway, a slightly familiar voice piped up and caused her to groan, and glare at them. "You're lucky I don't have hands to punch you with right now." she growled.
Both of them made quick work to disprove what he had to say. Plato let out a laugh putting a hand to his forehead, "Your both not just dogs being brainwashed that is good. I don't want to have to deal with people without a brain." Plato paused to listen to Brassica tale about how the queen saved an entire Species. He was surprised to hear that a smile on his face. He didn't think it didn't mean she was evil but she had some sort of heart. The Ghost has guts she seemed quite angry at the idea he was suggesting. The Fire was good as he raised his hands like he was about to be shot. "I'm glad the two of you are smart enough to see that what I was saying was downright foolish. I wanted to see your answers. You could have just said I was wrong the sse are not monsters but you both brought good points that make me willing not to throttle the both of you. However, to the both of you, I'm going to say some things and I hope you take them to heart. Whether that means you abolish whatever link you have with the SSE, use it to help yourselves as motivation or to change the SSE for the better matters, not to me. I'd love to see what you can do with a simple push." Plato smiled before sitting down again looking at the two of them.
"First I must correct you Mr. Rafar. I am not talking about what happened After Xylo came about through I guess there was something I'll have to remember when I come back. No, I'm talking about before that, I'm talking before that when Zucceta came to earth. I know this because I meet her on earth. I also learned of a man the SSE turned into a robot who you may or may not know. The Guardian of earth I believe. From what I know of Xylo he fights to defend Namak but yes he has taken planet but so far he made no moves on the SSE. I ask this who is the one who has been attacking taking planet they don't belong to them. Who has the one who brass is being manipulated by higher powers? Which empire still uses slavery? Tell me I'm curious if you both know." He said as a more serious tone filled his voice. His glaring at them like daggers he waited for an answer. He even ignored the new puffball just waiting for them to answer. He hoped he was not wrong to assume they were not stupid. The answer was simple, it was the SSE. If they could not figure that out then hopefully he could teach them.
