Yo, so I have been looking around at some of the IC locations on the site, and I am a little disappointed in what I see. What I am referring to is the fact that I am seeing planets controlled by groups that aren't really giving them any thought unless they get invaded, in which the leader would fly over to that planet, defend it, and then probably leave right after, letting said planet go inactive yet again until the next invasion. At the moment I am seeing that Knutts (eh, this one might not count since it is a prison created by SSE), Brenchian Gemini, Shikk (Besides one dude making one thread there two months ago) and up until yesterday Beppa (Besides one dude RPing there who isn't even apart of the organization that controlled the planet) have been getting said treatment.
Yes yes, I know that IC there are some NPC soldiers stationed there so IC I can't claim planet abandonment, but it is just a shame that the PC members of these organizations aren't really making threads and helping out the planet in some way. It is for this reason that I suggest that there be some system implemented to make these organizations better respect these planets, and if they don't, take the planet from them which can be explained as an uprising by the citizens for not being taken care of enough or something like that.
Another point I would like to bring up (that I just thought about honestly) is the fact that having site planets that an organization doesn't RP on would make it so the planet in question is as functional as a strictly IC planet that they could control, as there isn't any benefit to holding a site planet honestly, unless you are using it for heavy plot, which abandoned planets aren't really used for, now are they?
Right now I am thinking something along the lines of having it so that any member of the organization that rules over the planets has to make threads on that planet every few months (every 3 maybe?), and if they don't, then that organization forfeits the rights of control.
Does anyone agree? If not, I would like a proper explanation as to why these planets should just be allowed to sit without any IC development for them. Of course, also explain if you agree, though I think I have covered all of the reasons why this should be implemented already.
