I just realized we have the option to make technology centered characters, but we don't actually have anything to make them viable combatants against planet busting Ki manipulators. So I thought, why not add a Battle Jacket into the store option?
Battle Jacket: 500z | 2500z| 5000z | 20,000z | 37,000z | 50,000z : Similar to a guard, the Battle Jacket was designed to protect those who could not protect themselves. The difference is that while a guard is an independent being, the Battle Jacket is a piloted vehicle that the owner can manipulate from within. Battle Jackets come in a variety of strength levels, with the most expensive among them usually being deadlier than the cheaper models. Depending on their price, Battle Jackets have an effective power level of 500z (=5000pl/3 built in weapons), 2500z (=50,000pl/5 built in weapons), 5000z (=100,000pl/7 built in weapons), 20,000z (=1,000,000pl/9 built in weapons), 37,000z (2,000,000pl/10 built in weapons), and 50,000z (=3,000,000pl/11 built in weapons)
Because the Battle Jacket is a vehicle, and not part of the owner's natural capabilities, the owner can not use any weaponry attached to the Battle Jacket unless they are directly piloting it. Additionally, they can not obtain PL rewards from battles in which they relied on the Battle Jacket to fight for them.

hm.... not gonna lie, this does sound interesting. Would you be able to use your own techs in the battle jacket?

You know you can just make a human with this, but mechanically make it an android.

You know you can just make a human with this, but mechanically make it an android. No, this would give players the ability to buy PL and skills (weapons), instead of spending months trying to work up to them (unless you count the price range). And it would be a temporary access, since they need the Battle Jacket to have access to anything it comes with. Androids can still increase their power through training, Battle Jackets can not. They're like guards, you buy them at a designated limit and if you want to get a stronger one, you need to buy a more expensive model.

Articho has the right idea. If you want to make a battle jacket character make it an android, it makes the most sense mechanically.

Articho has the right idea. If you want to make a battle jacket character make it an android, it makes the most sense mechanically. Except it doesn't. Battle jackets are vehicles, tools, and mindless automotons. Any race can climb inside and still be the same race. Otherwise, we can say that Bulma is an Android, because she used a Battle Jacket on Namek. Androids are a specific race of themselves. Nobody is piloting them, and they have free will / sentience.

You can mechanically play a battle jacket pilot as a non-robot piloting a robot if you wanted. When outside of it, the pilot would be mechanically like, 5 PL.
If you really wanted Battle Jackets as items, I'm sure you could just buy a regular guard. We don't need an entire separate item for it.

All of the racials and transformations for androids apply to battle jackets as well. As Bing said you could flavor it so the pilot is whatever race but their power level would only be around 2-5. Also, if theoretically 'Battle Jacket Bulma' was a character on souls she would be an android mechanically.
