<< Previous Thread
START YOUR ENGINES Capper sat in his barn, watching the seconds fly by on the clock, his tail swaying back and fourth with every little tick. Today was the day. His long-awaited race would start in a few mere minutes! Capper was weak, and was not fit to host some event like that tournament he'd seen on television the other day. So, he had an even BETTER idea! A kart race! It was GENIUS! Capper sat down, once again picking up one of the fliers he had laid out from city to city. It was pretty well drawin in Capper's opinion, although it was hand drawn... It had the place and date of the race, and hopefully his lowkey advertising would only attract a handful of racers. He had some sponsors for the race and a buttload of Zeni now, but Capper wanted this to be a small event where he could meet some new friends before he headed home to see his parents. He didn't want to be on television or have the paparazzi all around him, no sir.
Simply saying he was going to have a race was easy. Actually setting it up was quite difficult. Capper managed to pave a dirt path all around the area, going on for several miles and passing through the mountains, a nearby beach, and many more landmarks the saiyan had grown accustomed to. He had a few... surprises laid out for challenge, and just hoped the oncoming challengers would not disappoint. Plus, his old buddy Collan apparently had a present for Capper as well- the saiyan boy had decided to give the hybrid his barn when he left for Vegeta, and his silver-haired companion had a mystery gift to give the saiyan mechanic in exchange. What could it be?! Capper couldn't wait! Patting his longtime companion robot, Alpha, as the bot cooed and nuzzled up to the saiyan like some kind of cat, Capper eyed a small jar on a shelf as well containing a small spider he found during an escapade with Etoru, which the little saiyan engineer named "Tiny." There was that mini-fridge he smuggled from his first meeting with Jor and Collan. His new peg-leg served as a permanent scar from his adventures with Gekdio, Duri, Jor, 921, and that other strange Heran. Capper could never forget about his encounter with EGG, Valence, and co. when he first tried out his prototype motorbike as well... Capper never thought he would even think it, but he was going to miss the Earth.
Looking outside, Capper saw the setting sun, simply taking in the sight that he would see for the last time... It was beautiful, really. Far more pretty than anything possible on Vegeta. Capper had a new appreciation for life and people due to his adventures on Earth, and was ever thankful for his friends for helping him along the way. It simply was not possible without them. So he might as well give them one last event to remember him by before he left. Oddly enough, the saiyan managed to spot a few tears running down his cheeks as he looked at the setting star. Promptly wiping the droplets away, Capper's attention quickly flicked to the clock on his wall as it chimed.
The cuckoo clock on Capper's wall chimed six times, marking dusk and the hour of his race! Hopping off the swivel chair he was sitting on, Capper quickly hastened outside, his Scouter picking up several powers seemingly on route to his location. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, the saiyan climbed atop his Blaster Bike, looking at the setting sun one more time before directing his attention to the oncoming racers in their vehicles. Capper had several flag banners lined up around the barn, and had even found some spare christmas lights in the dumps to liven up the place. Clothing lines coated with some attire hung off the side of the barn and were pinned to the ground, and many pulley systems and other doodads hung in every place on the barn, just to make the saiyan's life a little easier. He had everything prepared now- a buffet inside full of snacks fit for several saiyans in case anyone came to spectate, a jukebox with all sorts of music, balloons, ribbons, banners, a disco ball hanging from the inside of his barn, all sorts of snacks like a giant cake, ice cream, chips, cookies, some fruit, and much, much more! The once sad, lonely, and abandoned barn now glimmered with new life thanks to the saiyan mechanic. Doing a little wheelie on his bike as he waited, Capper could only watch as some dust from some approaching vehicles grew on the horizon...

It was time...time for many things, the race, Capper's leaving of Earth...but most importantly, it was time to have a great time! Riding up on his new bike, and some clothing that he had found suitable for riding, he was ready, more ready than he'll ever be.
[Biker Collan]
Once he drove in, he'd get off the bike, removing the gloves and looking over at Capper. "Hey best bud!" He walked over smiling. "Hope I won't disappoint ya, pretty bad that this will be the last time I see ya..." He stood in silence for a bit and rustled the little Saiyan's hair. "Oh yeah, the gift I got for you." He walked back over to the bike to press a button that opened a small containment area.
He reached in to bring out a chocolate cake to Capper. "I hope this satisfies, I couldn't really afford anything as big or as expensive what you gave me." Still smiling, he put his gloves back on and sat down as he started waiting for the other races to arrive.

[Thread PL: 44,220] [HEAVY WEIGHTS ENGAGE] [Current PL: 11,055]
The day had finally come. Much time had passed since he had first heard of this event coming to fruition, but EGG had been quite fervent in his training of riding his tricycle. The Violet triple wheeled vehicle that EGG bought with his hard earned money had gotten a lot of wear and tear over the course of a month or so, but the saibaman on the other hand had come out of this experience well learned and versed in the art of riding this tricycle. So much so that he was out speeding actual vehicles because of how fast he pedaled. Sure, he did break the trike a couple times, but after resorting to a mechanic to buff up the tricycle with metal filling, the trike became heavier yet stronger.
And he had gotten word that the race that Capper was setting up as just about to take full fruition. EGG had pedaled as fast as he could, practically flying across the sky in his trike as it hopped up into the air every so often due to the ground being bumpy as all hell. The small creature was excited and anxious for completely different reasons. The first was his excitement for the race finally starting, an even that he had been preparing for so long. And then came his anxiousness, was due to the information he learned from Emer, information concerning on whether his race really was one who was used as workhorses for the saiyans.
It would be no time at all when EGG arrived, finding Capper and the silver haired Collan. Hopping off of his tricycle, he bounced his way over to Capper to say hello, but stopped in his tracks to notice that his leg was gone and replaced with a stump of wood. Wincing, EGG could only recall at how often people seem to lose their limbs nowadays, a thing that occurred rarely in the shows he watched.
Swallowing audibly, EGG would announce to Capper, "EGG is here! I here to race like said long ago. Want have fun and all." EGG could not bring himself to ask him about the relation between saibamen and saiyans, the gusto being taken out of him for the sadness of Capper's missing limb. Turning around, the caped tennenman hopped in his tricycle, trying to calm himself down and keep himself from crying as he could only imagine the pain that Cap had to go through.

Tekuma's wheels! Thread PL: 51,116. x6P Scarlet Vanguard active! [Achieved through internal upgrades in a solo I'll write when I find the muse to] PL: 306,696! HW on! 76,674. Tekuma had heard about the race, and was rather excited for it and as such had materialized a pretty blue bike out of nowhere. Her appearance was much different, robotic arms having synthetic skin and her body no longer having organic parts. It'd taken a while to convince them to do this to her, and her spirit felt loosely connected to the robotic body it now inhabited. Oddly enough, there wasn't the hormones, there wasn't the blood pumping through her veins to cloud her vision. She was now indifferent to people she'd hated before, and the people she cared about she still did. Thinking about her 'little brother' Tomoyo, a small smile split her lips as she rode her bike. The new body had little limits, and the power she'd received from the upgrade was rather staggering. She could barely touch anything without it breaking, and she was still under some physical therapy to control her new power. Regardless, she'd been ok'd to participate in the race as long as her systems didn't malfunction. Thankfully, she could still feel emotions albeit there was something there to prevent her getting less worked up due to the reports of her getting riled and being.. well, bad in general. The reports, needless to say, had not been in her favor so she'd had a punishment brought down on her and something implanted to try to keep her from flipping out. Pulling the brakes as she neared the spot, she gave a wave to the Tennenman and a nod to Capper. A hybrid had approached and her internal scouter read out the power levels of everyone present at the moment. Parking her bike, she'd stretch her legs and her body. Despite being an android, she still had the natural reflexes of wanting to stretch the muscles she didn't have anymore. Realizing how silly and stupid it was, she'd simply proceed to float upside down. "So, this is the race I heard about. This'll be fun!"

The fiendish serpent was grinning widely as her illegally-acquired bulldozer rumbled up to the barn. Sure, Capper was leaving afterwards, but she was going with him! And unlike him, she hadn't really grown attached to this planet. Before that, though, there was a race to enjoy; she was confident that the winner was going to be her. Who else could it be, after all? She smirked as she thought about how fun it would be to crush Collan and the others - metaphorically, of course. Running them over probably wouldn't hurt them anyway. She waved to the engineer as she stomped on the brakes. "Hey Cap! Beautiful evening, isn't it?" she said, her grin not shrinking in the slightest as she spoke. She glanced around at everyone there, nodding to herself as she examined their vehicles. "So.... what should I set my power to?" she inquired, realizing that she had no idea how much she needed to impair her ki. As she waited for his answer, her eyes searched for his spaceship, knowing she'd need to act quickly to stow away on it. Her plan had to go off without a hitch - the slightest mishap might send Capper to Vegeta without her! That thought nearly wiped the grin off of her face, but she quickly recovered, reminding herself that worrying about things to come would only drive her crazy.

The sound of a loud engine humming began growing louder and louder as Etoru approached. The child drifted in and drove between Egg and Capper. "Sup nerds..." He smirked. He wore an oversized green helmet over his head which sagged to the left a bit. The chin strap hung loosely as well. "I see you brought other chumps here. They signed up to eat my dust huh...no problem..." Etoru grinned from ear to ear, ready to race. ---

"Brrrrrrrrrr. REEEEEEEEH~"
Approaching the other races from down the road was a strange sight indeed. The noises the sounded as they drew closer seemed almost imitation of the other racers' vehicles as it mimicked the noise of a high-pitched child's voice making car noises...
Maybe because it was an 11 year old child making car noises-
Galloping down the road with a stick positioned in between his legs, Tomoyo was having the time of his life playing around with his new piece of fun. The magic stick in question appeared to look like any other pathetic piece of thin lumber like a broken branch shoddily spray painted red... heck, even part of the leaf still on it was partially green! But still, here was Tomoyo bounding down the road until he came up along the other racers.
Originally hearing about the race from Teku, Tomoyo had decided to tag along to have some fun as a surprise! Like a child playing with a broom and pretending his was riding a horse, the Saiyan hybrid soon made his way down the path the others had come before positioning himself right next to the older android he knew. "SURPRISE! I came ta' race too, Teku~" The child yelled out out of nowhere, holding the stick between his legs before leaping up to hug the android, potentially knocking her off her bike. While of course Tomo still had his reservations about the current state of the girl... she was still his sister... "I think..." Besides, now was a time for fun anyway.
Turning to the weird looking Saiyan that was Capper, Tomoyo flashed the boy a grin before waddling over to him with his innocent and pleading eyes. "Hi mister! I'm Tomoyo! Teku's my sister!" He introduced, figuring that'd be the nice thing to do. "Can I race please~?"
His eyes scanning over the participants that had gathered, Tomoyo was just about to turn back to converse with Tekuma when something mad him turn back. There was another kid here! Bounding over to Etoru who had just finished insulting the group of racers, Tomoyo flashed him a smile before introducing himself like he always did. "Hi! I'm Tomo! I'm 11 years old. What's your name?" Giggling a little at the child's oversized helmet, Tomo faced foreward as well with a determined grin. He would show everyone just how good he was; just how good his new stick friend was!
Tomoyo would be sure to STICK it to 'em! (I'm not sorry)

#921 saw the fliers in West City, reading one as he walked outside of a restaurant he had eaten at. Interesting, a kart race? He decided to head out, he had nothing to do, no restrictions to stop him. So he went out, riding on his motorcycle with the flyer in his hand, zooming across the streets on his ride. He flew past the businesses, leaving everything as he rode freely. The cyborg noticed a change in scenery, as slowly the streets disappeared and were replaced with open fields and farmland. He knew that he must be getting closer. Eventually, he found his way there, noticing the barn, which had 7 people already outside. Surprising, he had assumed he would be one of few people. He came over the hill, turning off the motorcycle and jumping off. The cyborg looked around at all the people. There was one, with silver hair, next to a red motorcycle not unlike his own, with a battle power of 16722. One was small, the size of a child, pink and blue coloured, next to a tricycle. Strange for his size, he was strong, with a battle power of 1105. A small child rolled in, and 921 nearly fainted when he saw the reading on his scouter. 317699! Insanity! At least it wasn't a tournament, these people would dwarf him in a battle. Another child came in, the size of the last, riding a... stick? Peculiar, but he was just a child. He had a power reading of 4200, the smallest one yet. #921 looked around at the members already there, seeing Tekuma! She had a bicycle, and had gotten stronger since last time, a reading of 76674. "Tekuma! It's nice to see you again." He said quickly, before looking back around the group. And he saw a certain familiar serpent, it was Jormungandr . "You're here too I see." #921 said as he looked at her. He was seemingly rude, but he remembered her fondly for the most part, but he was mad. How could she have just left, not even trying to fight?! He narrowly escaped that cave, it was one of his most dangerous adventures yet. He looked at the last person there, seeing it was... Capper?! "Capper?! So you're the one who set this up!" He said. Capper was well meaning in his idea of going into the cave, he had done nothing wrong. And despite the injuries being mostly gone by now, #921 still felt a tinge of sympathy towards Capper for what happened. "Well, I suppose we should all introduce ourselves. I'm #921, a pleasure to meet you all." !

The mighty roar of revving engines broke through the air as the eighth racer made it to their post. A formula one drag racer rolled into view followed by a cloud of dust. The racer had a sleek and futuristic look to it with it's sharp contours and vibrant pink and purple color scheme. Written in a stylish white text along the sides was the car's name: "Drag-One." Upon it's spoiler was a bold advert for "Happy Shrimp Produce" with a cutesy shrimp mascot smiling happily. Despite only wanting a small time event it seemed Capper's little race inspired someone important to come out. As for who: one couldn't quite say for when the car pulled up only the sillhoute of it's driver could be seen through the green dome like windshield. The driver cut the wheel causing the long car to spin dramatically into it's place while also whipping up a dust storm around it. The windshield would slide back as the dust settled as the driver stood up and revealed themself. "I can see why you Mortals care so much for these mechanical things." The demonic Kami: Maeve Rakshasa stood before the racers with her three sets of arms crossed confidently. The golden scaled dragoness was clad in an outfit much different than her normal attire. She wore a sleek purple two piece racing suit that connected the midriff baring half shirt to her form fitting pants with a pair of suspenders. The design was simple but striking with the two white stripes that ran down her limbs and the same shrimp mascot on her chest. Her fingerless gloves, long flared bandanna that was tied around her neck, and her racing glasses all sported a hot pink color to match her car's bold color palette. The entire ensemble made her look like a real professionally sponsored racer. The confident spark in her eyes faltered however as she cut her gaze to the numerous children (or child like creatures) lining up aboard a bike, a trike, and a stick. She blinked several times before looking around with a red flush burning at her cheeks. "W-what's with all these whelps? This is the place for the big race right? The Shrimps are gonna be mad if I ended up getting mixed up..." She uttered to herself worry slipping into her voice as she ran her claws through her ruby locks. Her gaze cut to Etoru suddenly however as she realized he was there. "Etoorrrrrruuuu! What are you doing here?! I never gave you permission to join a race!" She snapped, glaring down at her adopted son. Even though he was quite capable and hardier than most the maternal instinct of 'he might get hurt' kept ringing in her head. KEY "Capper's Normal Dialogue" 'Capper's Telepathy' 'Capper's Thoughts'
<< Previous Thread
START YOUR ENGINES Capper watched as some of his friends approached, as well as some new faces. Most of which, were oddly enough, small children that were no taller than himself... First came Collan, one of Capper's closest companions. Running right up to his silver-haired comrade. "Hiya! Can I have my present now? I want my present." Capper spoke bluntly, his tail swaying to and fro behind his form. Capper just narrowed his eyes somewhat when his partner ruffled his hair- the hair was usually a big no-no to touch, but The Great Capper would allow this for now. Turning his head to the offering the hybrid gave to him, Capper's face lit up like the night sky when he saw his present- a cake! It wasn't much compared to Capper's barn, his goodbye present to Collan, but the saiyan's stomach found this gift to be a lifesaver. A low growl echoed from his torso right when he saw the mound of fudge and chocolate, to which Capper picked up, cradling the desert like a newborn baby with starry eyes. The best way to a saiyan's heart was usually through their stomach, after all! "T-thanks! I'll save it for when I get home, I'm sure mom and dad will want a piece of this!" Capper spoke, trotting into his barn. The saiyan stumbled for a moment, nearly tripping with his false leg. Looking down at the limb, Capper remembered his mother's prosthetic as well. Well, it seemed like they would match now. Sighing and setting the choclolatey cake goodness on a table in his barn, Capper hobbled back out just in time to see EGG approach! Giving his friend a quick wave, Capper saw the saibaman as an equal. They were both different from what was expected from their species, and Capper could emphasize with the cotton-candy colored plant being.
Next up came... Tekuma. Capper narrowed his eyes, some discontent visible in his eyes. Well, at least he would get to see one of these Blue Banner Bozos get beat in the race. Expression softening for a moment, the saiyan simply gave the android a nod when she asked if this was the fabled race he had hyped up for so long. However, a smile spread across the saiyan's face when his scouter picked up another power level approaching- Jormungandr! "Jor!!" Capper yelled, hopping up quickly and aiming to tackle his dearest companion with a hug. He'd miss her the most when he left for Vegeta... Oh, he remembered the day he met her and turned into an Oozaru like yesterday... Although he couldn't pinpoint exactly what his monkey-beast self did, exactly. Releasing Jor from his tight hug and sitting on the hood of the bulldozer, Capper tilted his head and spoke when she asked what she should suppress her power to. "Nine hundred is fine. Everyone's going to be equals in this race!" Capper spoke, turning around and hopping off the construction vehicle when yet another racer approached.
Narrowing his eyes with a familiar smug smile when Etoru approached, Capper's tail lashed about when the hybrid child spoke of everyone eating his dust. "Pffft. Try us, human." Capper spoke in a smug tune in response to Etoru. There was some respect in his regards to Etoru as a human instead of a saiyan, though... The saiyan noted the child's helmet, and turned to the group to remind them to put their helmets on, pray tell if they even had them. But... what was that sound? An engine? No... it was...!
Another kid. Oh kais. Capper blinked a few times with a blank expression, tilting his head in mild shock and confusion. Why was he attracting so many children and younglings to this big event? He kind of wanted to see a real race car in this event... But a saiyan could dream, right? The new child hobbled over to the peg-legged saiyan, asking him if he could participate in the race. Capper's expression twisted, but he just couldn't work up the guts to say no to that face! "Uh, yeah, sure." Capper spoke, his face quickly turning to shock when he said Tekuma was his sister. Was that even possible?! Their skin and hair colors were far too different to be of the same bloodline, let alone be the spawn of the same parents. Capper wasn't sure what Tekuma was before she was an android, but it didn't add up...
Then, the sound of a REAL engine roared through the barnyard. Capper turned around, mouth open slightly as a cloud of dust approached over the horizon. A REAL-LIFE drag racing car quickly came to a halt next to the group, causing Capper's eyes to go starry. It was the most beautiful vehicle he had ever seen! What engine model did it have? Thrusters? Motor valves and pistons? A voice boomed as the car came to a halt, causing dust to storm around the barn. Capper took a step back, raising his arm to block the dust, opening his starry eyes once more to look at whoever brought such a mighty vehicle to the race. Looking up at Maeve, Capper threw his arms up, his eyes still as starry as the stars beginning to appear in the sky above. "Oh kais almighty, finally someone's taking this seriously!!" Capper yelled in glee. His tail wagged at a thousand miles per hour from the sheer joy of seeing a real racer with a real racing car! However, that smile faltered when something to be bothering this mystery racer. Looking down at the crowd of small racers, Capper's cheeks puffed out when she called the group "whelps." Capper did not appreciate name calling, aside from when he was the one calling the names. "Hey! I-I'm no whelp! I'm Capper, the host of this race!" Capper proclaimed, puffing his chest out a little with balled fists. Shaking his ehad, the saiyan calmed down and spoke in a somewhat more meek, but respectful tune. "But, uh, yeah. This is it. Unless someone copied me and made a bigger race or something."
Capper turned his head, staring at nothing in particular. "Ugh! I swear, if someone went on and COPIED my genius...!" Capper trailed off, his narrowed eyes twitching a little. When Maeve went over to his "rival" Etoru, Capper's smug smile from their first meeting returned, and the saiyan spoke in an equally cocky tune to the powerful super saiyan hybrid. "OOoooOooh, someone's in trouble~"
After everyone got acquainted, Capper climbed atop a rather large box with some of his things inside of it, clearing his throat to get the group's attention. The saiyan threw off his armor to give his form a little more flexibility and breathing space before he pointed a finger at the group of racers. "Alright, listen up! I'm Capper, and I will be your referee for this race." Capper spoke, putting a hand over his heart and standing proudly. Crossing his arms, the saiyan's tail hung limp behind him as he tilted his head, speaking once more to the group in his squeaky voice. "The rules for this event are simple. One- No running or flying the course! Two- you must suppress your power so that everyone is equal in strength. Three- Ki blasts and attacks may be used to hinder or help other racers. And four- you can damage, but you can't completely destroy another's vehicle. And the winner..." Capper reached behind the box, pulling up a fairly large brown bag. Setting it on the ground, coins jingling and paper rustling could be audibly heard when the heavy bag fell to the ground with a thud. "...Gets all this Zeni!" Capper spoke proudly. Some people pooled in some money while Capper had to cover for others. He was too nice for these people- what would they ever do without him? "So, let's get this party started!"
Reaching behind the box, Capper pulled out several shoulder and knee pads resembling pearly white bones and skulls of the sort. Pulling up a helmet that resembled a spiked canine skull with a green visor, Capper threw off his Scouter and plopped the helmet over his head. Anyone that wasn't already wearing a helmet would have a bike helmet thrown at them haphazardly- safety came first! Hopping onto his Blaster Bike, Capper revved up the engine and rode onto the dirt path in front of them, whistling for everyone to get lined up at the white line painted into the dirt.
Should the racers follow their referee's instructions and line up at the starting line for the start of the event, Capper would eye the group and whistle once more, causing a tiny robot to scamper out of the barn. Alpha, Capper's robot companion, hopped onto his bike, pointing one of his tiny legs into the air as a nozzle poked out of the tip. Energy flickered inside the tiny blaster as Capper moved his bike to the side, taking a deep breath in. He could do this. "On your marks..!" Capper rose a hand, determined eyes locking onto some of his old friends he would never see again. "Get ready...!" So this was it. Capper took another breath in, hoping this event would be as great as he hyped it up to be. "Get set...!" Alpha hovered into the air, shooting several green blasts of energy that exploded into the sky, signalling for the start of the race. "Annnnd GO!!" Capper yelled, taking off on his own Blaster Bike on the side of the track, watching as tires screeched and engines roared- if he was going to leave the Earth, he was going to do it with a bang.
The race has started! Due to less people than expected attending, everyone will be in a single thread. There will be seven rounds of posting before the winner is determined. I'll start up a separate thread and link it here for the actual race very soon!
