Sketch here, again. So, as some of you might have heard me yabbering in the Cbox, I am working on a character from a post-apocalyptic future- whom is the one I am posting with right now. It's something I know is quite "ehhhhh" if not done correctly. But it is a cool concept that I want to do right. A few of my ideas will probably be shot down or completely slaughtered, but that's okay. Trial and Error, for now. I have some ideas for him and would like some feedback before I finalize anything. As for the whole post-apocalyptic future, here are a few ideas for the catalyst.
- Several years pass, and SCAR manages to gain prominence and take control over many planets, and many of the heavy-hitters are mechanized and are now serving them. There are very few flesh and blood survivors who are still rebelling against the mechanical mayhem brought upon the universe. All of the smol kid characters in this universe have grown up as well!
- The SSE had taken over the Earth waaaaaay back during the Invasion. Everything escalated from there when the defenders of Earth were killed off, and they managed to take over the majoority of the galaxy. There's still a small earthling rebellion on Earth. Chai travels back in time one or two years and fights during the invasion and stays in the past, having nothing to go back to.
- Something with the Devil's Knights successfully taking over the galaxy. I guess they can take over the galaxy and rule over the planets with iron fists. -shrug-
And without further adieu, I will prepare for my execution as I have finished sharing my ideas about this touchy idea which will probably be slaughtered and crucified. Okay? Okay. Oh, and if you'd like the future version of your character to take part in Chai's backstory, let me know and we can work something out. Maybe they can be his mentor that will probably die or had helped him make a machine to travel back to the past. please don't kill me if i dun goofed here.

This sounds a lot like a concept I tried working with in the past, but realized, ultimately, I just wasn't fully behind the idea. But it was an idea which I always thought would be great to see on the site, which makes me excited to see you toy around with it! I personally think the second option is the most interesting, but what I did was mix the SSE winning the invasion, and then they mechanized the more prominent fighters (much like they did with Bing). That's just how I did it though, and there are a lot of fun ways to go about this. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
As for wanting to possibly use future versions of some characters, I know this great character, a magnificent character. He wears purple, and is very high energy. Maybe he could be worked in as somehow being a character in this alternate timeline, hm? Anyways, I wish you luck with this character, because not only is time travel cool, but so are anthropomorphic goats. So it's all win-win.

Anyways! I have made a rough idea of a NUTSHELLED Chai's backstory, that I would love some feedback for. This is just it's shell, I will expand on some parts myself for better detail and whatnot. Without further adieu, I give you the first draft of the edgelord goat's backstory!... although I probably dun goofed and will have to restart everything since this is a super touchy backstory idea! ouo;
Chai comes from the Fifth Universe- the world with President Gan and the more villainous ESF. He was born during the era of peace on the Earth, but by the time he was a teenager, Bing had taken hold of the planet. Chai's family was killed during the human's battle with Reikiko and Vi-Poi, along with many others as blasts of Ki and potential planet-busting attacks were exchanged between the fighters. Someone had saved him though. This person decided to take the now orphaned goat under his wing, and trained him to be able to fight on his own- the goat boy was persistant enough to make them train him, as he wanted to try to do something to help the anguished world they were in. Chai saw mass suffering on a daily basis, and grew tired of it. It became normal to see people getting mutilated or killed for rebelling against their president's rule, but even though he had grown used to seeing death and despair around him, Chai hated it all the same. He and his mentor joined the rebellion against the ESF, and were key tacticians and fighters on the battlefield. They had become a thorn in Bing's side for far too long, and some of Earth's Special Forces were sent to be rid of the traitors. Many were killed that day, including the leader of the rebellion. Few survived, but Chai managed to drag his injured mentor out of the battle and wait out the purge. He took the previous leader's place as commander, still refusing to let the world they live in die.
While he was out gathering materials, the goat zoan came across an abandoned barn in the Spinach Wastes, one of the few areas left relatively untouched by the government. The stench of death reeked inside. Walking inside, the goat zoanthrope discovered the corpse of a dead SSE boy. (-cough- Capper -cough-) (It's fine if this doesn't fly. I tried to have Chai only find Capper's corpse instead of getting to know him.) After further inspecting the body, it seemed the kid had died of starvation- he probably had not left the barn in fear of death by the Earth's warriors. It was a sad thing, but what was more interesting was what he found in the notebook the Saiyan held. Inside were notes and designs for all sorts of machinery, herbal recepies for pain relief and increased healing, but what really caught the Zoanthrope's eye was a design for a machine that could travel between universes. Was this a chance of escape? Deciding to take the chance, Chai and the rest of the Rebellion gathered together and began work on the machine. The plan was to use it to evacuate all of the rebellion's members, and anyone else who still had not lost hope. It wasn't too long before the ESF heard of the creation of the device, and stormed over to take the machine. Heck, even Bing himself had come to foil the Rebellion, once and for all. Everyone was swatted away like flies. Chai managed to activate the machine and flee before they could take it. But since he too was attacked, the Zoanthrope passed out inside the machine, unsure of where exactly it was taking him. Chai was the only one who could escape the doomed timeline with the machine. When he woke up, he would find himself in a much more peaceful Earth, but for the better or worse?
POTENTIAL POSITIONS OF THE FIFTH UNIVERSE
The Rebellion's Leader: Kaula
The leader of the fight against the Earth! They pulled together a band of rather weak fighters from the ground up, and it has grown into a massive following of fighters who refuse to give up hope. They do such a dang good job of fighting and keeping everyone going that they've been in charge of the revolt for as long as most can remember. Despite the rather weak band of fighters not having much prominence, the group manages to be a thorn in the president's side. Most of the rebellion is made of surviving SSE and Arcosian members, who have made peace in the desperate situation. There are a few Earthlings who do not like their president, and many others that want to do something to make a better world. They perish in a fight against the ESF, and Chai takes their place as leader. They were the strongest fighter in the Rebellion, and were well over 100,000 PL. An NPC will fill this slot if not taken.
Chai's Mentor: Jax Punchlust
The one who saved Chai's life during Bing's fight with Vi-Poi and Reikiko. This person raised the teenage Chai for awhile before Bing became president and ruled over the universe with tyranny. They caught ear of the revolt and decided to join in, unable to tolerate the evils going on above them. Chai joined in as well. They taught him everything he knows about fighting. The rest is flexible to your desire. An NPC will fill this slot if not taken.
Followers of the Rebellion: Collan Vixen , Fleece , Kazar Winters
OPEN TO ALL - Anyone else that follows the rebellion against Earth's Special Forces fits into this category. While none can stand up to a Super Saiyan alone, the large band of fighters is capable of surmonting threats with teamwork. Chai's friends, allies, and other teammates he met when he joined the rebellion all fit into this category. NPCs will fill slots if not taken.

If you'll allow it, the Fleece in your AU would be a freedom fighter (possible friend?) who died while working as an informant using his shapeshifting power. Could be interesting if you ever meet real Fleece, who is less than noble with his shapeshifting abilities.

This action sent him down a dark path, one where he would grow into a liar and a crook, with a gentle and helpful façade to cover up his truly ruthless and cunning intentions, he rose to power in the Arcosian Empire's security, training tirelessly in secret, keeping his raw power hidden from prying eyes... At the age of 21, he intercepted a broadcast from Earth which was from President Gan, keeping it to himself he saw an opportunity. Defrosch offered his services to the tyrant, promising to decimate the AE from the inside, unleashing a monstrous level of power while Bing's forces came in stealthily, able to quickly take down the Arcosian's strongest forces in the first battle. Oh, so I forgot to hit enter on mine, but I know Jax's poofed. : Kaula's family on Earth had always been a bit weary of President Bing when he took power. When they had learned of their attack on the Saiyan Solar Empire, the young and eager Kaula was more than happy to spring into action with her aunts and cousins to go provide assistance to their family on Vegeta. They arrived in the middle of the battle - and it was a brutal one. Kaula ended up being enough of a nuisance that President Bing himself set off to take care of her. During their extremely one-sided battle Kaula was forced into a false Super Saiyan state in order to try to protect her family. Till Bing had decided he had grown tired of their battle. He fired a powerful blast at the group - but due to her aunt's quick thinking, Kaula was spared from it (mostly). Her head had been struck by a large piece of Shrapnel. With her Aunt and Cousins dead - Kaula's grief overcame her and she was forced into the true Super Saiyan state. She still proved to be too weak against Bing. He took her right arm and left her for dead. However death would not come for Kaula - her mother, who happened to survive the battle, retrieved her daughter and nursed her back to health. Years later, Kaula has managed to ascend past that of a normal Saiyan and has developed a form the likes of which this universe has never seen (Super Saiyan 2). She leads one of the larger bands of rebels against President Bing called the Crimson Strikers. Protruding from her forehead like a single, large horn, was a large piece of shrapnel. Her right arm, newly made thanks to a Tuffle by the name of Icarus, is now Robotic. And it'd be mostly Icarus who helped Chai rebuild the machine. |

Leader of the Rebellion, Articho Reville: Originally, a follower of Bing's who fought alongside the tyrant in bringing down the SSE and the Arcosian Empire. He was not without his doubts, though, as he found Bing's methods, mannerisms, and sheer brutality off putting in a leader and hero. The only thing that kept him in the ranks of Bing's army was the weak justification that it was all for the greater good to keep Earth safe and secure.
Articho stayed by Bing's side through each bloody battle, his loyalty to the tyrant growing more and more strained as time went on. It didn't take long for the straw that broke the camel's back to rear its ugly head: Articho witnessed first hand as Bing murdered a Saiyan child in cold blood. He snapped and began berating Bing for what he had just done and all of the choices he'd made leading up to that point, only for Bing to turn on Articho. The young hybrid would have died that day had he not been shoved out of the way of the beam. He fell to the ground and turned to see a man, his father, staring at him with extreme urgency and uttering a single word before Bing's beam vaporized him.
Go.
Articho fled Vegeta and returned to Earth, where he quickly went into hiding with his mother. For years, he operated in the shadows, fighting back against Bing with his ever growing band of rebels for years, ascending to forms never before achieved by Saiyans (SSJ2) in his efforts to save the galaxy from Bing's reign.

So in this timeline BBA went bust against the Z-Fighters?  I'd like it if Evil Pres. Bing kept Vi-Poi's busted head in a drawer somewhere, and sorta chat with it when he was feeling down. Vi can still nag him that way. What happened to the SSE and Arcose in this timeline? Did SSE never attack Earth? When in the timeline did Bing take over? |

I LOVE this idea mostly because of the general idea of involving others that could create so many interesting interpretations. This forum already has a rich story board so I'd love to see what it would be like if it went the other way. If you're looking for a minor (or major *hint* ..kidding.) antagonist to fill any plot holes, I'd be honoured if Levlidian was able to help you out there. If its not obvious, I love ideas like this so if I can help in anyway or support it in anyway I'm there. But this is about the idea, I love it (doubling that up just to make the point clear, GJ Lev' *facepalm*), this must be written, I wish to read it.  *pushes the energy drink away and pats the top* think i've had enough. |
