Thread PL: 165,230 ( Treylech) Raisu flew over the Tenka’ichi Budokai Grounds, looking down as he went. He didn’t see Treylech, or even sense his ki signature yet. Good, he thought, he managed to get here first. Not that it surprised him. He could, after all, fly. A handy talent indeed. It was particularly nice for admiring the view, as he was doing now. He’d never been to the tournament grounds before, though he had seen them on television. He never had much of a chance as a child, so he’d best enjoy the sights now. It was kind of strange. Raisu never imagined he’d set foot here, much less fight here. One never really thought about places seen on television like that. They seemed so distant. Finally, Raisu landed and looked about him. Where to fight? As he flew over, he clearly saw a few available rings. Not the mainstage, of course, but something for sparring was certainly available for use. Raisu walked around the grounds until he finally came to an available ring. This one would do just nicely, he decided. Raisu began to stretch. No need to go into a fight unprepared, even if Raisu was certain he could win without much effort. He wouldn’t even bother with his weights for this fight. This was more about teaching someone a lesson than improving himself. Not a bad lesson, just one about the world and ki at large. Raisu finished his stretching and made his way to the edge of the ring. Now all he could do was wait for Treylech. Hopefully he’d make good on their agreement and he wasn’t out stealing for food from convenience stores. Of course, Raisu would like to think the best of Trey. He would see in time.

Treylech stepped off the ferry to see the entrance to the Tenka'ichi Budokai grounds and smirked. He got extremely lucky. He convinced the man that was taking tickets that he was important.
Not only did he get access to the VIP area, but he also gained access to the all you can eat buffet. He wasn't hungry anymore, and he wasn't being accused of theft. Two wins for the ripe old price of nothing.
He saw a group of fighters wherever he turned. It brought back memories. He was torn for a moment, but he shrugged it off. He was surrounded by tournament fighters. Weakness was the last thing he wanted people to see in him.
It doesn't take him long to figure out where Raisu went. In all honesty, he was surprised Raisu showed up. Then again, he would have been disappointed if he wouldn't have gotten his fight.
He steps up to the side of the ring and stretches. "You know, I'm actually impressed you showed up. Kind of surprised you got here so quick, but I've seen you run."

Raisu shrugged and grinned at him.
"I tend to impress."
Raisu laughed and stood up from his perch. He stepped closer to Treylech and looked him in the eyes before bowing to him. Best to show respect before a fight. He'd learned that much and tried to live by it, though not all his foes gave him the chance. Like BREU or Breech. Now those were a bunch of assholes. Whatever response Trey gave, Raisu would part from him in a moment and step up into the ring.
"I'm ready when you are."
Raisu would enjoy this. He'd take it easy at first, try and gauge his foe's true strength. Perhaps he was hiding a few surprises? It was hard to tell with people these days. Everyone seemed to be hiding layers of true power. Hell, Raisu himself was guilty of it.

A bow of mutual respect? That was new. As often as Treylech had fought people before, hardly any of them showed any signs of respect.
Then again, most of that could probably be because of the group of people he used to hang out with. It wasn't like he intended to be a rebellious child, but he wound up in a lot of bad situations.
Regardless, he returned the bow. Raisu had earned his respect. This time he didn't speak to be cocky, but to joke around.
"If you want to back down, I won't argue." Treylech shrugs in a very sarcastic manner to show he is joking.
To be completely honest, he already worked out the answer in his head. He just wanted to hear Raisu's resolve. He was looking forward to this fight, not knowing what was truly in store.

Raisu shot Treylech a grin. No, Raisu would not back down now. He'd aleady bowed. It was too late. And besides, that Saiyan part of him was coming alive now. Raisu liked to fight. Even if Raisu had a distinct advantage, it would be fun. It was good to be able to fight recreationally for once.
"Nah, I'm excited now. Hit me with your best shot!"
Raisu held his arms wide, like he was trying to catch the sky. Was he getting cocky? Perhaps. It was hard not too when he was excited. And besides, maybe Trey would surprise him. He could use a wake-up call right about now. And, if he didn't surprise Raisu, Raisu could still give him the courtesy of a full fight instead of going for a knockout punch.

That was exactly what Treylech wanted to hear. He wanted this fight. He wanted to feel pain. It made him feel alive. It kept him going.
The crazy part is, a lot of his disbelief was him hoping he was proven wrong, although he'd never admit it. Flight? Ki? It seemed a little farfetched, but not impossible.
His mother used to read him all kinds of stories about fantasy worlds. He couldn't help but wonder if he lived in one.
Then again, part of him hoped he didn't. He wasn't sure if he could handle the world being anything more than it already was to him.
Treylech raised his hands, preparing himself for the fight. It was about time for them to start. Or maybe it was overdue.
A deep exhale.
Treylech took off in a run, closing the gap between them, although it wasn't nearly as fast as what Raisu was capable of, though.
He came in pulling his right fist back as a fake, and following through with a solid left jab. If he hit, he would bring his right in for a hit to the stomach, then again for a knock back hit.

Trey was fast, faster than a regular human. Raisu had to give him that much credit. He closed the gap quite nicely, approaching Raisu with the intent to attack him, an action he was clearly familiar with. He opened with a fake, a decent one. It certainly surprised Raisu, who had expected his foe to just lay into him plain and simple. Treylech instead opted for a left jab.
Raisu could have dodged. It wouldn't have been hard at all. Instead, Raisu let the blow connect, striking him in the jaw. His head turned a little with the force of the blow, but he stood strong against it. But Trey wasn't done yet. He drove his right fist into Raisu's stomach.
Raisu again stood strong against the blow, even if this one stung a bit. But now it was Raisu's turn. He would be quick about his retaliation. No need for fancy techniques, at least not yet. Raisu stepped even closer to Trey, closing the already small gap between them even more. Raisu reared his head back and lunged forward, attempting to his Trey's skull with his own. Very rarely was this a good idea on his part, but Raisu had come to appreciate the headbutt for what it was. As harmful as it usually was for him, all but the most stalwart of opponents usually faltered a bit in the face of such an attack. Hopefully, his blow would connect.

(Now we have combat. So much smoother for me. This is my specialty. Also, I did the calculations. Treylech is roughly 1.18% of Raisu's power. Gonna be super one sided. The only way he could win is if Raisu let him. Lol. Poor hooman.)
This seemed too easy. His first 2 strikes connected. He could judge from the reaction that it was having minimal effect, though.
It got to him. He was holding back a little, but not enough to seriously hinder himself in the fight. He felt everything about his movement slow down as he realized what was going on.
He saw Raisu's head shift backwards a few centimeters. The call sign for a headbutt. He wasn't ready. His third strike went right by Raisu's head.
It was already set in motion and it was far too quick to dodge. He almost didn't see it coming. He shifted his foot back and tried to move his torso around to sidestep, but he felt it collide with his temple as he shifted around.
Pain. There it was again. And it was intense. His body already being in motion, he couldn't help but stagger a few steps as well. He kept his balance and recovered quickly...
Sort of...
He went to step back in, but his legs quit functioning and his relentless string of attacks faltered. He took a swing that was far too high and wide. It wasn't anywhere near his designated target.
Where? Where was his designated target? His world spun. He couldn't take another hit like that. He couldn't dodge another hit like that, either.
He saw the outcome already.

(Lol, yeah. But hey, should be fun anyway! I enjoy Trey's reactions to things.)
The two skulls collided, like rocks being bashed together. There was a ringing in Raisu's ears, and his mind felt oddly cloudy for a moment. Briefly, visions of other foes flashed through his mind: Breech, Natto, assorted faceless goons... He shook his head and looked about him. Trey had certainly got the worst of that, at least as far as Raisu could see. So what Raisu was feeling was the true extent of Trey's power after all. Interesting, he thought. The once-thief certainly had potential, though. He carried himself well. When he wasn't dazed by a headbutt that was.
Raisu watched Treylech for a moment. This fight would be over quickly if Raisu kept hitting him like that. And sure, it would certainly prove his point if he knocked him out right away, it just wouldn't be fun. And besides, he'd yet to show off ki. He'd best start that. And Raisu knew how to be subtle about it. Or not. Depends on whether one considers forcing oneself into another's mind subtle or not. It was certainly more so than shooting a raw beam of energy at him.
"Hey man, you need a breather? Seems like I hit you pretty hard."
Raisu projected those words into Trey's mind using his mastery of telepathy to communicate non-verbally with his foe. That usually got a response from those unaccustomed to it. Of course, he had just hit the man's head. Who knew how that would affect him?

A voice. Raisu's voice. Where was it coming from? His words echoed through a sea of unease.
What did he say?
"You hit.....my car.....? YOU SON OF A- wait, I don't even have a shovel...Stop...Stop trying to confuse me!"
Treylech couldn't fully wrap his mind around the fact that he was headbutted or the fact that he has a fully functioning body. He saw food. He wasn't hungry, but he reached for it anyways.
His hands didn't touch anything. He grasped at air as he watched his fingers go through the meal before him.
"What kind of voodoo magic....?"
Raisu was messing with him. Treylech wasn't sure how. He pointed off to Raisu's side, but still in the right general direction.
"You're a bad man."

Raisu raised an eyebrow and looked at Treylech with some concern and a questioning look. Raisu was a bad man? Well, perhaps it was not right of him to force his voice into Trey's mind. But that didn't make him bad, at least in his mind.
What was more is that Trey did not seem to be completely there. Did Raisu hit him too hard? Probably. But he would see where this was going.
"Come and get me then."

Treylech hadn't actually seen food. He had seen stars. He had them in his sight. They were surrounded by something.
Pain. The stars hid among waves of pain. He was stable enough, but feigned his dizzy state. He staggered forward.
"R-right." He struggled to stay upright. Two steps and a short stagger forward, a lean back as though regaining balance, and a swing forward with a headbutt of his own were his retaliation.

He could move just fine. Well, not fine, but he still had some control over his motor functions. That was good. Maybe he had a concussion. Now that is something he would feel bad about if that were the case. Raisu didn't want to hurt the guy, at least not badly. That was just a hazard of their hobby: pain and injury. Raisu needed to exercise self-control in a situation like this. And he needed to watch himself, as was evident by Trey's new approach: a headbutt of his own. Raisu sighed. He couldn't let Trey do that. It would just make things worse.
Of course, he could probably sidestep Trey with ease. The man was moving with little precision. But Raisu felt he had more to show in-terms of ki. So, he did what anybody else who was capable with moving with such speed would do: he readied his afterimage technique. Ki flooded his body as he burst up and around the attack, leaving a still image of himself in his place.
"Hey man, maybe you shouldn't try and use your head..."
Raisu spoke as he stood behind the man, waiting for his ki enhanced image and speed to leave him.
[SU1] Afterimage used. Sitting at 2/3 KP is we want to use the KP system.

(He's not very book smart, but clever in a fight.)
Treylech couldn't show weakness. He shook off the numb sensation in his forehead. He was fine, or rather he led himself to believe as much.
To tell the truth his confusion came when he lost track of his opponent. "What the?
He was cut off as Raisu spoke up from behind him.
'He's fast. I didn't even see him move...'[/b] He didn't look directly at Raisu. He simply stood up straight again.
"I'm impressed. You're quick and powerful. But I'm working out a strategy." He pops his knuckles. "Time to stop playing."

Treylech was persistent. Raisu had to give him that. A lot of people would have given up by now, in the face of such an opponent. It was stupid of him, yes, but it was a quality that they shared. Raisu had thrown himself at his fair share of stronger opponents. Rarely did it end well, but he did it anyway. Raisu looked at Trey, some sort of mixture of respect and pity. Raisu knew the path he was walking.
"Alright then, let's see it. But I think you're gonna have to think about this a lot harder..."
And with that, Raisu jumped up and levitated in the air, floating to at least twice his own height. He looked down at Trey expectantly, arms folded. Raisu was grinning now. However Trey would deal with this would be interesting.
