Hey everyone I've been tinkering with this idea, and I wanted to take a polling of the site to see if it'd be something even worthwhile before I brought up a proposal to staff. One of the problems we're going over, is how to deal with End Game state players when most of the game is still in the early-middle. Dealing with this, we've slowed a lot of the progression down in endgame. But I think we should further incentivize cooling down your character once they reach the true end of progression at 500k base PL. What if we incentivized people with a program to 'seal' their character and boost another, as long as that character is less than 100k PL. This will be a boon of something like 40,000 PL. The sealed character wouldn't go inactive, but their PL gains would forever freeze. What are yalls thoughts on this?

Would it be optional?

Yes, totally. It's a voluntary cap that is rewarded upon activation.

Aight then I say sure, could say a demon activate the cap at a later time if they wanted?

Would the cap be able to be lifted or modified or something, if one finds out that thr capped level is not enough for them?

That's an awesome idea! I really liked it. If people decide to keep on grinding power after the suggested endgame, the gains should be really low as another incentive to take this road.
I'm all for it!

Not against a pl cap at all, I mean even goku before going ss guys thought he couldn't go any further. Makes sense to me!

I think it's a good idea. I also think Natto's idea of lesser gains for top "tier" characters would help incredibly as well.

I could get behind that. I think it's a cool idea.
One question, though, that I want to throw out there just to clear the air: if a character is sealed, they still count towards the three character per person cap, correct?

Only problem I see with this is that certain people wouldn't have their characters sealed, thus, one guy becomes uber powerful while others are stuck at 500k.

then make it a hard cap at 500k but then you get extremely small gains toward a modifier boost up or some other type of bonus. A rolling top five list with those within it receiving a 25%-30% decrease in PL gained would help keep the site more balanced in the longer run of things. Im in favor of a combination of what Vi you have here and what Nicolas posted inside of the other thread for a system that sets up for a more fair stuff.
Best Canon example of power plateauing is Goku toward te end of Z and into GT which I know isn't canon anymore but his SSJ3 was a plateau. Instead of himself getting even stronger exponentially like he had been even he plateaud off even with training with the reincarnation of majin buu who if it was the og series would of pushed him so hard he should've been able to toss planets about.

I believe a final cap of 500k is fair. If needed then we can come up with alternative ways to push further beyond that, like super Saiyan God and stuff.
What mayze said makes sense, so we could either lock everyone or make the gains really low, like 10% natural gain, and restrict towards threads with equally powerful people, since they would need a decent challenge in order to grow.

I personally don't want a cap, mainly because humans would be the most powerful at that point, and no one would be able to surpass them.

actually, depending on limitations, androids would become the power gamer's dream. Since everyone else hard caps at 500k, they could simply go for zenny gains and continue to modify themselves to oblivion.
I can't say either way whether there shouldn't be a hard cap or not, nor would many people take kindly to me having an opinion on the situation to begin with x.x; Just remember that well... With a cap... what difference is there between Souls and World of Warcraft?

What modifications are you referring to Zod?
I'm not for a hard cap on everyone, and gains are further reduced at 500k -- none of your bonuses, including item/gravity/etc ever operate, and if you are top site PL or very near it, you will experience the new major drag we've implemented.
At that level of endgame you are expected to be advancing your character in other ways than gaining raw power -- politically, spending money on your Faction and its members, through Minions/Guards, etc.
