Following Tulip with an air of optimistic melancholy, Tomoyo was at least determined to try whatever Tulip had set aside for them to work on. Closely mimicking the steps of the older, Tomo was quick to follow the girl into the bamboo forest once more before they came across a particularly large clump of bamboo. Sitting in silence, Tomo quietly glanced around to see where Tulip was keeping the tools that she'd use to cut down the stalks like a knife or sword or saw...
Only for his eyes to widen in surprise as she managed to cut them all down in a single sweep with just her hand! "WOAH! How did you do that!?" Exclaimed the exited kid, his previous misgivings completely swept away under the stupor of excitement. Looking on in awe at the cleanly cut, thick stocks, Tomo was practically blown away as the girl continued on moving foreward and casually chopping down patch after patch with little to no difficulty before prompting Tomo to do it himself?!
Go in there and chop down some bamboo. Copy what I was doing and you’ll be fine.
Staring down at his hands, wondering if he could do it, Tomo decided to at the very least try. Hopping over to the patch that Tulip had pointed out, the Saiyan hybrid child breifly stared down at his open palm once more before slamming it against one of the particularly large stalks of bamboo...
THUNK
"OW!" Only to have his hand harmlessly bounce off while wincing in pain, the appendage throbbing a swollen red under the sudden pressure. "Ow ow ow ow ow!" Whimpered Tomoyo while holding his hand in hopes of toning down the pain. An angered expression overcoming the child, Tomoyo threw his other hand in a chopping motion at the bamboo fueled by his angered ki by accident...
And the result was a straight line of obliteration as a blast of yellow ki erupted from the child's hand and decimated nearly 5 meter's worth of foliage. "..." Eyes widened and stunned, Tomoyo shrieked at hearing Tulip calling to check up before staring back at the decimation in fear of what would happen.
"...oopsie?"

“Ah.” The woman sighed, a look of weary amusement crossing her face. Walking over to the clearing that Tomoyo had completely obliterated, the woman knelt down and touched the smoking remains near the ground. Rising to her feet, she rubbed the ashes and sap between her fingertips. This entire situation was…amusing.
“Watch this, Tomoyo. This’ll be the only thing I teach you today.” The woman wiped her hand clean on the back of Tomoyo’s shirt, before holding out her hands. Focusing on her palms, a gray aura became visible to both of them. “Envision your hand not as destroying the branch but passing through, as if to strike something behind.”
Stepping towards a patch of bamboo stalks, the woman narrowed her focus. It was more difficult to explain and demonstrate than just do it on instinct. Taking one stride forward into the patch, she shot one palm forward, sending her fist through two stalks in one shot. Sliding to one side with her other foot, she sliced to the side with her other hand, cutting three more stalks down. By the time the first stalk slammed into the earth, the woman was already turning away. Lowering her hands, she spoke again.
“Using your power in a precise, smooth manner will enable you to do incredible things. Punching through metal, air, and soul is only the start. That’s your pile, by the way, Tomo-” Her explanation was cut short as the last bamboo stalk she had cut fell towards her. It slammed into her head, eliciting a string of curses from the young woman. Grabbing the bamboo stalk, she snapped it in half with knee and slammed both pieces more than halfway into the earth. After catching her breath from her sudden outburst, the young woman turned back towards Tomoyo.
“Sorry about that sudden outburst. That’s your pile. Take it back into the city and sell it to the carpenter there. It can fetch a good price.”

Shutting his eyes, Tomo waited in tensed silence for Tulip to get mad at him for his mistake and punch him in the gut or something like his mom as punishment... but it never came? Instead she was... smiling? "Y-you mean you're not... mad?" He hesitantly questioned, trying to see if maybe he was misreading signals here and Tulip would backhand him at the last second or something!
...but that backhand never came! Instead she stuck out her hand once more and was showing Tomo how to do it! "..." The hybrid child could only watch on in surprised silence and bated breath as he observed her demonstration to the best of his ability. After seeing her effortlessly cut through several more stalks himself, Tomo was still somewhat shocked. "Is this... training?" He pondered in his brain, still utterly confused by the experience. "B-But its nice!"
The conflicted child turned and opened his palm once more, looking on back at Tulip after seeing her demonstration before turning to the stalk. Ramming his open palm through the bamboo shoot, Tomo flexed his ki into his hand trying to cut it just like her... but the result was the same as another 5 meters of forest was completely obliterated to ash under his explosive ki. "I'mSorryI'mSorryI'mSorryI'mSorryI'mSorry!!!" The child hastily cried out to the older girl, pleading on his knees almost that she didn't get mad after being on the verge of tears.
His eyes now widened at the sight, Tomo's mouth wordlessly hung open as he trailed the last stalk of bamboo falling down from behind the older Saiyan and right onto her head with a sickening thumb. Scrambling back from the resulting plant violence Tulip wreaked onto it, Tomo was scared even more for a second that the anger would be directed back at him soon enough afterwards; until letting out a half-sigh of relief when she calmed down a few seconds later.
Sorry about that sudden outburst. That’s your pile.
She was... apologizing to him? This entire experience was so weird it was almost wrong in a way. Tulip was acting so nice it almost scared him more than his mom's harsh attitudes... but nevertheless, the child returned the smile before heading over to pick up the bundle that Tulip had pointed out. "This one right?" Tomo sought to confirm while hoisting the pile of bamboo onto his head and balancing it there. "...does that mean I have to go now?"
A look of concern once more crossed the child's face before a thought occurred to him. He really didn't want to lose his new friend; heck she was almost like what Tomo had imagined having an older sister would be like, maybe more than Teku! So it was no surprise when he asked only moments later: "Can I come back again, Tuli?"

“Can I come back again, Tuli?”
The woman surveyed the ruin of Tomoyo’s attempt to use the technique she had shown him. She sighed audibly and strolled over to her pile. Picking it up with one hand and throwing it over one shoulder, Tulip walked over to the young boy. She ruffled his hair and knelt next to him. Pointing over to the smoldering remains of his attempt at slicing bamboo, the woman spoke wruly. “Gotta teach you the proper way to cut through your opponents, kiddo. Feel free to come back whenever you want to impress me with your progress, have some burnt bear meat, or need someone to wash your back. Is it okay for me to visit that tower you spoke of? Better clean it up before I get there, of course.” The young female grinned, white teeth flashing in the dim sunlight. Her emerald gaze met Tomoyo’s, as she hugged the little guy firmly and ruffled his hair again. Then she spoke softly, just loud enough for the boy to barely hear. “Don’t be afraid to ask me for help, Tomoyo. I don’t know what happened in your past, but no kid should have a fear for training. Not like yours. If I can change that in any way...you know where I live.” The woman released the hug, before standing up. Her stomach audibly growled, and she sighed. “Next time you visit, make sure to bring a snack. My cooking skills...aren’t that great.” Tulip grudgingly admitted, a slight blush on her cheeks. She resecured the bundle of bamboo and began walking towards the path out of the forest.
“You coming or not, Tomoyo?”

At first afraid that Tulip would for some reason say no to his request, Tomo cast his gaze downwards while waiting to hear the girl's response... only to look up in surprise once more as her answer was the complete opposite.
Feel free to come back whenever you want to impress me with your progress
Nodding his head at the request, Tears forming in his eyes now from joy instead of sadness, Tomo discarded his pile of bamboo before leaping into Tulip's embrace. "Thank you Tuli~" He whimpered in her arms while hugging the girl as tight as he could, just so happy that he could come back and see her again. Matching the white grin of the older with his own wet smile, Tomoyo's brown eyes met her emerald as he confidently grinned back. "Yeah! You can come over any time you want!" He exclaimed, excited now for the prospect of having Tulip come and see the house he and Teku set up all by themselves!
When the subject of training came back up though, Tomo visibly tensed up in her grip for a few moments before slowly relaxing back into Tulip's embrace. So she really did care about him huh? Silently nodding to her assumptions, Tomo shook his head yes to let the older girl know just how much he trusted her.
If I can change that in any way...you know where I live.
"I promise I will~" Tomo exclaimed through his glossed eyes, tears slowly sliding down his cheek until he hastily rubbed them away with his sleeve. After breaking the hug and hoisting the package of shoots back onto his head, the hybrid child's feet pattered against the moist dirt as he hurried on to walk out with Tulip. ...was this what it was like to have an older sister?
"...Tuli?" He drew the attention of the older hybrid as they began heading on the path that would slowly split as they would soon go their separate way.
"You're the best ever!"

The woman didn't respond, only smiling softly as she continued down the path towards the city.
