Tomoyo lied down on his sofa feeling quite tired. In the past few days ever since arriving on earth he'd had so many things happen to him; he'd almost died, he climbed a tower, he almost died, he started living in the lower part of the tower, he almost died, he made a bunch of friends~ " I like this place, it always brings me new friends." The boy exclaimed aloud as he stared up at the bottom of the tower's ceiling above him. Currently the boy had a blanket wrapped on top of him and had a book propped up in front of him that he was reading from. The book in question wasn't even something he had picked up or bought, It was just something he had just found by chance while dusting through the dirty corners of the abandoned tower. The title of it read "Groundbreaking Science" in curly brown letters and looked almost like it would break by holding it wrong. The pages were fringed, the inking was faded almost beyond readability in some places, and the front and back covers as well as MANY pages were ripped off or gone entirely. When Tomoyo flipped the book onto its side to read the edge for the author, the letters were mostly faded (who would have guessed?) with only the characters "S_- Co-c;n" visible. Figuring he might as well try to check it out, Tomoyo spent the next few minutes until now just skimming the pages. Of what he could read, the boy had managed to figure out that whatever it was happened to be some kind of book detailing how ki works or something. Every so often it would mention some disjointed event or story or something, but without any pictures or visual aids the boy lost interest and just ended up skipping to further pages that weren't as faded or disjointed. After a while, getting bored with the relic of a book; Tomoyo discarded it to the side where it slid onto the table next to his sofa before he once more began staring at the ceiling. " ...I'm bored." [Thread PL: 30,793 | Heavy Weights on, weighted PL: 7,698 ]
Lately, Hinawa saw one weird thing after the other. First, that temple... she refused to believe that she actually saw it - simply a nightmare. Then, that huge, gigantic tree - a tree that reached the heavens... Endless caves of ice and snow under her new home. Simply put, ever since she had decided to stop hiding and try to live once more, her life had gotten a lot more interesting than ever before - and for the first time in her life, she had a bunch of friends she cared for and felt accepted by. Simply put, life was good, even if trying to heal Emer from his hatred was proving to be the hardest task she ever undertook.
And to make sure she could do that, she'd have to be able to fulfill her new promise to him - which meant she needed more and more training, and not only from him. In fact, the more she trained with him, the more she'd always stay one step behind him as his star pupil - no, she had to improve on her own to exceed him. And while she was at it, she'd also exceed Levlidian, make sure to stay ahead of Taro, and become the best martial artist in the world - nobody could ever accuse her of not dreaming big. So it was time to find yet another new training ground!
And that search ended up leading her to yet another fantastical sight she never would've suspected to even exist. As she flew over a lush, green forest, looking for some clearing, she noticed a weird line on the horizon, vertical going up. It was no smoke, it was too straight for it... But way too thin to be another giant tree, and it seemed to be white! Rushing towards it in a low flight right above the canopy, the fox girl's kimono with the weighted top, sleeves and boots underneath fluttered in the wind. She was starting to get used to this clothing, and it should soon produce the exact results she wanted!
As she moved closer, Hinawa had trouble believing her own eyes. Her fox ears twitched slightly as she looked up the giant tower from the ground after landing, laying her head back as far as she could. The tower disappeared into the clouds, completely disappearing from sight! Her blue eyes got a red shimmer as she looked up. There was... something... nearby, but the distance made her sense for it fuzzy and uncertain. For all she knew, it could be a demon like the dreaded being Pipa, or a harmless kitten, but it was certainly coming from above. Well, she had not tested how fast she could actually fly straight up for a while... Concentrating on her Bukujutsu, Hinawa soared up into the air, shooting into the cloud lair not even a second after lifting off.
Racing up next to the tower, she quickly noticed how impossible this structure really was. As far as she could tell, it was perfectly straight, and while it wasn't thin, it also was far from thick enough to actually stand like this. The winds up here alone should be enough to cause it to break, let alone an actual storm - there was some sort of magic at work, her intuition as a priestess in training was clear on that! The aura became clearer now - an aura stronger than Levlidian when they had first met, though it didn't feel particularly dark or bloodthirsty at all. It felt... innocent and eager, really. Rushing faster, something came into view far above her that absolutely cemented the impossibility of this place.
A large, circular building of sorts, which should've been catching enough wind to destroy the tower completely. But now that she was getting closer to it at rapid speeds, the winds actually seemed to... lessen? The building-like structure at the top of the tower was even open to all sides! Curious, Hinawa flew over the railing, landing inside of the tower's one massive room. There was this aura here, she could feel it. Was this being responsible for the magic protection of this place? Possibly.
"Hello? Anyone here?"

When a girl's voice suddenly echoed through the empty Tower Room, Tomoyo's eyes lit up. Was Tekuma back to play again?! "Tekuuu!" He yelled out in happiness before jumping off the couch in a hurry.
What Tomoyo didn't quite account for in this action was the fact he was still relatively snuggled in the wrappings of his blanket, resulting in the boy spectacularly falling onto the floor off the frame of the sofa. "MMMHMMPH!" He cried out under the muffled sheets as Tomoyo completely wrapped himself in the sheets as his body continued moving foreward, rolling along the floor like some sort of blanket mummy before he came to a stop at Hinawa's feet.
Rolling over so that the front of him faced upward, Tomo's face became visibly unobscured by the blankets he was wrapped in as he stared up at Hinawa's kimono and face.
"...you're not Tekuma?" He finally uttered, now wondering who this new person was.

Hinawa was actually startled a bit at what happened. Looking down at the bundle at her feet with a slightly alarmed expression, her fox-ears twitched rapidly in utter confusion. The source of this power... was a child?! This kid was stronger than Levlidian back during their first fight! Tilting her head slightly like a confused small animal, the young woman shook her head slowly. She most certainly wasn't this Tekuma the child spoke of. And why did this kid live on top of a tower in the middle of nowhere that kicked all laws of physics in the shins and had a comfy sofa up here, with tons of blankets? So, so many questions...
"N-no. My name's Hinawa." She was too surprised at this to be snarky. The kid seemed to be in quite the bind, so the Kitsune leaned down and actually helped untie the blanket mummy a bit so he could actually get out of them. This was just getting weirder by the second... A little kid in a giant amount of blankets. "I noticed a larger power signature up here, so I flew by to check. Seems like you're the source of it, kid. What's your name?"
Well, how else were you supposed to start a conversation with a kid living on top of a giant tower? She wouldn't even know how to talk to a normal person, let alone one as odd as this kid.

After dealing with the mess that was the dreaded "blanket burrito", Tomoyo finally was able to stand up with Hinawa's help. Breathing a sigh of relief at not being constrained anymore, the child did not even falter for a moment before turning back to the girl. "Hi! I'm Tomoyo! I'm 11 years old." The hybrid introduced himself, smiling a friendly as he would in any other situation.
Aaaand, that was when he noticed the fox tail and fox ears. "Woaaaaaaaah!" He exclaimed aloud, eyes practically sparkling in intrigue at seeing such a majestic person/animal hybrid. "Your so pretty." Walking closer to the girl, standing practically an inch away from her, the hybrid child could not be any more obvious as he blatantly stared at her white ears growing out of the girl's hair. "Are those real?" Tomoyo innocently questioned, trying to imagine how she had gotten such pretty and fluffy appendages.
Still, there was something that threw Tomoyo off again that he hadn't expected the newcomer to say.
I noticed a larger power signature up here, so I flew by to check. Seems like you're the source of it, kid.
"That's just like that weird guy said..." Tomo echoed in his head, pondering on the similarity between the statements made by this person and the other human he had met a few days prior... Shrugging it off as just a coincidence, the child simply gave Hinawa an apologetic smile before replying just as he did before. "Nah, I'm not strong. I'm just Tomo!" He declared before deciding to distract himself by putting away the blankets he had spread across the floor into the chest of drawers positioned a few feet away.
"Welcome to my house, Hinawa. Want something to drink?"

Almost as if in response, when Hinawa was asked if her ears were real, they twitched slightly. Tilting her head in confusion, she needed a bit to actually process this kid. So... he was Tomoyo, an 11 year old child that was stronger than normal warriors of the Saiyan Empire. A really friendly, happy kid, living on top of a sky tower. At this point, she wouldn't be surprised if a literal god lived here too. Now THAT would be a laugh! But she didn't believe in gods, despite being a priestess in training. To her, being a 'priestess' meant knowing the truth behind the secrets of ki manipulation.
"W-well... nice to meet you, Tomoyo. And sure, I'll take a drink..." She was so caught off-guard by this that she couldn't even be mad at being called pretty! Shaking her head slightly still, her tail waved from side to side slightly. "And yeah, those are real. I'm a Kitsune." Explaining a bit about what she was, she simply wondered why this kid was so strong and able to live up here. Walking a bit away from the railing, she looked around a bit more - an actual drawer, too. Yeah, this place was actually a nice place to live! Damn, she needed a better living arrangement for herself.
"So Tomo, do you live up here all alone? Or are your parents around too?"
She hoped that he wasn't yet ANOTHER orphan. The damn constant wars and tragedies on Earth were generating way too many of them, herself included.

Reaching down into the ice bucket Tomo kept sitting in his fridge, the Saiyan hybrid briefly shuffled around among the cubes of frozen water before pulling out a cold bottle of water. Replacing the metal pail back in its place on one of the shelves, Tomoyo shut the fridge door before turning back and bounding over to where Hinawa was situated.
"Here ya go!" Tomoyo exclaimed happily while extending his arm out to offer Hinawa the drink. Beaming at the kitsune, Tomo couldn't help but pop the question. "Woah, it's so cool! Can I touch it?" A purely innocent look of intrigue written across his face, Tomoyo's eyes gleamed in the light as they stared at the rhythmically swaying tail and occasionally twitching ears in the possession of the human.
Whether or not he got to feel the furry appendages, Tomoyo would walk back over to the sofa before plopping down on the worn furniture to the rightmost side. Patting the cushion next to him with both hands, Tomoyo prompted the girl to come closer and sit down with him.
So Tomo, do you live up here all alone? Or are your parents around too?
...now... that was the million dollar question. While it was true that Tomo was really the only person that stayed there, other people sometimes visited as well. Tekuma came and went, but she hardly stayed very long... "Well... I guess kinda? There's miss god up there, but she's busy a lot and I don't see her a lot." Tomoyo admitted before now coming to the topic of his parents. Jeez, why did so many people keep bringing them up! Didn't they see how much it upset Tomo to make him think of his parents and how he abandoned his mom on an alien planet and cut off contact with his dad!
And so Tomoyo opted for the simple response that was as vague as possible. "Um... They're... 'not around' anymore."
Scratching his head while trying to put on a brave smile, Tomoyo tilted his head to the side while halfheartedly beaming at the kitsune and trying to change the subject quickly. "Hey Hina, wanna play a game?"

"E-eh? Please don't, they're sensitive." Well, that was the first time anyone had ever asked to actually touch her ears or tail, but she didn't like that idea one bit. Her tail actually twitched upwards a bit at the idea, but at least the kid seemed well-behaved enough to not do it anyway. Taking the bottle of water, Hinawa took a drink - wonderfully cold. She really found herself enjoying everything cold nowadays. Sitting down next to the kid with grace and a lightness in her step that betrayed her slightly animal-like nature, she tilted her head slightly at his words. Another orphan, then - or someone left alone. Either option wasn't that nice.
...Wait, Miss God? Did someone live ABOVE here? How was that even possible? Her eyes shifted to red for a moment... And yep, someone was above them. Someone powerful. Hinawa quickly dropped her senses, trying to digest that. Did an ACTUAL Kami live above this place?! No, those were fairytales! But someone lived in the sky here, which was just crazy. Hinawa looked back at Tomo and gave him an understanding smile - she actually reached up to ruffle his hair a bit. "You're a lot like me then, my family isn't around anymore either. But hey, as long as you've got friends that's no problem, right?"
She actually smiled when Tomo asked her if she wanted to play a game. When was the last time she actually played instead of fighting, training and having fun that way? "Sure, let's play a game. Gonna apologize in advance if I'm a bit rusty, though. I haven't gotten much chance to play in a few years." agreeing with a small laugh, she wondered what kind of game the boy had in mind.

Grinning with his teeth exposed in a wide smile, Tomoyo tilted his head into Hinawa's hand as she began ruffling his hair. Giggling out loud, the child had no qualms with displaying how happy he was to receive the company.
But hey, as long as you've got friends that's no problem, right?
"Yeah!" Tomoyo agreed, nodding his head in response before leaping off the sofa's cushion. "We can be friends, Hina~" Twisting around with a squeak as the tile'd floor rubbed against the heels of Tomoyo's boots, the child raised his hand into the air before grinning widely once more. "Let's play hide and seek!"
Picking up one of the blankets, Tomo would jump back onto the sofa cushion and stand on it to be at level with Hinawa's head. Reaching the fabric around her, Tomoyo would attempt to blindfold the girl with the sheets in a shoddy knot that just curved around and under her ears (which Tomo was very tempted to pet anyway.)
"Count to ten and i'm gonna hide. I win if you give up~" Preparing to scramble off as soon as Hinawa started counting, Tomoyo was already running through different places to hide in his mind with excited ferocity. This was gonna be so much fun!

"Sure, let's be friends. I haven't played hide and seek in years, so this will be fun." Hinawa giggled a bit as Tomoyo tied something around her head to block her vision - her fox ears twitched slightly as his hands went past them, almost as if they were taunting him a bit. Of course, if she simply used her Ki sense, then no amount of hiding would actually help, but that was something only a spoilsport would do!
"Alright, I can't see anything. Get ready..." With a smirk, Hinawa crossed her arms - and began to count, slowly, to give the boy some actual time to hide. Sure, he lived up here, but it was still only fair. "One... two... three..." Drawing out each number a bit and increasing in volume a bit, she wondered how many places this tower could reasonably have to hide. There seemed to be quite a bit of furniture up here at least.

Turning back towards Hinawa as she began counting up to 10, Tomoyo's hand just barely brushed against the edge of her fluffy ears "accidentally". Scrambling off the sofa for the last time, Tomoyo's feet squeaked against the dull tiled flooring as he landed quite unceremoniously. "No peeking!" Tomo giggled aloud before his eyes began darting around the rooms looking for a place to hide.
One... two... three...
Uh oh, better hurry little hider~ Tomoyo's feet once more squeaked against the tiles as he scrambled trying to find a place to hide. Behind the curtains? "No, she'd look there first..." Inside the stove? "It's too obvious." How about climb onto the roof. "She flies outside and she'll see me though!" Arguing back and forth with his head, Tomoyo had almost completely lost track of the time as he realized that Hinawa was almost done counting!
Then he saw it. The ULTIMATE HIDING SPOT. Darting through he kitchen-ish area of the top floor, Tomoyo threw open the door of the fridge as quietly as he could before hopping into the mostly empty cooling box and shutting the door just as the vulpine girl finished counting to 10. Smirking to himself, Tomoyo was practically already celebrating his victory due to his cleverness! ...but then he realized something as his eyes landed on the visible carbon leaving his mouth.
"...it's cold in here."

With quick hands, Hinawa removed the makeshift blindfold from her eyes. "Ready or not, here I come!" Letting the piece of cloth flutter back down onto the couch, Hinawa gracefully jumped off, spun around her own axis in the air, and landed softly without even making a sound. Nobody was here to actually SEE her incredible acrobatic feats, but that didn't mean that she'd just suddenly stop doing them. With a soft giggle, she suppressed the desire to just activate her Ki Sense - it was an almost natural reaction whenever she looked for someone, so she had to make a conscious effort not to do it. Now, if she were a cute little kid that lived in a sky tower, where would she hide? Probably not that many good hiding places here - but the first she checked was right behind the couch she had been sitting on. Missing the painfully obvious wasn't something she liked to do. However, no kid right there! Taking her time leisurely strolling through the tower's upper floor, she took a look behind curtains, inside of a cupboard - and under it - while whistling a beautiful melody. "Shine, bright morning light..." Humming and singing the melody to an old, old song she remembered from her childhood, an almost melancholic, sad air swept through the top of the tower. The lyrics of the small song were incredibly sad - Hinawa had never truly realized this until now, but it was a beautiful sadness, one she had learned from her mother. She almost got lost in the melody, till she remembered that she still had a small boy to find! Did he leave the tower? Nah, that would've been cheating. But she was sure that she had looked in every place that a normal, sane person would... Oh no. Opening up the fridge and pulling out the cooling box, she smirked at the Tomocicle she had just found. "I win. Also, this probably isn't the best hiding spot, buddy." --- Hinawa's song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2lq7qHMcdc

All the while freezing his butt off, Tomoyo's paused his incessant teeth chattering as he began hearing a faint melody coming from beyond the frigid box he constrained himself in. The voice was soft... yet also somber, it made Tomo almost feel calmer while listening to the melancholic tune through the confines of the fridge door.
Shine, bright morning light...
As the melodic voice became louder and louder, the Saiyan hybrid was almost so entranced by the tune that he almost forgot something important. If Hinawa's voice was getting louder, and he wasn't moving, didn't that mean tha-
I win. Also, this probably isn't the best hiding spot, buddy.
"D-D-D-Dangit!" Tomoyo cursed, stumbling over his words as his teeth chattered uncontrollably. Encompassed by the warmth of the outside world, Tomo's frigid body nearly fell right over and face-planted into the ground due to loss of muscle movement. If Hinawa didn't catch him, in all likelihood the child would face-plant into the hard, tiled flooring; probably scuff a tooth.
Turning his gaze back up to the vulpine maiden, an apologetic grin weaved its way onto the child's face as he awkwardly chuckled. "Heh! I alm-most g-g-got you, H-H-Hina!" Tomo's hiding place had been perfect! Even though he had technically lost both in the game and in terms of getting his butt frozen off, the child still smiled triumphantly as if he had won; heck, making Hinawa look for so long was practically victory in and of itself because it meant Tomo was the absolute best-est at Hide&Seek!
"I l-liked your s-s-song~"

Hinawa reacted with her usual unnatural grace and speed, quickly catching the young child before he slammed into the ground. The little guy was pretty cold from his stay in the freezer, she noticed that as she closed it behind them with her foot. "Very good, you did get close. AND you got close to getting yourself frozen stiff. A bit risky, wouldn't you say?... Though I suppose you don't see it coming..."
Shaking her head, she carried the little boy over to his couch, setting him down on it before attempting to turn him into a Tomo-Burrito again to warm the boy up - she smiled a bit at his comment about her singing. "I haven't sung in a long time, so thanks. That song is one of the few things I remember from my mother, you know. Its a song of love, in a way - though I only recently really recalled all of it. Strange how memory works, isn't it?"
With a chuckle, Hinawa folded her hands together and concentrated - before generating a small blue flame over her hands. "Same like this. Here... careful though, it can burn just like real fire. Should help you warm up a bit, though. This is what's called Foxfire." explaining what she was doing, Hinawa hovered the pale blue flame over her hand with a short smile. "How is it? Warm enough?"

Smiling all the while shivering uncontrollably, Tomoyo's mouth quivered into a grin as Hinawa commended him on his amazing hiding skills. "T-T-T-Thanks~ I-I-I t-tried m-m-my b-b-b-best!" Stammering to get out a word as his teeth chattered, the hybrid curled into the zoanthropes arms all the while vibrating from his cold temperature to seek further warmth.
Eyes initially taking on a despaired glean as the warmth of Hinawa's clothes left him, they soon turned to a thankful sigh of relief as Hinawa set Tomoyo down onto the couch once more. Complacently staying as still as he could the child was mostly docile in allowing the fox girl to wrap him once more in the blankets and conserve his heat. Grinning up at Hinawa before curling up further into the corner of the sofa, the half Human listened intently to the girl contemplating her past and memories revolving around the song she had been singing. Not really knowing what would appropriate to say in response to what seemed to be rhetorical questions from Hinawa, Tomoyo simply resided to nodding in agreement while wrapping the covers tighter around his small form.
This is what's called Foxfire.
Lifting his gaze back to Hinawa, the white bulbs in his skull shone an unearthly blue light as they reflected the unearthly rays of Hinawa's magic fire. "Woaaah~" Astonished by this site, Tomo inched closer slowly to the fire, seemingly either not noticing or not worrying that he might burn himself. Poking a hand out of the covers, relatively warmed up by his own sheer curiosity, Tomoyo's hand hovered closer and closer with his finger extended towards the blue flames. He could feel the vibrant azures licking at him with waves of lulling heat, it was definitely real... yet how had she made something like that out of nothing!? "That's s-s-so c-cool."
"C-Can you teach me how t-to do that?"
