DRAGONS ALIEN C
APPEARANCE Dragons are a very diverse and adaptable species that come in an array of shapes and sizes. Some are as long as a bus while others can perch atop a human's shoulder. When you think of dragons, you'd typically think of the large, scaly quadrupedal reptiles with wings. Most have a single pair of horns, but others have more sets or even a pair of long, pointed ears. There are also dragons with long hair, feathers, or fur- but these are considerably rarer than scales. Most dragons have a pair of batlike wings, but others have long bodies and lack wings- these wingless dragons are similar in appearance to the Eternal Dragon of Earth, Shenron. Other dragons lack a pair of front legs, having large wings in their place, similar to a pterodactyl. Dragons have pointed claws and incredibly sharp rows of teeth. If a tooth falls out, a fang in the previous layer will slide right up to take it's place. Dragons have long necks and tails, and some have a row of spikes or a large fin on their spine. Some dragons might even have multiple heads with their own personalities. Dragons are always at least somewhat reptilian in appearance- you won't ever see a humanoid version of these lizards.
Dragons can live to be a thousand years old before they die of natural age, and only begin to experience age decay at around 900. Hatchlings are considered to be juveniles at the age of 13, and adults when they are around 20 years old, much like how humans age. However, dragons stay in the peak of their health for hundreds of years. Like any reptile, dragons lay eggs to reproduce. They only take a month to lay, and another month to hatch. They are omnivorous creatures, but tend to be more herbivorous or carnivorous depending on their environment- Planet Vegeta would house more violent carnivores and Namek would generally have peaceful herbivores. Dragons have their own language of clicks, growls, and roars. Only their species can fully understand this language, despite attempts made by other species to decipher it. Despite most being able to understand English, dragons have very primitive vocal cords, allowing them to only communicate via sounds, but they can parrot some basic phrases. Some dragons have pushed passed this handicap and speak rather fluent english, but this requires a lot of practice. Others have learned to communicate with other species with telepathy.
BEHAVIOR Dragons are naturally somewhat hostile and feral, they aren't the best planners on their own. Still, they do have a sense of curiosity most of the time, and can be very playful and friendly while tamed. They are oversized winged puppy dogs in disguise. Some love to be pet and scratched, while other loners are a little more prideful and stoic. No two dragons are alike, but they do share some traits. All dragons have an undying sense of loyalty and duty, and will always serve whoever they deem worthy to be their "rider" without question, most of the time. They aren't quick to trust others, but when they do make the move to trust someone after they prove themselves worthy, your dragon will be a loyal and powerful companion to the bitter end. Some of these creatures have been known to even fall into depression and die of isolation if their rider perishes.
Dragons evolved as collaborative creatures, and would much rather work together with their own kind rather than fight. These oversized lizards travel around in pods of about a dozen or even one hundred, hunting and thriving together. They are primal and territorial creatures, and tend to hoard their valuables, whether it be a pile of gold, treasure, or socks. Because of their hoarding nature, these creatures are also very protective. Never mess with a dragon's kin, period. Whether you mess with their podmates, families, young, rider, or friends, you're in for a fight if you cross a dragon's ally. Still, they aren't the brightest of the technicolor rainbow of species. While they are intelligent by animal standards, dragons are a little gullible and a little too curious at times, and cannot make plans very well on their own. They need someone to give them orders.
BACKGROUND
Dragons are primative, cooperative and group-based, yet intelligent creatures. The true origins of the dragons are a mystery. Some say these creatures have existed from the dawn of time, created to bring balance to the universe with their sheer power. Others say they are of magical origins, summoned from a faraway pane of existence and have grown and repopulated in this realm. The truth is, dragons are just a byproduct of a evolutionary chain of battle and brutality stemming from the earliest of small lizards across the galaxy, simple as that.
Dragons remained as the longtime apex predators of the universe for eons. Then, other species began to evolve and gain intelligence, even surpassing the minds of the mighty dragons. Humans, Saiyans, Namekians, and many more sprung up, challenging the beastial lizards for their place atop the food chain. For the longest time, the mighty lizards were hunted by the many other species of the galaxy, and to near extinction! For the longest time, many just saw the creatures as mindless killing machines, without a shred of intelligence.
Around Age 600, some humans on the Earth began to have some... close encounters with the creatures. Finally realizing the true intelligence and sentience of their species, some humans began to hesitantly reach out to the creatures. With much time and effort, the very first humans climbed onto the backs of dragons, using them as powerful steeds in the heat of battle. When the Earthlings began to pick up the art of dragon riding, the trend spread across the galaxy- who wouldn't want a fire-breathing beast to ride into the sunset with? Saiyans, Namekians, and many other species began to hop onto the backs of the dragons, although their scarce and hostile nature from their constant hunting made things... difficult. It was considered a blessing to have one of these creatures early on.
GENERAL INFORMATION Hybrids?: Would a giant flying lizard really hybridize with a wee human or a saiyan? No! Bio-Androids?: Yes, Dragon DNA can be salvaged from their scales. Mechanization?: Yes, Dragons go through mechanization. They will be androids after the process. Name Pun: Named after mythical entities, OR the name pun of a planet's dominant race Name Examples: Selene, Adonis, Ceres, Chiron, Zucci (Vegeta), Treble (Namek), Chia (Earth) Canonical Examples: Icarus- very loosely based off of Shenron and Porunga as well. Home Planet: Varies, most commonly found on Earth and Namek Starting Power Level: 1,500-2,000 Alien Type: Type C Other Names: Wyverns, Drakes, Wyrms
UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS Collaborative Attackers: Dragon evolved to work in groups. They travel together in pods most commonly, or seek out cooperation with humans and other species. They are very social creatures, and have power to back it up. A pod of dragons is extremely dangerous, even to the most skilled fighters thanks to this skill. You see, whenever dragons combine their powers into a single attack, they get a boost- a single charged added to their attack for every participant to the team attack. For example, a dragon fires a [N1] 33% attack into a team attack with TWO other humans. They get two charges to their attack when it merges in with the other humans' attacks, now becoming a [N1] CHARGED 100% attack. The Collaborative Fighter bonus CANNOT stack on top of the typical "use a turn to charge" charges- it only works with uncharged techniques fired right off the bat. However, dragons can only active this characteristic ONCE per thread. After the single use is used, their attacks gain no boost. Five charges can be added onto a dragon's attack in a single activation of this ability. Bio-Androids with this characteristic gain only a maximum of three charges added on.
Implied Flight: All dragons can fly! Winged or wingless, these creatures can soar or snake around in the skies from a very young age. All dragons will gain [UT] Flight as a fourth started technique when they are created.
Dragon-Speak: Normally, dragons can only speak in growls and whistles of the sort. They... don't have very evolved vocal cords. However, Dragons can speak fairly fluent english- or whatever other language- with the technique [UT] Advanced Vocals. Dragons can also break the language barrier with other species with the technique [UT1/2/3] Telepathy. Without Advanced Vocals or Telepathy, Dragons can only growl and make other primitive noises, but their clicks and whistles do have meaning to other dragons- Two dragons can communicate in this "dragonese" language without the previous skills, but they can't communicate with other races.
TRANSFORMATIONSNAME | MULTIPLIER | REQUIREMENTS | DESCRIPTION | Titan Wing | x11 | Starter Form
Celestial Event
30,000 PL & [UT]Titan Taming for control | When the stars align in a certain way, dragons may become much more on edge and feral. When stars shine their brightest, these Titan Wing Dragons quadruple in size, and are much more monstrous in appearance. Their horns and claws may grow in size as well. While most Titan Wings are FERAL, this does not mean they are VIOLENT like a Saiyan's Oozaru form. Some may act like wild deer or be much more docile, but they are very violent if provoked. A dragon loses their sense of self as a Titan Wing, but with proper training, they can learn [UT] Titan Taming at 30,000 PL to control this form.
| Beta Dragon | x5 | 50,000 PL | Beta Dragons are found in the wild as, well, the beta of a dragon pod. Beta Dragons appear no different from a dragon's usual base form, but they generally have much stronger and more vibrant auras when they are transformed. Their only real physical difference is a faint glow emanating from their maws and nostrils, which is a little hint to their following transformation...
| Alpha Mode | x16
| 150,000 PL
Ki Suppression
Emotional Trigger | This legendary form is only attained by the strongest of dragons. Dragons need to experience a very strong emotion to ascend to an Alpha. Anger, sadness, desperation, determination, and even happiness can trigger the transformation into an Alpha Dragon. It just has to be very, very strong. Oh, and they need 150,000 PL. Alpha Dragons are a sight to behold. While no changes occur to a dragon's body, many spots on them let out a bright glow- the color varies from dragon to dragon. Their spines split open and shine brightly, and light pours out of their noses and mouth, as if they were constantly charging a blast of Ki in it. Other parts may glow also, such as horns, claws, and scales. Alpha forms are very individualized.
| Alpha Unleashed | x22 DEF x12 ATK
| 150,000 PL
Alpha Mode unlocked
[SU1] Hyperspeed | An Alpha Dragon pours energy into their wings and other aerodynamic parts to increase their speed. This type of Alpha is extremely quick, but due to the constant output of Ki needed to sustain this form, their attack power is decreased. Dragons train in their Alpha Forms to attain the Alpha Release. To reach this form, a dragon must already be an Alpha, and have the ability [SU1] Hyperspeed. [SU1] Hyperspeed, is basically the opposite of Power Weighting. A dragon pours energy into their wings to give a +1 to DEF and a -3 to ATK. Their wings and spines glow brighter than before, but sometimes a dragon may grow a second pair of wings in this form.
| Mastered Alpha | x22 | 225,000 PL | When a dragon masters their Alpha Form, they can evenly divide their immense power among Attack and Defense. Mastered Alpha Dragons appear no different from their usual Alpha Forms, but they are generally calmer and more controlled when they have mastered this form. They can master their Alpha Modes through immense training in the form and its Alpha Release variant.
| Bestial Alpha | x37 DEF x20 ATK | 330,000 PL
[SU1] Hyperspeed
370,000 PL and [UT2] Bestial Dominance for control | Dragons in this form retain the same appearance as their Titan Wing Form, with the exception of the increased size, along with the familiar spine and mouth glow from their Alpha Modes, and possibly the added wings and glow from Alpha Unleashed- it's essentially appears to be a fusion of their Titan and Alpha Unleashed Modes. Dragons revert back to their feral, but not always violent instincts in their Beastial Forms, and need the technique [UT2] Beastial Dominance, which is attainable at 370,000 PL, to properly control this form. Beastial Alphas put MUCH more of their energy into defense and speed than Attack power.
| Eternal Dragon | x43
| 450,000 PL Saga Trigger | This legendary form has never been attained by any dragon, and is not even spoken of in legends or dragon folklore. None know of it's existence- yet. These Eternal Dragons certainly can't grant wishes- unless that wish is to annihilate everything in their path! Only the strongest of dragons can achieve this form in dire situations (Sagas) when something rattles them to their very soul. In a fit of determination or desperation that shakes them MUCH more than their Alpha Form's trigger, a dragon can reach their peaking transformation. This unknown form is a sight to behold- Not just the spines or mouths glow like in their Alpha Forms, but a dragon's entire body lets off a constant radiance. An even brighter silhouette of EITHER- not both, you must choose one and stick with it- the dragons Shenron or Porunga. Eternal Dragons can control the massive silhouette surrounding them like some kind of mecha- they can swing their own tail to cause the hologram's tail to swing, or use the head of it to grab opponents. The holograms are tangible, but attacks must be driven to the dragon in the center to actually deal damage.

OOC NOTES
Oh... Oh boy. Looking back, I miiiight have put a little too much time and effort into these guys... I'm sure I did something wrong here, and either staff or your average member's viewing and opinions, feedback, or criticism is appreciated! Any help is good help, I'm pretty sure I'll have to make a few edits to get this race approved. I tried to design the dragons to work best in groups, and also have some of their early transformations retain relevance for awhile, if that makes any sense. I'd like some ideas for some more "collaborative" UCs to maybe replace the Hoarder skill with. Any help, ideas, or feedback is very much appreciated. Thanks SO much for taking the time to read through all this, I'm sure it's kind of a doozy to read through.

Actually, you'd be surprised. A lot of mythology paints dragons are being highly promiscuous. It's one reason they abducted so many virgins!

It's one reason they abducted so many virgins! This race has already been denied, also this bit of history doesn't even fit the dragon ball lore.
