Cost: 17,500z and a permanent -2x to all transformations which can't be removed except with a dragonball wish due to irreparable damage from the surgery required.
Edit: Further attempts to mechanize will be impossible due to damage to neural pathways. In addition, the final transformation for these players is x42 or what the transformation would be with the -2, whichever is lower (barring wish restoral).
Reasonings. -A decent drawback is needed to prevent meta use to avoid low transform tiers. -zeni cost makes it more expensive than to simply just get shoki. -The x42 cap further prevents meta play.

Gonna say no only cause it kinda unfair if people can die go tot android for that bette rmid game and switch back to what race they were wihout the dragon balls, the dragon balls are really rare so i think that fine but for 12k no, maybe in the ballpark of 50k i'd think it'd be fair

The permanent -2 to every transformation should make turning into an android for better midgame unappealing already, since it'll weaken their lategame afterwards.

Edited slightly increasing the price to be equivalent effort give or take to a tier 3 res. The perma -2 should be unappealing to most meta game players. Unborging is also supported in canon ala frieza.

yah but it a choice to go android based on a plot choice and then now it basically given an option to go back other then the dragon balls which i guess is fine but i'm not a fan of it. In general i think if you go android, it dragon balls or your stuck.

Plot reasons are irrelevant in my opinion, the real reason it isn't allowed is because of abuse reasons. As an added penalty i'm going to add in that they cannot exceed x43 on their final trans without the wish restore which will close up the biggest loophole where a human could still get a x48.

Still plan on using dbs. The hard way. But I have a plan B and you know...maybe Carva realizes that it's not his body that makes him a Saiya-Jin warrior. Maybe it's his heart and soul.

Can we call this idea Deep Scars Debuff?
I think this is a neat idea but Plato raises the main issue which is Android midgame is really strong, and some lamer (and we've had them in the past) could try to get cute with the modifiers.Make the final ceiling a x42 and have that high cost and I'd be okay with it. Pipa is right, the main reason we don't have this is because people would abuse it. But it should be expensive enough to be rare, and mechanization can only happen once so this would only be able to happen once.
Still on the fence but it's a cool concept presented with these limits.

What are you talking about android is the best race in the game by a mile other the late game, if i'm honest android is the best race overall, kinda broken but that just me *goes back to his hidey hole*

Feel free to mechanize, if you think so.

I think it's fine being at a -2 for all races including Humans. Don't drop it down to X48 just to severely discourage that because with this it's still guaranteed that Humans will be on equal footing with Alien A characters who get a X48 and have to go through a saga just to get it whereas humans I don't think get anything in terms of other requirements for their final transformation. The way it's originally set I feel discourages people enough. By making them realize, "I can spend time training to 500K PL and profit from it or I can change up my character race and then come back to them later. Oh, oops, now I'm down to a X48 and all the transformations I could have had before even reaching that high benchmark are also weaker."
If we're going to do anything to change up android mechanization so they can go back to a particular race maybe they should have a different penalty for switching races possibly? That is if we don't go with any of the above stuff... Like, for example, they get a penalty on learning techniques for the next 50-100K PL and have to pay one extra technique slot for N1 and UP2 techniques to get used to their normal bodies again.

updated it to x42, which would make them guaranteed worse than android in late game. This would make it so that someone who truly can't bear the idea of being an android a chance to buy out without being strong enough to get the dragon balls. This essentially will allow them to defer the dragonball requirement because they are going to be sort of gimped unless they can complete getting the dbs
