Treylech felt a hand on his shoulder. He was on his knees clutching his chest from an emotional pain. He didn’t remember why he felt so torn, but he could feel his stomach roll as he questioned it. He looked up to the hand on his shoulder and then to the person at the other end of it. He recognized Hana’s smile immediately.
His heart skipped a beat as his mood changed from sadness to….something else. He couldn’t really place the emotion. It almost felt like something was twitching happily in his stomach. An odd fluttering sensation. He stood up and dusted himself off and looked around.
The room was dark in the corners and the only door opened into a void of light. None of the objects in the room with them had any real shape and the silhouettes of strangers mumbled obscure nothings at him. Strange as everything was, none of it really registered as strange. The peculiarities felt at home in his mind.
He turned toward Hana, but she was no longer anywhere to be seen. There in her place was a female Majin with a grin on her face. She stepped in close and with a single finger under Treylech’s chin she pulled him in close.
”Pledge your life to me…”
Treylech searched desperately through his surroundings only to find he was back in hell. He didn’t understand how it worked, but somehow he was dreaming, even without a physical form. His wisp-like body trembled for a few moments before settling down. It was almost unnerving lyrics calm everything felt.
For a place of everlasting torment, it sure held no forms of excitement. It felt like it was meant to be less of a physical torment and more of a mental one, driving him to wonder if he’d be better off dead, only to realize he already was. He exhaled as heavily as a spirit could and floated off in a random direction.
He was trying his best to make due, but not having a physical body was driving him nuts. He had seen quite a few people with a physical form, but none of them desired to talk about it or didn’t know for sure how they had gotten it. He would probably focus on that first before finding a way to return to Earth.
He started floating aimlessly again. He wished he could sigh. Oh well. Earth would have to wait. In the meantime he would work on gaining his body back. If he found a way to get his life back he would take it. In the meantime, he would fight the only thing he couldn’t win against; boredom.
