Tekuma landed outside the headquarters, flashing her identification to the guards and had it put in a machine which verified said ID. Upon getting the small card back, the girl tucked it into the back pocket of her jeans and strode through the door. She was tired, hungry, thirsty, and needed to take a shower and get some spare clothing, as the ones she had currently were stained with the blood of Captain Nova; as was her legs and some of her face, her hands and arms. Despite a few looks she gave a glowering look to staring onlookers, who continued their jobs as normal after getting glared at. Usually friendly and kind, the death of those she loved still tormented the hybrid. She'd slept last night in an alley with nothing to cover her, freezing as she slept to awaken to city noise. Lost in thought, the female almost bumped into someone.. "Hey! What are you doing standing in the middle of the hallway!" Thread PL: 5,645. HW: 1,411 Liang Aina

(Thread PL: 10,337,340)
The guards at the headquarters keyed their radios onto special priority signals upon seeing a bloodied member of KAOS designation stumbling in. The signal would beam out, across cloaked satellites wheeling in silent orbits. The satellites would all fan their dishes into one direction, to the leader of Blue Banner and ruler of Earth.
But he wasn’t in his King Castle office at the moment. Or anywhere the confused satellites could quickly find.
Vi-Poi was struggling like a worm in the jaws of the titanic fish, grunting and wriggling in between annoyingly-sharp teeth as he reached across its slimy tongue. He was somewhere off the coast from West Capitol still, his 3D Scan Mode showing that they were plunging deeper and deeper, nearing the abyssal plane of the ocean floor. Vi-Poi punched the fish’s tongue in frustration, eliciting a bestial gurgle. Dangling behind a furl of scaly flesh was the object of his desire, a seven-pointed star that throbbed with a lambent red light.
It was some kind of magical artifact, strong enough to make the android’s mouth water, if he had the glands for it. His MOG was jumping up and down in excitement at being so close. Its magical magnitude was nearly as high as that mind-shattering peak he’d felt when summoning Shenron. Vi-Poi had first detected it in miniscule amounts during a state dinner at King Castle, during the course of Grilled Westcoast Sea Bass with Peppercorn, served with Mashed Yellow Potato with Kale and Brown Cheese. Magically-contaminated seafood? The lead was too interesting to pass up.
He’d traced the food through the contracted service, which bought their catches from fisherman in the West City area. After reviewing the fishing fleets’ lays, Vi-Poi determined that they were trawlers who operated in the deepest portion of Sunset Bay. He’d searched for the source of the magical residue for days, confused that its source seemed to be mobile. And when he’d finally found it, lodged in the wide open mouth of some undocumented leviathan roaming the deeps, he’d shot right for it.
Now it was inches away from his fingers. He grimaced, kneeing at a tooth until it finally gave in, letting him slide forward just enough to rake his fingertips across it. He blinked in confusion upon feeling the artifact. It felt… like cold flesh.
”What?!”
Vi-Poi lunged forward, gripping at the artifact harder. The fish gave another belching roar at his grasp. Then realization dawned on Vi-Poi. This was no magical artifact lodged into the fish. This was part of the fish.
Magic bait.
The great carpet of briney tongue snapped back, hurtling Vi-Poi past the lure and into the fish’s gullet. More teeth surrounded him in the beasts throat, flexing and relaxing in tandem, conveying him the small android along until he was dropped into an organic membrane filled with some soupy, noxious goo. “What is this stuff?” Vi-Poi complained, sloshing up from the green liquid.
“An incredibly strong molecular acid,” Colee responded in his ear. “You have sixteen minutes before it digests your outer layer of synthflesh and armor."
Vi-Poi groaned. He was still being rolled around. The muscle walls of the fish stomach worked at him until he was fully submerged in the acid. The magic-hunting android glared around. He was surrounded by the skeletons of humans, some still wearing with wizard hats and wands. Fellow magic-seekers, fooled by the same fish.
Vi-Poi furrowed his brow, channeling his chi outward. He wasn’t going to become fish food like them!
Vi-Poi landed in front of Blue Banner headquarters, dripping with seawater and the faint residue of fish bile. He’d never been upchucked by a giant sea monster before. He guessed his Supa Bazooka didn’t digest well. Drying off with a supersonic spin, the small android strode through the doors of the headquarters, wondering what had triggered a silent alert while he was undersea.
(Vi hasn't seen Tekuma yet.)

Tekuma huffed and shoved past the person; who continued to stare at the hybrid. In turn, Tekuma flipped the bird and bared her teeth before continuing to walk down the hall. She hadn't been at her Science Corps post for a few days now; still grieving over her parent's deaths. Angry at the world, she had recently lost her parents to a freak fire that belonged to a now dead man. Off the bay, the halfling detected a incredibly faint magic trace, to which she shook her head in response. Lately she'd been sensing an odd energy. It wasn't ki, but rather she had a feeling her ability to sense this came with the DNA from her father's family line. A higher sense of magic came up on her "radar". This had to be none other than the BBA leader, whom which she avoided for the time being. She didn't want to be seen like this; and after work would likely return to the freezing, forbidding alleys of West City. She missed her parents and flew in to school from where she came, but she hadn't been seen at the schoolhouse or in the schoolyard; for that matter nowhere in Satan City or East Capitol. Tekuma continued to walk with a sigh, realizing she'd stopped dead in her tracks and would pass by Virtual Poi; bloodied and tired. Vi-Poi

Vi-Poi raised an eyebrow at the sight of a battered Tekuma. This must have been the alert. He electronically signaled for a medibot team. “What sort of battle were you in?” He asked, opening up his databanks to the latest reports from the BlueNet. “Is someone attacking Blue Banner Army personnel?” He put his arms akimbo, somewhat disturbed at this thought.
The medibots waddled off a summoned elevator that arrived in the lobby with a swish. Extending from each bulbous body were four arms, arrayed with a multitude of medicinal items and equipment.
Tekuma wasn’t necessarily a KAOS member, but she was close enough to where the distinction mattered little to Vi-Poi. She had a high battle point, and if there was anyone on the Earth willing to defy BBA’s protective mandate, he wanted to know who they were and why they were acting.
The first of the medibots scanned her, raising up on telescoping legs to suddenly douse Tekuma head to toe with a heavy foam of regenerative nanomachines.

Tekuma turned as Virtual Poi began speaking to her, the hybrid's eyes hiding the heavy scarring from witnessing the death of her parent's murderer and the near-death of Captain Nova by her own hands. " ....Battle..." Her memories flashed back to the Cathedral; the looming tree and the hero alongside a cyborg and that freaky pale man. " A man killed my parents; I went to find him already being arrested by Captain Nova. In... my grief I rushed him with a sword the man summoned.. and Captain Nova got in the way." The demoness cringed slightly, expecting some backlash from Virtual Poi. " This isn't my blood. It's the blood of Captain Nova. If it wasn't for the cyborg we'd met in the desert and a lumbering sentient tree with purple fire eyes; he would have died.. He did die for a split second.. And in that split second; I realized how fragile life can be sometimes. I ran him through unintentionally with my blade and in result almost stooped to the level the pale man was. Soon after I was about to cuff him in turn for Captain Nova; the fire-eyed tree stabbed the.. Konatsian through and killed him." A soft sigh escaped the lips of the teenager, turning her head as the medical equipment came over. " My parents are dead, my house was burned to ashes. I've been sleeping the last few nights on no food and little water; within the unforgiving streets of the city. I don't mean to ramble, but there is no one attacking Blue Banner personnel as of the moment." A sudden blast of regenerative foam washed over the girl, who was promptly knocked straight to the floor in an example of how quickly her exhausted legs were to give out against the foam spray. Needless to say the girl was surprised, and she got back up watching as the nanomachines seeped into her skin and brought a sigh of relief. " Thank you.., Vi-Poi"

“Your parents…” His eyes widened, and he listened to the rest of her story.
Vi-Poi’s lips thinned into a frown. “You could have killed Nova,” He said with all the disappointment a chastising parent might give a child. “I recognize Walker when I hear him. Not many talking trees of fire and darkness around here. Cyborgs, there are a few…” He trailed off, running Konatsian and Konats through his databanks. He knew precious little about the planet, only that it’d recently stunned astronomers by appearing – host star and all – quite literally out of nowhere. The scant intel Blue Banner had on Konatsians were that they were magically-inclined, which could of course answer the why and how of their planet’s bizarre manifestation. Perhaps they were nomads, popping here and there, only their spaceship was a world moved with magic ritual.
Walker maintaining his vigilante ways didn’t exactly surprise Vi-Poi. The one-time Caretaker wasn’t adjusting to being a large power too well. The ghost of Poi thought of Walker as a grundy. Vi-Poi had a vague sensation of what being a grundy was like, and it wasn’t being terrible, but it wasn’t being good either.
The small android also knew he was supposed to offer some kind of heavy condolences for the loss of her parents, but both ghost and machine were fumbling this point. He said slowly, watching the last of the healing foam sprayed on Tekuma. “You’ll be taken care of here. But why don’t you start over, from the beginning. How did all of this begin? What happened?”

Tekuma listened to Virtual Poi, seemingly chastising her made her look down sadly. The young hybrid heard him ask the questions, to which she replied after a short moment of thought. "It started at night, we were all sleeping when this freak fire was started by the man's monster. The firemen were busy downtown, and mother.."
Small tears began to trickle down the young hybrid's face, clenching her fists as she continued. "Mother woke up to me suffering from smoke inhalation.. She was too. With her last remaining energy she took me to the hospital, and in that timespan the house collapsed on Father and killed him, mother died of smoke inhalation."

“What about the fight?” Vi-Poi asked now, gesturing to the medibots. “The tree-like being’s name is Walker. What was his role in all of this?” The android had begun quietly aligning assets to spy on the former caretaker. Call it a gut instinct, but Vi-Poi felt that the once-benign bio-android was soon going to topple into something far darker. Anyone who was a strict consequentialist, anyone who was willing to commit quick violence for a greater good risked a shift from enforcer to tyrant.
Plus, the dude is a majorly creepy tree-thing with googly eyes of fire, Poi’s ghost added.
Vi-Poi frowned thoughtfully, his mind split now between Walker and Tekuma. He was starting to get the feeling that Tekuma wasn’t a fighter, not really. Not because of her shock and her pain at losing her parents – anyone in her situation would experience that. But some people had the instinct, some people didn’t. Walker did. Is that why he does what he does? Vi-Poi was a fighter, too, but things were different for him. He was no longer clawing for perspective, or for meaning. Fighting wasn’t all he had. Walker was no longer the Caretaker. What did he have left to give?
Putting a hand on Tekuma’s shoulder, he walked her to the elevator. “You shouldn’t sleep on the street. We have barracks housing for ten thousand, down here.”
He summoned the elevator with his mind. “You have a very strong ki signature,” Vi-Poi began. “But have you learned to fight?”

"His.. His role was apparently trapping Captain Nova and Plato in his sacred grounds within a flying island.. That they were there because of Walker's will alone. He killed Plato by stabbing the Konastian through the chest while narrowly missing myself.." The hybrid's jade green eyes were scared, the thought of the tree-man's ki power being so overwhelming sent shivers of terror down her spine as they walked to the elevator. She would step into it with the Azure Administrator; not worried in the slightest that he would attempt to try something on her. "Have I learned how to fight...? No. I've sparred a bit with my father but mother had me focus most on my education." She held up her wrists, which had two deep blue clothed wristbands with obsidian jewels beset into them. "My father gave these to me to help me train, I have never taken these off and I vowed to never do so. It's my way of honoring the memory of my parents, Vi-Poi .." The elevator would stop at it's intended floor, blinking as she saw the large barracks. Why did he ask her whether she knew how to fight? Was this a test?

(Vi never gets on the elevator ) Vi-Poi gestured to the elevator , “Once you get healed, I want you to start a general training regiment with our sparring bots. You have KAOS-level clearance, and need to be able to fight like it.” When the silver doors opened, Vi-Poi would give a wordless wave of his hand and head towards the double doors. (Thread Exit, PL please! Sorry for the shortie Tekuma, but I gotta get a wrangle on my threads so I shornin some now. )
