Nai-Ran inhaled deeply as her pearly scales slid across the lush grass in a field of vibrant green. The air was crisp here and made her feel ever so slightly on the chilly side, though she was quickly discovering that that was most places on Earth that weren’t the desert in which she had made her temporary home. Though, there was some sort of stench in the air that she couldn’t quite place that didn’t make it quite so pleasant.
After travelling through the area a bit more, the Ryashi quickly discovered the source of the stench. There were pens filled with funny looking birds all over the place. Not only that, but a lot of the land in the distance looked like it was used for crops. Nai-Ran was wandering through a bunch of farmland! Where there was farmland, there was bound to be farmers, which meant that this was the perfect time for the young woman to make sure she was going the right way!
However, as she approached a cluster of small houses that she assumed was where the people lived that tended to the land, Nai-Ran noticed that everyone was running around in a panic. The animals looked pretty spooked as well. She had only just arrived! Were they already so frightened by her strange appearance? No, it couldn’t be that. As she drew nearer, she could hear several of them shouting a single word. ”Paozusaurus!”
Paozusaurus? Nai-Ran hadn’t the faintest idea what that was supposed to mean. The young woman quickly pulled aside a gentleman with a rather large straw hat atop his head once she was close enough. ”Umm, excuse me. If you don’t mind my asking, what’s all of the excitement about?” ”Lady, are you crazy?! Get outta the way! Can’t you see that thing is gonna eat the lot of us?!” the man screamed before pushing his was past Nai-Ran. He seemed to be far too preoccupied with whatever it was that was threatening their little farming community than her serpentine features. As much of a small relief that was, it wasn’t in her nature to just leave this place in its current condition.
The Ryashi woman went deeper and deeper into the village before spying exactly what it was that had everyone so riled up. There was something rather large and reptilian looking approaching in the distance at a brisk pace. That could definitely be a problem; the beast’s teeth were bigger than her torso! Strangling it with her tail was most certainly out of the question. It appeared to be time to test her newfound strength.
A look of determination upon her face, Nai-Ran casually began to slither towards the ancient predator as she mentally prepared herself for battle. If it was looking to find a meal here, it would have to go through her first.

Ninjins travels brought her to the large farming bands of the Spinach Wastes. The large sword upon her back was wrapped in a cloth as to not show its gleaming surface to the air as she travelled. Her walk had been uneventful and thankfully dull and void of any saiyans trying to kill her. It was quite a boon the ability she had to mask herself as she did as she walked along. Slowly she approached a community and within it she heard screams erupting and the talk of a Paozusarus. She had an idea of what the beast was as with her travels she had ran into.
So she quickened her pace as she moved toward where the farmers where running away from. As she ran toward the sounds she saw someone else heading into the direction where the dinosaur was. Moving alongside the snake woman she spoke up loud enough to be heard over her running. "So there is another person here with some guts. Names Ninjin. Can I ask your name before we get to the dinosaur's destruction ahead of us?"
Though she stopped in her tracks when she saw the oversized dinosaur. Reaching up she grabbed at her sword pulling it around and readying herself. As Nai-ran would be there beside her she began to move alongside. "There is a saying. Bravery makes those that make great attempts to save those that cannot save themselves."

Nai-Ran moved somewhat slowly, but definitely with purpose, across the fields as she aimed to intercept the dinosaur that was on the prowl. This would be her first real fight since first arriving on Earth; she expected it to be a good one. What the Ryashi DIDN’T expect was for an unknown ally to be joining her for this battle. Yet, before she knew it, a woman with red hair was walking alongside her with the same intentions.
”That’s not as eloquently as I would have put it, but it appears that we’re on the same page,” Nai-Ran replied to the woman with a slight laugh and a confident smile. ”It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ninjin. You may call me Nai-Ran.” For once, the young woman didn’t bother with her whole name. Normally she was all about manners and giving a proper first impression, but it was unlikely that the scaled beast they were about to exchange blows with was going to stand off to the side and wait for her to finish. If Ninjin stuck around after the fight, she would get to it then.
”Whoever came up with such a saying sounds wise indeed. I might just have to ask more about it when we’ve taken care of business,” she commented without removing her gaze from the giant lizard. Now that they were up close, the beast was truly a sight to behold. There was nothing even close to that size roaming the sands back on Appodorra. Then again, there were a lot of things on Earth that they didn’t have on Appodorra, and Nai-Ran had done just fine with them so far.
There was no mistaking the hunger in the giant beat’s golden eyes. It had come here with only one thing in mind and there was no way it would be leaving quietly without a full belly. For its sake, Nai-Ran sure hoped it like the taste of dirt. The Paozusaurus narrowed its gaze at the two approaching figures and opened its jaws in a loud roar, viscous drool slowly oozing from the corners of its mouth. Its brisk walk then turned into a full on sprint with its first two targets acquired.
”Allow me to start things off,” Nai-Ran spoke as she stopped moving, closed her eyes, and briefly charged up her ki. She was eager to see what kind of fighting style Ninjin used, but she decided to make the first move while they were still at a distance. Normally she wouldn’t mind getting up close and utilizing her muscular tail, but since it didn’t look like putting the squeeze on the giant lizard would be all that effective, she decided to keep her distance for now.
Nai-Ran kept her eyelids shut tight for a few moments before snapping them open and shooting forth a pair of bright crimson beams from her eyes at the charging monstrosity. Her Eye Blast should have been enough to take him down a peg. The attack hit the monster square in the chest. It staggered the beast for a moment, but it quickly shook it off and resumed the charge.

Ninjin had a slight smile on her face at the compliment paid to the phrase she spoke. As to Ninjin it was something she had heard all the time and it was ingrained in her mind as her mother had told her that all the time. For some reason she felt rather at ease around the Ryashi despite never seeing anyone looking like her in her entire life to this point. “It is an honor to fight alongside you Nai-Ran.”
Her words came out after she processed what she had said with her introduction. As to her it felt truncated as if the lady was used to much grander and longer introductions. Though such a thing would have to wait for after they fight the dinosaur which was even larger than she had expected the beast to be. As the beast roared at Ninjin she waved her hand before her face as she held her blade over her shoulders. “Man someone has some bad breath today… Must not be eating the right things.”
It was odd for her more joking nature to emerge when she was about to get into a fight but she was relaxed as despite its size she felt her strength in ki would help her more than anything. Flipping the blade point first into the ground Ninjin got into her stance as the beast charged forward. As Nai spoke about starting the fight Ninjin nodded to her as she felt the kis buildup and then fire directly at the beast’s massive chest. The impact of the blow only staggered the beast and Nin knew that it was well and good enough to hid ebut right now she shouldn’t restrain herself.
So letting go of her limiters her ki began to manifest about her in a lilac colored glow about the young woman. As she let it flow she grabbed her blade and jumped forward into the air just as the beasts tail came spinning toward the pair. Spinning her blade she caught the tail with the flat of her blade and skidded it to a stop just before it would of hit Nai-Ran. “Stronger than expected little bugger isn’t he?”
Letting out a nervous chuckle she pushed back using her ki to push forward and cause the beast to stagger backwards at the sheer amount of force Ninjin drove into his tail. All the while Ninjin was not trying to injure the beast as how sharp the large blade looked she was using the flat of the blade to hopefully push away the beast instead of hurt it.

”The honor is all mine,” Nai-Ran said with a smile as she fired a couple of ki blasts at their target. The sword she weilded had already given the Ryashi a basic idea of Ninjin’s fighting style was. She had always preferred hand to hand combat herself, but sword fighting was actually quite popular back on Appodorra. It was the weapon of choice for Ryashi soldiers as well. Ninjin seemed to be quite skilled with it. She expertly blocked a couple of incoming swipes of the beat’s tail. Though, Nai-Ran was surprised that she chose to use the flat of the blade rather than its sharp edge.
Ninjin wasn’t joking when pointed out how strong the humongous reptile was. All of the creatures that she had hunted down so far hadn’t put up much of a fight. It had just been a matter of getting her tail wrapped around them. This Paozusaurus was certainly far more resilient than anything she had encountered. It explained why all of the farmers were so terrified of it.
”I have an idea. Be ready to strike as soon as I give the signal,” Nai-Ran spoke to Ninjin as she came up with and interesting little plan. With that, she darted out from behind the red haired woman and began circling around the beast, firing a couple more ki blasts at it to make sure that she was the one it focused on. ”Oh my, look at how much meat my tail has on it! It looks so much more delicious than some two-legged creature!” she shouted playfully at the dinosaur, still tossing ki blasts its way. They weren’t charged up at all, so she wasn’t expecting to do any damage with them.
If one tries to chase after two rabbits at once, they will both escape. The Paozusaurus seemed to be well acquainted with that saying. Though, it may have just been annoyed with the blasts of crimson ki that were pelting its face. Either way, it decided to focus on Nai-Ran and turned to face her as she circled around him, leaving Ninjin at its back.
Nai-Ran smirked as she coiled her tail tightly beneath her and motioned with her finger for the beast to come closer. It was a good thing that the dinosaur was a simple minded beast fueled only by its hunger at the moment. Anyone with the ability to use logic and reasoning likely would have noticed that this was a trap right away. The Paozusaurus didn’t really care though. All that mattered was the tasty looking morsel in front of it that was within chomping range.
Letting out another roar, the scaly beast opening its jaws wide. It lunged forward at the serpentine young woman and bit down. However, that had all been a part of Nai-Ran’s little plan. She had to be quick though. Just as its jaw closed in on her, she crossed her arms in front of her chest in the shape of an ‘X’. A bright red barrier of ki enclosed her form in the shape of a transparent sphere. It prevented the Paozusaurus from completely closing its mouth no matter how hard her tried to bite down on it.
Ugh, Nai-Ran had thought that the beast’s breath had smelled rank before. Now that she was partially inside of its mouth, it was absolutely disgusting! ”Now Ninjin!” she signaled, trying to hold back a fit of nausea.

“Alright Nai…” She spoke up loudly as she was deflecting many of the blows that the dino kept swinging in her direction. Each of the blows where powerful but thanks to her physical conditioning she was able to endure them without much trouble. Hearing Nai yell at the beast the plan became rather clear to Ninjin. The Ryashi girl was going to use herself as bait and Nin had to devise a plan to end this fight rather abruptly the very moment she was taken by the Paozusarus.
Gripping the hilt of her blade she closed her eyes as she felt another blow from the tail come and impact against the flat of her blade. Yet she felt the tail move and not hit her anymore as she saw it begin to chase after Nai-Ran. So now Ninjin’s mind began to roll into overdrive. As her mind was starting to formulate which plan she would have to use. “Ok Ninjin think… The moment the beast takes her… Should I cut off its head, stab it in the spine or throat, or should I slice off its tail…”
Speaking to herself she kept pace as the Paozusarus closed in on Nai and began its chomping motion on her. Ninjin flinched even though she had a feeling that she had a plan for them sudden chomping motion. Quickly she made her decision and drove forward the moment she cried out for her to attack. Ninjin flew into the air and spun her blade in her hands gripping it with both hands. Aiming the tip directly down at the dinosaur’s spinal column she yelled out as she pushed herself with ki and using gravity as well to her advantage she stabbed the dinosaur directly inbetween two vertebrae slicing deep into the beasts neck causing it to pitch forward its mouth loosening almost instantly.
As Ninjin stood on the top of the Paozosarus she whispered to herself. “Go and enjoy a place where you do not hunger so much that you attack human settlements gentle giant.”

”Ngh,” Nai-Ran grunted as she maintained her ki barrier. She was still technically in the Paozusaurous’s mouth even if it couldn’t bite down all the way on her. It was most definitely trying though. With each and every exhale of the dinosaur, the young woman had to fight off the strong urge to retch. She needed air! Now! As if hearing her silent wish, the reptile’s jaw suddenly slackened; all of its muscles went limp. It exhaled no more.
Nai-Ran took this as a sign that Ninjin had finished it off. She dropped her ki barrier and quickly slithered out from the side of the deceased Paozusaurus’s mouth. Had she worshipped a deity of any sort, she would be thanking him or her profusely by now. Instead she went back and forth between taking deep breaths and violent coughing for a few moments. On the plus side, she no longer noticed the smell of the farmland around them in the air.
Once she regained her composure, the young woman tossed a look at the fresh corpse on the ground. She was glad that that little plan of hers had paid off, but she couldn’t foresee herself doing anything like that ever again. At least the ki barrier had kept the dinosaur’s saliva off of her. Small miracles, right?
Nai-Ran brushed herself off and slithered over to the side of the fallen Paozusaurus. Ninjin was still standing on its back while gripping the hilt of her weapon. ”I must say, your swordplay would put a lot of professionals from my home world to shame. You’re quite skilled, though I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that,” Nai-Ran commented. She folded her hands neatly in front of her now that the atmosphere was no longer so tense. The battle had been short, but it had been a good one.
”Allow me to give a more proper introduction now that victory has been obtained. I am Nai-Ran of the Rassuto, born to the Ryashi people and hailing from the planet Appodorra. However, I would like to ask that you keep addressing me simply as Nai-Ran. Nothing more is necessary,” she informed Ninjin with a polite bow. There, that felt much better. ”So, what brings a warrior of your ability all the way out here?”

Ninjin was still holding the grip as she heard Nai appear near her and then give her a compliment on the weapon she wielded. Yet it had been nothing but luck that the strike she used had finished the beast off. She knew for a fact that her skill was lacking and all the things she had done had been but basic maneuvers that where some of the most basic she could remember. Just using momenteum and leverage to her advantage. "I thank you for the compliment... But I barely have a few weeks worth of training with the blade. It feels like an extension of myself and it acts as if it itself is guiding my actions. Teaching me as I use it."
As Nai gave a proper introduction she stood and bowed her head. A proper instruction she figured was entitled to Nai-Ran. "Well I guess I should give you a proper introduction. I am Ninjin Nedrag. An Assistant Teacher for the Turtle School of Martial Arts underneath Master Amalia Bradferd of one of the dojos of South City, I am a half breed Saiyan born of Earth." Giving her own full instruction she gave a bow and pulled out her oddly shaped blade slinging it over her shoulder and beginning to clean the blade with a cloth that was attached to the hilt.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Nai-Ran... As for what brings me out here.. Well simple enough I am a wanderer. I go from place to place to help others across Earth. Using my newly acquired sword and fighting skill. Needless to say I have had alot of time to do this. How about yourself. What bring a Ryashi I believe you called yourself to these parts?"

Nai-Ran couldn’t help but freeze just a little bit at hearing Ninjin’s introduction. Did... Did she just say that she was part Saiyan? Her last encounter with one of them had left her crossing her fingers that there weren’t any more to be found on Earth. Though, at the same time, maybe this wasn’t a bad thing. While the last one she had met had been brash, rude, and had no concept of what was supposedly common courtesy, Ninjin had been the exact opposite so far. Technically she said she was only half Saiyan, but maybe they weren’t all bad after all.
Still up in the air about what to think about Saiyans, Nai-Ran decided to completely forget about it for now. After all, people are defined by their actions and not their lineage. Going by that, Ninjin was just fine as far as she was concerned. ”It has always been my belief that it is the responsibility of those with power do what they can to help those without, so I find what you’re doing to be admirable,” the young woman explained. ”As for my own reasons, I landed on Earth not too long ago and am seeking out one of their cities. This planet is to be my home for quite some time, so I decided to take a look at what a human civilization is like. I’m also attempting to gather supplies.”
The serpentine lass turned her head to again look at the fallen dinosaur, running her hand lightly over its scales. It was a shame she wasn’t headed back to her cave. Carrying such a large lizard back whole may not have been feasible, not would her pod ever be able to hold that much. However, it was still possible to bring back and properly store some of the choice cuts. That was kind of a moot point though. Nai-Ran had a mission and she wasn’t about to stray from it after coming this far.
Suddenly, Nai-Ran heard footsteps approaching the two of them. She turned her head to see the same gentleman with the straw hat that she had pulled aside earlier. His eyes were practically bulging from their sockets and the way he moved was pretty shaky. ”D-D-Did you... Is-is it really... dead?” he asked meekly. Nai-Ran blinked a couple of times before briefly looking back to the giant lizard. ”It certainly doesn’t look like it’s getting back up. I believe that you’re correct, sir,” she confirmed with a smile. She then looked over to where the farmers’ homes were clustered to see that everyone had calmed down a little. The crowd was no longer running around in a wild panic, but instead standing uncomfortably still and staring at the three of them from a distance.
The gentleman removed the hat from his head and breathed a large sigh of relief before bowing his head low to both Nai-Ran and Ninjin. ”You have no idea how grateful we are for what you’ve done. That same Paozusaurus has been coming after us constantly for a week! I can’t even begin to tell you how much of our livestock we’ve lost to it! Please... Is there anything that we can do to repay your kindness?”

“Well that is a good belief to hold onto. The strong always should protect the weak until they can stand on their own two feet. So I must thank you for the compliment. I try my hardest to do what I believe that my mother would want me to do. Well as a representative of Earth let me welcome you fully to our planet Nai-Ran. I hope that you are finding it greater than you expected and I hope the wildlife has not given you so much trouble.” Ninjin spoke as she finished cleaning her blade off and began to wrap it up to cover the blade from view of all the farmers and their families. Glancing at the massive beast Ninjin had a slight frown on her face as she had to kill such a beast but she understood why it was she had to do it.
Her head jerked up as she heard the footsteps incoming and she felt the small amounts of ki from the local farmers approaching the pair. She only began to relax as she heard the farmers stammering and uncertainty on the status of the beast. About to raise her voice to confirm that the beast was indeed killed Nai-Ran spoke up for the pair. Blinking several times Ninjin allowed the man to speak up and she smiled as he finished. “It is no problem to help you and yours with this issue. I take it that this beast must have a reason for heading down from the mountain to your lands. Something must have been afflicting the beast.”
Giving the man a reassuring nod as she walked over beside Nai-Ran looking at her before raising a hand to her chin. Thinking to herself about what it is that she could ask for as the idea hit her mind and she smiled widely. “How about a meal from the Paozaosarus meat and some of your spare crops and a place to place our head for the evening? I think that sounds fair for assisting you in getting rid of this creature. How about you Nai-Ran does that sound fair to you as well?”

”Thank you very much for your kind words. So far my stay has been enjoyable for the most part. There have been a few bumps, but if surviving on your own on a new planet were truly that easy then my people wouldn’t consider it much of a test,” Nai-Ran explained. ”It’s certainly a lot different from my home world of Appodorra. There’s an abundance of water and greenery everywhere. It’s also a lot colder.” Among all of the things the serpentine young woman had encountered on this lush planet so far, the cold was definitely the one thing she would live without if given the option. It was a shame that the only thing of intrest in the desert which she currently inhabited was her cave.
The young woman then turned back to the farmer after listening to Ninjin’s response as far as a reward went. ”That wouldn't be any trouble at all. Is that alright with you, miss?” the farmer replied while looking at the Ryashi. ”Actually, I’m afraid I must decline. I’ve already eaten my daily meal, and I would like to return to my cave as soon as possible,” Nai-Ran sighed with a slow shake of her head. By now she had been aware of the fact that this planet’s inhabitants ate multiple full meals each day. As a Ryashi, all she needed was one per day. It may have been a larger meal than what those here normally consumed, but it was still just one.
”If it’s not too much trouble, I would like to request different reward,” she spoke up again. ”What I seek is information. Something to barter with would be nice as well if you could spare it, but if not then just the information will suffice.” Her last sentence was noticeably rushed. She wasn’t used to asking for money, nor did she particularly like the feeling. However, it was what she really needed right now so there wasn’t much getting around it.
”You mean Zeni? Sure, we got some to spare,” the man said before he motioned to couple of farmers in the crowd before they ran off. ”What did you need to know?” Nai-Ran smiled at his response. A look of relief was visible upon her face. She hadn’t really been sure what to expect. So the currency was called ‘Zeni’ here? That was good information to have. It was even better since it sounded like they were going to share some with her. It was definitely a push in the right direction.
”I’m actually trying to find the closest human city for some supplies. Could you tell me if I’m anywhere close, as well as what direction to travel in order to reach it?” The man scratched at his head for a second before pointing to the horizon. ”If it’s a city you’re lookin’ for, you’re on the right track. The closest one would be Satan City. It’s just to the South of here.” Apparently Nai-Ran had travelled a little too far to the North since she set out, but at least she was on the right track now.
The serpentine lass thanked the farmer for his assistance before turning back to Ninjin. ”I don’t mind sticking around for a bit longer if you would like someone to talk to. I can tell you that I certainly could. As much as I enjoy my cave in the Diablo Desert, I’ve unfortunately found out that most people aren’t built for the heat like I am. Is there any way that I could assist in the meal preparation before I depart?”

“A lot colder? Does that mean that your planet is a hot and arid one perhaps? As I have never travelled off planet and there is little other that I sadly know about.” She scratched the side of her head as she laughed lightly as she proved that despite her skill with her sword and fists she was still rather stupid about the galaxy at large. Though her limited view still gave her perspective as to what really mattered to her and that was for the most part Earth and those on it. Ninjin’s face went into a slight frown as Nai-Ran turned down the offer for food and not to waste the now dead Paozosarus. Though In her mind a plan was formulating and she raised her hand as an idea hit her. “Why not bring parts of the dinosaur with you to the city Nai-Ran? I mean you could sell its teeth, claws, skin for Zeni. I can assume that you farmers can use most of the meat and could sell off the rest of the beast with relative ease. Then the farmers wont have to scrounge for Zeni to repay wither of us and you gain some much needed Zeni to be able to travel with.”
Ninjin smiled as she heard with the ease that Nai-Ran spoke with the farmers. As such interactions with aliens a lot of the time wound up rather bad with one side attempting to hurt one another. The mention of the city made Ninjin nod several times. When Nai turned back to her and asked if she would like the company while the food was being made was greeted with a nod. ”I would love the company. I can also accompany you on the road toward Satan City. I was heading that way anyways as I need to purchase another gi as I had to rip apart my other one to save someone’s life a few days ago. And you said you came from the Diablo Desert? That place is so hot and overbearing for many people. Though I admit I rather love the dry heat of the region. Last time I travelled past the area I stayed for several months on the outer edges of it. Used it to train within while gathering water where I could.”
It was true that Ninjin acted like the normal people of Earth but she also loved her training and doing it in strange and different manners helped keep it from being dull. Awaiting the return of the farmers for Nai’s reward she leaned back on her heels.

Nai-Ran scratched the back of her head at Ninjin’s suggestion as her face gained a bit of a troubled look to it. There was no mistaking that the idea she had was a good one. However, there was a slight problem to it. ”I suppose I could try doing that if taking the Zeni is going to be a problem. I’m not sure if I’ll find anyone interested in purchasing anything from me though. You see, I’ve found that I’m not spectacular at meeting new people on this planet. While it’s not always the case, I’ve taken notice that most humans I’ve encountered so far have been rather fearful of my appearance. Not everyone I meet is in the middle of an emergency that I can assist with.” The Ryashi looked back over to the giant corpse on the ground. Teeth, claws, and skin, huh? What would such things even be worth on this planet? She was no merchant.
”No worries there. We get peddlers coming through the area all the time. I’m sure it wouldn’t be too hard for one of us to find a guy that would be interested in buying what we don’t eat. Besides, other than the raging dinosaur attack, we’ve actually had a pretty good year this year. Giving up some Zeni won’t hurt us if everyone chips in. Besides, we can probably make it back by selling off the dinosaur parts like you suggested,” the man reassured the both of them with a jolly laugh before making his way back to the crowd of other farmers. There were dinner preparations to be made.
The serpentine lass breathed a sigh of relief as she heard the news. Again, she felt kind of bad for not going through with Ninjin’s suggestion, but trying to find a buyer and sell off the items was far from her area of expertise. She wasn’t even sure how well she would do at finding people willing to sell her the supplies she needed once she got to Satan City. Nai-Ran frowned briefly as she shot a look down at her tail. Why were people so afraid of this thing, anyway? It was certainly a culture shock. Back home her peers looked upon her with respect due to her social status. Here, most of the time it was fright. She wasn’t sure if she would ever be used to the reaction.
Feeling the urge to change the subject, Nai-Ran coiled her tail up neatly and sat upon it. ”Going back to what you were saying earlier,” she began. ”You are correct. Most of Appodorra is very similar to the Diablo Desert. Though, the few regions that have large bodies of water are actually quite popular with off-world tourists. This is actually my first time being on another planet, so up until a little while ago I was just like you in that regard.”
”As much as I would love the company, I’m afraid I must be on my way once we are finished with the dinner preparations. I would like to reach the city before sunset so that I can start making my way home before nightfall. However, if you’re ever in the area, you’re more than welcome to pop by my cave for a visit. There’s not much there at the moment, but I’m hoping I can rectify that with this little adventure of mine.”
With that, Nai-Ran clapped her hands together and motioned to the Paozusaurous. ”So, how shall we begin?” she asked enthusiastically. The young woman had never broken down such a large creature for food before. The biggest thing she had ever caught around her favorite hunting grounds was a wild boar, and those she preferred to spit roast. Something told her that that would be a bit difficult to do with such a massive creature.

“Sorry was just trying to think about things. I have sold animal bones and skin to others for years. As where I was raised it was a lucrative way to make a bunch of Zeni rather easily.” Shrugging at Nai as she tried to figure out what to do for her but then when the farmers spoke about how they have been having a great year and how the Zeni was going to be a nonissue. A slight breath of relief was released from Ninjin as she figured out things to say in response.
“Well that is good to know. I know the area near my home was hit by a drought and I did not know if you had been hit by it as well. Also you bring up the better point. You are much better at selling things then either of us would be. I know I am a fighter and that really only works when I run into bandits or beasts like the Paozosarus.” Pointing at the beast for a moment before backing off from it. Glancing over at Nai-Ran she noticed her glancing downward and moved over beside the lamia. In a voice not to draw the attention of the farmers who hustled about them heading over to the dino to begin to clean the beast she spoke. “Hey is something wrong there Nai-Ran? I mean I can understand what it means to be an outcast and be somewhere where I am unknown. I may look human but people still like to pick on me.”
Hearing her rebuttal and subject change made Ninjin smirk and just stand there. Giving her a nod and smile. “Well I would love to come visit the area. Here I have a map can you tell me where your cave is so I know where to find you? As I feel a vacation far away from people would be great for me.” Pulling out a small device that popped up a small digital map of the region which Ninjin did not take a moment to expand it to show the Diablo Desert. After Nai-Ran would mark the area with her finger Nin would make certain to have the spot memorized.
“I would love to find out what type of cooking you can set up there Nai-Ran. As exotic cuisine is something I would love to taste.” Her words in response to her question to the farmers. She was looking forward to this meal.

”Don’t worry about it. It was a splendid idea. It would just be difficult for me specifically to put it to use,” Nai-Ran explained. Unfortunately, she didn’t possess any sort of skills like that for acquiring money. The most she had hoped for when she left her cave was exactly this, finding some sort of service or task to perform and hope that there was a reward. It probably would have served her a lot better to come up with a more well thought out strategy than that, but it just so happened that luck was on her side this time.
The young woman curiously looked at the device that Ninjin had pulled out. It looked like it acted as some sort of digital map. That certainly looked convenient. ”So, I just tap like this?,” she asked as she lightly poked the area where she believed her home to be located. Hopefully she wasn’t too far off. It was the first time she had ever actually had to find it on a map. Really it was just a guess judging by the position of Mt. Paozu. ”I think I got it right. There aren’t all that many rock formations that I’ve seen poking up out of the sand in that particular part of the desert, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find.”
”Umm, actually...” she trailed off, sounding a bit nervous. ”I’m not all that great at cooking anything I’ve caught on Earth so far. Most of my meals on this world have been spit roasted or cooked over hot rocks. I haven’t had much to work with. That’s another thing I’m hoping to fix after reaching Satan City.” The Ryashi had actually been hoping to pick up a couple of tips from helping out here while enjoying the company. It was too bad that she had to be disappointing like this. ”Either way, I suppose the first task would be to skin the prey. Do you have anything sharp on you aside from your weapon?”
