( King Kai, Kaula, I think we should get started on this after so long!) Pieter had been putting himself through a lot of thought as of late, in regard to what happened a little while ago. Kaula had told him how she achieved her level of power, seeing that she'd a humane side to her. Not just that cold, sarcastically insulting manner speaking, but actually showed she was a person. It helped him remember the experience he had years ago, when he at the World Tournament and he had to fight for control of himself, but not before lives were lost. He'd been thinking of how it compared to what happened years later... Actually, if he wasn't mistaken, it was actually in the same week that disaster, with saiyans no less, struck the Earth, and with that power he acquired, did his best to defend his homeworld! He did, and the enemy at most of the cities were repelled, except at the Northern Capital. He went there, and upon arriving, realized that his allies were toying with remaining forces putting up a fight. It was inhumane, and with all his strength, he decided to take out the source of their strength: that strange, moon-like orb of a technique. For some reason, it was able to allow saiyans, and even hybrids like Pieter, to transform! Pieter didn't provide enough power behind it, unfortunately, and he was attacked for his attempt. He only remembered the searing pain in his chest, from Zucceta blasting him, which brought him here. Yemma judged him and told him he was qualified to go train with King Kai at his judgement, him having said something about Bing being involved, and then that thought was confirmed with both King Kai, and many months later, Kaula. Now that he thought about it, there were only four times when King Kai gave him some training, when he was here: Getting used to the gravity, meeting the strange Snake Princess on the other side of Snake Way, and then the weighted training, where he achieved his most recent form in his rage... The hunter, since that, had fallen a bit out of health, surprisingly, and only came to do that when Kaula showed up and told him what happened to her. Not to mention her smacking the ever living hell out of him in their sparring match! After that, Kaula and he were given separate duties, with him being a gardener and accidentally setting part of it aflame in his frustration. "Hmm... Bing sent me here a long while ago, and I've been sitting around, mainly, trying to figure out why... Yeesh, they probably haven't seen me for quite some time and have forgotten about me," Pieter stated, slapping himself and laughing a bit at himself! He'd been sitting down on the grass, looking at the path to Snakeway. Kaula mentioned there being some sort of way for them to return, and for a little while, she'd been away, back on Earth for a bit to catch up with her mother! Pieter thought about the prospect of that, going back home briefly to meet with his family... However, he felt that he should actually show back up, fully alive rather than briefly. It was only getting through to him now that he was sent here, on the idea to get him training from King Kai! Right now, though, he was simply wrapping himself in these thoughts, what he was going to do when he got back, eventually.

"Don't worry, they haven't forgotten."
King Kai sat only a few feet behind Pieter, his eyes trained on the stony path of Snake Way just as the Saiyan's were. It was quite the magnificent structure, for sure. If it wasn't so long, the Kai might actually take walks on it from time to time.
He turned his attention to Pieter, who was now his eldest student. Though Kaula had learned more, Pieter was here the longest. He'd pushed himself to the limit and then some when he unlocked his Super Saiyan form, but he needed just a bit more of a push if he was to be ready for King Kai's techniques.
"You've come a long way since you first got here, you know. Kaula may have progressed faster than you, but I think you've gotten more benefit from this experience than she has. I think you're almost ready for my final teachings, but you've got a few more tests ahead of you. Do you think you're ready to face them?"

King Kai's voice approached from mere feet behind him! It startled Pieter that the old man was able to do that, Pieter quickly scrambling to his feet and shouting, "Holy crap, King Kai! How when what how- HI!"
King Kai wasn't finished talking yet. It seemed he'd been keeping track of Pieter's progress here, stating that he was apparently gaining the better experience than Kaula. He wanted to do some more tests with him, though, and wanted to know if he was ready to progress further. Pieter scratched his head, as he tried to figure out the words, and still trying to understand how he got behind Pieter so quietly.
"Uhm... King Kai, no offense is meant, but I'm not sure what you've been teaching us. The only things I recall you having me do, personally, is deliver a pumpkin pie to that Snake Princess on the other side of Snake Way. It wasn't exactly a enlightening experience, either. Then you had given me those really heavy weights, and this tattoo on the back, which actually doesn't look too bad. Felt lighter after using that, and then you had me and Kaula doing errands for you involving the garden and car... Sorry, again, about that," Pieter apologized, recalling how the plants each caught aflame after he zapped one of the attacking weeds with a small ki beam, "Aside from that and sparring Kaula, I feel I've only been developing power! While I don't mind it, I feel as though I should be developing more. If you've got more tests to throw at me, I'll definitely partake, but I the need for you to tell me what the purpose these tests have been thus far."

King Kai couldn't help but laugh at Pieter's question. It seemed that the Hunter was just a bit dimmer than King Kai realized. "Really? I'm surprised you haven't caught on! Each of the tasks I gave you was to test your skills: Taking that Pumpkin Pie to to Princess Snake was to test your speed. The pie was enchanted! If you would have taken too long the pie would have spoiled and Princess Snake would have eaten you for bringing her something so foul. In the end she tried to eat you anyways, but hey, you survived that easily enough!"
"Catching Bubbles with those weights on was to test your will and determination. If you would have given up you would have never unlocked your Super Saiyan form, now would you?"
The Kai stood up, turning towards his house as he moved away from Pieter. "As for the gardening? That was a test of your knowledge and reflexes. Also I needed someone to get my weeds out, so good job on that... Sorta."
Without missing a beat, The Kai spun on a heel, turning to face Pieter once again. His demeanor had changed to something much darker. He gave Pieter a cold glare, before speaking again. "These next tests will be the most dangerous you'll ever face. They require cunning, wit, strength, and excellent timing." A bolt of lightning struck the ground between Pieter and King Kai, adding an air of drama to King Kai's words. "You must... Tell me a joke!"
His face suddenly brightened up as the test was revealed. "Kaula was able to pass this test quite easily, so if you have any sense of humor you should be able to as well! Just remember, telling a good joke is an art; give them some thought before you blurt it out!"

King Kai laughed at Pieter's question, causing Pieter to lash out with frustration, "King Kai, don't give me that! It's an honest question!"The old man was quick to explain, elaborating on each part. The first test was apparently him being as fast as he could, so the pie didn't spoil and that Princess wouldn't try to eat him... Doesn't help that she tried to do that anyway! The weighted training explanation elaborated on him bringing out his will power, which helped bring out that Super Saiyan state. To Pieter, though, it was something he didn't want to rely on! It was focused on anger, and Pieter didn't like that sensation at all. The garden came up, with a quick explanation on his reflexes and knowledge being tested. The Kai was quick to glare at him, as he developed a dark demeanor! Pieter held up his hands, bringing his head back as he told him, "Again, my apologies about that, King Kai!"The reason for the demeanor quickly came to, though,as he elaborated on what it was to cover. Cunning, wit, strength, and timing... This was sounding like a sort of adventure he was sending him on! There was even a flash of lightning, before King Kai explained what was going on! Pieter was a bit... Stumped, by the request. King Kai wanted a joke... A joke! He told Pieter that Kaula passed it quick, and recommended thinking it out. The hunter blinked, slouching a bit as the request processed through him. "A joke," he repeated, questionably, "You want me to tell you a joke..?"He was thinking about it quite quickly, but a joke? Why was a joke being asked for? He probably didn't want a sore stick in the mud, maybe. Pieter hadn't really thought of a joke in a while... A really long while! Maybe he should go with something basic? Though, King Kai did just say to think about it, so he was going to do that. "Alright... Give me a moment to think about it."Pieter walked away for a moment, scratching his chin, as he sauntered around the planet. He remained looking at the ground for the next few minutes, until he ended up bumping into one of the few trees on the planet! He shouted, "Of all the damn things I could walk into, how the hell did I bump into this tree?! Gah!"He rubbed his head, as he made his way back over to King Kai, not really sure if he got something. There was, in a quick sting of revelation, a joke that came to mind! He walked back over to King Kai and asked, "Why's there so much bark on a tree?"( King Kai)

It seemed that Pieter had decided to take the methodical approach to joke telling. Whilst Kaula was content with slinging out hit after hit, it seemed Pieter was more intent on finding the perfect joke. A good trait to have for a Hunter like himself.
King Kai waited, and waited, and waited. He waited for what felt like an eternity, until something finally happened! Pieter slammed face-first into a tree, falling down comically. It was slap-stick humor, and although King Kai almost snickered at it, it wouldn't have counted anyways. It wasn't Pieter's intent to get so intimate with a tree, after all.
As the Saiyan Hybrid made his way back to King Kai, he posed a question to his teacher. It was an interesting setup, and it was definitely a new one to King Kai. "Hmm... Bark... Tree... Is it because they have a ruff time with dogs?... No... That can't be it..."
It took a moment, but the Kai eventually gave up trying to guess. "Alright, I give up! Tell me! Why is there so much bark!"

King Kai was quick to guessing the punchline, and wasn't too far off! He even squeezed in a pun himself, making Pieter think he shoulda used that one! However, Pieter replied, "They're all barked up because people bump into them and bark at them all day long!"Pieter winked at him, hoping he'd be getting the joke! ( King Kai, back at ya! Short and sweet's the name of the game here!)

As the punchline was revealed, King Kai simply stared in bewilderment. Never before had he heard such a bad joke! He didn't realize it was possible! King Kai might have been a firm believer in subjective taste, but you would have to like garbage to like a pun so... Poorly thought out! After a moment, King Kai found the strength to speak. "...Yeah. Not the best one. Try again!" With a snap of his stubby blue fingers, King Kai would materialize a set of enchanted weights around Pieter's ankles. It might not seem like a big deal now, but repeat failures would mean a bad time!

A pair of weights appeared around Pieter's legs, as King Kai told him to try again. He wasn't amused by the joke. Frankly, Pieter was not surprised by it! He was one to more tell stories and let the people find the humor in it.
"Alright, I admit that was a bad one. Let me tell you a story then," Pieter replied, not acknowledging the weights now bearing down on his ankles, "So, I'm not sure if you may know this story already about me, but have you ever heard of the time I tried to hunt a guy down by taking boar dung and berries?"

King Kai's head tilted slightly, his finger tapping idly on his cheek as he spoke. "A Story? I don't think you've ever told one to me..." He tried to recall any stories the Hunter might have told, but from what he could tell, it wasn't something done often by Pieter.
Perhaps telling a story would work better for Pieter. He seemed to be the type to lead up to a punchline for a while, instead of slinging out jokes left and right. King Kai shook his head as Pieter posed his question. "No, can't say I've heard that one. Sounds like a good one though!"

"It's kind of a true story, and gets a bit grim," Pieter explained, raising up his hand with a finger raised to further explain, "But, it's worth it!"He put both hands together, middle and pointer fingers extended. "Now... When I was on the run after the tournament went to hell, I decided to go hiding out in the Paozu mountains, which had a bunch of stories of its own. While I was out there, I decided to practice a little trick that I learned for hunting prey, so I could do the same for hunting a demon down later. That trick was to track by footprint and by scent! For the scent, I decided that I'd be making a little concoction involving some boar crud and cherries... Granted, I didn't want the scent to be too pungent, so I applied some sand to at a nearby bank and mixed it together. It was really pungent! Probably could be smelled for about a mile, 3 if you have a real good nose. So, I'm spending my time, running around with this dung in hand, looking for something I wanted to hunt! What ends up happening is I end up near a campsite, where these two guys are fishing, a bit suspicious looking, too," Pieter told the Kai, "So, I decide to go hiding in this pine tree, high up so that they wouldn't spot me... But they smell the dung I mixed up, wondering where it was from! Eventually, they reasoned it must've been a bear or deer that just went near by and resumed fishing."He brought his fingers up to his eyes, as he explains, while scrunching his face and widening his eyes, "So, while these guys are fishing, I'm staring them like this because the scent's starting to get to me! I'm wondering to myself, 'What the heck am I doing up here, just waiting...' I don't move for about three hours! Eventually, I decide to call it off and left into the woods! The reason I'm telling you this is because my tribe has a saying: Track by foot and you'll have a good hunt! Track by smell and you're sure to be covered in dung."What would King Kai think of this story of his? ( King Kai , Bing Gan you're up!)

King Kai listened intently, nodding occasionally as the story progressed. While it was quite interesting, the Kai was simply waiting for the punchline! As the story went on and on, it felt more like he was listening to something that's supposed to help you fall asleep! His eyelids lowered slightly, though luckily his shaded glasses hid this from Pieter.
As the Hunter's story concluded, the miniature god nodded sagely. "I see... An interesting story..." His antennae flicked forwards, materializing another pair of weights to Pieter, this time on his wrists! "But I asked for a joke, not a story! Keep your head in the game, Pieter!"
The story failed! Enchanted Medium Weights equipped! 60% PL Reduction! Keep trying, you're sure to break through eventually!

Unbelievable! The old Kai found no humor at in the story! The weights became immensely heavy at that point, causing Pieter to shout, "Are you ki-rrrrgh!"Pieter wasn't a joker, and apparantly, couldn't even tell something funny at the expense of himself! Pieter honestly felt as though he should tell King Kai to forget it. "You hadn't had that sort of experience growing up did you," he stammered with his struggling if the sudden weights thruster on him! Pieter wasn't sure he could tell a relatable joke to King Kai. A bad joke and a story about an event in his life, told from his perspective, didn't effect him! Should he just rant at him? No, that'd just be the same thing. "Got me trying to tell a joke in way similar trying to take care of a balloon with pins," Pieter grumbled, looking at him and telling him, "And they keep popping and making the room heavy!"(Eh. Didn't have anything. King Kai)

King Kai watched with uncertainty as Pieter grunted in discomfort. It seemed Pieter was having quite a hard time with this one. It was quite disappointing, to say the least. Pieter had been his first student in quite some time, and he'd been doing great all this time! Maybe the Hunter had lost his edge after being here so long. "Just focus, Pieter! Give it thought, and you can think up a real winner!" Pieter Wolfbane You've got a few more chances! I'm sure Pieter can think of something if he gives it a long moment of thought.

"Still expecting something... Ok."Pieter really wasn't one to tell a joke. More stories, and find the humor in the events that happened and laugh. Not... Puns or jokes! He'd only left his village in the first place to find the answers for his former beliefs! It led to him running into people left and right that just wanted to fight again and again, and the one time he'd shared that, he became a once uncontrolled beast that ruined the lives of thousands. From there, he spent his time in the wild, trying to bide his time and build his strength so that he could put an end to the Demon, Oguma, and stop that Tsumuri guy from killing! He met lots of people and, the more he thought about it, the more glum he became... He'd spent no time trying to be happy for himself. Even at his brother's wedding party, where he drowned himself in booze and laughed with his family and friends, he felt empty. After that, he came across Zucceta and things from there just went so far south, he was ending up North! Pieter sat down, trying to put together something, but nothing came to. He shifted his hands, stating, "I... Actually don't have anything to laugh at, then. Just a crippling weight that is what I spent the last few years of my life doing. Fighting battles with people and trying to get strong because people kept grabbing for power over others for some insane reason... UNDOUBTEDLY!"He was getting angry, again. The more he thought about all those people over the last few years, the more he just wanted to go back and kill them..! It was just like the serpent again, from before the beginning of his journey! It wanted sacrifices, control over his tribe. He decided to put up his fists and killed the sodding snake, with his family... A thing that his tribe believed to be a demi-god! "You know what, I do got something! Ever hear the story of the tribe who thought giant animals were child gods of a giant serpent? They spent their whole lives, looking at the pedestal, erected by some hero from so many ages ago, the mummies in the Western Deserts weren't even born yet! They spend their whole lives, worshipping the damn thing and the Namekians because they're symbols of a God that doesn't exist... Not in the way they could dream about! They come up with stories, to explain the meaning of the symbols that stretch all the way to the heavens, where the Namekian chosen by 'God' lives, and they become the 'vassal of God.' From how the mountains form, to the hurricanes that bring death around, there was a giant animal for that... Then comes a kid, about 25 years ago now, who's born in the same tribe. He gets told all these stories, and among these stories, one stands out to him: One about a wolf who wants to see the world."Pieter was solemn, as he thought about the story, "It goes, 'There was once a wolf part of a pack. Young and strong, the wolf grew interested in the North...' This was during a time when people thought planets were flat and thought the Earth was center of the universe," he quickly interjected, before resuming, "'The wolf is told not to go, that all the wolf needs is there. However, the wolf wants to know what's up far North! So, he goes, leaving behind his pack. Along the way, he meets these animals, who give him these tasks. A salmon needs help getting free from the rocks to return to the river, a bear who wishes for an equal, and a eagle who wishes for a wise and intelligent person to speak to. The wolf accomplishes each, and he acquires a ruby pearl necklace, a claw to attach to the necklace, and a crown made of twigs! Signs of his good will, his strength, and his wisdom acquired... He gets to the North, and he sees a great, vast ocean, with small blocks of ice floating around! He's thirsty from his journey and he decides to go get a drink... However, despite his gifts, he is killed! Eaten by a Killer Whale!' It's supposed to be a story about always expect the unexpected. Who tells a group of kids that sort of story?!"Pieter obviously had a few chips on him. For some reason, he couldn't think of anything even though he was thinking back on his previous life! ( King Kai, Bing Gan, here you go.)
