(This thread takes place after "Introductory Rounds!", however time has still passed beyond the designated time given previously.)
Delays; one after another via natural disasters. A specific hybrid was irritated due to this fact, yet it never truly did. The hybrid husband Celmaru Waterfield had only gotten stronger since those past weeks, practicing with the mastered Super Saiyan state in the meantime. Several ideas of more advanced techniques came to mind within the timespan; each week finding another delay to further boil the hybrid's blood. The same excuse week after week.
"I'm very sorry sir, but the recent disasters around the Eastern Lands prevent us from continuing this tournament without threatening the lives of both our spectators and participants...please forgive us for the inconvenience."
The tide within the nearby river had risen a singular foot and there were immense winds over the course of the previous month. The Ekam Manor was miles away from the hybrid's home. Of course there was the possibility of disasters within areas nearby their home; yet Liam would've surely convinced someone by now. Lying flat atop his home's balcony, his legs dangling off the edge mere inches above the cobblestone courtyard; Celmaru felt the blazing heat beat down upon him. The temperature was above ninety degrees Fahrenheit, at least. Cicadas buzzed incessantly within the sakura trees about the immediate vicinity. An aroma hung around the Waterfield home, a lazy breeze swirling its scent around.
"Its quite warm out today, husband, please stay inside to maintain your health."
Shifting his gaze behind him, leaving his vision upside-down in the process, the hybrid's wife came into view. The seaweed woman Phae Waterfield had revealed herself in a more conservative set of clothing. A light, knee-length summer dress encompassed the woman's figure; fluttering about near her kneecaps. The dress, of course, was her classic green hue; a wide, white sunhat resting atop her head in contrast. Phae's prominently pregnant stomach was becoming rather obvious since the first rounds began...a noticeable bulge hanging beyond her waist. Two Ki signatures radiated from within.
"I'll be fine, Phae. I'm still in the shade of the porch here."
"Come now Celmaru, your health is just as important as mine would be!"
"Does a deity ever get struck with an illness?"
"In a mortal frame, perhaps."
"Exactly. Also, have you sensed Walker recently, might I ask?"
"Don't change the subject husband!"
The seaweed woman's cheeks began to puff slightly upon his blatant subject change.
"Other impressive powers have been revealing themselves lately. Most of them have been near Walker's evolved form..."
"I said don't change the subject~!"
Phae's tone had more of a whine to it, rather than anger. The hybrid chuckled briefly as his wife attempted so desperately to send her husband inside. Floating horizontally for a moment before readjusting himself, Celmaru spun to face his wife directly. Guiding his left palm to the seaweed woman's cheek, swiftly adding the other to the opposite cheek; the hybrid planted a firm kiss atop Phae's forehead. The sunhat nearly fell off Phae's head in the process.
"The burden I've given you only makes it worse to see you stressed. I'll tend to you later, alright? I'm going to check on the tournament administrators today...or perhaps I could swallow what pride I have and ask the opposing family-"
It was the boisterous clomping of footsteps that interrupted the hybrid's words. Faint swearing and slurred mumbling was audible from beside the home's stone stairway; the nearby village held an odd cast of folks. None of them ever drank enough to intoxicate themselves, as most of them were older. Celmaru pondered over the possibility of a drunken Human man, however there was something far worse to reveal itself. A familiarly dressed student appeared upon the hybrid's property, brandishing a thin bottle of alcohol in his right hand.
"Fuckin' - ...is this a place that I was told to go? LIAM AND HIS BULLSHIT TOLD ME TO DRAG YOU BACK! HYBREEEEEE!"
The couple stared at Efirts Ekam in his drunken stupor. The student's necktie was hanging outside his vest, swinging weakly as its wearer looked about. Efirts's spectacles were nowhere to be seen.
"THIS PLACE LOOKS LIKE A DAMN MOVIE SETTING! YOU'RE SUCH A BIIIIIITCH HYBRUUUUUUUUUU!"
"...Er...should we...?"
"I believe we should, husband."
"WHY THE HELL DID LIAM SEND ME FOR THIS SHIT?! I'M THE WEAKEST LITTLE BITCH IN THE FAMILY THAT'S WHY! WOOOOOOOPTEE-FUCKING DOO!"
The Human's language displayed both hidden aggression and unfortunate language. Leaping off the balcony, Celmaru began taking a brisk stride towards the Ekam relative; deciding that he was being irritatingly obtrusive. Clenching his fists, the hybrid began to attach a telepathic link with a certain tree to notify him of this....occurring incident.
'...Walker, the tournament might finally be continuing today. Efirts is at my home...and he's rather...intoxicated. He's be shouting about Liam sending him here.'
