The chaos surrounding Sangu was caused by hundreds of soldiers. Alien soldiers, wearing the same armor that he himself once wore. Purple aliens, orange aliens, blue aliens...creatures from the far reaches of the universe, all led by one. As his eyes fell upon her in the midst of the chaos, it seemed that everything went silent. The world around them had stopped as the two locked eyes.
Sangu and Domino. The Ace of Diamonds and the Ace of Hearts. At one time, the two of them had been unwilling allies but after Sangu had learned that long ago Cube had killed his parents though he'd agreed not to if Sangu served him. The really sad thing was that Domino...had been personally charged with killing his mother.
The Crimson Haired Warrior growled as he looked at Domino, clenching his fists. "You monster..." his fists shook as his anger grew, the air around him wavering. "...tell me, bitch, did my mother beg you for mercy before you murdered her?!" His aura flared a deep red and he took a step forward. "Now you want to come here to EARTH?! These people had done nothing to you!"
The second cruelest of the four aces, Domino, smirked and flicked her white hair from her face. Through corner of her bright blue eyes, she caught a running child...but kept her true focus on Sangu. "Oh please, Sanguinis. You know good and well that these vermin are populating a planet that Lord Cube wants for his summer home. Heh..." she chuckled, her cold demeanor returning afterwards. "...it's nothing personal, my dear. It's just business!"
With that one statement, the voluptuous purple alien fired off a blast of white ki at the escaping child. Sangu, quick to react, fired off a blast of his own. The red blast disintegrated the white blast and the little Earthling hid behind a pile of rubble.
Domino looked at Sangu, amazed. Her blue eyes were wide and her mouth was agape for a moment before she looked back at him with a sultry grin. "You...you shouldn't have been able to stop that blast, let alone be fast enough to catch it with your own! Mmmm...sexy. Little red has grown up, hasn't 'e?"
"Don't..." he sneered. "...call me that, you witch." He felt as if she was right though. At one time, she was thrice his power level. But at the moment, he could feel that the two were dammed near equal. Still...he would need to cause her to retreat. Or worse. He straightened up, his lips turning upwards into a smile. "I think it's about time you and I get a bit of closure to our relationship. Because no matter what happens here today, "dear", one of us is going to die. You're not gonna come to my planet with that weak shit. So put up or shut up."
In this moment, Domino isn't sure that she is making a mistake. But she will accept the challenge of her former friend, because Lord Cube would accept no less. She was sure that even though they seemed equal in power, he was still the young kid she'd duped into believing his family was still alive even though they'd been murdered not long after he'd gone into the employ of Cube.
Domino darted forward, her arms held at her side, chest pushed out as her purple aura flared. Her eyes narrowed as she came close to the Crimson warrior, and she threw a hard left, striking him in the jaw following up with a forearm then a knee, Sangu's feet leaving the ground slightly.
Sangu took the momentum of the punches, drawing back his arm, a pulsating ball of red energy surrounding his fist. In midair, he pushed his arm downward with palm oustretched, firing off a blood red ki blast. As it sped toward Domino, Sanguinis smirked. He'd put quite a bit of energy into the attack, and he knew that it would be quite a suprise to the woman.
"Crap! No fair!" She practiced evasive manuevers, throwing her body to the side, the blast driving a crater into the ground. She sped through the air toward Sangu and the two met midair. To the naked eye, the two warriors' kicks and punches were a blur and neither one gained a clear advantage until Domino flipped backward. She held her hands out and exclaimed "Violent Storm!" Small beads of ki, like raindrops travelling horizontally, pelting Sanguinis.
Sangu held both arms crossed in front of him, inching backwards in midair as blood began to ooze from small cuts on his body. He absorbed the brunt of the raindrop themed blast, but wasn't prepared for the hard kick to the stomach from Domino, her axe handle to the back sending him crashing into the asphalt below.
For a moment, the world went black as he laid there. The pain was excruciating. How did he not see that coming. Right then and there, he almost thought about giving up. He'd never been able to beat the Ace of Hearts in any of their spars...what made him think he could do it now?
No...no, there was no time to be thinking like that. He rolled over onto his back and pulled his legs up, following it up by throwing his weight forward and standing on his feet. He smirked, a trickle of blood sliding down his cheek. "You got lucky that time, right? You threw such a weak attack that I'd started thinking you weren't taking this seriously. But.. " he chuckled. "...that knee and axe handle combo? That shit hurt, lady. Tell you what...since you're taking this seriously now, I'll fight seriously too!" He dropped down into a stance, his aura exploding outward before he bent his knees and darted upwards at Domino.
Domino braced herself as the combat prodigy advanced on her, blocking his first two punches but grunting and groaning after being double over by a third. She coughed a bit, but barely had time to speak as Sangu continued his assault, a flurry of lefts and rights sending spit and teeth flying through the air. She blocked a punch and spun in midair, leg extended, striking Sangu in the jaw.
Sangu flew backwards into a large, stone building, the building crumbling as it's inhabitants stood outside and watched the amazing battle in the street. Sangu felt immense worry as part of the building plummeted toward the group and swiftly flew down, firing off his Fury Grenade into the mass of stone and steel...vaporizing it. He fell to a knee, having expended a great amount of energy.
He could hear Domino chuckling as she landed, her boots clinking on the ground. "Well, well, well...look at you. Trying to play the hero." She grinned, half her teeth missing and another one falling out as she looked at Sangu and the group. "What a pity that you must die, Sanguinis. Your efforts would have been appreciated, if these people cared about heroes!"
He looked up at her, then looked to the people surrounding him. Seeing that they were all alright, he stood, adjusting his weighted gi calmly and staring at Domino coldly. "Sure...these people don't know they need a hero. Heck, they probably don't even appreciate my actions just now...." he panted, the attack's power having left him slightly winded. But he wouldn't give up. Domino had to go. "...but unlike you I can lay my head down knowing my intentions are pure and no good shall die by my hand! Never again!"
She sneered as that good came out of Sangu. She never wanted to see such things from him. "Such a goody goody! Lord Cube had such high hopes for you!" She rushed downward at the Crimson haired warrior, fists ablaze with ki. Throwing a fast right, she struck Sangu's jaw, swinging her arm upwards, her other fist jarring his teeth together and knocking his head backwards.
Sangu staggered a bit, Domino rushing forward and driving her fists into the midsection of Sangu. The man fell down to a knee, blood dripping down onto the cracked cement below them. Domino rushed to his side and punted the human across the asphalt, Sangu slamming into a tree trunk hard!
Coughing, Sangu pulled himself up to a knee and shook his head. "You...you think..." he coughed up another wad of saliva laced with blood. "...you're going to win. That's cute! But you're about to realize that you're wrong...because you're going to die here today, Ace of Hearts." He stood up, his body wracked with pain, ribs bruised. His air intake was hindered a bit as he gasped for air but he pressed on...aura blazing outward as he rushed Domino.
Domino narrowed her eyes on the human as he neared her. She was a bit more experienced than Sanguinis after when it came to fighting. As he neared her, she simply lifted a knee into the space between his eyes and sent him flying.
Sanguinis had hit yet another tree, knocking it down onto him once more. He laid there, drifting into darkness. Domino yawned, looking at the human. "Pft. He can't beat me, and he knows it." She reached down to her communicator and spoke into it. "Withdraw. This Planet isn't worth Cube's time right now." And the soldiers began flying into the ship once more, Domino following behind.
Sangu laid there, darkness overshadowing his conciousness. He didn't win...he just bought Earth some time.
