Sai couldn't help but smile at his trainer's concern at Sai's safety. "Don't worry Celmaru-sensei, I promise I won't fight her or anyone until I'm sure that I can win. Promises don't go by so easily with me!" He laughed just before Celmaru began to talk about Etoru. Sai was interested... A child this strong, what a prodigy. Sai was interested, but he also hoped that at one point he would surpass his mentor as well. Then Celmaru made Sai realize something. That he needed friends to help him fulfill his wishes. He smirked at his mentor's remark and placed his hands on his laps. With a cheerful smile he said, "Well I know that I have about 2 people on my side, at least I hope. Celmaru-sensei, and my best-friend Core! I'm also sure I'll meet more people along the way!" Sai couldn't help but not think about the Fungi at the moment, it didn't seem as relevant and he wanted to learn more from his mentor. He disregarded Celmaru's last statement and began to ask away. "So Celmaru-sensei, tell me more about this Super Saiyan thingy. I want to know what it is and how to get it! Also, I really want to start training! Even my bones are beginning to rattle by all this sitting around." He smirked at his mentor, awaiting an answer. Celmaru Waterfield

Sai's carefree optimism was commendable, if not potentially naive. The hybrid secretly wished he could have such a joyous outlook, supplying both happiness and a content security within those around him. Unfortunately, knowledge wasn't the most beneficial thing dwelling within Celmaru; facts of the Kami of Earth's position, the death of multiple prominent powers in the universe, Walker's constant push to take action, etc. left the hybrid with nothing to say. Despite his newfound strength, the hybrid felt near-completely useless. Forcefully dismissing such thoughts, Celmaru heard the name of his adoptive son; Core Stold. Quirking a brow towards the younger hybrid for a moment, both the hybrid and Phae reacted. " You've met my son? How convenient! We won't have to fumble around with introductions then." " Ah, you've met Core? I do hope he was polite to you..." " Hopefully you didn't face him in combat, he can't revert into his Suppressed Form anymore!" " My...his usual state would be in the millions within power measures, wouldn't it?" " Exactly!" The Waterfield's second successful adoption was an oddly cheerful arcosian. Keeping up with his adoptive father, along with being able to withstand such power with a grin on his face...Core was an uplifting sight to behold. The hybrid swung his right arm upwards and around, placing his plate behind the trio as his thoughts wandered. Aetherius Brand appeared to be the target for those fungi-bandits, however they still seemed to be controlled. Another plethora of thoughts and a disrupted train of thought later, Sai mentioned the Saiyan's "legendary" transformation; Super Saiyan. " Ah yes...Super Saiyan. When a Saiyan warrior of any kind reaches a specific plateau of strength...he or she likely has the potential to reach that form. You're seen the physical metamorphosis earlier, albeit the mental and emotional effects were vastly reduced from what it typically would be. Any Saiyan-esqe personality traits are amplified exponentially, reaching that beyond any normal Saiyan's. I was fortunate to master the transformation before I ended up destroying the planet!" " Oh how stressful that time was..." " An unbearable amount of arrogant pride, a pitifully obvious god-complex....I was a mess in a non-mastered Super Saiyan state..." " Er...regardless, I'm fortunate to have never fought many Super Saiyans, especially Etoru. At the time we had met him...he didn't seem rather stable." Scratching his head sheepishly, Celmaru listened to Sai as he felt anxious to continue training. This eager desire would likely have consequences later on in his life. A lesson on training was in order, it seems; as the hybrid had an unfortunate experience with constant training. Waving his right palm towards his student, the hybrid gestured otherwise to Sai's suggested spar. " Sai...let me tell you what occurred when I found myself training...er...constantly. My body began to backfire, cracking and popping incessantly...I had almost completely stunted my Potential by forcefully attempting to increase it; training for the majority of the day. I required muscle surgery if I were to allow proper Ki flow within my body....and so I was ordered to rest every once and a while...if not for at least half a day, each day. Unless you want your own Ki to tear your being apart, please take some time to rest today....after all, its only morning as of now." " Ah! On that note, would you like some more tea?" The seaweed woman sprang up, standing near the two warriors with a tiny grin upon her facial features. Phae would be prepared to swiftly refill the glasses of the two hybrids, along with her own. Regardless of her two inconveniences, Phae would try her best to remain as active as possible. However, her husband had other ideas; silently hoping that she would take time to rest herself. Despite his concerns towards his wife, the hybrid folded his arms across his chest, nodding slightly. Sai's answer, of course, would be determined by him alone. Sai

He smiled as his sensei talked about Core! Who would’ve known that Celmaru-sensei had adopted Core! That was so confusing for Sai, but he made it work. What Sai hated the most was how Celmaru spoke so greatly of Core. He felt jealous, because not only did he never hear his father talk about him like that but he knew that it never happened. For the first time, Sai saw what a father’s job actually was; to support his children. Celmaru indirectly helped Sai realize how bad his parents were at being parents, and Sai did a great job at hiding his anger.
“Don’t worry Phae-san! Core was really polite, and he’s one of my best friends!”
As Celmaru began to talk about the Super Saiyan mode, Sai grew happy and light up as he believed that one day he could reach this mode. It seemed to increase ones powers many folds and make him unbelievably strong. He didn’t even care if he couldn’t control it, after all that golden hair was sure to look really good on Sai. He also loved the way that one’s hair spiked up and became really cool looking.
“Celmaru-sensei, I’m going to become a Super Saiyan!”
He smiled at his trainer, until Celmaru started to talk about no longer training for the day. The speech he gave him about training too much would strain the body and hurt it seemed like total lies to Sai. He’d never heard about something as training too much. How was one supposed to get stronger? If he wasn’t going to keep training how was he going to get stronger? How was he going to protect his parents, and the ones he loved?
“But… Celmaru-sensei… If I stop training how am I suppose to get stronger if I don’t continue? How am I going to protect my parents?! How am I going to protect the Earth! The only planet that allowed my family to live here in peace!!!”
Sai found himself beginning to shout at the end. Speaking about the Earth and his Parents got him a bit red and boiled up, but he didn’t want to show Celmaru that he couldn’t control himself that much. He smirked and looked innocently back up at his trainer.
“Sorry Celmaru-sensei… I didn’t mean to be disrespectful…”

"Well, that's wonderful to hear, Sai." Phae still awaited an answer from the young hybrid, however speaking of Core's manners (given that they were sufficient) was often nice. The hybrid grinned weakly, the knowledge of his son's politeness confirmed.Leaning backwards in his place for a moment, noticing a familiar spur of emotion behind Sai's eyes. Celmaru's weak grin dissipated as he shuffled slightly as he sat, listening to his student as he mentioned that he'd become a Super Saiyan himself. How surprising, this hybrid had a similar mindset to a plethora of other Saiyans, including Celmaru himself at one point. ' ...That form would bring him too much attention. A second child that could transform into a Super Saiyan...I'd hate to see them both in their teenage years.' ' Its another stage of life, why would you despise it?' ' Ah, that's right...you never went through puberty...you were sort of born this way, weren't you?' ' I know that process, husband~' ' ...Then why do you not- ....er...anyway, we should just...er...move on from this subject.' The hybrid did a numerous amount of regrettable acts within his pubescent years, including obtaining the facial scar he was sometimes known for. Dismissing the flood of memories from his past alone, the hybrid chuckled nervously, wondering how Sai would change if he achieved Super Saiyan. A classic case of arrogance? A god complex?...Possibly even extreme urges of bloodlust? Only time would tell with this inquiry. Unfortunately, this seemingly lighthearted conversation began to shift south...simply in response to the hybrid's suggestion to take time to rest. Sai made a rather relatable point about the protection of his parents, the planet, etc...however Celmaru's lips could only begin to curve into a disapproving frown. Despite as much; a prominent thought persisted within his mind. ' ...We...appear to have more in common than I anticipated.' Leaning forward promptly, the hybrid hunched over, staring at the younger hybrid without a word. Behind that carefree, almost careless exterior happened to bear a concerned protector; it reminded Celmaru of himself when he was younger. Protect his parents above all else, worry about yourself later. That was what he had usually thought to himself as he trained and slept in his past few years of solitude. Regardless, this was Sai's Human side speaking; compassionate and prone to succumbing to his emotions. As the child apologized, Celmaru took a moment to nod, and pat his student's shoulder lightly before speaking. " Sai...you're both Human and Saiyan...however in this sense, you're only Human. One day you'll be able to destroy planets, become a golden warrior that Saiyans legend murmur of...yet at this point, you can barely tap into any Potential you have....well, most likely. Yes, you'll need training, however if that's all you do..." The hybrid paused once more, selecting his diction thoroughly. " ...You'll succumb to another part of your genetics; fatigue. Not one person in this universe is invincible, nor immortal. Without rest, you'll die sooner than I ever would. You'll grow more swiftly with rest than you would without; your body will need time to strengthen itself after training. If you never allow it to rest, you'll face stiffness in your joints, improper Ki flow, stunted ability....and eventually death. Now on that note..." " I accept your apology, however this will be one of many lessons for you." Releasing his full power, leaving nothing to hold back, the hybrid shot behind Sai. Straightening his left hand before slamming it into Sai's nape, Celmaru suppressed his Ki last second, ensuring his student's survival of this simple strike. As the hybrid's palm rocketed towards his designated striking location, he uttered a few simple words as he did so. " Lesson One...Rest!"
Ki Setting lessened further! PL is now 150,000! Later suppressed to 10,000! (Sai's weighted PL would be 13% of this PL!) Sai...I apologize for the delay, had a birthday. XP

Sai didn’t know what to expect from his sensei, nor did he want to know. He felt weird; he didn’t feel the same in any way. When Celmaru kept talking about his Saiyan v Human side, Sai couldn’t help but let himself out again.
“Well if the only reason I like being half Saiyan is the power I’ve been given. Other than that, fuck all of the Saiyan scum that believe they’re the perfect race. The only reason I train is to protect the ones I love, and to protect the planet that I love so much.”
Sai began to listen to his master again teaching him a great lesson which he hoped to use throughout his life; to rest. He didn’t want to cause any pain to his master so he decided to listen. Yet, when his master smacked the back of his neck Sai was fairly scared he would get knocked out and that's exactly what happened. Sai slowly fell down and slept straight on his back. His eyes began to flicker and he felt like he was getting turned off and on back again. He muttered "not again..."
