{ PROFILE }
general information
Born Banjo in the Timeless Lookout, Western Frontiers, Earth
Also known as Kami-sama, God and The Guardian of Earth
When walking amongst humans, he disguises himself as Imak
Namekian
8 years old
description
Banjo stands 229cm tall and weights 120kg, being even taller than Piccolo was. He looks pretty much like any normal namekian and has gray-ish eyes. Physically, Banjo bears a muscular build.
To preserve his identity amongst humans, Banjo uses his psychic powers to hypnotize people and disguise his true self, taking on the identity of Imak. Imak is an unusually large human with a green spiky hair with a ponytail sprouting from the back. And pointy ears for some reason.
personality
Banjo is a rather taciturn person. He repressed his personal wishes and the feeling of guilt he has because of what happened between and his father, which is also what reinforces his sense of duty; he didn't became Kami because he wished so. He did it out of regret. He has a strong sense of justice, seeing how he idealized protecting Earth with his own hands as a kid, much like the warriors from the distant past. This makes him more willing to take part in Earth's affairs, although this doesn't mean he will necessarily intervene in everything. Banjo doesn't have a sense of humor and is unable to understand sarcasm.
{ POWERS AND ABILITIES }
bukujutsu
support, SU
link to wikia
Banjo is able to fly/glide/float through the control of his ki.
tri-form
support, SU
link to wikia
Banjo is able to split into 3 copies of himself, greatly increasing his offensive capabilities. This has a drawback, though. When the fission happens, Banjo's energy resource is equally divided amongst the clones and they are also proportionally more fragile (x2-x3 times weaker than Banjo himself). Banjo's strength and speed remains the same, however.
kyodaika
transformation
link to wikia
Namekians can expand their bodies to sky-scraper heights, increasing weight, durability and strength and yielding a 7x increase in power.
telepathy
special
link to wikia
Because he is Kami, Banjo developed special psychic powers. He is able to talk telepathically with other people and is able to see everything that happens on Earth. He can also hypnotize people to make them see things that are not real. He usually uses these illusions to disguise his true self from others, "appearing" as Imak to them, or to trick cheaters or those he deem unworthy into not being able to find the mid and top section of the Sacred Tower (mid section being where Old Master Korrin used to reside and the top section being where Banjo himself can be found).
unique traits
Namekians can regenerate wounds and even lost limbs at the cost of some energy. However, they cannot regenerate brain tissue or from decapitation, and more likely than not a powerful attack will still kill them.
Some have also demonstrated a flexible body and can stretch limbs (culminating in the ability to achieve their giant transformation), and through a special technique can fuse with another namekian for a power boost.

introduction
Banjo is the offsring of Vailin, the regent Kami on Earth during te 27th century. He is also a direct descendant of Dende, for once he felt his days were coming to an end, he spat an egg and passed on his legacy to his child, something that became some sort of a tradition between the overseers that came after him. That also meant all guardians inherited the ability to create dragonballs from their fathers, as all of them were Dragon Clan.
There is nothing really uncommon or special about Banjo’s story. Like those who preceded him in his family line, he was supposed to be trained throughout his childhood to take on the role of Earth’s next Kami so Vailin could finally rest in peace, knowing the planet would be in good hands. He was taught about Earth and its previous guardians and also received physical training to further increase his powers, sharpening both his mind and body. Making a true guardian out of him, however, wouldn’t be the easiest thing for Vailin.
Banjo was born with a free spirit; he was more of a do-er and less of a thinker. From the tales told to him in his childhood, the ones that most captivated him were the ones about the Z fighters; the fabled warriors that saved his ancestral’s life and also Earth numerous times. Banjo wanted to emulate them. He wanted to protect the Earth with his own hands and thus, he valued his physical training much more than his mental education. This is also due to Banjo’s rebellious nature. In his core, he denied his Dragon Clan heritage. And he wanted to prove that against all expectations, he could surpass any namekian from the warrior clan.
By the time he was 6 years old, Banjo was a full grown namekian standing 229cm tall and weighting 120kg. His physical prowess was sharper than ever, though his mental acuity was still feeble. And naturally, he also lacked the discipline expected from a guardian. However, he was an adult now aand no longer he could behave like a rebellious teenager. He needed to accept his responsibility and for that, Vailin began to push him, specially since he new his days would soon come to and end and Banjo needed to be ready by then. The young namekian however had his own ideals and refused to stand still in a tower for the rest of his life, watching the earthlings as a mere spectator like he envisioned the “job” of his father. If he was to protect Earth, then he would do it in his own way. That divergence of ideas led to a heated discussion which resulted in Banjo leaving the Timeless Lookout, to continue his training on his own.
That would be that last time he and his father would ever speak to each other.

{ TRIVIA }
Banjo and Vailin names are a pun on musical instruments (Banjo being obvious enough and Vailin being a corruption of violin), Imak is merely Kami spelt backwards.
Since Dende in the show remained a kid/teen for about 5 years, while Piccolo Jr. matured up to adulthood in merely 3 years, I assumed Piccolo aged twice as fast for being a "mutant" (King Piccolo was technically a demon since he is the incarnation of Kami's evil side) and therefore considered him fully grown at the age of 6.
The reason why Banjo uses a disguise is just so no one figures out the Earth's guardian is amongst them and trace "Imak's" action back to him.
