Articho hoisted the two large boxes onto his shoulders with ease. His tail swished back and forth as he walked towards the door of his mother and, as of recent, father's house. He was dressed in a white tank top and an old pair of blue jeans. He approached the door and used his tail to turn the handle on it before easing the door open. He turned sideways and ducked down slightly to get through the door and pushed it closed again with his fifth appendage. The hybrid made sure the door was secured before looking back out towards the large ship parked in the yard. It was the one he had escaped from Knutts in, now dug up from the snow and the dents banged out, though it was still the same prison gray with the Space Prison Knutts logo printed on the side. His father stood at the base of the ship, scratching his chin. The Saiyan armor he had worn during their fight was long gone, replaced by a simple shirt and jeans. "You should let me help you," he said, without looking back at his son. Articho scowled at the suggestion. Turrip continued without acknowledging his displeasure with the idea. "Your mother would love to see the two of us doing something together." "My mother would also love to see me not risking my life to protect the Earth," the hybrid retorted as he walked up to the ship. He set down the two boxes on the ground, the revealed paint cans clattering around inside them. Articho dusted his hands off before continuing, "yet, here we are." "That's different, kiddo," Turrip said, looking over at Articho. He didn't return his father's gaze, instead choosing to open up one of the boxes and pull out a can of silver paint. "I'm just looking to spend time with you. Trying to be an actual father to you." "Should have tried that seventeen years ago, then," Articho bit back as he cracked open the can of paint. Turrip didn't say anything in response, though he didn't move from where he was standing. After a moment, the hybrid sighed and looked up at his father. "I get what you're trying to do, okay? Just... give me some time, alright? For most of my life, I've resented you to hell and back. Probably dabbled in hating you a few times. It's hard to shift away from that. So, just let me sort this out." Silence passed between them, until Turrip nodded and walked back inside the house. Articho watched him walk away, then turned back to the paint as the door closed. He grabbed a paint roller and a printed out picture of the paint job he wanted on the ship from the box and floated up to the side. He looped his tail through the paint can, held the paint roller in his right hand, and the picture in his left. The hybrid dipped the roller into the paint can and began to paint, watching the Space Knutts logo slowly disappearing beneath the silver sheen. Arias

For some reason, Arias walked into the desert just wandering around. She knew of nobody that lived out in the desert, and it confused her to sense a powerful energy in the desert after a bit of simple walking. The hybrid Saiyaness was walking along, a tiny basket in her arms as she walked. She had a blanket draped lightly over the basket, so no sunlight got in while also making it cool on the inside. Inside was a little girl, both of them having the exact energy signal, but Arias' was much stronger.
Deciding to hone in on the powerful energy, Arias lifts into the air and flies for the source. Curiosity beat common sense, and she wanted to see who was the owner of this great power. She soon saw a ship which made her twice as curious. She saw someone levitating with a paint roller in their hand, and smelled the silver paint from that far away. She approached then slowly and with no ill intent, hoping not to get the owner of the power level aggressive in any way.
Arias was pregnant with twins, and had a baby girl in the basket with her. Her aura was gently flickering around her, a bright blue ki aura, rivaling the sky in color. She noted one of them was irritated, and shakes her head. Approaching the house further, she came into definite view, and sensing should any of them have it, or picked up by a scouter if anyone had it. She got closer, and stopped about arms length away, hovering in midair with the basket in her arms.

As Articho rolled the paint over the side of the ship, he tried to keep his thoughts focused on what he wanted to detail the hull with. His jumped around between different decals, maybe have its name painted on the side with the fireball logo on the back of his leather jacket. It would be pretty neat, especially with the red and silver paint job he had in mind. Try as he might, though, the young hybrid's mind kept wandering back to his father. At first, he had only felt animosity towards Turrip and he thought that once he beat his father, that'd be the end of it. Articho would drag his father home by the tail, hand his father over to his mother, and go on with his life. No worries, no interactions, nothing.
Then it all went sideways when his mother decided she wasn't mad.
Yoguri, instead of smacking Turrip, went back to the starry eyed girl from 17 years before. His father had gotten off scot free and wanted to bond with him now. Worst of all, his mother was encouraging it. Now he was stuck under a cacophony of parental affection some people couldn't even dream of, even more now that he had escaped from Knutts. He was glad to have an excuse for some privacy from his parents with painting his ship.
Articho had managed to get some of the silver parts done by the time he sensed the energy flying towards his house. He looked up towards it, his face reflecting his confusion. No one ever visited his parents' house. He floated away from the ship for a moment and stared out at the approaching energy. He saw that it was a woman with a basket in her arm, a Saiyan tail, and a lump beneath her clothes in her stomach area. A Saiyan, or at least a hybrid, and a pregnant one, at that. He was wary for the time. Ninjin was the last pregnant Saiyan woman he had met and his cheek still felt sore from all the times she slapped him.
"Hey," he said before dipping his roller back into the can and continuing his painting. "What brings you all the way out here?"

Arias watched the silver paint gleam in the light, slightly attracted to the shininess of the painting job. She turned to look at Articho, tilting her head to the side slightly. Arias wasn't showing her pregnancy too much, but her slender figure showed it more than others would think with the fact she was only four weeks pregnant. She had no tail, and was a bit touchy about it should the question arise. Her ki aura flickered softly, no ill intent detectable, because she would not have any ill intentions.
She watched Articho return to his painting, and blinked looking at the ship. "Knutts...?" She whispers. Did he escape from Knutts or something? Maybe he works there? I don't know. Best not to ask it may irritate him. I wouldn't want to aggravate someone that could possibly go Super Saiyan and wreck me in a heartbeat. Arias shakes her head, blinking to get the thoughts away. She heard Articho speak, and replied back. "I sensed a fair amount of energy coming from this area, curiosity cooked the cat I guess, and I came to investigate."
Realizing she forgot something, she blushed slightly and continues to speak. "Where are my manners. Hello, my name is Arias. Might I ask what your name is? I should have introduced myself before." She says, keeping a friendly tone. Fuku shifted and cooed quietly in the basket, Arias smiled softly and gently reached inside to pet her sleepy daughter.

Articho looked over at the woman with a slight smirk on her face. He had heard what she whispered it what seemed to be disbelief. The hybrid finished covering up the Knutts logo with the silver paint. He floated down towards an area he hadn't gotten to yet and dipped the roller back in the paint. He continued painting as he nodded. "Yep, yep," Articho said with a smirk. "Apparently, they hate me on Vegeta pretty badly, so dropping by wasn't the best idea. I got my butt shipped off to Knutts and the rest is history." He looked over to her and smiled warmly. "Don't worry, though. I'm no hardened criminal. The SSE just didn't like that I fought them off a few months back."
"Ah, but satisfaction brings the cat back, so no harm, no foul," Articho replied. "We don't get too many visitors out here, so it's nice to see someone come by. I'd shake your hand, but..." the hybrid raised his three occupied appendages, "I'm a little over encumbered right now." His ears pricked up when he heard a noise coming from the basket on her arm. He raised an eyebrow in confusion as he stared at it. "That is certainly the first time I've heard bread make a noise," he said, cracking another grin.

Arias watched Articho smirk and watched him hovering around painting the ship. She rolled her eyes when she heard of the home planet for the SSE, giving a snort of contempt at the very name. "If they hate you, Zucceta can stick her cyborg arm up where the sun doesn't shine. She's so touchy about everything and her pride is overall very stupid. The day she dies is the day I'll get a tattoo." She watched him smile warmly at her, and returned the gesture with a smile of her own. "Well, they never like when someone foils their plans, do they? As I said earlier, Zucc can stick it where the sun don't shine."
When she heard him speak again, she listened to what he had to say, chuckling at the three occupied appendages. She hovered closer, not getting too close to his personal space and looking at the silver paint job. "Its fine, there's no harm in not shaking a hand. I would help but I am occupied with something myself. You'll be surprised, this isn't bread much to your belief." She cracked a small grin, peeling the blanket off the top to reveal a tiny baby girl made from moss. "Her name is Fuku, she's my daughter."

"I wouldn't have stood against her if I didn't follow that same line of thinking. Her arrogance costed her much in her invasion, but..." Articho paused for a moment. He stopped painting for a moment and lowered his arm to his side. The arrogance he so despised in Saiyans had bitten the warriors of Earth in the behind, leaving a void where Bing had once stood. And in the aftermath, he had sense more energies disappearing from the universe, with Zucceta's only growing larger, "we've suffered just as much because of that same arrogance. We really don't have much room left to speak about sticking things were stuff doesn't shine." The hybrid chuckled a little bit, then finished off the section he had started. He glanced at the picture in his hand again and floated around to another section that needed silver paint. Articho dipped the roller back into can and continued his work.
Articho looked down as Arias peeled back the blanket. At first, he thought it was just a pile of moss and a red flag immediately went up that this woman was insane. Then the baby squirmed around, making the younger hybrid blink in surprise. He'd seen some strange stuff before and so far, nothing had swayed him more than the vampyres until now. This certainly took the cake.
He looked back and forth between Fuku and Arias. The family resemblance was not very obvious between the two of them and he couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't result in him either getting slapped or making her laugh. "Well," he finally said, "congratulations on your...cabbage. Sorry I missed the baby shower. I would have brought the ranch dressing."

Arias shakes her head in understanding and sighs. "Well, that is very true indeed." She replied. "I've had problems with my pride before. How can you all sense the energies of other fighters from so far away? I've never really understood how, I thought sensing was limited to just the planet you were on.." She tilted her head slightly in confusion. This was a bit confusing to her, but she eventually wrapped her head around it. "You must have fine-tuned ki senses. I'm perfectly fine with the stuff on Earth. Helps me focus, really."
Fuku yawned softly and sits up, opening eyes similar in shape to Arias', but a different color. Arias looked down at the little girl and smiled gently, watching her smile and coo at her mother. Arias loved Fuku, and she looked at Articho when he spoke. "CABBAGE!?" She snarled angrily. "Why the hell do you think its fine to call my daughter cabbage and threaten to eat her by bringing ranch dressing?" She asked, waiting for Articho's response.

"Comes with the territory. It's almost like confidence and pride is just sewn into Saiyan DNA, but it arrogance can get to everyone," Articho said, slapping more paint onto the ship. The silver glinted nicely in the sunlight and he was looking forward to seeing the finished project. He shrugged in response to her next question. "It's hard to explain, because I don't really know myself. I guess it partially because of experience, partially because the power Zucceta had was absolutely universe shaking. I never really bothered to learn the reason why. Ki is more of a tool for me rather than something I need to study and fully understand."
Articho mentally rolled his eyes. Why was everyone such a stickler? It seemed like everyone he tried to joke around with took him way too seriously. The hybrid saw some movement out of the corner of his eye and glanced over. His mother and father had stepped outside and were looking between the two of them, almost expectantly. Their gazes were telling their son to apologize for his joke. Articho sighed inwardly, before replying to Arias. "I'm only kidding. I don't eat living creatures, especially people's... children. I've already had more than my share of being cannibalized and I would rather not have a part in that."

Arias lightly tilted her head, flicking one of her ears. She looked at the paint job, noticing the pretty silver gleam of the ship. "That is a nice shade of silver, really reflects the light. I understand if it is too difficult to explain. I use it as a tool as well. Understanding life energy is confusing, and without knowing the meaning of life, how can we truly understand the exact power of the ki energy we wield? We can't." Arias spoke, her tone seemed to be slightly distant, before she shook herself back down to Earth.
When she saw his parents, she looked over curiously with her ear flicking again. When she heard Articho speak, she returned to looking at him. She nodded gently, honestly not able to hold any sort of grudge. "I don't cannibalize either.. although, I admit I used to in the past, but I no longer do this. By the way, nice ship. You're lucky you can even get off the planet if you needed." At the last sentence, she gave a dry chuckle, shaking her head.

"It's going to look absolutely stunning in space when there is no light," Articho replied sarcastically. He reached over with the hand that held the picture for her to take. It showed the ship, though it had been edited look like the paint job was red and silver. "This is what I want it to look like when I'm finished. I'm planning on adding some decals, but I'm not sure what to go with. I think I'm for sure going to slap the name on one side, maybe add the fire logo from the back of my jacket next to it." He paused for a moment, scratching his chin with his now free hand. "And somewhere, I'll etch the three guys' names who were key to my escape. They died so I would get away and to leave them off of here would be wronging their memory and what they did for me."
The hybrid shrugged. "Well, some people can. More spiritual people than me, that's for certain," he said. "I think it takes a better understanding of the flow of ki to be able to manipulate it so you can heal people. Again, I don't know. It's not really that high on my priorities list."
Articho paused when Arias said she used to cannibalize. He stopped rolling the paint onto the side of the ship and slowly turned his head towards her. Alarms were ringing in his mind as his brain told him to bail, but he simply smiled unsurely. "Well, I'm certain you had a good reason for...eating...them..." the hybrid said, keeping his voice as steady as possible. His expression didn't change when the woman changed subjects and he did his best to continue the conversation. His arm began to slowly roll the paint onto the hulk of the ship again as he spoke, "It was a bitch and a half to get. Weeks of planning, learning how to drive a ship, and burning a tunnel in the wall was hard enough, but coupled with needing to start a riot, needing a ship to steal, and three of my friends dying to ensure my escape certainly didn't make it like a trip down to the used car salesman."

Arias chuckled quietly, amused by what Artichoo said. "Of course there isn't light in space, I'm not exactly stupid. you know~" Arias replied. She takes the picture and looks at it curiously, seeing the red edits and blinking. "Oh, that is very pretty. Nice choice of color and decals. Your loyalty to your friends is strong, do not lose sight of it." Arias returned the picture to Articho, while Fuku watched curiously with huge amber eyes. Fuku watched Articho scratch his chin, and giggled slightly.
When Articho slowed and slowly turned his head towards her, she furrowed her brows slightly, she noticed the unsure smile, and sighed quietly. "It was to survive on the planets I have been to. I didn't know how to cook back then, and I had to eat whatever was closest. I disliked it, believe me, but I needed to do it to survive." She watched Articho continue to roll the paint on his ship, and flicked an ear as he continued to speak.
"That.... is insane. Wow. You've had a really rough time huh. You must be a good person to have such loyal friends, and a good leader to have coordinated the escape." She flicked her ear again, and then looked at Fuku, who was still under the shade of the blanket. She returned her gaze to Articho, awaiting his response.

"That's only a picture and an edited one, at that, so it might not look the exact same," Articho said, glancing back at the picture in her hand for a moment. He nodded in affirmation and continued his work. "It should still turn out pretty cool looking in the end, even if it did start out as a prison ship." He patted a dry part of the ship, making a dull, metal clanging noise. "This is more than loyalty. I owe those guys, for my life and my freedom. There's nothing I can really do to make up for what they did, but I can keep their memories alive. Hopefully, the rest of the guys in our crew are doing the same. Wherever they are."
Articho breathed a sigh of relief. "Gave me a scare there," he said with a grin. "When you said 'cannibalize,' I thought you meant you ate other people, not animals. I can understand doing it for survival and now, it isn't so bad since you've clarified what you meant. My instance was back..." the hybrid paused, thinking for a moment. How long ago was that fight? It seemed like ages, given that all that happened. He continued after a moment of thought, "a long time ago, to say the least. The guy I was fighting decided to take a few chunks out of me while we were fighting. I ended up winning, though, so that's a plus."
"Tough time is a mild way of putting it. Daily tasks like eating and showering always held the threat of bodily harm," Articho commented. He shrugged at Arias' observation. "I would like to think so and the guys I was with were a little shady, but they stuck by me. All in all, good men. I couldn't have done it without them."

Arias watched Articho, and nodded in respect for the other male. Sure he was younger than she, but loyalty was a respectable thing. She twitched an ear when she heard the metal clanging around as Articho patted it. "Anything can be nice with a little bit of effort put into it to make it that way." She replied, smiling a little bit. She made sure Fuku was still laying in her basket, and the little girl was asleep, the blanket's shade protecting her from the heat.
Noting that Articho took what she said a completely different way, but decided to keep her mouth shut about it. He took it the wrong way.. I have eaten other humanoids before.. but hey. I'm not going to correct him about it. She listened to Articho speak, and was a little bit surprised about the entire thing. "Yeah, it is a plus that you won and I'm glad to see that hopefully your chunks have replaced themselves.." The hybrid Saiyaness replied smoothly. "Friends are a good thing to have.."

"Yeah, I'll bet," Articho said, taking a glance down at the baby in the basket. He almost didn't want to know who the father was or how a planet and a person came together to produce a kid. One would think after all the aliens he met in Knutts he wouldn't bat an eye towards strange sights, but this took it to a whole new level. He turned to look at Arias, pointing his free hand towards the basket. "Sorry, I didn't ask this before, but do you need anything? Something to drink? Some...water? Maybe some...Miracle Gro?"
Articho looked down at the spot where the chunk had been taken out of his arm. It had healed pretty fast and it had left a very faint scar behind, the only physical memento of the vanished warrior who had left it. Oh well. He was a huge dick, anyway. "I couldn't agree more with that. I'd rather not being missing pieces of myself." The hybrid nodded at her next statement, not pausing in his work this time. "Yeah, but they can come and go like the wind..."
