(Thread PL: 27,200 | Heavy Weights ON: 6,800) Present Day
He hovered over the sand with his legs crossed in the Lotus position, arms folded across his chest. His eyes were closed and he had blocked out the world, reflecting on a many things. He reflected on his recent battles with Cube's forces and had beaten them. He'd been reflecting on his spar with Shivere, his initial reaction to the Arcosian having been ill conceived. He remembered why he'd disliked Arcosians in general, even though that dislike had diminished a bit by now after meeting people like Defrosch and Core Stold.
Nonetheless, he remembered...
14 Years Ago(First Contact)
A large spaceship casts it'a shadow over the small village in the Fortune Teller's Desert. A young child, of ten years old, stops in his tracks after catching a Frisbee thrown to him by a younger child, of about six. The two stare up at the spaceship for what seems like an eternity, until the youngest child looks at his big brother and stammers. "Big bwother Sangu, what's going on?"Consider this the point where we first meet Sangu. Back then, he was short for his age, but also very toned. Very fit. He'd yet to grow his back length hair, or even begin his extensive training yet he was born strong with his father being a great martial artist. He pulled his brother close to him as the ship released three pods, the pods slowly lowering to the ground and landing gently. "Stay close, Hemo. These guys don't look very nice. Remember what mommy said, you don't talk to strangers." He warned the younger child, standing before him protectively.
The pods open, steam pouring out from their hatches. From the first pod emerges a large man, with lifeless black eyes, wild black hair, wearing the armor of a Saiyan general. On the right side of the center pod, there is a beautiful young woman, with light purple skin and white hair that cascades down her back and over her shoulders. She looks to the center pod which contains a third warrior, wearing the same armor as the other two, except he is far different. With liberty spike horns upon the top of his head, exposed green skin, three fingers, three toes, and a long tail with what looks like a mace on it. He is an Arcosian. He looks at the two standing on either side of him and smirks. "This is Earth? Hrmf...hardly seems worth the trip. I sense no high power levels in this city...except..." his glowing blue gaze full on Sangu. "...for you. Heh. You're surprisingly powerful for a youngling.""What in the blue blazes are you talkin' about, Mister?""Oh...forgive my manners." The Arcosian's tail swayed behind him as he walked over and squatted next to the unusually powerful youngster. "My name is Cube, and I am what you may call a....talent coach..."
Present Day
Talent coach? That'd turned out to have been a lie. What really happened was so bad that he didn't want to remember it. His power level spiked as he growled...

The wind from the sandstorm blew Alexander's cloak about as the torn, broken flag of a long-dead nation. The man moved, his footsteps falling one after the other as the grains of sand tore at his hair, his skin, his eyes. The thin veil of Void that surrounded his features kept them safe from the harsh maelstrom of sand that turned rocks into pebbles, and pebbles into more sand to fuel the nightmarish scene before him. He knew not what drew him to this place, only that he felt a calling. As if something were here that might wish to investigate. Despite the heavy wind, and the sand-blaster of a storm that he walked in, Alexander felt absolutely no fear as he moved forward, his eyes focused straight ahead in the storm. He wondered, vaguely, if there was actually someone out here, or if his senses were merely playing tricks upon him, as they were wont to do at times.
A particularly harsh burst began to make its way toward him, and Alexander gave a small sigh of irritation as it approached. He closed his eyes, still putting one foot in front of the other, letting the wind do its best to push the weighted coat around, but having little-to-no success as he marched endlessly onward. Were he a lesser man, he wouldn't have been in the sandstorm in the first place, but this next rush would have put him on his ass if he weren't as powerful as he were. The Void subtly increased its protection around him, the trillions of shuriken-like sand hammering away at his natural Void armor as it did so. He felt nothing, save for the pressure of the sand pressing against him. Even still, despite the constant ravaging from all directions, Alexander moved on, having no sense of purpose but forward. He had chosen his lot in life and there was no looking back. Forward was the only path that he could travel.
The pressure stopped then, and Alexander chanced opening his eyes into the harsh gale, only to find that he had made his way through it. He and his bag were virtually untouched, save for a few grains of stray sand in his hair. He paused, glancing behind him into the maw of the beast that he had just emerged from, virtually unscathed. "Such forces of nature cannot hope to stop me...I wonder what fighters remain on Earth that can hope to challenge my power," he spoke, his tone something a bit different than Alex would have normally said...but he had felt himself changing, lately. Subtly, of course, but a slight shift toward something that would involve him becoming the strongest power on Earth. Nay, the universe. He wanted nothing more than to handle that level of power, to become something akin to a god on this land, and he felt that he had that power dwelling within him. He just needed to find a way to release it.
His footsteps continued to carry him forward, his emerald gaze happening upon a man who appeared to be meditating. The spike in power was interesting, but Alexander wondered what this fellow was capable of. He had begun seeing not as what they were, but what their limits were. What they could be pushed to and ultimately how far they were willing to go for power. The Void rippled along his right arm as he walked, approaching the man. If Sangu were to sense Alexander's approach, he would sense not ki within the young man, but something that almost felt as if it didn't belong, on this plane of existence. Something simply 'off' about him and his power.
"Greetings, stranger. I see I'm not the only one to brave the sands of the desert," Alexander called, the young man still walking forward.

His rage had spiked his already rising power level as he thought about the way he was used by Cube. He'd basically been used as nothing more than a hired killer, which really didn't sit well with him considering he'd been a good hearted child to begin with. So many lives taken for the sake of pleasing his master, and in the end, his master had killed his family. Not to mention that, he'd lied about it. Kept him going with the promise of seeing them again.
Sensing Alexander coming close to him, he opened his eyes. It was good to see a fellow human in his travels considering he'd only seen Saiyans and Arcosians up until now. He extended his legs before him and stood up straight, his 6'2", athletic frame impressive save for the bandages wrapped around his ribs and arms. He smiled. "Oh yes, I've been here training for the past few days good sir..." he offered his hand in greeting. "My name is Sanguinis, but you can call me Sangu. What do I call you?"

Alexander's gaze didn't shift, didn't change as he watched the fellow set his feet down, as if he'd been sitting upon a sofa or something a little more suited to resting one's weary bones than the air that Sangu had been sitting upon. The Void didn't particularly allow for that sort of training and as such, the young man could only look on in a sort of quiet, begrudging respect. He wondered if he should be upset at the loss of his use of Ki, but in remembering just how much of his power he'd gained now since he had made the full switch over to the Void...he supposed he couldn't complain.
The other gave a greeting, indicating he'd been in the desert for a few days- that was certainly an interesting predicament. Alex hadn't ever trained for that long in a particular area, save the school. He would just get too...bored with the sameness of it all, time after time. However, as the man offered his right hand, Alexander lifted his own into the air, in response. The Void twisted around it, writhing and almost breathing as if a living creature.
"I am Alexander Voss," he returned. "I hope you do not mind that I shake with my left," he spoke, moving to extend his left hand forward. He didn't offer his reasoning why, though perhaps the view of that strange energy would be reason enough. He couldn't recall if anyone had outright denied him a handshake with his right arm before- but he didn't really wish to start that train, and instead he would just use the left instead.
"I prefer my full name but many have taken a tendency to calling me Alex," he spoke, before he glanced out over the sands of the desert finding miles of nothing in all directions. "What reason do you have for choosing here of all places?" he asked, his gaze sliding back to Sangu. "There is little...here," he spoke, making a gesture with that right hand out over the barren landscape.

Sanguinis glanced at the strange energy around the right hand of the man, but he didn't ask any questions. It would be considered rude, which is also the reason for his not staring at the "void" for too long. This here was the first purebred human like himself that he'd seen in a long time, and he wasn't about to make a huge deal about that unique form of energy. He quelled his curosity, and raising his left hand he shook Alexander's, his handshake firm. "I don't mind at all. It's nice to meet you, Alexander. Since you do prefer your full name be used, then I've no qualms with calling you by it."
Sangu looked down at the shifting sands below his feet, and had felt the emptiness of being alone before Alex had showed up. Little known fact about Sangu: He just didn't trust anyone that much to stay around them for too long. He looked over in the direction indicated by Alex, long raven hair swaying and blowing in the wind. "First and foremost, I chose to isolate myself from my teacher and his other pupil. We had a bit of a problem the other day with some people...really bad people...who hunt me endlessly...they wold stop at nothing to destroy me, and I don't want them, my teacher and his pupil, getting hurt on account o' me."
He then shrugged. "As for training out here? It's one of the harshest places on Earth. I just want to strengthen myself so that I may protect mankind fron it's enemies...and..." he sighed. "Itself."
He took a deep breath and strengthened his resolve. "And what are you doing out here in the middle of nowhere, good sir?"

Alexander returned the greeting and handshake with a nod of his own, signifying his thanks in using the full name. It had been the one that he'd been given, named after a young conqueror who had, in myth, supposedly united the entire world at a very young age. Hence he preferred being called that, to reference his origins and allow him to embrace that destiny, if only figuratively. He hadn't the power to unite the world under his rule. Not yet, anyway.
Sangu's answer interested Alex. The man was apparently hunted by someone that was not the best of people. While Alexander had wronged a few people in his time, he hadn't reached a point yet where he had people after him. He was...curious if that might be the case if he continued to walk the path that he was on, but by that same token, he didn't know if anything would even come of it. His own mark on the world was still relatively small. He was an unknown, and he preferred it that way. But this Sangu had done something, or perhaps simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time, and he was now hunted. How very...curious.
"I see," Alexander responded, his gaze moving back out to the endless sands of the desert. "If these people are as bad as you say, what would stop them from perhaps kidnapping and using your teacher and the other student against you?" he asked, curious. If he were truly in need of confronting someone, that's how Alexander would act. He wouldn't outright challenge who he was after, but instead go after their close ties and that which they held dear, such as mementos and that sort of thing. It would be the easiest way to make someone lower their guard in a rage, and also guarantee they come to you without needing to try and track them down yourself.
Alexander didn't want to ask about what he'd done to incur their wrath, although he was curious. "I share that sentiment," Alexander said after a moment, his gaze moving back to Sangu as he recalled the fight that he'd had against that strange majin creature those weeks back. "I feel that we humans need to overcome our weaknesses to stand united against these threats that lurk out from beyond the stars." Alexander, of course, also had other plans, due to the influence of the Void. But he had become aware that so far, the only people he particularly liked were other humans, or zoanthropes, in the case of Samba. Kay and Core were nice as children, but he had a feeling that as they grew, they would change into things that he wouldn't care for.
"Much the same as you," he answered, glancing back toward Sangu. "I need to know what my limits are. My limits have not been reached yet, and I cannot find something that can test them. I had seen on the television that there was a sandstorm and though the wrath of mother nature may be a good test...but I emerged unscathed," the boy spoke. "I need to find something that can stop me," he said simply, seriously, his emerald-eyed gaze moving to Sangu.

It wasn't too uncommon for humans to seek the power to protect their own then. He was glad to hear this, though he wasn't too sure of Voss' intentions. He seemed a bit strange to the young human, but then again, everyone he'd met up until this point seemed strange. He looked up at the mid day sun, wiping sweat from his eyebrow. "The stars are a dangerous place, my friend. People like the APPC lurk amongst them. That's Cube, my rival's, organization."
His eyes widened slightly as Voss made the statement about Cube and his men attacking his friends while he was not around. "I never really thought about that. I know it's ironic to think that I would worry about them so much, yet not even consider them trying to hurt my friends during my absence." He said. Voss was seemingly a very wise man, and Sang started to feel that he could learn much from him.
The strange energy irked his human curiosity and as the man mentioned looking for something that could stop him, Sang just nodded his head. He was a brave warrior, but not stupid as the case would be with many of his human brethren. He simply stated "I would offer to train with you. But I can feel your power...and I am not sure I would be much help in the long run."
Mind you, he was always willing to train. He'd learned from Etoru though, that some fights are best left unfought. He just chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. He knew stopping Voss would be a struggle for him. Brave. Not stupid.

"The APPC," Alexander repeated, trying to see if that name meant anything to him. Unfortunately, Alexander tended to live under a rock, and as such, he didn't particularly know a great deal of things that was worldly...and APPC was part of that. Thankfully, Sangu provided an explanation of it, at least something of one. His rival apparently had an organization of sorts- that was interesting. Alex wondered if it was a full-fledged one such as the one that his father owned...granted his father was simply a businessman, and not anyone of ill repute. At least for the most part- there were the occasional reports of his father dabbling in things that he shouldn't be, but he didn't very much have the heart to investigate those.
He took note of Sangu's reaction but said nothing to comment upon it. He was one of those who saw things in a singular direction, rather than examining them by all sides, as Alexander often would. "I would make certain that they are then secreted away at least. Somewhere that none would be able to find them- that would be the primary course of action that I could imagine for you. That or remain by their side...or perhaps hire a guard of some sort," the male said, giving a small shrug. There were a lot of options that he could stem from that.
Alex gave a small sound at the man's mention of training. "Even if you do not match me in raw strength, I have learned that there is often a wisdom in examining the styles of others. There are a number of others that I have learned from that I am more powerful than," the boy said, giving a small shake of his head. "Wisdom comes from all areas, and as my teacher once told me, there is no knowledge that is not power," Alex murmured, moving to brush a few of the strands of hair from his face. "But I suppose that there is not much use in training...though I can force my body to adjust to your strength, if you wished to spar," Alex spoke, turning his gaze onto the man.
"That is, if you think that you can keep up with me," Alex said, giving a small smirk to the other, showing the barest hints of humor with him as he had with Samba before, as well.

"The APPC are a group of Planet Pirates. Not quite as big as the ones of legend, but nonetheless just as evil. I plan to become a protector of planets like Earth which cannot protect themselves." He sighs. He knew how difficult of an undertaking a task such as this could be. He knew that he had a long way to go, considering he'd tried to join the Z-fighters and not gotten a response. Maybe that was the way of his life, wandering these hard roads alone. "But I know that I have a long way to go before I can begin to even fight against those who would threaten Earth, at least seriously."
Alexander's suggestion was a good one. He was glad the Shojiro and Vyrna lived in a very remote part of those forests in the Western Frontier. He knew that he couldn't be there to protect them all the time but also knew that Shojiro was a great martial arts master, despite his age. With age came experience though. "Shojiro is an old warrior though....lots of experience. He taught me how to harness my ki more efficiently though I sense a different kind of power from you, so I'm not sure you'd understand the value of that. No disrespect intended." He chuckled lightly, offering the young man a smile.
He then listened to Alex, who actually had a few wise words for him. "I agree, Alexander. There really is no knowledge that isn't power, your teacher was a wise man. So a spar couldn't hurt anything, I suppose. I am curious as to how this strange power you hold works and it would be nice to have a challenge like the one Etoru had given me."
He noticed the young man's smirk, and replied with one of his own. "Oh? Do you doubt that I can keep up with you? Well, if that's the question, let us find out, eh Alexander? But first..." he offered his left hand once again. "...we will have a fair and impartial fight. Honorable." Offering a handshake before the spar.

Alexander arched a brow. Planet...pirates? Every time he spoke with someone, it seemed like there was just another thing out in this universe that he had no idea over. He wasn't entirely certain how he was going to be able to understand how someone could commandeer an entire planet...though he figured if there were some that didn't have the power to defend themselves against someone like Alexander, a whole group of them might be able to take over and secure a planet, leaving it defenseless. But then what? Sell it to the highest bidder? That seemed so...odd. He supposed that it worked for some people, but that just wasn't anything that he had any plans to deal with. Besides, if this APPC tried anything on Earth, Alexander would crush them with his bare hands.
At Sangu's words, Alexander nodded. "Shojiro sounds like my master as well. He taught me how to utilize my ki...that was, until I developed this other power," he spoke, though developed wasn't exactly the right word for it. Ayumu had bound him by contract to something that he didn't understand, couldn't understand. And now it had grown so far out of control that Alexander didn't think there was any way to bring it back. He was lost to its power now, and he knew that. The trick was just controlling what he had left. "None taken. I've mostly lost all ability to use ki by this point," he said with a small shrug. "Though that was through no fault of my master."
"Etoru?" he asked aloud, trying to sense if he knew that name from somewhere but he did not believe he did. Nothing quite came to mind, and he wondered if this was someone else that had a great deal of power...and if so, how he could get to fight against them. He rolled his shoulder then at the other's words. "I know not that name, but hopefully I can provide a similar level of challenge for you," he said softly, before he exhaled softly, about ready to begin the fight...when Sangu continued, extending out his hand once more to shake on a fair fight. An honorable one. He didn't plan to do anything particularly dishonorable, but he supposed he should treat this as a spar, rather than a fight.
"Agreed," he said simply, shaking the fellow's hand. He moved to take a step back away from him then, letting the tendrils of Void leak down from his shoulders, forming into several long sinuous strands. These moved, then, wrapping around one another, writhing together almost as living snakes before they began to take on the form of large, bat-like wings, formed of that Void energy that often surrounded Alexander. "Forgive me. The Void does not permit flight- this is my alternative," he spoke, before he moved to take up his stance...which was none at all. He had stopped using a stance lately, relying solely on his Void-powered body. He let the weak amounts of ki mix with the Void in his body, weakening it, and lowering his overall strength. "Let's see how you respond..." Alexander spoke, before he raised his right hand, the void beginning to flare up before he released a burst of energy toward the other. It was unconcentrated and basic...but Alex was curious.

The APPC was an everyday "thing" in the life of Sanguinis Plasmas, The Ace of Diamonds. He knew what they were capable of, having his base training from it's leader, Lord Cube and although Alexander Voss was unimpressed by the stories Sangu would tell him, Sangu explained everything with conviction and even fear in his voice. These guys were no joke, at least to him. The arching of the brow came off as mere confusion, but he was slightly offended. He could have seen it as Alex believing him to be a liar.
But that couldn't have been the case. Maybe Sangu's mind was running wild because he hadn't been able to trust anyone. Alexander was no different, but he was starting to open up a bit to the warrior of the void. After all, his curiosity made him want to learn more about this other human who was SO different than him. It wasn't everyday that he saw other pure blooded humans.
Hearing Voss' thoughts on his master, he nodded his head and cracked his knuckles. "So the way I understand it, our training was very similar. Honestly, I cannot imagine what it must be like not to be able to use Ki, though judging from this strange power you have and it's magnitude..." he smiled, and Alexander could see an excitement in his eyes. This was an excitement that was similar to that of a Saiyan! He wanted to see exactly what this guy could do. "...we're going to have one hell of a spar, and quite frankly, I love that fact. Be forewarned, Mister Voss...I'll not be holding back in the least. But I fight without hate in my heart, but the spirit of a warrior!"
"Now..." he took a step back, his eyes flashing with a latent energy which was remarkable for a human. This was pure, untapped Ki and he didn't know if Voss could feel it or not but he soon would. The air around his feet began to swirl, the sand rising up slowly and creating another small sandstorm. With an Earth shattering yell, he began to power up, Ki rising off him as invisible waves at first like heat then turning white as it skyrocketed. His Ki locked the air like a bonfire and rose to it's base peak...at least he was honest. He would not hold back...well...as much as he couldn't while wearing his weighted clothing "...forgive me if this hurts a little, Alexander. I don't intend to lose, friendly spar or not."
He exploded forward and took a fast swing at Alex, twisting his body and raising a knee towards the man's side...he wasn't playing games. If the punch hit, that would leave his opponent open for the sharp knee to the gut.

Alexander had no doubt that the words that Sangu was speaking were in fact true, however, he couldn't help but to find it difficult to fathom. People who went around conquering and selling planets seemed to be...so very odd. Still, he supposed that it was a very real possibility, it was just not something that he had seen before, and the very thought of it was both interesting as well as...silly. Of course, he wouldn't say such to Sangu, not wishing to trivialize the hardships that the fellow had no doubt endured in his lifetime.
His gaze fell on the other, and he could sense that Sangu was excited for this fight, and perhaps beyond that, he was interested in what Alexander brought to the table. He supposed that there were few that had witnessed the power of the Void, and as such, he could always count on others being bewildered at the concepts that Alex brought forth. Power that they couldn't understand, and there were only two responses that Alexander had yet seen to his power: Fear, and Interest. It seemed that in Sanguinis' case, the latter was the emotion displayed at seeing this unique ability that Alexander handled.
"I did, for a time. But it was never much of anything," Alex spoke, and such was true. He didn't have much power at all with it anymore, not since he'd stopped training with it. It was like a muscle of sorts, and he'd stopped exercising it. He had focused solely on the Void, and his power had grown from it tremendously...but even so, Alexander could not help but to wonder if he would have had a different outcome in life if he had simply...stayed away from this power that now consumed his body. But Ninjin had spoke to him before he'd had a chance to make that choice...and had suggested he walk the path less traveled...and here he was, as a result.
His expression did not change as he saw Sangu's power, the other showing something that was fairly remarkable for a human's power. Even still, Alex could not feel that such a power held much of a chance against him. However, it wasn't anything that he had expected to come from a human. Alex had thrown himself headlong into a power that not only could he not fully control, but also that had a tendency to control him, when it so wished. The fellow gave a shout of power, drawing everything he had out of him. Even throughout, Alexander's expression never changed. The calm, cool mask that he wore like a second skin covered his features, showing no sense of surprise, fear, or even any emotion at all, merely a blank slate. "You should come at me with all that you have, or else this will be over quite quickly," the young man spoke, even as he readied himself for Sangu's attack.
Alex's readiness showed no stance, no change in posture. He merely stood, the boy's legs straight and his arms bent slightly at the elbow as he waited. Sangu rushed forward, and the Void User's emerald eyes followed the movement as it came forward. Alexander did not dodge- it was not something that he did. The punch slammed into his side, and he gave only the slightest grimace as the knee followed, striking him in the abdomen. Alex took a slight step backward behind it. "Not bad," he offered aloud, no hesitation in his voice, no wavering, no sign of injury, yet. "My turn," he responded.
Fond of kick attacks, Alexander's body twisted from where it stood, and he pivoted on the foot that was set upon the ground, his entire body rotating, as if winding up for the strike. It was only a single rotation, but he fired his left foot outward, seeming to split the very air around it as it shot forward, aimed directly for Sangu's chest. The strikes had hurt, but he had needed to feel the attack first-hand, to know the damage that Sangu was capable of before he fired his own counter attack. He had no need right yet to let his full power out- that would be little more than bullying. The kick itself held with it all of the power that Alexander wielded at the moment- combinations and such were not part of his repertoire as much as single, powerful attacks were.

He was hitting with everything his weighted body would allow. Basically, his full power was suppressed, and had this been a serious fight he would have removed those weights. This man, the Ace of Diamonds , was the very epitome of a warrior. Always seeking new challenges, his pulse pounding even as he faced off against what may be a more powerful opponent. But this was the point behind training, so that he could attain such power.
He wouldn't lie when they asked him "is this even about Lord Cube anymore?" No. It wasn't solely about felling the APPC as much as it was making a name for himself as Earth's defender. At least one of them. He knew that he'd need power to be considered a serious threat to villains.
As his hits connected, his own expression never changed. He was "in the zone" as the expression went. And seeing that powerful kick, infused with the power of the void, he needed a way to counter it. Yet he didn't. Instead, he took the kick and slid backwards, sand around his feet brushed to either side. But he never left his feet, instead, Alexander would see a small red ball of Ki form in his hand.
While charging the attack through his amazing focus, a warrior's focus to be sure, he exploded forward and drove his charged fist into the abdomen of Alexander...but he was amazed...the man showed no sign of being in pain. "Let's see how hard that head of your's is!" He reared back and drove the crown of his head, at full power, into Alexander's forehead. He followed that up with a massive uppercut, followed by a straight thrust kick into the stomach...going all out...

The other seemed to not be quite...here at the moment, and Alexander couldn't help but to wonder if perhaps the boy wasn't even fighting him, in his mind. It was entirely possible that that group he'd mentioned before, the APPC, had taken up residence in his mind as being his targets. He wondered if that might mean this Sangu might take things a bit too far, but if so, that was just fine to Alex. Sparring was all well and good, but a life-or-death fight was so far the greatest enjoyment that he'd been able to pull out of the world. He had never been able to experience these before the Void, but now he had the full reign to simply let things fall together like that...and while he had only experienced a handful, it was more what he was after now, than he'd ever been.
The blows connected and while he expected Sangu to attempt to avoid the kick, he did not. Instead, the boy simply took it straight-on, something that Alexander wouldn't have expected from someone of his power. Still, he'd limited his own capability to at least make this fair. Had he not locked his strength at a lower level, he would have likely shattered the boy's arms with that attempt at blocking. His gaze narrowed at the orb of ki that was formed in his hand, and Alex was curious what he planned to do with it. Samba had unleashed a number of ki attacks at him, but Alex wasn't certain if Sangu had managed that...yet. However, as the boy neared, he could see the attack in his right hand coming towards him. Reflexively, Void armor moved around his abdomen where the blow landed, cushioning the attack and letting it deal very little damage to the void user.
"You'll find that a mistake," Alex responded evenly, moving to drive his own skull forward, a dull 'thud' echoing out between the two of them as their heads connected. It was a rather empty sound, as was often the case when two skulls collided, but it didn't seem that Sangu was done as he fired an uppercut toward Alexander's jawline. The Void user leaned in, slamming his palm onto the boy's fist before any real power came there, nullifying the uppercut before it even came to pass, though the thrust kick caught him in the chest, causing Alex to take a small step backward from the force. There was a slight lull in the air between the two of them, then as Alex watched the other. "Not bad," he said after a moment.
Without warning, Alexander shot forward, the boy sliding on his pivot leg as he approached before he spun low, his leg extended to attempt to take Sangu's feet out from beneath him. However as he rose, he used that rotation from his body to pour power to his left, throwing a powerful straight. Should Sangu be hit, he'd be airborne for the strike, and an attempt to jump would likely be met with the same unless he had a clever way out of it. Regardless, Alexander would fire a raw burst of Void at his opponent as well. It wasn't exceedingly powerful, but would likely sting if it did indeed connect. The void user refused to yield, and so far, they had been evenly matched in this little duel, each of them trading blow for blow. It would become curious to see who might outlast the other...or if Alexander would finish things by simply resuming his natural power.

His hair was standing up on end. It wasn't fear that caused this phenomenon, more excitement. He'd been hitting on all cylinders this entire battle and Voss was taking everything he had to offer. Perhaps it was that strange power this man had possessed, this "void". Sangu had his own questions about Alex's powers, but those he would save for after this fierce fight. He couldnt afford to let his guard down. If this was a real fight, and he did, then he was dead.
He could see Alexander's speed increase as the man shot forward, and he dug his toes into the sand. His own speed couldn't hope to match the speed of this special warrior, so what he knew he had to do was resort to an old warrior's trick. As Alex went down to his pivot leg, Sanguinis would indeed jump but would twist in midair and interrupt the straight jab with an eye full of sand. Effectively, he blinded Alex for a moment as he kicked sand into his eyes. Clever trick, using his surroundings to fight.
He ducked down onto his own pivot leg and spun his body, catching a blind punch from Alexander. He then bent forward and picked his back foot up off the ground, throwing the warrior over his shoulder onto Alex's back. If this attack was successful, he would grapevine his legs around his opponent's arm and wrench backwards...it would be "tap out" or a possibly broken arm.
