Pin paced in the office on the Pixie Blue, rearranging the space to make it look more professional. His helmet sat on his desk, and his face was scrunched up in frustration. He wasn't programmed for this sort of domestic nonsense, he was built for combat and destruction, he was built for tactics. Not...cleaning. He'd strongly considered trying to talk Ban into doing it, but he had a feeling that would not go over so well. Normally he wouldn't give a shit, but he'd invited Habana to visit him on the Pixie as a sort of coming home party. He also thought it would be a good opportunity to introduce Habana to Kay-El. He was still wrapping his head around the idea of having family at all, let alone a younger sister. He had absolutely no clue how Habana would take the news. He hoped she would at the very least be pleased with Pin for bringing a new, powerful warrior into the fold, even if she weren't a full-blooded Saiyan. " Kay," Pin called out through the corridor of the ship, " We're going to have company soon! Once our guest arrives I'll need you to come into my office." With that, he sat at his desk and sighed. Why did he give so many fucks how this went? ___________________________________________________ Kay-El Queen Habana Thread takes place in my 5k Zeni shop Thread PL 73,060, effective PL 438,360 Heavy weights ON Weighted PL 109,590

Thread PL: 73,870 -- Makyo Star: 738,700 | Heavy Weights on: 184,675 == The halls swelled with a comfortable silence. Here, in this ship, she felt strangely safe. No, maybe they weren’t actually safe, but it was the closest thing she’d felt to home in a long time. With Pin around and Ban off buying food so the two who needed to eat wouldn’t starve, Kay had the ship mostly to herself since Pin was busy doing...whatever he was doing in his office. He’d said something about preparing, but that didn’t really mean anything to the five year old. Eventually, they’d learn each other’s quirks and mannerisms, but that would take time. One day, he’d know with a look whether she lied or spoke truth, and some day she’d know what he meant by certain phrases. For now, they were still mostly strangers with some strange strings attached.
When he called her name she looked down at Pounce and scooped him up, giggling at the way he nuzzled against her neck. His front paws tapped at her shoulder and she loosened her grip, letting him climb up there and turn. Pounce settled in and, even though he’d someday be too big for this, they both enjoyed it while they could. “Cominnng,” she called in a sing-song voice, skipping down the hall like, well, like the child she was. When she reached the office she poked her head around the door frame and said, “Who’s coming?” Looking around, her nose scrunched up and she had more questions. “Why’s it so neat in here? I don’t like it. Pin, you trying to impress a girl or something? What’s the big deal? If she can’t accept you as you are then it probably won’t work out…” Taking a seat on the edge of the desk, she flew herself up to it and plopped down on the now clean corner. Legs kicking and swinging slowly, she looked up at him with her ever inquisitive gaze. Shy at first, once she came out of her shell it was non stop with her and she hoped that was okay with him.

Habana grinned as she strode through the star port, the Radditsu port was not home to many particularly impressive ships, the bulk of it's ships were actually just basic pods, the main transportation for low-class warriors as they often neither needed a grandiose ship nor had the funds to afford one, the larger ships mostly belonged to businesses or more well off mercenary's. Of them all however perhaps the most impressive simply by default was the one most familiar to Habana. The Pixie Blue, it belonged to her friend and ally Pin and up until she'd acquired the Eclipse it had effectively also been her primary mode of travel chiefly by Habana seeking out Pin and dragging him to the ship in order to go somewhere.
It had made sense then to do so, Pin was the first person she chose to start working with once she'd become Commander aside of course from Zucceta herself. Unfortunately Pin's work on Namek at Zucceta's behest had necessitated that Habana spend a bit of Zeni on a ship of her own, the Eclipse was nice, small and sleek it was excellent for taking off without letting anyone know where she was going due to the ships built-in stealth drive technology. But the stealth tech necessitated it to simply be a seated vehicle where the Pixie had enough space that actual training could be done, Pin had even installed a gravity chamber to make that training go even better.
Approaching the Pixie Habana realized just how long it had been since she had really gotten to see Pin, sure technically she had reunited with him not long ago during the fight in Korgustu Square but that had been a brawl and it had provided minimal opportunity to actually interact with Pin, or with the child that had been accompanying him. Shortly after Pin had contacted her to see if she wanted to swing by the Pixie to catch up and now here she was.
Stepping up the ramp Habana walked through the doorway taking a quick glance around Habana found the place to be in a familiar sort of disorganized chaos, it was vaguely reminiscent of the state it seemed to always end up in after she dragged Pin and Jala off somewhere, it was just a bit odd considering that Habana did not necessarily peg Pin as a particularly messy person himself.
With a shrug Habana wandered through the ship until she reached Pin's office, to her surprise she could hear voices within, raising an eyebrow she stepped into the doorway and found, as expected, Pin himself, but in addition to him there was the child who had been near him during the fight with Zucceta. It seemed that she had been right that they were connected in some way, it also helped explain why the ship was in it's current state as not only was there the girl but in her arms was a small black kitten.
To Habana's amusement Pin seemed utterly distracted as he zipped around his office, he seemed to be trying his best to get the office into a more organized state and to hiss credit it appeared very nearly done. For now Habana would remain silent and wait for one of them to notice her presence as she propped herself up against the door frame and watched them with a grin.

Pin adjusted, then readjusted the trashcan in his office. He hadn't quite figured out where to put the damn thing, and now that the Commander was swinging by every possible position for it seemed completely out of place. He resolved to install a fucking incinerator in here somewhere. That would be a far more practical solution, and could probably double to hide a body if need be.
When Kay-El entered the room, Pin reached over and scratched Pounce behind the ears. He'd warmed up to the little kitten, even if it did like to fall asleep in his helmet. He worked around Kay to the best of his ability, trying to figure out where the hell he'd put the cap for his pen. Why did he even bother with a pen??!
"Someone very important is coming over, Kay," Pin explained, "And while she is a girl, it's nothing like that. I'm...generally not into that sort of thing, save for the very rare occasion." He thought about Peppa, the woman in the pinup that hung on the door to his gravity chamber. Now there was a girl he'd install some extra parts for.
"Commander Habana is probably the best friend I have, save for Granzel who's currently off-world seeking out some ancient artifact, and I haven't seen her in a while. Besides, I'd like you to meet her."
As Pin leaned over to pick up an errant coin that had somehow made its way to the floor, his scouter quickly indicated the approach of something massive, and then promptly rebooted itself. He smiled, looking up to the doorway. There she stood, the flawless Commander of the Saiyan empire herself. He approached her, holding his hand out for a warrior's embrace.
"Habana, you salty cooze, how long have you been standing there?" Pin laughed, greeting his friend.

Pounce showed his affection with scratchy kisses to Kay’s webbed fingers, and the girl laughed with delight in the way the young should. As he started to tell her that he didn’t think of girls like that her mind immediately went to the pin-up but he beat her to the punch saying ‘except for the very rare occasion.’ The child shrugged and went back to playing with the cat who seemed to be teething. Grabbing a chew toy for Pounce to bite, she gently tugged it back and forth with him as Pin told her about their forthcoming guest. In a way, she felt honored that he wanted her to meet his friends. All three feet and forty pounds of her felt unworthy, though, of meeting people of such renown and merit. Granzel she’d heard of as well and maybe some day she’d meet that mysterious man but, honestly, Kay-El was more interested in Habana and the like. Those people were the ones legends were made of.
As if the thought could summon her, the scouter went off and promptly rebooted itself. Looking towards the door when Pin did she watched as her brother greeted the newcomer, someone she recognized now by both face and name from that day in the square. That had been an exhilarating day, to be sure. One to ‘remember,’ as Pin said, when she not only got to meet the Queen but was able to witness a Saiyan reach a new transformation beyond anything Kay-El ever saw before. But, naturally, in front of this stranger Kay returned to her usual quiet, observant self. Respectful, she remembered what her military adoptive mother used to spout about ‘children are supposed to be seen and not heard.’ And even then, if Kay could have gone invisible, Pea would have preferred that. If she wasn’t heard, rarely was she observed, as with what happened with General Mayze recently. Keep to herself and adults tended to forget she was there which worked for her as often as it didn’t. If Pin hadn’t called her into this meeting she’d have thought to leave them to their reunion, but he must want her there for a reason, right? With a shrug that meant everything and nothing all at once, she looked Pounce in the eyes who looked over at Habana curiously. They shared more than just an inquisitive personality trait, the girl and her cat.

It was amusing watching Pin scramble around while also holding a conversation with the girl, Kay. Habana raised an amused eyebrow as neither noticed her while Pin spoke and he appeared to be doing his best to confirm to the girl that his visitor, herself, was while a girl it was 'nothing like that. In the same breath he confirmed a vague curiosity of Habana's. That Pin actually did have an interest in both women and well, non-machines. For as much as he moved spoke and acted like a living being it was often hard to remember that Pin was not a 'real' saiyan at least biologically speaking.
He was a machine made to function like one, evidently including an interest in biological women Habana suppressed a chuckle at the thought not wanting to be the one who gave herself away. Her ear twitched as she heard the telltale sound of a scouter reboot, her eyes drifted over to Kay and Habana could have groaned, she'd forgot about the scouters, she detested reigning in her power, more often than not she never even dropped out of the super saiyan state let alone pulling back below her base power. She'd dropped the transformation for her trip into Radditsu because frankly she didn't need half of the district believing she was here to vaporize them.
Part of her still did not quite see her base power as 'strong' and so she'd not thought the scouters would register her presence enough to do anything about it but the telltale beeping from Kay's scouter indicated otherwise as it reset. Oh well.
“Long enough to know I'm 'very important'" Habana responded to Pin's question with a wide grin, that was more than enough to let Pin know that yes, she had essentially been here the whole time. “Wanted to see how long it would take you, damn scouters ruined that plan” Habana said with an amused shrug pushing off the door frame and stepping into the room to shake hands with Pin. “It's good to see you again Pin, other than Korgutsu Square it's been a while.” A few months or about as much, between Pin and Mayze's mission to namek and her own departure to Kanassa there had not been much time to catch up.
“And it looks like you've already found a replacement for me, a younger model at that” Habana said with another grin turning to the younger hybrid, she'd crouch down to roughly her level “I'm Habana, and who might you be?” Habana questioned, the girl had gone surprisingly quiet since she and Pin had noticed Habana's presence.

Pin laughed as he shook Habana's hand. What a complete asshole, standing there in silence, eavesdropping. If it had been anyone else, he'd be kicking himself, but considering Habana was one of the few people he could let his guard down around, it didn't really bother him at all. The Commander would probably continue to bust his mechanical balls about the conversation he'd had with Kay until the end of time, but that was pretty much par for the course.
"It's definitely been far too long. I feel like the last time we really spoke was when that Earth android visited. I never did make it to that training session..." Pin mused. He'd been called away on his mission to Namek shortly after the encounter with Cipher, if memory served properly. "I was hoping to make some more progress with my own training before we crossed each other's paths again, but well fuck it."
When Habana referenced Kay-El, Pin smiled and looked at the little girl. A younger model indeed, though he wasn't sure about the replacement bit. The two of them held very unique positions in his life, and he doubted either of them could replace the other, or be replaced.
"She followed me home. Can I keep her?"
Pin winked at Kay, and gestured for her to introduce herself. He'd decided that it would be best for him to let her do her own talking. Give her enough space to get socially assertive.

Watching the two of them interact made her miss the few friends she did have. Core, Alex, Samba...the whole crew felt so very, very far away. At least Nana stayed close, but lately the two didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but disagreements were healthy and natural and normal, especially between people that cared about each other. They’d get over it eventually. Nana would come around, she always did, and their relationship born anew, reforged and tempered all the stronger for it. Remaining silent, an observer, was something she worked on a long time ago under Uncle Sam’s tutelage. That man, demon or not, rescued her from not only her crazy adoptive mother but also from herself during a dark time in her life. All of four years old, she’d found out on her birthday her father and whole world was never coming home again. After that the child sort of shut down. The few friends she did have eventually stopped coming around in the six months in which she shut out the world and it wasn’t until Sam showed up that she started to come out of her shell. The promise of information from him proved more than enough a carrot dangling from a stick to make the girl give chase. Her lips quirked in a small smile as they spoke of her and barely refrained from squirming under the attention from both of them. She looked up and straight at Habana, her dark eyes all color and no pupil or whites to them as they met Habana’s. “ I’m Kay-El,” she said, and offered her hand. “ It’s nice to meet any friend of my brother’s. And this is Pounce,” she hefted the small, black ball of fur with her free hand to indicate she meant the cat. Queen Habana

Habana let out a sigh as Pin mentioned the 'training session' that he had managed to escape thanks in part to Zucceta ordering him to Namek “You and Mayze both managed to avoid it which was lucky for the both of you. I'd planned to throw Jala at you and let her cut loose” Habana said with a smirk, her mother had as of yet not actually had an occasion to put her full power to the test her scouter indicated now however that such a 'threat' was not actually substantial against her mechanical friend as Pin's power was far beyond Jala's a fact that would very likely cause the older saiyan a bit of frustration but ideally would give her a bit of additional drive to grow stronger, she was unlikely to let a bunch of young warriors outclass her for long if she could avoid it.
“You don't give yourself enough credit Pin, I might not be able to feel your power but a scouter doesn't lie you've gotten MUCH stronger since we last saw each other and are worlds beyond when we first met” Habana would then turn her attention back onto the young saiyan before her, Kay-El, a slightly odd name sure, perhaps either she was not raised on Vegeta or her parents merely had different taste in names than the norm.
The girl continued speaking and revealed a VERY strange point of information about Kay and Pin's relationship. She'd called him her brother. Habana briefly favored Pin with a questioning look at the revaluation, she had been under the assumption that Pin was in fact an entirely mechanical entity meaning that his ability to actually have siblings would necessitate that they too were mechanical, other androids created by his own creator. Not quite proper 'siblings' by blood but essentially the same.
The problem of course was that Kay was not an android, if she possessed any cybernetic enhancements they were not enough to even cause a change in her energy flow as she was as easy as anyone else to read. “A pleasure to meet you both” Habana said with a smile as she returned her attention to Kay giving Pounce a scratch behind one of it's ears. Part of Habana wanted to actually ask about the Elephant that had promptly placed itself in the room but with Kay present it made addressing it a touch more difficult.

Pin shook his head when Habana seemed to try to make him feel better. He hadn't been feeling inadequate, just frustrated that he hadn't achieved a power like her own. He'd have liked to have seen the look on her face. Still, he knew she would be impressed with his progress.
"Don't get me wrong, Habana," he said, "I'm pleased with my progress. But I've still got a long way to go to catch up with you and the General."
When Kay introduced Pounce, Pin idly reached over to scratch the little cat behind its ear. He'd grown fond of the fuzzy little thing, and it made him want a pet of his own. He'd need something that could keep up with him though - a little kitten like Pounce had no place on a real battle field.
"Oh yeah," Pin said, "Kay is my sister. In a sense. Her mother is my mother - my father's...my creator's ex-wife. It's not quite a blood relation, but it's the closest thing either of us have got at the moment. Besides, you'll never guess who told her to find me."
Pin folded his arms, waiting for Habana to guess. Even if she did guess it, she'd probably be shocked to discover that this little girl was also familiar with Habana's uncle Sam.

Watching as Habana and Pin exchanged yet more looks in the way old friends did, Kay fidgeted a little on her perched seat atop the desk. Pounce nipped at her fingers, the little cat was teething, and Kay reached in her pocket to produce one of the toys she’d gotten for his teeth to find rather than her more tender flesh. He meowed softly and batted the thing away which jingled a bit, and then he performed his namesake and pounced. Landing on the floor he gave chase the the toy that had bells attached, completely enthralled by this new development. It was clear from his posture and attitude Pin wanted Habana to guess at who sent Kay after Pin or, rather, told Kay he existed and suggested she find him. Either way, she wasn’t going to split hairs with those details and instead of blowing up his spot and ruining his game, Kay watched Habana as well. Pin had mentioned Habana knew Sam and also called him ‘uncle,’ oddly enough, and that’s what the five year old always called him. Although she knew him for about a full year now, most of that time was spent training. Again, that training of not speaking unless spoken to kicked in and since Habana only responded to her before engaging in further conversation with Pin, Kay kept her silence and divided her attention between the toy chasing kitten and the conversation between Pin and the Commander. -- Queen Habana (Sorry, this fell off of my ‘participated’ thing apparently :/ )

Habana raised an eyebrow at Pin’s comment about his power, it was actually interestingly quite similar to Habana’s own opinion’s of her power in relation to people like Zucceta, she had come quite far, she was way beyond the average, above even the majority of those who possessed power on par with super saiyans. But she was still so far away from the upper echelon of power, she’d keep herself quiet on that bit at least until she had a chance to speak with Pin privately.
Learning about Kay’s relation to Pin was interesting, she was the ‘true’ child of his mother, which made the fact that Pin was traveling with the girl quite interesting as Habana was QUITE aware of Pin’s opinion of his mother, though perhaps considering the woman’s nature she hadn’t treated Kay right in the same way she had mistreated Pin, that at least would explain why Pin would be rolling around with the woman’s kid.
He left his explanation off with a question, apparently Pin had been pointed in the direction of Kay by someone in particular, obviously someone that both Pin and she knew or at least someone substantial that Pin had mentioned, at best that was likely to be Granzel but if it was him she doubted he’d be making a show of it.
The two of them had a handful of people in common though that would make for interesting people to have sent Pin off in Kay’s direction. Zucceta, Mayze, and Sam however were at the top of the list, were it not for the fact they had such frequent contact her mother Jala would have been there as well. Mayze was perhaps the most surprising if it was accurate, Sam however seemed strangely the most likely, he had a strange ability to gather information from everywhere and anywhere.
“I’ve got three people who seem the most likely, I’ll guess Sam though I’m rather genuinely hoping the actual answer is Mayze just so I can know the ridiculous scenario in which he discovers your long lost sister” Habana states with an amused grin, Sam and Zucceta were almost ‘too easy’ Zucceta was the literal queen of the Empire, if Pin’s mother was acting within the Empire somewhere there was a chance Zucceta knew what she was up to and could have discovered Kay and pointed Pin there for his work with the Empire.
Sam with his disturbing level of knowledge and uncanny ability to know esoteric facts was also an easy sell, he employed Pin quite often and considering what Habana knew of Pin’s skills he was almost certainly pleased with Pin’s work, it could also have been a sort-of apology for sending him to his doom to ‘collect’ her back when they had first met.
