Name:
Pin
Species:
Android (Saiyan-built)
Gender:
Identifies as Male
Age:
12, appearance in mid-20’s
Appearance:
Pin was designed to look like a genetic mix between his two Saiyan parents. He has olive skin and large chocolate brown eyes. His black hair is short, swept back, and spiky with long sideburns. (pic below)
History:
Pin was crafted by a Saiyan scientist named Sorrel after he and his wife Mizuna discovered that she was unable to bear children. Sorrel, rather than watch his wife struggle with the idea that she could never be a mother, decided to give her the next best thing. He dropped all research and projects that he’d been working on to spend three years designing, perfecting, and building their perfect Saiyan son. While he was not a proper replacement for a trueborn son, Mizuna took the young Android under her wing and trained him to fight as if he were her actual flesh and blood.
Over the next six years, Pin learned from his parents about science, about combat, and about the all-encompassing Saiyan pride of his people. Many of these lessons left him conflicted - he knew what he was, that he was just a masterful simulacrum of a Saiyan, but did that matter when nobody outside of his family could tell the difference? He wasn’t sure. What he did know for certain was that sometimes he would catch his mother looking at him as if he were some kind of difficult puzzle, a riddle she couldn’t figure out. He knew she must be struggling with her pride as well, unable to create true Saiyan life. He tried not to think about how much shame his parents must have felt, and how he was a walking reminder of that shame.
Instead, he studied hard and trained harder in order to make his “parents” proud. He needed neither sleep nor food, so he had plenty of time to practice on his own. Days before his seventh birthday, he landed his first blow on his mother during training, and crafted his first piece of advanced technology (a small surveillance drone). He felt his hard work was starting to pay off.
On his seventh birthday, he woke to find his father dead, a hole blasted through his midsection. His mother was gone, as were her belongings. Devastated, he sat on the floor with his father’s body. He’d been sitting for hours before he noticed that his surveillance drone was in the room, active, and facing his father’s body. He took the drone in his hands and watched the recording.
His parents had argued. This had happened before, of course - Saiyans argue, Saiyans fight. But this argument was about Mizuna’s fertility. Sorrel had run fertility tests on himself and Mizuna years prior, before Pin had even been designed. It was Sorrel that told his wife that she was barren. The problem was that Sorrel had lied. Mizuna would have no problem conceiving. Sorrel, on the other hand, was completely infertile. Their inability to have children was because of him.
He’d lied to his wife because he worried she’d leave him, to find a more suitable mate. Instead, he framed himself as the martyr, dedicating himself to a woman who could bear him no heirs.
Pin could understand her fury. Sorrel had deceived her. He was a coward. Pin’s father was a coward. The shame was palpable. But worse than that was the word she kept using when she talked about Pin. “Doll,” she called him, “your silly doll.”
Pin crushed the drone in his hands before the recording could finish. He packed what few things he had and left. He told no one what had happened, and at first did nothing to find his mother. He laid low, earning money where he could performing menial infrastructure jobs - maintenance, waste management, low-profile security. For a year, he went consistently unnoticed, until he came home to his apartment to find a man waiting.
The man was an alien of some sort, with mottled orange skin under a strange suit of clothes, his face hidden by a mostly featureless bucket helmet. He leveled a blaster pistol on Pin and explained that this was nothing personal, that he’d been hired by an outlaw warlord’s wife to kill him. She’d told him to pass along a message.
“I was never fond of dolls.”
Mizuna had trained her son intensely. She’d honed him into a literal well-oiled machine in battle. It was no trouble for Pin to take this mercenary apart. After the fight, Pin found a few handy items on the alien’s body - some cash, the keys to a disposable spacepod, a weapon, and of course some clothes.
Sorrel had taught his son intently. He’d crafted his mind into a literal steel trap. It was no trouble for Pin to repurpose and retrofit his would-be assassin’s helmet and outfit to suit him. In a matter of days, Pin had all but reinvented himself as something more than a menial shift-worker.
Ever since that day, Pin has been working hard at his new job. He finds people for interested parties. Sometimes he brings a message. Sometimes he brings death. Either way, he’s getting paid. And every job gets him a little bit closer to his ultimate goal - his own Great Hunt. Her name is Mizuna, and she was never fond of dolls.

Techniques:
OFFENSIVE
Arsenal Tree:
[N1] Blaster Pistol: The same gun that had been meant to kill him, Pin’s blaster pistol has been modified to draw from his own energy reserves, allowing him to fire it constantly without reloading. It’s power output is about on par with a basic ki blast.
[UP2] Shoulder Cannon: Pin has installed a cannon into his right shoulder. Operating on the same principles of his Blaster Pistol but with greater firepower, the cannon is housed inside Pin's body during downtime. During battle, however, the Shoulder Cannon slides out of its housing to rest on a swivel mount on Pin's shoulder.
[MP3] Thermal Detonator: Pin has upgraded his Shoulder Cannon to include a devastating explosive mode. The cannon fires a small and relatively unassuming ball of energy at incredible speed. That ball explodes with massive force upon impact.
Flamethrower Tree:
[N1] Burning Vengeance: Pin doesn’t rely solely on his equipment to get the job done. Pin can channel his boundless internal energy into the palm of his hand and release it as a gout of white-hot fire.
Robotics Tree:
[N1] Vent Heat: After a long fight and during the use of Overdrive, an Android builds up a great deal of heat. During battle, the user of Vent Heat can momentarily block its cooling systems and heat sinks, allowing the heat to build up before being forcibly vented out of the body. The heat is ignited by the use of Ki on its way out, filling the area immediately around the user with a burst of flames. Holding the heat in longer, while dangerous, produces hotter and thus more damaging flames.
[UP2]: Dead Heat: Pin shuts down not only his internal cooling systems, but disables the vents that he would normally use for Vent Heat. Using Dead Heat causes Pin to radiate so much heat that just being near him hurts. For the next 3 posts, anyone in melee range of Pin takes 22% of Pin's PL in damage.
[MP3]: Burning Eruption: By shutting down all of his failsafe protocols, Pin's body becomes so hot that it may as well be spewing gouts of liquid hot magma. Capable of widespread destruction, this technique deals a great deal of damage to not only opponents, but allies and any buildings in a wide radius.
Rocket Punch Tree:
Rocket Punch [N1]: Pin fires his clenched fist at his opponent for a long-range punch! (purchased from Android Shop)
Rocket Haymaker [UP2]: By allocating greater energy resources to the fistlauncher, Pin's Rocket Punch deals far greater damage with a mighty Rocket Haymaker! (purchased from Android Shop)
Heaven Piercer Tree
[N1] Drill Press: By rotating the bladed claws at the ends of his Aranea Module arms, Pin can effectively turn them into a vicious drill.
Shield Tree
[N1] Geodesic Energy Field: Pin can extend his energy outward, shaping it into a protective barrier. It charges at 33% per turn, and if the Barrier is broken by a technique, any bleed-through damage is halved (IE: If a Ki Barrier had 2,000 PL, and was broken by a 3,000 PL attack, the bleed-through damage would be 500 PL instead of 1,000).
[UP2] Geodesic Energy Field: Pin can extend his energy outward, shaping it into a protective barrier. It charges at 66% per turn, and if the Barrier is broken by a technique, any bleed-through damage is halved (IE: If a Ki Barrier had 2,000 PL, and was broken by a 3,000 PL attack, the bleed-through damage would be 500 PL instead of 1,000).
[MP3] Geodesic Energy Field: Pin can extend his energy outward, shaping it into a protective barrier. It charges at 100% per turn, and if the Barrier is broken by a technique, any bleed-through damage is halved (IE: If a Ki Barrier had 2,000 PL, and was broken by a 3,000 PL attack, the bleed-through damage would be 500 PL instead of 1,000).
SUPPORT
[SU1] Net Launch: Used primarily on fleeing marks, Pin can generate and fire a net made of pure energy from his shoulder cannon. The net does no damage, but rather completely immobilizes opponents of up to 100% of Pin's PL. No effect on stronger opponents.
[SU1] Zero Shift: Through a sudden burst of speed Pin leaves behind a static image of himself to distract his opponent, this technique allows him to completely dodge techniques beneath 100% of his PL. This technique uses 1 KP in KP Battles and cannot be charged.
[SU2] Zero Shift: Through a sudden burst of speed Pin leaves behind a static image of himself to distract his opponent, this technique allows him to completely dodge techniques beneath 200% of his PL. This technique uses 2 KP in KP Battles and cannot be charged.
[SU3] Zero Shift: Through a sudden burst of speed Pin leaves behind a static image of himself to distract his opponent, this technique allows him to completely dodge techniques beneath 300% of his PL. This technique uses 3 KP in KP Battles and cannot be charged.
[SU1] Flash Bang: Pin can use his energy to create and detonate a small flash grenade to temporarily blind/deafen the opposition, plus any upset onlookers. Stuns for 1 round at 100% PL. Can disrupt a charging attack if the stun power level is within 80% of the opponent's power level.
[SU2] Flash Bang: Pin can use his energy to create and detonate a small flash grenade to temporarily blind/deafen the opposition, plus any upset onlookers. Stuns for 1 round at 200% PL. Can disrupt a charging attack if the stun power level is within 80% of the opponent's attack's power level.
[SU3] Flash Bang: Pin can use his energy to create and detonate a small flash grenade to temporarily blind/deafen the opposition, plus any upset onlookers. Stuns for 1 round at 300% PL. Can disrupt a charging attack if the stun power level is within 80% of the opponent's attack's power level.
UTILITY
[UT] Multi-Visor: Pin has repurposed and improved upon the helmet worn by the hunter his mother sent for him. The visor now allows Pin to see varying spectra of light, allowing him to track down his prey more adeptly by tracking their energy and heat signatures. However, the visor’s range is currently limited to 1320 feet, or one-quarter mile.
[UT1] Coleoptera Module: After intensive study of footage from the Saiyan invasion of Earth, Pin was inspired by one of the Earth defenders to install an extra pair of arms. Though only technically arms in functionality, these thick metal tentacles sprout from his back when needed, and are tipped with four sharp 'fingers', providing Pin with extra fists to punch his opponent and extra hands for grappling AND punching. This technique uses 0 KP in a KP Battle. (Functionally the same as Four Witches Technique, but with robotic tentacle-arms).
[UT2] Aranea Module: After further study of footage from the Saiyan invasion of Earth, Pin was inspired by one of the Earth defenders to install another extra pair of arms. Though only technically arms in functionality, these thick metal tentacles sprout from his back when needed, and are tipped with four sharp 'fingers', providing Pin with extra fists to punch his opponent and extra hands for grappling AND punching. This technique uses 0 KP in a KP Battle. (Functionally the same as Six Witches Technique, but with robotic tentacle-arms).
[UT3] Telescopic Module: Pin's additional arms are capable of "stretching", extending far past the normal reach of most limbs, allowing him to develop unconventional and long-range melee fighting techniques. (An extension of his "Four Witches" and "Six Witches" techniques, allowing him to use his additional arms like Namekian limbs)
[UT1]
Roboozaru: Pin has constructed a giant mobile battle suit in the general shape of a Saiyan Oozaru transformation. While it spends most of the time in orbit, Pin can call upon it in battle, piloting it as an alternative to the limiter removal of his Overdrive. Effectively, it's just an alternative flavor for his Overdrive, and nothing more. Pin will still need to pay for Recalibrations after using the Roboozaru, and only gains the PL boost of a standard Overdrive transformation.
SPECIAL
Final Flash [SP] : The ultimate technique of the Saiyan Commander, the Final Flash gains greater power the longer it is charged, It begins with 100% of the users power, on its first charge it moves up to 233%, and on its final charge up to 399%.
