This current saga became disorganised because work has been hammering me(All this new testing >.<) and I wasn't able to keep track of it when all the newcomers joined up.
The Centurial Zenith was meant only as an 'ape introduction' thread. Intention was apes appear, stomp around, the alpha beats his chest and buffaloes the other two, and then we split into 3 threads (One vs Pieter, One vs Quash and One vs Hanzo.)
The reason for this is that big threads get bulked down, they go slow when posting order is in place and become harder to follow when not - and people are doing separate battles anyway so having it all in the one thread isn't needed.

For your particular post here: I'm afraid I'm a little confused as to what you mean by 'not split up so much'.
However, I will bring up one point of my own in regards to your 'orientation - body - conclusion':
A saga is a player driven event, what differentiates a normal thread from a saga thread is really only the repercussions of it's outcome and how many people it effects. The tournament was actually an 'artificial saga' as it was made just to get the ball rolling.
Basically, they aren't often neat little packages, and many times ride on each others tail-coats. The action stops when the involved parties finally run out of steam (be it because they are dead, because they are defeated/victorious, or because no new interruptions extend things further).
Technically we had 3 semi-sagas as part of the overarching 'Tournament Saga' so far.
Tenkaichi Saga - > People shows up for the centurial tournament intro, meeting, greeting and making their way to the Tenkaichi Budokai
> The matches began and the fighters did their organised battles up to about the quarter/semi-finals. Numerous drop-outs and
mismanagement
Demon Saga - > Pieter and Reiko decide to take an area for an exebition match of their own, Oguma and Tsumuri use this opportunity to make
their move
> We split off into the battle threads, in what had essentially become a battle royal.
Oozaru Saga - > As the Demons meet heavy resistance and the tides turn in the heroes favour, a full moon rises and the Oozaru begin to
rampage across the grounds
> (As mentioned, plan was to split off, but ended up not quite happening that way
)

'Saga Arcs' are really something that is defined post-completion, as it's only once we get to the end can we look back and see where the shifts in momentum occurred.
