Radasha's aura dissipated as the beam raced towards her. Bring her arms up in front of her, she took the beam, the ki engulfing her form and exploding, kicking up dust and debris everywhere. Eventually the cloud of sand around the older woman would disperse, revealing that, of course, she was no worse for wear. the only thing that seemed to be damaged was her clothing. Maybe some of her hair was singed a bit. Shaking her hands a bit, she smiled.
Then suddenly the elite was darting towards Rukkora. In contrast to how slow she had been moving before Rukkora fired the beam, she was now nearly a blur. Fast enough no normal, non-ki trained being would be able to hope to keep up with her, but slow enough someone with enough training would be able to brace for. She stopped a step in front of Rukkora, arm pulled back. A full moment, more than enough time for Rukkora's brain to process the fact that she was now close and about to attack, before she thrusted her palm forward in a quick jab aimed at her gut. It wouldn't do much if it hit except maybe knock the wind out of her.

The larger Saiyan kept herself on guard, waiting for Radasha's move. As she moved almost faster than she'd come before, Rukkora prepared herself to dodge. That the older Saiyan stopped for a moment almost caught Rukkora off-guard, but she understood well enough to get herself out of the way. Her body kicked off, circling to the side as Radasha's hand came forth aimed for her gut and bypassing the attack.
But she wasn't here just to dodge. With a growl, she aimed to strike back with her good hand against Radasha's face, quickly aiming to hit with her elbow aimed for the Saiyan elite's head. The strike came to her instantly, less a response than a reflex. Something she learned to do when she was younger: answer an attack with an attack. Though she already knew that she couldn't truly damage this woman in this state, she would not stop trying.

Radasha leaned back as her own attack missed, Rukkora having moved around it to attempt elbowing her face. Blinking as said elbow met air inches from her head instead of flesh and bone, she hopped back a bit, chuckling. She may have slowed down her attacks a bit to the point where Rukkora could keep up with them, that didn't mean she'd slow down enough for the woman to land a hit herself. Another hop, this time towards Rukkora, one leg raising as she got into melee range again. Letting herself hover a bit, she attempted to bring her heel down on Rukkora's head.
The attack would not be enough to cause serious harm, but it would probably dizzy or stun her. Also, yet again, she allowed a short window for Rukkora to dodge, block, etc. This time however said window seemed...a bit smaller. She was trying the gauge exactly how fast she could attack before Rukkora would be unable to react. If they trained again, it'd be good to know.

This one came a bit faster, but Rukkora dodged again. She knew her body was too large to bypass the whole blow, so she took the heel to her already-limp, broken arm and followed through with her movement, spinning around and attempting to quickly drive her foot into Radasha's side. She noticed how slow the attacks were coming but, at this point, she no longer minded being treated with care. In fact, this made it easier to gauge her own skills. At the same time, she could sense that the next blow would probably come quicker and she braced herself for it.
At the same time, Rukkora was so accustomed to being treated brutally by her father - and the number of times she was near-fatally injured by him probably contributed to her rapid growth between her childhood and when she killed him. Being without a real challenge after that, it wasn't so surprising to the Saiyan that she'd hit an annoying plateau.

Radasha noticed the woman hadn't quite dodged that last attack. Raising her hands, Rukkora's foot met her palms. Radasha then pushed, hoping to knock her off balancing and step after her as she either fell or stumbled to send a palm strike to her torso. She kept a consistent speed now. This was how she was taught and trained. Her own father only increased the speed and strength of his attacks as she got stronger and faster. If they jump the hurdle, then make it higher. Rukkora wasn't able to completely dodge her last attack so she'd stick at the current speed until she could reliably avoid it.
The good thing about the method is that there was a sense of progress. If one put too much load on the trainee they wouldn't feel as if they're making headway even if they're getting stronger. This was how she trained Kaula anyway. Though she wasn't sure if this would be a regular thing with this woman. They'd have to see after the current spar.

Rukkora's shoulder dislocated as the heel dropped onto it. She had underestimated the force of the blow, perhaps overestimated how numb that arm was. The blow caused her to wince and stop following through on the kick to Radasha's side. Her large frame didn't collapse or fall, however, she was a bit tougher than that. Her knees bent and she stood her ground for the moment before watching the other woman with a pained stare. For the moment, however, Rukkora realized she couldn't move, the pain in her arm stunning her on her feet for the moment. That was no good, she thought, a sense of urgency kicking into her brain as she commanded her heavily weighted body to move.
Is it the weights? she wondered. Throughout the fight, she was determined to leave them on. She pondered for a moment whether she'd have to choose her pride in keeping them on throughout the fight, or being able to reliably avoid these attacks. After a split-second, a third option came to mind. This thought sounded more like her own, late mother. Suck it up, do better, and keep going. Her feet shifted a bit as she resolved to keep fighting, determined to really begin pushing herself.

Radasha lowered her stand even though Rukkora seemed ready to continue. She could see the pain in her eyes. Her injured arm was useless, dead weight at the moment. The larger woman didn't seem to realize you weren't suppose to expose your weak point intentionally. "I believe you could've blocked that blow with your good arm" she simply stated. She was debating whether or not to call the spar and get the woman some medical treatment. More blows to that arm and it could get really messed up. "I'm thinking we should call it a match, and head back to the capital to get that arm fixed. Maybe have another go in a few days or so.....If you would like." she suggested.
It wasn't pity or anything. It was just the fact the woman was now injured and her performance would most likely continue dropping due to said injury, whether from the arm bumping into something or taking more hits. The pain might make her slip up. She probably should've suggested this right when the arm was broken.

Humiliation burned in Rukkora's stomach and throat as Radasha said those words. All semblance of a smile dropped from her face immediately, brows furrowed and expression returning to its more typical scowl. It may not have been pity, but Rukkora didn't see it that way. To her, it felt like Radasha had measured her and, having measured herself throughout the fight, the burning in the pit of her stomach moved into her chest. Her pride was hurting worse than the arm ever could. Fighting weaker opponents made her soft, dulled her senses and instincts. Her tactics might have worked on the people she usually fought, but the people who she usually fought were... garbage! The glaringly obvious flaws in her fighting style mortified her beyond words. Teeth gritted, working hand clenched into a tight fist, she silently cursed herself for her... incompetence.
Grabbing her arm, Rukkora popped it back into place and snorted like an angry bull. Pain shot through it and she flinched a bit at it, biting on her bottom lip to muffle a grunt. She was half tempted to launch at Radasha and make the older Saiyan knock her out and leave her alone. Were she a bit younger than she was presently, she probably would have done that, but a quick glance to her spacepod and belongings immediately banished the thought. Doing so would either leave her stranded out here with a broken arm, or force Radasha to pick up her stuff and carry her ass all the way back to Cacumber Capital.
The larger woman swallowed in her throat and went a long while without saying anything. Hiding emotions wasn't something Saiyans were known for - or, if it was, then Rukkora sucked at it. Her immense disappointment in her own performance was as clear as the tattoo on her face. At last, she breathed out a deep, frustrated sigh and muttered, "Yeah, that's fine." Since she blamed herself for this situation, she didn't actually lash out at Radasha, even though the urge to do so was definitely present in her tone.

Radasha could hear the frustration in the woman's voice and sighed. "Don't take it too hard. You're stronger than most of the Saiyans on the planet and you'll get stronger. I'm willing to help. I just think we should stop for now before that arm gets any more messed up. Sure a regen-tank could heal you but it could also mend the bones wrong...less damage means less of a chance of that happening...wouldn't want to have to rebreak it right?" she asked, chuckling a bit. "I know about injuries, trust me. I still have places that ache a bit."
Yep, the older Saiyan tended to have some aches when the weather was just right. Mostof her old injuries were from times Vegeta's medical care wasn't an option. Didn't impede her performance much but they were an annoyance. Looking at the woman, she smiled. "Besides, I'm hungry. Want to grab a bite after we get your arm fixed? My name's Radasha by the way. I don't believe we gave names yet....I tend to forget to do that. Usually when I meet someone, it ends up in a spar and then we fly off....without giving out names. I'm trying to get better at introducing myself." she said with a chuckle.

Rukkora seemed to cheer up a bit at Radasha's words. Her arm probably wasn't going to get any less broken if she continued the spar and, from the sound of it, her new friend would be willing to spar with her again soon enough. No need to rush, she supposed. She gave a small chuckle at Radasha's claim to still have aches from old wounds and nodded to her. "Yeah, you're probably right."
A small smile appeared on Rukkora's face as the older Saiyan offered to get something to eat with her, "Sounds great to me. I've been killing my own meals for the past months." She recalled being left out in these wastelands to fend for herself as a child before her training with Makotsu even began. If nothing else, it made her damn good at cooking her own meals - not that she really cared to cook them past rare. "And it's Rukkora," she added, starting to grin as she realized she had also skipped the introductions. Placing her hand on her hip, she let out another, laugh. "I think we could both stand to get better at that," she replied.
Heading to her spacepod, Rukkora opened the door and found a shirt she'd been using during her time out here. It stank, she'd been bathing fairly regularly, but her solo training still made her work up a sweat, plus she didn't really do her own laundry. Tying it into a makeshift sling, she suspended her broken arm and turned back to Radasha. "Alright, I think I've been on vacation long enough. Let's get going!"
