The Raiti-Zacro Asteroid. You would never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Well, at least, according to the information he could dig up regarding the planet. The criminal underbelly of the Arcosian Empire, and one of the factions vying for control. Apparently, the natives of this planet were shapeshifters, able to take on any appearance they chose. It would make it easier for them to commit crimes, able to confuse authorities. He also had a feeling the Arcosians also used them as effective spies. As he lowered towards the planet, he found himself surrounded by a light mist, giving everything a hazy appearance. He could see some cracks in the planet's surface, the mist rising out from it. A quick check of the ship's sensors revealed that it was harmless. He would just have to be careful when he was walking around here.
The ship touched down, finding nobody there to greet him. He could see other ships nearby, giving the indication that this place had a fair amount of traffic here. They probably didn't even notice Cipher coming in. Whether this was an advantage for the android or not, he wasn't sure just yet. Still, since he had the element of anonymity here, he may as well exercise it. He quickly rummaged through the ship, finding a cloak (He wasn't sure why this was on board, but he wasn't going to complain, before slipping it on over himself, hiding most of his form. The less attention he drew here, the better. With that done, he headed for the exit ramp, heading into the criminal capital of the asteroid.
The problem with a planet like the Raiti-Zacro Asteroid, was that there wasn't any real place of government here. And yet, they were fighting in a civil war for control of the empire. The god thing though was that in a world like this, information got around fast, and for the right price, anyone could get a hold of it. Apparently the different criminal organizations here on the planet had come together to form a unified front against the others. Cipher had to admit, it was rather impressive for someone to be able to pull that off. One well known fact was that criminals rarely worked well together, at least for long, so for somebody to unite all of them together was one heck of a feat. He was also able to find out just who was in charge. An Arcosian crime lord by the name of Gomang. And, as per apparent tradition when it came to crime lords, the man himself could be found in one of the seediest clubs in the city.
Cipher stood before the establishment, the red neon sign reading in some alien language Cipher didn't recognize, but the posters out front gave just the idea of what sort of place this was. With a small sigh, Cipher walked in. The place was dark, there was that same mist along the floor (though whether it was due to the planet, some sort of fog machine, or just the patrons smoking, he had no idea) and numerous dancing girls of many races putting on a show. Though whether they were actually girls or just shapeshifters he wasn't sure, nor did Cipher really care. He was here for more important things. He approached the bar, beckoning for the bartender to approach. In hushed tones, Cipher spoke about wishing to meet with Gomang, offering some zeni to sweeten the deal. Accepting the zeni, the bartender disappeared into the back of the building. A few minutes, he returned, whispering for Cipher to follow him.
Cipher rose to his seat, following the bartender as he led him into a room in the back. There were a number of aliens there, dressed in armour and from what Cipher could guess, we Gomang's enforcers. The android paid no mind to them as he turned his gaze to the one sitting on an ornately designed chair in the middle of them. This arcosian was simply too hard to miss, mainly because unlike any other example of his race that Cipher had seen, this one was fat. And not just pudgy either...
"You must be Gomang," Cipher spoke up, stepping into the light in front of the Arcosian crime lord, who merely chuckled. "Good to see my reputation proceeds me," his voice was low and guttural, fitting for someone of his bulk, "Unfortunately I can't say the same for you. Tell me, who are you, and why are you here?" Cipher slipped off the cloak, letting it fall to the floor and revealing his full form to everyone. "I am Cipher 24 of the Blue Banner Army of Earth," he introduced himself, "I've come to this space in regards to the war." Gamong let out a laugh/ "Ah yes, my informants had told me about you. The robot who's trying to stop the war huh? Let me guess, you're here to try and convince me to end this peacefully, am I right?" Cipher nodded. At least this guy knew what he was doing. Gamong laughed again. "Well, I'm afraid it's not so simple, you know? You see these guys here?" he gestured to the various aliens around him, "It took a lot of convincing to get them to throw their lot in with me. I mean, can you imagine how much power you can get being friends with the emperor? Now, if I wasn't to deliver, do you know how fast these guys will turn on me? This planet will be filled with turf wars for years to come. Dirty business. So, if you want this to end for the best for everyone," the Arcosian smirked, "You'd better throw your lot in with me, Mr. 24." Cipher's eyes narrowed. "As I've said to the others, I am not here to act as anyone's soldier." And even if he did pick a side, he wouldn't be siding with this miserable toad.
Gamong's smirk took on a sickening quality. "I'm afraid there's going to be a little change of plans then. Because you see, I wasn't asking. Boys, why don't we show our friend here what happens to those who don't stick with the program, shall we?" The other aliens in the room sneered and chuckled as they began to slowly advance on him. Cipher just gave an irritated sigh.
Really? We're really doing this?
