A lazy day (open/ichiba)

Marautis himself, dashed into the alleyway where the one known as Sashimi had been only moments before. A puff of his own breath would send Marautis into a seated position against the compact walls of the alleyway as he clutched the stolen goods in his hands. Tucking them away quickly into the garb wrapping his torso he felt as if only now could fully relax. He reclined his head against the wall he sat alongside and let out a long drawn breath. Stretching his legs our in front of him and giving them a good stretch; his heart rate beginning to slow and return to normal.

The images of his recent heist played back in his head; the small market merchant's face as Marautis snatched the small bag of zenni out of his grasps. The blur of the pavement beneath him as he then had sprung off. It was almost as if he could still hear the alarmed cries of the man, attempting to alert the authorities. Marautis had been seen, though he knew his speed and agility would allow to him to escape rather easily. It was a rather crafty maneuver if Marautis did think so himself. He had found the unsuspecting victim in a small outskirt marketplace. He was selling fresh cutlets of whiting. Marautis had legitimately been tempted to genuinely buy one, but he would need the zenni first and foremost. When pretending to retrieve his own non-existent cash from his robes in order to pay, prompting the vendor to reveal his own pouch of Zenni; Marautis knew that that was the moment to strike and thus he snatched the small sack. Not even the quickly alerted authorities had managed to give a half respectable chase. 

And now he found himself slouched against the wall of a back alley catching his breath, feeling rather content with himself and his recent steal. Now at ease he found the time to take in his surroundings, having the tranquility to focus. He sat unaware for a few moments, before he began to trace a familiar power level nearby. It stemmed from up atop the building above, the figure was out of sight at this point, but Marautis most definitely recognised the power. 

He bared his pointed teeth, forming a wry grin. 
"Hehe, there's someone I haven't seen in a long time. They're a long way from home."

Marautis stayed seated, knowing it was his friend Tuce, he had hoped that maybe he would sense him sitting underneath the rooftop in the alley. This was sure to be an interesting
encounter indeed...

All of the sudden the powerlevel began to move quickly and in seconds its figure leaped down and descended from the roof. Landing powerfully before Marautis, it's identity could now clearly be confirmed. It was Tuce. Marautis recalled their fight over in the lands north-east of here, not all that long ago. The two had ended up teaming up, yes, that had been quite the scuffle. Marautis examined the body of the boy and noted he had gotten noticeably stronger since last time. He also appeared unaccompanied by his guard Raum. Marautis flashed a sinister grin as he sat upon the ground. "Hehe, it's been a while Tuce,". Marautis rose to his feet and extended his arm for his friend to shake, looking him dead in the eye, maintaining his smile. 

"What do you want Marautis?"

"From you? Nothing in particular. Let's just say I was passing through, perhaps, running a few errands, hehee," Marautis chuckled and ran his fingers over the small pouch of coins concealed in his robes, taking pleasure in remembering they were all his to keep. "I could ask you the same question could I not? Just admiring the view from up there were we? On your own this time as well? Whatever happened to that Raum fellow, I was fond of him," 


Marautis moved his hand back to his side having given his friend time to shake it. He shot some nervous glances to the opening of the alleyway, just checking to make sure he had not been followed or pursued by authorities. If by some chance they had managed to track his location, Marautis would have to remain on his guard and prepare to escape hastily. He didn't doubt his chances of escape but fate always favoured the prepared.
