He hated the cold, it was one of the few things in the world that Callio could say without a doubt he truly hated. Which is why he had put off doing Bing's request for as long as he did. He had ignored the Kami's task of defeating the Ice Bandit that was terrorizing the Frozen North for weeks. It had almost reached the point of forgottenance for Callio, but sadly he had remembered. Only because a certain Frost Demon had taken the time to remind Callio he had a task to do, that they both had tasks to do. How the hell Defrosch even managed to find him out in the middle of nowhere Callio didn't know, but regardless the Changeling had been right. He wasn't going to fully receive training from Bing until he did what had been asked of him, and so here he was. Wrapped snuggly in a winter jacket, cigarette in his mouth and an air bad attitude escaping from him. He wanted to get this done as quickly as possible but first he needed to wait for Defrosch to show the hell up. The two of them had agreed to tackle the tasks together, figuring that it be easier to work in a pair than separately. The fact they were going to work together was part of the reason Callio had waited to so long to actually start his quest. He wanted to be stronger when he next met the Arcosian. His first encounter with the Frost Demon had been pitiful in nature, he had been walked all over by the guy. This time though? Callio was much stronger, and he was sure Defrosch would be able to pick up on that fact. It might have seemed like he wanted to impress Defrosch but it was more a matter of pride than anything. He needed the Arcosian to know that he was going to catch up to him, and that the next time they fought it be on equal ground. Callio took a hit of his cigarette and flicked its ashes on the ground. He was starting to grow impatient, and he was pretty sure he'd end up smoking three more cigarettes before Defrosch actually bothered to show up. Just what the hell was taking the guy so long? "I swear to god if he's standing me up..." the angry thought trailed off from their as he began to pick up on a powerful energy approaching his destination. He took one last hit from his cig and tossed it into the ground, a hand moving through his crimson locks. "Finally! You're only two hours late, what the hell took you so long? Get caught up putting salt on people's hamburgers or what?" he might have sounded angry but Callio was simply teasing the guy. Don't get him wrong he was upset about having to wait, but there was likely a pretty solid reason for Defrosch's lateness right? Shin of GS + Adox

[Thread PL: 46,722] [SU] Liquid Ki - Mist Active! Ki suppressed to 10000]
Callio wasn't the only one to hate the cold. A certain salty individual also disliked colder temperatures, albeit for radically different reasons. The fact remained that this particular individual; Defrosch, while harboring this aversion to colder temperatures, he would be physically at home in such a region. Because of this, he had taken to scouting out the colder regions that Callio couldn't handle... Or rather; what Defrosch assumed Callio couldn't be bothered to handle. The Saiyan hybrid was stubborn and hardy, that much can be said. However, Defrosch still thought Callio was missing something.
A sense of how to further his strength, a lack of direction.
Maybe they had more in common than they first thought. Defrosch trudged through the snow, making his way to the agreed meeting place. Of course, he was a fair bit late, and Callio wasn't one to let that slide it seems.
"Hah, s'cuse me for doin' some extra research on the Serpent's Village. Trust me, that whole deal is gonna be easier because of that. I reckon I've got a good lead on where they are." He nodded to Callio as he approached, looking over the area. "You've figured out where that bandit is at, I assume? Think you can keep up with me?" Defrosch raised an eyebrow, noting that Callio was a bit tougher now, but elected to not outright say anything about it just to see if he would try and make it more obvious.

 - 25,986pl (19,489) - “Bowed down to get the kings overthrown and I'm all alone and the fire grows”WORDS: 907 | TAGS: Defrosch | NOTES: Pff trying to tempt Callio are we? Searching for leads on his part of their little journey was his excuse for being late, and one that Callio was willing to accept. "Well at least you were slacking off." just because he was going to accept it didn't mean he wasn't going to give Defrosch a hard time. When asked if he had even bothered to do something of a similar nature the Hybrid let out a low chuckle and reached into his pants pockets. With a bit of a sigh he pulled out a pack of cigarette and removed one form it, placing it between his lips and returning the package to his pockets. He then placed one of his fingers at the tip of the cigarette and lit using his ki. The sudden rush of the nicotine into his system having a calming like effect on his body, as he blew out stream of smoke. "I don't know where his base but a little birdy told me he was planning to attack a village that's a few miles ahead of here." the little birdy in question having been one the bandits thugs. He was probably a small guy on the totem pole of things but even so breaking him had proven a bit troublesome. It was only after Callio had broken the guy's eighth finger, and his right arm that he had bothered to spill the beans. Who would have guessed that their was no honor amongst thieves?
As for the second part of the Arcosian's question? As badly as he wanted to show his new found power off to the Changeling , he figured making him wait would be better. "I suppose we'll find out won't we?" he gave a shrug of his shoulder and then took another long hit of his cigarette. This time he blew the smoke in Defrosch's general direction, almost as if he was taunting the Frost Demon. Truth be told Callio wasn't entirely sure how far the gap between him and Defrosch was right now. It had become entirely apparent to Callio that the Changeling had the ability to mask his power level, making anything that he sensed entirely moot. Sure, right now Defrosch was only giving off a mere 10,000 and compared to the 25,000 Callio held within himself he was certainly stronger. Defrosch was holding back though, keeping a large portion of his power hidden behind a dam that he could break down at any moment and overwhelm Callio with. "Seeing as I hate the cold I'd prefer it if we can get this over with and then head out to the desert and start your task. I imagine the warmth will be amazing for me." he took one last hit from his cigarette before tossing into the snow. The half saiyan then cracked his neck to the left and right before turning his back on the alien.
He pointed a finger towards the area ahead of them and began to speak, "Like I said the village is a couple of miles north of us and while flying might be a good idea I suggest we walk." might have seemed silly considering they'd get their faster but Callio had his reasons. "Unlike you I'm not able to suppress my power level and if we fly their leader will surely pick me up, and then we'll lose our element of surprise." sure that meant they might arrive late and the village might already be under attack but that was honestly a risk Callio was willing to take. He had no idea how strong the bandit and his higher ranked henchmen truly were and that put him at a disadvantage he wasn't comfortable with. Thus the element of surprise would do him some good, and while yes he did have Defrosch he didn't expect the Arcosian to step in unless he really needed to. This had after all been a quest given directly to Callio, and besides who knew if Bing was watching the two of them? Testing Callio to see if would let Defrosch do all the work for him. He wasn't about to let himself lose a chance at gaining more strength. "I also want to make one thing clear. I don't mind if you take down anyone the bandit has with him, but you leave the big boss to me. Even if it looks like I can't handle it, you need to stay out of it. Bing could be watching and testing us and I'm not about to fail anything he throws at me." once he made that clear Callio returned his hands inside of his pockets and began to walk.
He had assumed that Defrosch would be following along beside him, what else was the guy gonna do? "By the way....where exactly did you learn that fighting style of yours?" it was honestly something the halfling had been meaning to ask for awhile now. Ever since their fight on the Lookout Callio had been tracing his memories to find out where he had seen Defrosch's fighting style before. Only recently had he managed to place it An Arcosian from his future had been using it, 'she' much like Defrosch happened to be one of the 'good' Frost Demons. "I mean if you don't want to share it's fine, but then you won't get to hear some of the juicy things I've got to say either." and boy did he have things to share.

"Oh sure, sure. Call me a slacker cuz I plan for the... Future." Defrosch chuckled, wiggling his eyebrows at Callio as they traded 'witty' banter. "Get it? Its a pun." He was sure Callio would get it. At this point its a game. If he takes the bait, Defrosch wins, and Callio knows that.
"Of course you'd would complain about the cold." Defrosch rolled his eyes, giving a light shrug of the shoulders. "Its not as if I like it much myself, but come on. You don't get stronger without being in uncomfortable temperatures and environments. Whatever though, this is your test."
Looking towards the horizon, noting the weather and landmarks from this angle. Callio rightfully suggested that while flying would get the two there faster, walking would provide a better vantage point. "I agree, flight has its advantages. We'd get there quicker, but it could go wrong if we drop down and land in a bad place..." Defrosch nodded as Callio voiced his concerns regarding the potential capabilities of their target "Yeah, thats fair. Did that 'little birdie' give you any other information? You've just implied this bandit leader can sense ki, after all."
The Arcosian eagerly bumped his fists together. He was certain that he could take on any flunkies and grunts in the upcoming battle. "Like I said, its your test... Plus, yeah, Bing might be pullin' some sorta sneaky mind-eye-camera maneuver." Defrosch shuddered, honestly hoping that wasn't the case. "Its a deal. You take on their bigshot, I'll take care of the rest."
"Hmm." Defrosch paused for a moment... That was quite an odd request that Callio had made. Was it because of the whole 'future' angle he was going with? Or was he genuinely curious? "How about this, I'll tell you when we're done here. Sound fair to you?"
