History: A devoted housewife and mother, San Mi, was raised by her parents in a cozy suburban neighborhood. Whenever the girl was allowed to walk to the rundown gas station on the corner the cashier would proudly boast that it was the last stop before hitting the highway, and everyday around noon a shadow would be cast over the entire block by the large white water tower that read SATAN CITY. Although her mother forced her into a variety of cotton sundresses, insisting she act as a proper lady, San was easily persuaded to play in the mud by, Yaki, the young boy who lived next door. The two spent much of their time together playing pretend. Sometimes they would run around their yards, using the hedges as cover, while they played soldier with finger guns. Other times she would force him to play house in her dad’s tool shed.
The two stayed close all through school, eventually becoming sweethearts, but after graduation he left to join the Earth's Defense Forces. Rather than continue on to college San took a job as a secretary at a local dentist office. It was monotonous work, scheduling appointments and greeting clients, but it passed the time and she managed to move out into an apartment of her own on the other side of town. Years passed before she spotted Yaki over a pile of cabbages at the grocery store. He explained he’d been injured in battle and sent home early. In her excitement to embrace him she’d knocked over the cart, sending heads of cabbage rolling across the floor to every corner of the shop. After he’d helped her clean up the produce section, Yaki and San had stumbled out of the shop laughing hysterically. It hadn’t been long before he proposed and she had happily accepted.
Yaki was a hero among the Earth's Defense Forces and they’d promoted him to commander of the reserve forces stationed near Satan City, hoping to keep him out of harm’s way. After a beautiful ceremony they moved into a historic manor home just a few blocks from city hall. It was a lovely neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The couple was delighted when San discovered she was with child. After the birth of a beautiful son, Akono, she quit her job at the office to become a full time mother. It seemed to everyone that knew her that she’d lived a charmed life. San couldn’t have been happier and for several years she experienced the sort of bliss most people only ever dreamed of.
That was when the Saiyan’s arrived.
The bloodcurdling screams of her neighbors could be heard of the evacuation alarms as she ran towards city hall, her son in tow. Her husband had insisted he had to stay to organize the defense but upon seeing the monsters approaching she'd refused to leave him behind. Her last thought before she blacked out was, how could he be so stubborn? She awoke in a hospital bed months later, unable to move even a finger. Her injuries had left her paralyzed but what was worse was the knowledge that her little boy had died for nothing. Fury rose up inside her as she cursed all Saiyans. Bent upon revenge she screamed until the nurses finally brought her someone with good news. A Doctor Breech who specialized in mechanization.
