Android's being safe is fine--I specifically stated I think they are too safe. It was fortunate that Vi had decided prior to RR's destruction that this would revert him back to normal/goodie, otherwise we could have had a virtually eternal RR saga.

How about this system, with cooldowns:
Death 1: 1000 Zeni
Death 2: 4,000 Zeni if in same Tier as death 1.
Death 3: 7,000 Zeni if in same Tier as death 2.
When a new Tier is made, the cost rubberbands back to 1000 Zeni. This would still allow Androids to serve as great villains and 'aggressive' types, but would put some breaks on them and prevent the 'forever saga' problem.
For instance, even though the RR Sagas were last summer, I'd still be under the 4,000 Zeni, since technically I'm under the same Tier as RR Vi.
This would also introduce a definite cap on the 1k Zeni rewards. Once you reach the final x40 Tier, there will be no more Tiers to ascend, so you will never see a 1k Zeni rebuild again. This would prevent some endgame baddie Android from going nuts forever, because he'd soon be paying 7000 WC a pop in blackhole WC.

I like that suggestion a lot. Still a great UC, but not entirely unlimited.

My only question for that is what would be considered reaching a new tier? I would like for plot reasons to have Otto unlock his SSJ level trans after using a reconstruction for plot reasons. Would I be considered in my x9 tier if I went over 100k and was holding off gaining the transform for a story reason, or would you be considered in that tier after you unlock the trans?

My thinking is it would have to respect the xModifier mechanic rather than the PL benchmark, since the modifier requires you to be out of a DE and to have the an actual upgrade thread. It's a higher bar to pass than just being able to tier up.
So the Tier would be like, if someone went from their x6 to their x9, they would have it.
