Nicolas meanwhile, had one thought on his mind. It went something like: 'Oh fuck...Chopsticks.' He stared at the utensils before him with such utter contempt. In his intense staring contest with the two wooden sticks he hardly noticed the excellent whiskey the kind old man gave him, or the fact that his face was expertly rendered in a delicious array of meats, noodles, and veggies. No, all he could focus on was those little. Wooden. Sticks. He thought about it, if he just went for it he'd surely fumble around and look like a fool. She'd probably laugh at him for it and, given her appreciation for food and food like things, lose some respect for him over it. He couldn't let that happen. No, he had to man up and try his absolute best to fake it. All he had to do was reach for them and take that first plunge. Why was he so damn nervous though? Why did he care? She obviously liked him enough to say yes towards his proposal of a dinner date and come along with him in the first place. Was trying to be cool really so important? What if it was? What if he was going to screw this up?! But most importantly...Why'd it have to be chop sticks?!
Hearing the girl's muffled demand Nicolas would look up to match her gaze. What he saw eliminated the buzzing of thought and worry. In fact, he had to fight back a laugh as he took in the image of Zerori fiercely gnawing a piece of meat with the chopsticks impaled through it like a set of mini spears. It was silly, cute, and a total relief to him to see her so...Comfortable around him. In the briefest of moments he could swear the gentle warmth she gave off when they were close was enough to melt his heart. He looked into his bowl at his edible reflection and couldn't help but grin at how happy it looked.
He was overthinking things again; he just had to relax and be himself.
He looked up to the old man and bowed his head. "Thanks for everything, sir." He spoke with honest gratitude. The generous spread of food and fine drink was well over what he would have expected from such a quaint little stand. The old man seemed to have a certain pride in his work and it showed from every detail.
Starting with a hearty sip of probably some of the best whiskey he's ever tasted (followed soon after by an intense shudder that started from his toes and ended at his nose) Nicolas began his meal in earnest. Chopsticks be damned.
"Woaaahh... This is incredible!" He called out after taking his first bite. "Each flavor compliments each other perfectly. It's like I'm in heaven...Figuratively..." He added in the last bit sheepishly. He poured himself some more Whiskey and happily drank it down letting out a nice content sigh afterwards. "No doubt about it, we're really getting spoiled here!" He chuckled grinning as he looked over to Zerori.

As she ate away at the meat, and what a delectable piece it was, Zerori could see looking up from her bowl that he was stressed, confused and – if she had to guess – also unsure how to use the chopsticks. Different strokes, eh? She felt herself think with a full-mouth grin and when he looked up and noticed her she could see the worry, anxiety and just overall nervousness fall away. Good. Fear doesn’t suit him… Finally swallowing what she was eating, she licked her lips and tilted her head at him, “Spoilt is right! Old man, remind me to call you any time I need to prepare a party or somethin’!” She would deliver another wink to the man at their side before returning to her food. This evening was going so well, so… smoothly, she honestly wondered what she would do should it ever end? Namek wasn’t really going anywhere and she wasn’t aware of anyone else being on the far off world. Maybe… She thought serenely, chewing a bit slower, Maybe I don’t have to go. The thought was almost liberating in simply how easy it would be to just ‘forget’ about her guilt. Ari didn’t have to come back and she could just live out her life doing… whatever she wanted. You couldn’t possibly be so cruel!* Standing up suddenly, Zerori pushed back her chair with a loud clank of the dishes against the table and nearly knocked over her bottle of Vodka. Her hands were placed solidly against the surface as she snarled at the door with apparent hatred, yet… no one was there. Glaring at the door, her heart beat could be heard past the soft music and scuffling of shoes as she tried to calm herself. “Damn it!” She hissed softly, looking back down at her bowl with an almost sorrowful expression. She knows, somehow! That nosy bitch, Zerori though venomously, biting her lip with frustration. Remembering her date, she looked up with a very misplaced expression of worry before she addressed him. “I’m sorry, something, uh… startled me. Nothin’ t’worry about, though,” She gradually sat back down in her chair. Looking at her food, she tried to get another bite but her appetite and long since vacated her body prompting her to set the stick back down in the bowl. What could she do to try and rekindle the mood they shared? Listening to the music for a bit, she looked up at Nicolas and used ‘Plan B’ until she could come up with a good ‘Plan A’. “So, you live here in West City but I, uh, don’t think I caught what you did for a living?” Zerori inquired, thinking to herself, For the love of the Gods, don’t ask about me…

While he heard the comforting words of these people, he could also hear the sudden shout that was coming from the person, noticing that single moment of everything going to utter hell with the mood being ruined. A common occurance he had found in the lives of the people that approuched his stall, always were they riddled with problems, issues, trauma's yet whenever those things happened he had always found a single option that could bring himself to let them relax, slowly pulling out a small fruit and starting to peel it, the scent started to break free.
"Please. You two, relax"
His words spoke, reinforced by a sudden tone of authority?, No, it was someting diffrent from that, his sad expression slowly moving forwards as he did not even dare to cut this small fruit in smaller pieces than block sized parts that you could chew once and gulp down your neck. It would be even more strange to find that the expression on his face was... Hunger? Yet what would have brought his body to desire food unless it was this strange piece of fruit that was brought onto the table. A soft sweet scent starting to spread out he moved his body back towards the stand while changing the music to something more upbeat.
"Please, Dig in while i prepare something more befitting of a dessert"
There was a sense of dread from every person on the table towards this certain food, able to awake hunger in every single person with this strange sweet scent it was etmitting starting to reveal a strange effect, the area starting to slowly fade away as a trace of ki was readable from this fruit. Able to invigorate the nearby people it also possessed a inborn amount of ki as the entire area had changed into a beautifull grassland with small flowers as the sakura trees that overshadowed you guys would slowly let their leaves fall down to the ground in a rain like motion. Swirling around you guys as the price of such an object could easily allocate enough for even the president of earth to have to spend years to save up. Yet here it was, such a fruit that made everything such a comforting atmosphere was placed before you letting it be consumed for not even a single penny paid.
Yet the most interesting part was how the animals that would appear are based on the innerlying psyche of our beings, slowly pulling from animals we had comforting and pleasurable expieriences with. From baby goats in this spiritual like world to adult dogs that one liked, you could find any kind of animal as a look upon Ayumu would notice to you guys that contact with these creatures was possible. Although he seemed rather busy on making what seemed to be a pretty great dessert, constantly working himself in a sweat for the two of you without a single regret in the world, giving everything for his desires of seeing you two together. It was kind of obvious that this man gave that kind of a thumb up towards the man sitting beside you.
(Sorry for the late post or being out of order, please post a post-order for me to get it in my mind? ;w; Also with such a appearance like effect by a single apple you guys may improv just how good of a flavour it has~)

Nicolas blinked at the events that just unfolded. From Zerori's outburst and the strange affect the old man's mystical fruit brought upon the air he was left sort of speechless. Yet for some reason a ravenous hunger had settled in. It was a strange, unsettling feeling that radiated throughout him and he couldn't decide if he was worried or starving. What was going on? When did this date take such a strange left turn?
He got drugged didn't he? This old man drugged the two of them with the free food. The two of them were going to wake up in a cooler without their kidneys. He knew the song and dance! He saw the specials on late night TV! He wasn't fooling anybody!
...Still despite his fears, he couldn't help but take a nearly ravenous bite out of the fruit provided to him and despite everything it really did taste delicious. Kidneys be damned.
He swallowed, before glancing to Zerori once more. Not wanting to leave her hanging as she desperately tried to recapture the mood they had enjoyed together he cut her a goofy little smile. "W-well, it wasn't super interesting but I used to work at Bao-Mart. They pretty much kept me locked away in the garden section so it was pretty simple. Due to some er...Complications I had to...Leave, abruptly. Due to reasons." Even if she had deduced that he was ashed by Realigner Red he didn't know that so he had to come up with a flimsy half truth about his job.
"B-Before you think I'm some loser without a job I actually applied for a job at the news station. I might end up being a photographer or reporter! I think there's a pretty good shot!" He spoke, chest puffing with pride. "How about you? Are you some kind of adventurer or something?" He realized as soon as he said it how silly it sounded. 'Adventurer' wasn't an occupation cause life wasn't an anime or video game.
"What I meant was, do you always end up finding yourself facing off against crazy robots or aliens or whatever? I mean you're pretty much like a super hero or something but is that like your day job?" It'd be awesome but pretty unbelievable if she somehow got paid to kick bad guy ass.

Well… it didn’t get worse. Looking down at her food for a moment as the man responsible for their food asked her to be calm, she would close her eyes briefly before looking back up at Nicolas. He was getting nervous, again, and she had to smirk at that. What a dork… She grinned. Provided an apple, she paused briefly and looked it over with a confused expression, leaning her face towards it like she was almost magnetically pulled toward the fruit. When Nic spoke, she shook out of her reverie and looked up at him, blinking to try and release herself from the charm the apple apparently had on her.
“B-Bao-Mart? Is that some sort of Florist?” He had mentioned flowers so, she had to be at least a little close. When he explained that he’d left the job and that he was likely going to be a news reporter, taking a bite out of the apple, she paused and nearly choked. “Oh, that’s-!” This was the part where she would encourage him, even if… his occupation might clash with hers. “That’s great, I think. It’s nothing like what I do,” She grinned, feeling a strange sense of giddiness all of sudden.
Looking at the apple, she wondered if this was wise to eat…
And then he asked her what she did.
Mouth full of apple, Zerori stared at him with a shocked expression and hoped the moments of her chewing would be enough to use to think about her response. When he elaborated on his question, she raised her brows upwards at the mention of ‘robots and aliens’.
Didn’t she…technically do that, like he said?
If only he knew that she didn’t do for shits and giggles. Finishing what was in her mouth, she licked her lips and gave the best answer she could. “Yeah, it’s a little something like that. I’m… not really from this planet, as you know. But I’m not exactly welcome there… or at least,” She disliked how ‘cloak and dagger’ she was about the explanation. “I didn’t feel welcome there, as a child. Anyway!” She tried to push the thought away, getting back to answering his question. “I help sometimes, if it pays well enough. I’m what you call a Mercenary and I like to think I’m damn good at my job.”
Giving him a grin, she looked at the remains of the apple that tasted SO divine and looked over at the trashcan nearby before tossing it gracefully towards it. Hitting the top of the wall with a SPLAT, it would fall into the can. Looking back at Nicolas, she tilted her head at him a soft a smile, “Hey, it’s… look, the night is still young but I think maybe we could go some place else?” Leaning back in her chair, she huffed loudly and mumbled, “Maybe I could show you a place I like to frequent?”
Boy, if he accepted… She’d have somethin’ else to show him!
((Sorry for the lateness! Gonna try and be more responsive!))

"Some place you frequent?" Nicolas asked as he leaned back in his chair. He looked the girl over as he leaned back and forth on the chair dangling between "comfortable tilt" to "dangerous flail." He balanced back and forth between these two extremes before nearly falling back and cracking his skull on the tile. He scrambled up, a cold sweat hitting him as he latched unto the counter top before he slowly turned and gave a sheepish smile towards his date.
"Y-yeah that could be cool to see I'm pretty much game for anything you know? Well unless it involved murder or something but saying that aloud I realize how dumb it was to even mention it. I'll just be quiet now..." He spoke practically a mile a minute as he rest his arms behind his head in a faux casual pose. "So where is it actually? Is it close?" He questioned curiousity overtaking him.
Was she the clubbing type? The gambling type? Something else cliche'd? He could only wonder. He knew however, as long as he was with her, he'd have a good time.

She watched in amusement as Nicolas seemed to think about her offer, her intent to mostly show him where she was most comfortable. However, seeing him tempt death and almost fall onto the floor Zerori would simply just laugh and lean up to before he turned himself back around. He was so… dorky, she didn’t think anyone so silly existed – much less a man whom tried to court her. It was refreshing. Tilting her head to the side as he accepted her idea, she raised a brow at his mention of murder not being the ‘best’ idea of fun which confused her enough to knit her eyebrows in confusion. Her smile was still present, however, and she just shook her head.
“Strange human,” Getting up from her seat, she answered his question with a wink and came over to his side as she looked down upon him, “Why don’t you simply follow me and find out?” Voice dropped an octave, she hoped her expression belied the ‘come hither’ look she was trying to pass to him before turning around. She didn’t expect him to not take her bait, after all.
Leaving the establishment, she placed a hand at the frame of the door before remembering her manners and turning back to the kind geezer. With a grin, her cheek bones half-lidding her eyes, she declared, “Thanks for the meal, Sir! If I ever find you, I’ll pay you back somehow,” Tossing a wave at him, she disappeared beyond the door and back out in the streets. Looking around to catch her bearings, she placed her hands at her hips before looking at the sky and reading the stars above.
For a moment, she would just stare at them before she found what needed and made a soft ‘A-hah!’ and started off towards the north. She was aiming to get farther from downtown West City and make it towards the more relatable side of the town. As she passed by evening people, the city literally taking on a different form the farther they walked towards the more ill-reputable parts of the city, Zerori would turn her head to see if her date was following and how he reacted to his new surroundings.
She hoped he’d be okay, but… honestly, she was worried that he’d be scared off by her choice of relocation. This was, after all, the Northern Slums of the West.

Nicolas nervously adjusted his wristwatch as they began to walk down some of the rougher streets of West City. Given how Zerori wrote him off as dorky (if not dashingly handsome and a total charmer) his skittish nature may have been attributed to his lifestyle The reality though, was that he knew these streets: like the back of his hand (though in this case, glove would be the more accurate term.) He patrolled these streets often, in fact it was these very streets that Captain Nova got into his first fight. Ripjaw, (before he became Ripjaw) and his thugs were mugging an old mail carrier. He would have smiled at the memory but something kept a damper on his spirit.
Namely, the lovingly stenciled grafitti of his star insignia with a bleeding bullet hole through it. That seemed like a nice touch. While he wasn't worried about getting mugged or even shot at he was worried some punk might somehow recognize him. So dropping his gaze and assuming a meek stance he'd quickly catch up to Zerori. He looked up to her, the confident stride and the knowing smirk caused him to forget why he was so worried for a moment as he got lost in staring at the fiery beauty. But another bit of graffiti showing Captain Nova's face with a red 'X' through it brought him back to reality.
"So...Uhhh..." He scratched the back of his neck as he quickly cut his gaze aside. "Where exactly are we headed again?" He asked wondering just what his date had planned.

Walking along the darkening streets, Zerori would occasionally glance back at her brave companion to see how he was holding up in the slums. As she did so it was with a worried blink that she noticed he was trying to keep his face hidden from the various passersby. Was he that frightened by the direction they were going? Narrowing her eyes, the saiyaness contemplated silently what she could do to put him at ease. Passing by a club that the saiyaness used as a check point in her mind to find her destination, she would closed her eyes briefly and take in a deep breath.
It was at the point that Nicolas would walk faster to meet her pace and as he did so, a very faint glow would start to emanate from the woman. At first, it would appear like she was just… radiant, or perhaps wearing bright clothing. In time, however, she would start to glow a bright orange to illuminate the area around her as she stepped to roughly within five feet of her. She looked at him with a smile, the corners of her eyes crinkling a bit as she spoke. “Don’t worry about it, mainly because…” She paused, looking forward to face a very brightly colored bar. “-We’re here.”
And what a sight it would behold. As the sun touched the edges of the horizon, throwing the setting into twilight, the bar would sport quite a large name as it would read off ‘NoWhereIsHere’ in bright neon blue, a bit of showy ornaments around the gutters and circular attachments if the establishment like Christmas lights. Out in front of it were a few patrons that seemed more into talking and dancing than anything while (almost timed perfectly) an argument would be ensued inside. It was the perfect nightlife hang out for the younger generation of partiers in West City and Zerori… made her mark quite known.
Closing in Zerori would look to Nicolas curiously, but with a mischievous tint to her smirk, “You ready for some fun? This was my first bar upon landing on this planet and it’s also… where I met,” She screwed up her face at the memory of a certain man whom got under her skin. “Let’s just say it was a bad hand in romance,” She grinned, chuckling at the memory of the saiyan whom would later become her mate – and then later be expunged from her life. Gesturing with a tilt of her head, she would lead him inside.
And what a world it was. Well… argument at the front door aside. To the left, lined with bar stools of varying sizes and shapes was the main attraction while to the right were tables and chairs that would lead further down into… well, one would call them ‘shows’ where lasses and lads would show off their more refined bodily shapes and sizes in the form of... a show!
Holding the door open, Zerori raised her voice over the loud yelling and infighting of the patrons (to which had the bartender yelling constantly, adding to the mix) and address Nicolas. “Hey! Go ahead and get us some drinks! I’m sure I can find us a good table and then we can have some real fun!” Despite the turmoil and uproar, Zerori gave him a wink, “Hope you like to sing!”

"S-Sing? Like sing sing? What kind of...Is this a karaoke place?" Nicolas stammered, looking around the club. His gaze bounced from the dimly lit bar where people crowded around for their drinks to the dance floor where the more brave (or buzzed) patrons were busy grooving to the heavy beat. Each pulse of music caused the crowd to wave as if each and every person was moving in sync to the beat, like they were all connected by the pounding bass that surrounded them. It was almost a hypnotic sight. Nicolas' staring was cut off by a playful brush of a fluffy tail underneath his jaw.
"Z-Zerori?" Nicolas uttered, thinking the monkey tailed saiyan-demon was playing games with him only to lock in on a pair of electric blue eyes of a lithe Siamese Cat Zoanthrope with a cute little bob cut and a devious glint to her grin. He blinked but jumped back, remembering why he was there in a second. "Zerori!" He called out completely deflecting the other's hints to come along.
He came up to the demoness, flushed from embarrassment with a sheepish smile. "This place has er... A lot of people. Are you sure it's a karaoke joint? That seems kinda..." He looked back to the crowd, trying not to imagine the cat and her ever so short dress. "I dunno, not like a karaoke joint." He eloquently deduced.
It was then that he realized he had come to her empty handed. He threw his hands into the air at his own stupidity as his face showed a mix of outrage and a forced smile. "I just realized I totally forgot th-Er to ask you what your poison was. That old man was kinda loopy so I didn't catch what he served ya at the uh...Noodle stand." He paused his fake smile faltering a bit as he frowned lightly. "Gah I'm mucking this whole thing up... I can't help but think more drinks and singing isn't gonna fare well for me."

Walking away from him, Zerori would just chuckle at his nervous he sounded. ‘Sing Sing’? By the gods, he was such a dork it tickled her. Passing by a couple of canine zoanthropes, Zerori looked over at the bar and locked gazes with a familiar friend of hers. It was a pale-skinned male with black beady eyes that seemed to almost stare into your soul. His name was Slen and wasn’t a man that wasn’t likely trifled with. Sure, since they met months ago she was on thin ice and dancing on eggshells around him to try and have a good time here. After all, the city was in quite a lot of damage when she first arrived and didn’t make the best of impressions. But after some quality time with the ruffians that made this place hell to recover, they developed somewhat of a beneficial relationship between each other.
In the second they locked gazes she was looking away the very next and sauntering up to a clear table near the front and center of the stage. At the mention of her name in question, Zerori turned around to look at him – only to raise her eyebrow at his new ‘friend’. By the looks of the tail as it fell back next to the bob-cut lass, she could infer what might have caught Nicolas off guard. Crossing her arms over her chest, Zerori’s eyes narrowed ever so lightly on him as he quickly divested himself of the situation.
“Sure, I’m sure,” Cracking a smirk, she hooked an ankle around a chair and pulled from the underside of the table with a loud scrape, sitting down in it. Resting her arm against the surface, she placed her cheek on her fist as she spoke, “Relax, unlike me she’s absolutely harmless and can’t hold her alcohol in the least. Besides,” Her own tail would come up from behind her and gesture playfully for him to come hither as she cooed, “No one will bother if you’re next me,” And with a wink, she finished him.
Grinning, she would raise her hand to call over a server while teasing him, “You’re definitely too tense for this place so just sit down and lemme handle this, eh? Unless… you can handle getting me the hottest drink in the house?” She leaned forward to him, pointing to the bar, “Vodka, 50 degrees Celsius. Any cooler than that and I might have to show you how it’s done.”

Nicolas flushed all over again as the hybrid brought him over with a playful flick of her tail. He sat down beside her before cracking a grin as she mentioned the possibility of getting some more drinks. "You know, the clubs and the big city life is kinda new to me. However, back when I lived in Seasalt town there were three things I would do for fun." He grinned holding up three fingers to the demoness. "Those were playing video games, drawing, and drinking so lets do a round of shots of your fancy super hot Vodka." He smirked, awaiting the waiter. Maybe he was buzzed (or drugged by that crazy old man) but he was feeling what he assumed was confidence. Though there was also the possibility that he could have been deathly afraid of singing in front of anyone. Some super hot liquid courage would help him out with that.
After placing the order Nicolas would look to his fiery date. "So..." He trailed off trying to think of something to keep things rolling. "What song are you going to sing?" He asked tilting his head lightly. "Do you have a favorite?" He wondered what sort of music taste she had. Music could certainly tell a lot about ones personality after all. Nicolas listened to a lot of everything for example and he felt he always had a somewhat well rounded personality. What was Zerori's taste? Metal? Rap? She had that rocker vibe about her so he wouldn't be surprised if it was something punk or underground she enjoyed.

Perhaps he wasn’t really catching the intent to have him go get the alcohol… but when he sat down at the table, she didn’t mind it too much. He was trying to be bold, not submissive. It didn’t bother her that he would wait for the waiter to arrive. As the young man came to their table, Zerori would screw up her face a bit (smiling) as he told her what he did for fun. As fun as drinking was… his other talents that she’d hardly had any experience in interest her the most. She tapped the waiters’ sleeve, a dark-haired man with pale green eyes, “Vodka, 50 degree Celsius, for both of us. Make it the Rob Hopper Brand and let me worry about the price,” Her tone booked no argument, receiving only a nod before he walked off briskly to ready their order.
Looking back at Nicolas, she would give a small shrug, “I can’t lie to you; I haven’t been on this planet but about a little under a year. From what I’ve managed to listen to,” She gestured with a finger, naming of a few that caught her attention, “Blinkin’ Park, Shelly Clarkson, and Caravan Mansion to name a few.” Tossing a bashful grin his way, she admitted to him softly, “I’m actually kinda into the whole ‘break up’ music. Real liberatin’, y’know?”
It was at this moment that she realized the meaning of the words she just said… in the context she said them in.
“U-Uh, by that I don’t mean that I’ll break up with just anyone! R-Rather, that I like to be alive! Not that people can kill me or nothin’, but…” Stopping, she placed a hand over her face with a soft groan of annoyance. “Of course, I have to babble-” Shaking her head, she just answered his question simply with a scratch of her head, “I’ve got one in mind but it’s… like,” She shook her head with a smile, “You have to promise not to laugh or I swear, I’ll immolate you!”
As the waiter returned, she would accept the offered drinks and waited for him to leave before responding, softly, “Satasha Beddingfield’s ‘Unwritten’,” Before giving him a knowing look while waiting for his reaction.

Nicolas smiled as she was put into an awkward state of babbling and timidness much like he often was whenever he was in her presence. Seeing her acting almost bashful was pretty adorable and caused a swarm of butterflies to flutter in his heart. He nodded to the waiter as he was given his drink before he turned his attention back to his date. "That's a real nice song, I think you'll do great!" The young man smiled, placing a hand over hers as the forest green hues of his gaze met with the cool crystal gems of hers. For a moment, he couldn't help but stare, even in the dimly let club her eyes seemed to sparkle which utterly dazzled him.
He blinked, pulling his gaze away as he felt his heart hammer into his chest "A-Also, don't worry about your taste in music. I enjoy pretty much everything! From classical, to rock, to rap, to techno and pretty much everything else." He smiled a bit wider, giving her hand a playful squeeze. "Blinkin Park happens to be one of my favorites too." He said with a laugh as he finally pulled his hand away. "Though, I probably won't be singing anything too fancy..." He mused, reflecting on the few songs he actually knew how to sing. Realizing that they weren't exactly 'club' songs he figured that things were probably going to go badly. "When I do sing you have full permission to laugh too, making a goof of myself is one of my only real talents." He joked, using a little self depreciating humor to keep the mood going.
With that, he took his shot glass and held it up. "I propose we take our shots of pure, burning, liquid courage with pride while we still have it." He flashed her a genuine smile, waiting for her to raise her glass with him. "If I don't scare you off after this I'll consider tonight a win." He chuckled.

Sipping on her drink Zerori could feel her muscles jerk suddenly when Nicolas placed his hand over hers, almost causing her to choke as she looked to the hand with an almost terrifying expression. What the hell was that?! It wasn’t like any normal sensation she’d felt when touching another person – and believe me, she’s touched some people in her younger years. Somehow, though, this was… electric. Swallowing, she looked off to the side as she mumbled, “Thank you,” to his response. Sure enough, this damnable flush just wouldn’t fuck off. As he raised his glass, inviting her to toast to liquid courage, Zerori raised her own glass with his and snorted. “I promise, I won’t laugh as long as you don’t,” She purred warmly, clinking her glass with his before throwing the show back to burn down her throat. Placing the drink down, she let out a loud sound of enjoyment before she winked at him and kicked the chair back to stand. “You’ve inspired me, Nic,” She would coo brusquely before turning away and offering on last wink at him before walking over to the bar. Curiously, she would speak a few words before the bartender would nod and lean down. Picking up something he’d hand it over to her and Zerori would follow suit by walking to each table and setting it in the middle like a centerpiece. Once she got to their table, she’d place a hand over her lips to signify that she wanted no response before placing it in the middle. In the shape of a heart, about ten inches high and four inches wide, the center piece would feature a large candle that was about five inches tall – stopping in the middle of the design. As Zerori walked to the stage, swallowing nervously facing away from everyone, the saiyaness only had a few seconds to make her split-second decision. Turning to face them all, she let her eye linger on the strange man in question before… it felt like it was the best time as ever. Giving a nod to herself, she looked over at the DJ of the club and licked her lips before speaking in to the microphone in front of her. “I was going to sing something this evenin’,” She started, her accent leaking through and she cleared her throat. “But I… changed my mind. I’ll be singin’ something that feels more appropriate for the company I have tonight.” Throwing a glance at Nicolas she offered one last wink before she raised a hand to fluidly snap her fingers. “Hit it.” She closed her eyes, waiting for her cues. Thankfully, she’d informed the DJ of her choice of music… just in case. Heart beats… slow, getting slower before finally… A flat line. Her eyes snapped open and she started, grabbing the Mic as her voice raised in octave, “This is my heartbeat song and I’m gonna play it; been so long, I forgot how to turn it up, up, up, up all night long – Oh, up, up all night long…” Briefly closing her eyes, Zerori let the moment still before she raised a hand to snap her fingers. In sync with the music, candles along the pubs’ walls would ignite just as the lights dimmed to nothing – increasing the ambiance. With a smile, she’d start up the next verse – point at Nicolas as she swiveled her hips to the beat, “You. What the hell did you come from? You’re a different, different kinda fun,” She looked away, “I’m so used to feelin’ nu~umb!” She waved her hand in a gesture outward, “Now! I got a pins and needles on my tongue… anticipatin’ what’s to come!” Smoothly, she’d make her hand into the shape of a gun as she pointed it out at the crowd with a grin, “Like a finger on a loaded gu~un!” Closing her eyes, she’d move sensually to the slower beat, “I can feel it risin’, temperature inside me,” She opened her eyes as she pitched, “Haven’t felt this for a lo~ong ti~ime!” Snapping her fingers, the candles on the tables would ignite as she went right into the next verse, moving more animatedly, “This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it – been so long I forgot how to turn it,” She gestured upwards, “-Up, up, up, up all night long. Oh, up, up all night long!” Looking at Nicolas, she’d gesture towards him, “This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it – Turned it on, but I know you can take it up, up, up, up all night long; Oh, up, up all night long!” Tossing him a warm smile, she’d bring her dance back and look out at the crowd before going into the next lyric. “I… I wasn’t even gonna go out,” She closed her eyes, remembering her time with Snippar and felt her heart go cold again. Opening her eyes, she’d rest them on Nic’s before she smiled, “But I never would have had a doubt… if I’d have known where I’d be no~ow!” Putting more soul into her movements, she moved her hips to the beat –placing them tactfully to the words, “Your hands on my hips,” Bringing her hand to her lips, “-And my kiss on your lips,” She reached towards him, her face almost beseeching, “Oh, I could do this for a lo~ong ti~ime!” Beat changing again, she raised her hand in the fist as she moved to the rhythm, “This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it – Been so long, I forgot how to play it,” Her hand changed back into that gun, “-Up, up, up, up all night long; Oh up, up all night long!” Gesturing it back to Nicolas, she winked, “-This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it – turned it on but I know you can take it up, up, up, up all night long; Oh, up, up all night lo~ong!”Remembering when they first met, she felt her heart skip a beat as she snapped her finger before starting the next lyrics. The heart-shaped center piece on only his table would ignite – showing exactly who the song was for, “Until tonight, I only dreamed about yo~ou,” She tilted her head at him, smiling sadly, “I can’t believe I’ll ever breathe without yo~ou,” The memory of him telling her he’d been captivated by her ran through her mind, just before he died, “Baby, you make me feel alive and brand ne~ew!” She threw her head back as she finished the verse, more passionate than she’d ever felt before “Bring it one more tiii~ime!” As the beat leveled out, bringing a soft peaceful moment, she’d lean down toward Nicolas she continued the song as soft as the artist intended, “This is my Heartbeat song… and I’m gonna play it – been so long, I forgot how to turn it up, up, up, up all night long…” The chorus in the song she wasn’t following changed the tune, just before Zerori closed her fist towards him and stood by up – taking with her, she was certain, his own breathe away. By this point, the crowd was standing and bouncing to the beat, “This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it – turned it on, but I know you can take it!” Bringing the gun back, she pointed upwards but looked at Nicolas the entire time, “-Up, up, up, up all night long; Oh, up, up all night long!” Shaking her head, she’d come to the end of the song, stepping towards the edge of the stage, “This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it – been so long, I forgot how to turn it up, up, up, up all night long – Oh, up, up all night long!”Looking back down, the music would calm sans the beat and she’d sit down on the edge, gesturing with her hand for him to come closer. The crowd sang the lyrics with her, helping her along as she sang this part for him… and him alone. Assuming he came close to her, she’d wrap an arm around him and throw the mic away – allowing the chorus lyrics to sing to the crowd, “This is my Heartbeat song, and I’m gonna play it,” Leaning towards him, she’d let her smile shine towards him, “Turned it on, but I know y’can take it up, up, up, up all night long,” She slowly moved closer, her intent clear as she glanced at his lips, “Oh, up, up all night long...”Finally, hoping this would seal the deal – she’d lean towards him to seal… another kinda deal as the crowd went wild and the heart beat from the music pounded like her own did.
