Raisu spoke the truth, they were used to their own training, but that didn’t mean others could stand such an intense training regimen. They could as well get crushed after a few days by the routine itself. “Now that I think about it.. we are stronger than the average Saiyan warrior, that’s true. My parents themselves were born low-class and.. pretty sure I was stronger than them the first time we fought.” - he told him.
“Speaking of which.. I’d really go check out that old house in these days.” - he thought to himself. He had never walked around there after he left his old home, he had no reason to. But he was curious to see it once more.
The Saiyan raised an eyebrow as he looked at the Hybrid. “..Perhaps he doesn’t believe in traitors.. or did he and Natto meet?” - he wondered, taking a sip from his tea. He had no idea, perhaps he was just overthinking.
“Eh, indeed. You know, my father got my tail cut off because I used to transform and pretty sure my father got tired of repairing that house of ours. I don’t know what to think of that form myself, if I still had it, I would just use it as an ace. Don’t get me wrong, but when I think of it, traditionalists come to mind. I could not control it, so yes.. I am definitely lucky. I’d rather stick with my base form, at least I know what I do.” - he told him.
“Suppose having no tail is a benefit from a certain point of view.” - he decided to finish his speech there.
“Any idea on what you are going to do?” - he asked.

Indeed, they were different. For whatever reason, they were people capable of going above and beyond what was average. Whether it was genetics, fate, or just pure random chance, they were strong. Raisu could feel Cornatto's power. He was indeed growing strong, very much so. Like Raisu himself. Still, that tail was a hindrance to Raisu. He was jealous of Cornatto, truly. To be tailless was to be free of some curse. Of course, Raisu could seize control of the beast when he was in that state... But he did not like it.
But what was he going to do next? Now that was a question, one that stumped Raisu for a solid moment. He hummed to himself thinking, visibly in thought. There was something he wanted to do... Yes, something very important to him.
"Well," began Raisu, "You know how there's martial schools? I was thinking that maybe, well, I'd like to make my own. Pass on the teachings of my own teacher and all that."

The Saiyan tilted his head lightly, he had no idea there were actual martial schools. It was definitely an interesting thing to hear, it sounded a lot better than a normal school. Or at least, he was not fond of that kind of schools. “No.. I didn’t really know about martial schools. But it sounds like a nice ambition to have, you might be successful as a teacher to young and old people. I mean, you taught me how to sense energy, that means you’re good.” - he told him.
“I don’t really know who was your teacher, but he must have been powerful if you were his student.” - he said.
“I suppose passing on teachings of someone else is an important thing. Not sure how he or she was.. but I believe you were lucky, my parents were.. my teachers you might say. But that also meant they had to beat me down several times. My father tried to make me feel prideful and at the same time, he was the first one to break my spirit.. and spine.” - he let out a chuckle, taking another sip from his tea. It was about done, but it was a pleasure to enjoy it slowly.
“My mother.. well, I don’t know how to describe her. Let’s say both of them had their rigid moments. But hey, there was a reason for all of that, they just wanted for me to grow up as a strong person.” - he said.

Raisu grinned. Now that was validating. He had taught Corn how to sense ki. Just like Tsu Kini had taught him all those years ago. Already, he was passing on teachings. Was he doing her proud? Or had he screwed up somewhere along the way? Time would tell when he crossed the veil one day, and came face to face with her in the afterlife. Hopefully, he thought, that day was far away.
But still, what Cornatto had to say was quite interesting. He'd learned from his parents? To grow up under the tutelage of two Saiyan parents... Raisu shuddered to think what that might be like. He'd met Saiyans before. He knew how harsh they could be. To be a child among them must be rough.
"Heh, I think you had it roughest by far," he said as he took another sip of tea, gritting his tea as he thought of it, "My teacher, she was... Well, stern. She didn't break any bones, but she certainly whittled down my spirit, changed me and molded me. She herself wasn't that strong at all, but she certainly had a lot of spirit. Not a day goes by when I don't find myself going back to her lessons, you know? They help me, and I think others could do well with learning them."
Raisu sighed. If only her time in this world had not been cut short, Raisu might have asked her advice...
"But that's enough about me, really. How do you like your tea?"

The Saiyan listened to the Hybrid’s words carefully, perhaps she was stern for the greater good. After all, he could not see a martial arts teacher being soft, a fighter had to build up his body and character. He nodded, it was interesting to know how a warrior could not forget such things. Cornatto himself had found answers into what he was taught recently, during the Hybrid and the Saiyan’s spar in the Wastelands.
He looked at his own cup of tea and offered a nod. “It’s isn’t bad, it is quite good. I don’t usually drink such beverages, but it can't really bad, not like it can hurt you.” - he said. The Saiyan had nothing against drinks in general, but he was just fine with water, as long as there was good food!
“Pretty sure that.. uh.. whoever you inherited this shop from, would be happy to see this. You seem to know how to manage this kind of stuff.” - he told him, taking a last sip and in doing so, the rest of the tea, from his cup. He let out a sigh and placed the cup on the counter.
Shortly after, he took out a few Zenis and placed them on the counter. “So, how many clients you’ve got so far?” - he asked in mild interest.

Would Tsu Kini be happy? Raisu was not quite sure, and he could never be quite sure. Not until Raisu himself had moved beyond the veil and had broken his Earthly binds. And those days were, hopefully, far in the future. Of course, people who followed his walk of life were never quite safe and seeing tomorrow was never quite guaranteed.
But still, at least Cornatto had liked his tea. And such compliments. Perhaps Raisu was good at things other than hitting stuff until it exploded into a million tiny pieces. But he was getting ahead of himself, if the way he hesitated to answer Cornatto's next question was any indication. His mouth twisted into a frown and he ever so gently scratched the back of his own head.
"Uh," he began, searching for any words, "Don't laugh, but you're the first real customer I've had. Business can be kind of slow sometimes. I guess a tea shop isn't the most exciting place!"

The Saiyan looked at the Hybrid curiously, he had noticed how Raisu hesitated to answer his question, which was unusual. The Saiyan’s first thought was that something embarrassing happened and he didn’t want to tell him, but it could be anything really. But the real reason was nothing like he had imagined.
The Saiyan blinked slowly, tilting his head for a brief moment and glanced at the Hybrid. “..It could have been worse.” - he thought to himself. He offered a reassuring nod shortly after, he didn’t know that much about manage a business or anything like that.
“I see, but I wouldn’t say there is much to worry about.” - he paused there for a moment, smiling. “I mean, hey.. I might not be that insane and evil Saiyan everyone might think I am. But still, I am a warrior and also your first customer. I bet it won’t take long for this place to be full of people! Also, pretty sure people here have celebrations or stuff like that, you might try to take advantage of it and hold.. a party or something like that, with food and tea. That’d be a good idea, hm?” - he said, stretching his arms shortly after.

Now there were a few ideas, thought Raisu. And good ones, too. Riaus had inherited this shop, so he might as well make use of it. And besides, a party might be fun to have. Tsu Kini would certainly have appreciated it, somebody enjoying her tea shop. Yes, thought Raisu, that would be a good idea indeed. He'd have to work on that. Raisu smiled, a small one.
"You know, Cornatto," said Raisu softly, almost as if he were talking to himself, "That's not a bad idea at all. I might have to try that. Thanks."
Raisu rose from his seat and offered the Saiyan a small bow. He was certainly thankful for the ideas. Anything at all that might work at all, he'd try it. Raisu desperately wanted the tea shop to succeed. It was, at this moment, his greatest wish. His way to honor the ones he called family, even if they were not bound by blood. Raisu took a sip of his tea. It was cool now. Had they been talking long enough for their tea to chill?
"You know," said Raisu, thinking aloud, "This is really different from how we usually meet."

The Saiyan cracked a smile and offered a nod, he was glad that his idea was appreciated. He could see that idea work, he knew anyone would like a place where they could eat lots of stuff or at least until the end of the celebration. “At least I know I would like that.” - he thought to himself, letting out a chuckle.
Cornatto offered a bow of his head, in return to the Hybrid’s respectful gesture. Shortly after, he raised a brow in response to Raisu’s question. That was actually true, they had usually met for a spar or anything like that. It was definitely a curious thought. “Yeah, it is. I don’t mind, I mean.. I love fighting and I wish to become stronger but you also have to take a moment, sooner or later.” - he paused, looking at his own empty cup of tea for a moment before he rose from his seat.
“But I think we can consider ourselves lucky, there is also who can’t meet with the living.. not anymore.” - he told him, he was obviously making a comment regarding the recent Saiyan invasion, there were lots of victims and nobody could do much about it.

That much was true. Raisu knew all too well how many people had been lost. Raisu had to appreciate his life for what it was. At least he still had his. And his tea shop. And he was thankful for that much. Raisu nodded deeply, appreciating Cornatto's wisdom for what it was.
"Yeah, you're right about that," said Raisu, his voice somber, "Really right."
Raisu sighed. What a dark note to converse about. That certainly put a damper on his mood.
"Thanks for stopping in, Cornatto. It means a lot to me to have some customers."

Cornatto smiled and looked at the Hybrid once again, he was glad to hear those words, he had met quite a few friendly fighters, but at least he knew there was a good friend among them even if it was still a new feeling to him.
“Of course, it was cool to meet once again after our last spar. Didn’t really expect it but it’s all good.” - he said, nodding slightly before walking towards the door. He turned once more and cracked a smile. “Though, you better not forget that we are going to fight once again and when that day will come, I’ll be stronger than ever! You better prepare yourself.” - he told him, a confident smile could be seen.
“Take care.” - he said, leaving the shop and taking off. He flew away from the city, far away so that he could resume his training.
